And you want to feel better, right?”\n\nCalrin nodded slowly and pinched his nose before gulping down the medicine in one swig… after which his face scrunched as though he had just tasted the foulest thing in the world. He handed the cup back to his mother and lay back in bed.\n\n“Thanks mom…” The kit said, coughing some more.\n\nOlivia frowned slightly and turned to Henry. “I can’t take off today… have a breakthrough in the Swift case… please tell me you’ll be able to…”\n\nHenry sighed and shook his head. “No… I can’t… Mr. Tallis need to work on my sales pitch to Sukiyami Financial… we’re going to have to call someone.”\n\nOlivia sighed and crossed her arms. “My parents aren’t available on such short notice… and yours are all the way up in Albany…”\n\nHenry looked down at his son, wiping away some more sweat. “We can’t just leave him alone… Not this time.”\n\nOlivia looked down for a moment, in contemplation, before snapping her head back up. “What about Mrs. Halderton, that lady three houses down, next to the Daniels’?”\n\nHenry’s face lit up at the suggestion, nodding his head. “Great idea hun! She’s supposed to be great with kids! Give her a call.”\n\nOlivia nodded and went to get her number. After calling her and a few minutes of waiting, an older, female badger arrived at the door.\n\n“Thank you for coming, Mrs. Halderton.” Olivia said, shaking the badger’s paws and showing her in.\n\n“It’s no trouble, dear.” Mrs. Halderton said, “I enjoy watching young kits and whatnot.”\n\nHenry nodded a bit and handed her a slip of paper. “Well, here’s our contact information. Calrin’s upstairs in his bed. He just had some medicine a few minutes ago, so he won’t need anymore for a few hours at least, alright?”\n\nThe badger nodded and took the paper, patting Henry’s shoulder. “Understood, Mr. Bolfrey. Don’t worry, your kit’s in good paws. Now you two should leave, money doesn’t earn itself.”\n\nHenry and Olivia laughed a bit and left the house, locking the door behind them. Once they were gone, Mrs. Halderton turned to the stairs. “You can come out now, I don’t bite.”\n\nCalrin came down the final step and into view, wiping some snot with a tissue. “How did you see me?”\n\nMrs. Halderton smirked and tapped her temple. “Female intuition.” The badger walked over and looked over the young fox. “You do not look well. Off to bed with you, you need rest. I’ll be right down here, so just call for me if you need anything, ok, Caien?”\n\nCalrin tilted his head slightly. “It’s… Calrin, Mrs. Halderton… but alright.” The kit hobbled back up to bed, flopping down onto it when he finally got back to his room. The kit rolled around to stare at the ceiling, sniffling and coughing some more. \n\n“Man…” Calrin said, his voice groggy, “I hate being sick…”\n\nThe kit threw his arms up and threw them back down in a huff. As they made contact with his body, he looked down; his paws had landed on his crotch. The fox sighed and brought his paws up, hooking the waistbands of his pajama bottoms and his underwear.\n\n“Not like I have much else to do…” Calrin mumbled to himself as he pulled his pjs and underwear down, the kit’s sheath and sack now exposed. Mrs. Halderton smiled at the kit and poured some medicine for him. When he finished his soup, she gave him the little cup, and Calrin held his nose to drink it. This caused Mrs. Halderton to laugh a little, putting the cup away.\n\n“Alright, little Caldin, I have to check in with your parents, you enjoy the TV, alright?”\n\nCalrin rolled his eyes amusingly and nodded, continuing to watch the show, the occasional sneeze and sniffle escaping his body. You’re my friend!” He then jumped off the couch and zipped his backpack back up and headed for the door. “I need to get going, dad’s waiting outside in the car.”\n\nCalrin frowned a little and grabbed Justin’s arm. “Wait!”\n\nJustin turned around and tilted his head.\n\n“I haven’t been with any friend all day…” Calrin sniffled, “I know I’m sick… but can you stay, please?”\n\nJustin stared in surprise at his friend for all of a second before smiling and pulling Calrin close, giving him a playful noogie. “Ah, Cally ya softie! Whaddya say, Cally?”\n\nCalrin sighed and nodded a bit, turning back to his friend. “I guess it’d help...”\n\nJustin grinned and grabbed Calrin’s PJ pants, pulling them down in one quick motion, along with his underwear. Calrin was blushing heavily as he stepped out of the clothing and sat down on the floor again, watching Justin crawl on top of him to undo his PJ shirt, pulling it off.
