Shinxy: Oh that. Well, Mew is a special rare mystical pokemon and some really bad guys will try to steal her, so It's in our best interest to keep Mew's identity a secret so we won't get targeted. Crasher Wake: I see. I guess that's a smart thing to do, but not how I would go about it. Shinxy: What would you do? Crasher Wake: I would treat Mew as any of my other pokemon, and let it out of it's pokeball and battle without fear, because I'm confident in my pokemon's strength! If anyone tried to steal my pokemon, I'd for sure make them sorry! Shinxy: That would be nice... Crasher Wake: It's really up to you how you want to adventure, young man. You seem to have a nice crew of friends there as well. They follow you around? Shinxy: Yeah, and they have their own pokemon as well! Crasher Wake: Then it seems like you're pretty set. You've got strong pokemon, and so do they. In my opinion, you don't have much to fear at all. You and your friends' pokemon can take on all challengers, and if someone wants to take your pokemon away, then pull them under! Make it known that your crew is not to be messed with! Shinxy: You do make a good point, mister Crasher Wake... To be honest, Mew was my first pokemon and I didn't really have any experience, which is why I needed to keep her hidden. But, now I have a strong team, and friends with great pokemon as well. Crystal: That's right! As long as we always travel together, nothing can stop us! Altan: Are saying what I think you're saying? Shinxy: That's right! No more disguising Mew and Mewtwo! And if someone wants to try and take them away, we pull them under! Crasher Wake: Haha! That's the spirit! Wait, "Mewtwo"? What's that? Mewtwo removed it's cloak and held the clothing in front of it, revealing itself to the gym leader and proceeding to speak telepathically. Mewtwo: I am Mewtwo. I lived in a cave for a long time, so I do not like to be sealed in a pokeball. I am Shinxy's pokemon, but I do not wish to battle. Crasher Wake: My gosh, what an extraordinary pokemon! I don't blame you for wanting to keep that a secret. Shinxy: But Mewtwo is also insanely strong, much stronger than any of the pokemon I used to battle with. Mewtwo: And I will make sure to protect my trainer, by any means necessary, as he does for me. Crystal: Kind of a shame though since that robe and hat is new, and now we're not gonna need it... Crasher Wake: Well, you might want to keep that handy if you're planning on heading to Snowpoint City in the near future. It's way up north, and there's a gym to challenge there as well. It's also the coldest place in all of Sinnoh, there's snow everywhere! Yeah, you don't want Mewtwo walking around without some warm clothes up there. Shinxy: Sounds good! We'll keep that in mind. Crasher Wake: Fantastic! Now then, I won't keep you any longer. Have fun in the Great Marsh! Shinxy and his friends stopped by the pokemon center after leaving the gym, so Shinxy could have his team restored to full health. Once they exited, Shinxy allowed Mew to fly around out of it's pokeball and Mewtwo did not hide under the heavy clothing, despite being in a public area. After the trip to the pokemon center, the gang stopped by the Great Marsh to have some fun. The staff issued them special boots and suits so Shinxy and his friends would not have to worry about ruining their clothes as they trekked around in the mud. Mewtwo did not get a suit however, as it was a pokemon, but having the ability to fly kept it mostly clean. Crystal managed to catch herself a Marill, though Shinxy was confused by the mechanics of catching pokemon in the Great Marsh. Having to lure in pokemon with bait and using pokeballs without weakening the wild pokemon first was a bit too challenging for him for the time being. Altan was not interested in catching a pokemon there. By the time they had left the Great Marsh, The sun had begun to set, so the gang decided on staying in a small hotel in Pastoria. They each took a shower before going to bed, even Mewtwo. Crystal: Is Mewtwo okay in there by herself? Shinxy: She's fine! Altan was right to let Mewtwo shower last. She's been confined in that cave on Mount Coronet for five years, she's probably never had a shower before. Must feel so good she'll never want to come out. Altan: She'll get out once she uses up the last of the hot water. Mewtwo emerged from the bathroom some time later, dripping wet. Mewtwo: The water stopped feeling nice and warm, and I do not know how to get it off of me. Shinxy: Those cloths hanging from the metal rack on the wall are towels, just rub one all over your body and it'll you'll get dry no problem! Crystal: Yes, please don't step out of the bathroom soaking wet, you'll ruin the carpet and the bed sheets. Mewtwo: Oh. Thank you. Mewtwo took a towel from the rack, and used it's psychic power to let it float around it's body to absorb the water, getting it completely dry. Shinxy: There, now we're all ready for bed! Crystal: So, where do you want to go next, Shinxy? Shinxy: That's a tough call. Do we go to the Veilstone gym, or the Sunnyshore gym? Altan: Let's go to Sunnyshore City first. Looking at the map, it seems like the best option. That way we don't have to keep making trips back and forth. Shinxy: Sounds good! Welp, time for bed. Gotta get plenty of rest for more gym battles! Everyone said their goodnights, and got in their own bunks to sleep.
