The day was still young, but the crew had a long journey ahead of them. The path leading to Snowpoint started with Mt. Coronet, but luckily they only needed to travel through the lower levels and no climbing was necessary. After a couple of hours, they found the exit from the mountain that led to Route 216, which would lead them to Snowpoint City. Upon exiting the mountain however, the crew was blasted with cold winds and heavy snow. Shinxy: W-Woah! What's with this weather?! Crystal: Let's get back inside! The gang quickly retreated back inside the mountain's cave entrance. Altan: Great. What are we supposed to do now? Crystal: The map on the pokegear shows that the way to Snowpoint from here is really long. This whole path is supposed to have weather like this? Mewtwo: I believe I can shield us from the high winds by exerting my aura, but doing so may be draining. Shinxy: That would be great! But before we go out there again, let's stop and eat first. This place isn't ideal for a picnic, but it's better than being out there. Crystal: Sounds good. The crew sat down and pulled some lunches out of their bags, making sure to fill their stomachs before setting out on a long, cold walk to Snowpoint. Once finished, they zipped up their bags, Shinxy gave Mewtwo it's robe, and the gang set out once again to Route 216. Upon exiting the cave, Mewtwo concentrated it's aura and released a field of energy around it. The aura shielded the group from the high winds. Shinxy: Wow, this is so much better! Altan: It's still cold, but that's to be expected. It'd be twice as cold if the wind were hitting us. Crystal: Thanks, Mewtwo! Mewtwo: You're all welcome, but let's hurry. I don't know how long I can keep this up. The gang made their way through the snow as fast as they could. Although the snow boots helped, the snow was thick and walking through it was slow and exhausting. They managed to get through Route 216 and halfway through Route 217 before Mewtwo became completely exhausted and it's energy barrier fell, and the group was caught once again in the high winds. Mewtwo: Ahh, I'm sorry... I can't keep it up anymore. Shinxy: I-It's okay! Let's just hurry through! The group kept pushing forward slowly, shivering through the intense cold despite their heavy clothing. The began to walk past a lone cabin, which they were planning to ignore until a silhouetted character with a lamp opened the door and motioned with an arm for Shinxy and his friends to come over. Crystal: L-L-Look over t-there... S-Someone is inv-viting us inside... Altan: D-Do we trust t-them? Shinxy: I'll t-take my chances, let's g-go! The turned and headed over to the cabin. The stranger headed inside and left the door open for them. Upon entering, they were greeted with a refreshing warm atmosphere and closed the door behind them. ??? Really, Tiffany? Why do you gotta go and let strangers in-... oh, one of them isn't a stranger. Altan: Wha- you two?! Tiffany: Hiiii! Wow, I didn't think I'd see you again, Altan! Shinxy: Ummmm... Altan, you know these to girls? Altan: Yeah, I met them in Eterna City. It's kind of a long story, but the reason I missed your battle with Gardenia was because I was battling these two. Stephanie: We were Team Galactic Commanders. Well, I was and my sister here was along for the ride. We left because it was boring us. Crystal: Okay... Well, thanks for letting us inside. Shinxy: We won't be long, we just need to rest up a bit. Altan: What are you two doing out here? Tiffany: We were just about to take a boat out and vacation in the Alola region. There's a port in Snowpoint City. Stephanie: We spent the night in this abandoned cabin, but it looks like the weather in Route 216/217 is particuarly extreme today. Shinxy: You mean it's not normally like this? Stephanie: No. It's always cold but not always this windy. The radio on the pokegear says it's supposed to calm down this evening. You're welcome to stay here, we don't care. We'll be leaving tonight when the winds calm down. Altan: We're just planing to stay however long is needed to rest and warm up. Mewtwo: I'm going to need about half an hour or so. Shinxy: If we knew we'd get to make a pit stop then we would've saved our lunches for now, heheh. The gang stayed at the cabin and socialized with their new friends until Mewtwo had enough energy to make another barrier, then they proceeded to head out. Crystal: Thanks again for letting us in! We could've been dangerous people for all you knew. Tiffany: Same to you! But we're also pokemon trainers so we aren't worried about helping some strangers out, even if they turn out to be familiar faces. Stephanie: Well, one of you, at least. Altan: It was... nice catching up with you. I hope you have a good vacation. Tiffany: Thanks! We hope you have a safe journey, byyyyeeeee~ Mewtwo put up another field of energy, and the crew continued through Route 217. Shinxy: Those two were really nice! Altan: Yeah. I'm glad they were serious about leaving Team Galactic. I'd rather not get in any battles in this weather. As they closed in on Snowpoint City, they noticed a tall Team Galactic building with police tape around it, blocking anyone from getting too close. Crystal: Wow, what's this all about? Shinxy: I guess the Sinnoh PD seized this building. Looks like it used to belong to Team Galactic. Altan: Good. That means we shouldn't be getting into any trouble here. Once the gang had finally arrived at Snowpoint, the wind was still and the snowfall was gentle. They could finally see the sky and tell it was nighttime. Shinxy: Wow, we spent all day getting here? Altan: Fine with me, we can just rent a hotel room and take it easy right now. Crystal: Yeah, I'm tired too. Shinxy: Fiiiine... I'll challenge the gym first thing in the morning! The gang paid for a hotel room and settled in. After cleaning up and changing into their pajamas, they got into their bunks and drifted off to sleep. Shinxy once again brought his Arcanine out to sleep on, as it's warm fur was especially comforting after being in the cold for so long. Around the same time, Stephanie and Tiffany had just boarded a boat in the port, and set off to leave Sinnoh.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t | \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
