Many buildings attracted their eyes; the flashy game corner, the large department store building, the gym, and a large peculiar building with four towers ands many spikes built on each end. All were suspended on large, stone hills. Crystal: What's with that huge spikey building over there? Altan: I don't know. Let's ask around. The crew found a citizen willing to answer about it. As a resident of Veilstone for many years, he explained how the building was once Team Galactic's headquarters. However, with Team Galactic having been defeated many years ago, the building's Team Galactic symbols had been painted over, the satellites removed, and the place re-purposed as A mega-hotel to attract tourism. Access to the basement was sealed off to the main building and abandonned, as the large building itself had plenty of room for storage. With that explanation, the gentleman went on back to his business. Shinxy: Wow, a mega-hotel... maybe we can stay there overnight! Altan: That guy said the basement of the building had been abandonned... Hey, remember what our new friend, Felix, told us back in Jubilife City? Crystal: Yeah! He said his friend who's a Team Galactic commander was stationed here, didn't he? Altan: The guy's name is Adam, and Felix said he was in the old Galactic building there. If the building itself turned into a mega-restaurant, I bet Adam's base of operations is in the "abandonned" basement. Shinxy: While we're here, we should explore that place, see if Felix is alright. He definitely got here before we did. But, that's after we stop at the gym! Crystal: Shouldn't helping Felix be a higher priority? Altan: No, Shinxy's right. Felix didn't want Team Galactic to get in the way of our own adventure. Besides, if Felix needed our help he would've called us. I'm sure he's doing fine. Mewtwo: I am fine with this. I would enjoy meeting more of Shinxy's friends. Shinxy and his friends stopped at the Pokemon Center and got Shinxy's pokemon quickly healed up. Now, he felt he was ready to take on the Veilstone City gym. Upon exiting the Pokemon Center, a familiar face greeted them outside. Felix: Guys! Long time no see. Shinxy: Wow, Felix! We were just talking about you. Altan: Ummm... what's with the hat and eye mask? Felix: It's a long story, but everything's fine. I've managed to get Adam to change from his evil ways. He just needed a good punch in the face and some sunlight to set him straight. So, what is that pokemon there? Mewtwo: I am Mewtwo. Shinxy is my trainer. It is a pleasure to meet you, one of his friends. Felix: Wow, a talking pokemon? You make sure you protect it as well as your Mew. Shinxy: You bet! Crystal: Hey, so, were you waiting out here for us for any special reason? How did you know we were here, too? Felix: Adam's got lots of cameras outside the city, and we saw you come in. I just wanted to update you on what happened with him and I. The reason I have this get-up on is because we're working as double-agents in Team Galactic. I need to be in disguise so nobody recognizes me. We need access to the technology in the basement of the old Galactic Headquarters to make our plan work. Shinxy: Ah, neat! Felix: I also wanted to ask, was it you guys who uhh... got rid of Commander Pluto? Crystal: Who's that? Felix: Polar bear guy, tall and muscular, smokes a cigar... Altan: Doesn't ring a bell. Mewtwo: We have not met this man. Felix: Huh. He's definitely not someone you'd forget. I guess someone else took care of him. Anyways, It'd be in your best interest to take care of whatever business you have in Veilstone City and leave ASAP. Shinxy: Why's that? Felix: There's still normal Team Galactic Grunts stationed around the entrance to the basement. It'll be trouble if they come after you. Shinxy: Fine then, let them try to stir trouble with us! We'll send them away crying! Felix: Heheheh, You got much stronger since we battled, haven't you? Well, It'll be hard for Adam and myself if you engage Team Galactic in combat here. We'd have to fight with you too, and I'm not sure how well we can convince the rest of the grunts that we're your enemies if we're not seriously trying to bring you down. They'd probably get suspicious when I battle with the same pokemon I used when I wasn't a traitor. I might get found out. Shinxy: Oh... I really wanted to stay and explore, then maybe spend the night at that mega-hotel, but I guess I can just get the gym badge and leave... Crystal: And I wanted to stop at the game corner afterwards! There's a poster in the pokemon center that lists the prizes you can win, they have evolutionary stones! Shinxy: Wha- for real?! I didn't see that! Altan: You were probably too focused on watching the machine heal your pokemon in their pokeballs, but yeah, there was an ad that said so. Shinxy: Aww man, I could've gotten a Fire Stone for Growlithe! Crystal: Exactly! Growlithe had a sad look upon hearing the sudden news, that he would miss out on evolving because his trainer would have to leave the city much sooner than they wanted. Felix: Hey, no worries. You go battle the gym, and I'll get you that Fire Stone. I stop by the game corner and slack off from time to time. Adam doesn't need my help 24/7. I was saving up for Technical Machine, but I'm pretty close to having enough for an evolutionary stone. Shinxy: Really? You'd do that for me? Felix: Of course. It's the least I can do to pay you back for helping me get out of Team Galactic to begin with. Shinxy: Thanks, Felix! You're awesome! Felix: No problem. Though, you'll have to challenge the gym while I'm getting coins from the game machines. I can get enough by the time your battle is over. Shinxy: That's alright! I didn't know having the stone before the battle was a possibility anyways. We can win before Growlithe evolves! Growlithe smiled and wagged his tail, excited to evolve once the upcoming match was over. Felix: Okay, good luck in your battle. Meet me at the game corner when you're done. Whether you win or not, I'll have the Fire Stone. Shinxy: Sounds good! Felix headed over to the Game Corner, and Shinxy's grounp began to make their way to the Veilstone gym. Shinxy: Alright! We win this battle, then we get to evolve Growlithe into an Arcanine! Crystal: This is gonna be great! Mewtwo: I've never seen a pokemon evolve before.
