Shinxy and his crew quickly approached them. Shinxy: Dreike! You, what- Dreike: That's Rayquaza. It's fast, but it looks like we didn't get in here in time. The Professor has Lugia. Altan: He said his name is Commander Charon. Terra: That's... the first I'm hearing of this name. Crystal: He has two identities? But why? Dreike: Professor C. is a world renowned scientist. He's been hiding in the shadows because he didn't want people to discover he was in charge of Team Galactic. It would ruin his reputation. This "Commander Charon" guy doesn't have anything to lose by showing his face. In other words he showed up unmasked because he doesn't want people to know he and Professor C. are one in the same. Shinxy: So we just call him Professor C. after we've stopped him! Terra: And it doesn't matter either way, because once he's behind bars he won't be able to do anything! Commander Charon recomposed himself after Rayquaza's attack, calling out to Shinxy and Dreike's group from his megaphone. Charon: Well well, I didn't think I'd see you again, Terra. After I've given you such a cozy life in my mansion in the resort area, you've come to stab me in the back? Terra: You used me! You tricked me into thinking that pokemon were aliens so that I'd help you steal them from people! Of course I'm gonna do everything in my power to make things right, you crook! Charon: Fuhuhu... Kids are so easy to manipulate. But, am I really so wrong when I said that our kind was malicious? Just look at Lugia, it does my bidding because I captured it in a device made by us. Shinxy: Of course you're wrong! There's always gonna be evil people like you taking advantage of pokemon, but the majority of us view pokemon as our friends and partners, and our pokemon feel the same way! Charon: Butt out, whatever your name is. This is none of your business, so don't get involved or I'll destroy you along with Terra and her blue friend! Shinxy: I think this is very much my business! I'm the trainer with the Mew that your goons have been out to take from me since I first set out on my adventure! And I want to take you down as much as Terra and Dreike, so that I can keep travelling with my friends without you creeps bothering us! Charon: Is that right? Fuhyahyahyha! You know, we'd leave you alone if you just give it to us. Shinxy: Not in a million years! Mew also retaliated at Charon, hopping off of Shinxy's shoulders to float beside him and make angry Mew noises at the evil commander. Charon: Very well. With Lugia at my disposal, I can just take it from you here and now! Shinxy gritted his teeth and clenched his fists as his aura flared up, much stronger than ever before. Staring down the mastermind behind all the turmoil that he and his friends were put through sparked great determination withing him. Shinxy: Then what are you waiting for?! Come and get me, ass face! Mewtwo: That man has really gotten Shinxy fired up. I have never felt his aura at such a strong level. Charon: Insolent brats, the lot of you! I'll destroy you all! Lugia, use Aeroblast! Lugia opened it's mouth and fired a large beam of energy at Shinxy and his friends. Mewtwo quickly stepped in and used it's psychic power to nullify the attack as it closed in. Charon: What?! What is that?! Shinxy: Thanks, Mewtwo! I don't think we could've stopped that without you. Mewtwo: Of course. Charon, thinking to himself: This is unexpected... I thought I would just be dealing with Rayquaza, but that pokemon looks to have power great enough to rival my Deoxys... If I capture it, I could rule the whole world! Terra: Be careful, it looks like he's up to something. Charon: Lugia, use Rain Dance! Lugia's body glowed in a blue aura as storm clouds began to gather, covering up any trace of the sky as far as the eye could see in dark gray clouds. A heavy rain then began to fall, and citizen's of Sunnyshore City retreated into their homes. Crystal: What's he planning now?! Charon: Fuhyahaha! If you want to fight me, you're more than welcome to give chase! Lugia, Ascend! Lugia obeyed Charon's command, and flew upward, disappearing into the clouds. Terra floated up back onto Rayquaza's head. Terra: Everyone, get on! We can't let him get away! Dreike quickly jumped aboard Rayquaza beside Terra. Altan: We definitely should, but, Crystal and I don't have aura powers or pokemon that can fly. We wouldn't be of any help to you. Crystal: Yeah... Terra: Then Shinxy and Mewtwo, get on with Dreike and I, quickly! Shinxy: R-Right! Shinxy climbed aboard Rayquaza, and Mewtwo floated by it's side. Both legendary pokemon took to the sky with Shinxy, Dreike and Terra. Crystal: So... what do WE do? Altan: Felix said he wanted us to help him and Volkner defend Sunnyshore from the rest of Team Galactic trying to get in from Route 222. Let's go lend him a hand. Crystal: Okay! As Crystal and Altan went to join Felix, Adam and Volkner at Sunnyshore City's gate, Rayquaza had flown up above the cloud layer where Lugia had ascended to. From there, they located it and flew over to confront it and Commander Charon. Shinxy: Hey, you two notice something strange with Lugia? Dreike: What do you mean? Shinxy: Look at it's eyes! They're like, glowing red. I don't know anything about Lugia but I don't think that's normal. Terra: The pokeball must've been modified somehow. Lugia is not acting of it's own free will. Dreike: We'll be sure to beat the answers out of Charon after we bring him down. Shinxy: Okay! Charon: So, I see you all dared to follow me! Fuhuhuh, no one below will see what's happening in this layer of clouds, so now is the time to reveal my ace! Come forth, Deoxys! Charon pulled a pokeball out from his coat and threw it forward, releasing his Deoxys into the sky. It hovered beside him and Lugia. Mewtwo: It would seem the time has finally come to face this "Deoxys" I've heard so much about. This pokemon is radiating a very powerful aura... Yes, leave that one to me. Dreike took out two pokeballs from his bag and released his Charizard and Victini. He hopped on Charizard's back and separated from Rayquaza, flying to the left of it. Shinxy: Dreike, what are you doing?! Dreike: It'll be much easier to attack Luga if we can spread out. That way we can outnumber it while Mewtwo deals with Deoxys. Dreike then had Victini cling onto his back, and just like his battle with the former Commander Pluto, Victini shared it's power with Dreike, combining their powers and radiating a powerful green aura. Shinxy: Wow, his aura feels so powerful like that... Terra: I agree with his idea. Shinxy, do you have a flying pokemon you can ride on to fight Lugia with as well? Shinxy: I don't- oh, wait, yes I do! My Noivern! She just evolved a few hours ago though... Terra: That's fine! Bring it out to fight with us, please. Shinxy: Okay! Shinxy got Noivern's pokeball out from it's bag, and released it by Rayquaza's side, and it flew beside the larger dragon. Shinxy: Noivern, this is really important, but I need you to let me ride on your back so we can have this huge showdown with a legendary pokemon... I know I haven't been your trainer for as long as my other pokemon and you haven't carried a person on your back before but, can you do this for me? Noivern nodded affirmatively, and tilted itself closer to let Shinxy on board. Shinxy then carefully climbed aboard and sat down on Noivern's back, then allowed it to get some distance from Rayquaza. Shinxy: Alright, thanks a ton! Terra: You're very kind to your pokemon, Shinxy. It's nice to see that. Dreike: Just try not to fall. Shinxy: I wasn't thinking about falling until now... thanks.
