The Resort Area is where Terra had been giving orders to members of Team Galactic from when she used to be tricked into thinking they were a force for good by Professor C. Saturn's Honchkrow was of course exhausted after the trip, having to carry it's trainer through the skies of Sinnoh and taking multiple breaks. Saturn assured his pokemon it would recieve a special poffin treat for the hard work and let Honchkrow stay outside it's pokeball to keep guard. Saturn: It feels odd standing in front of the boss' empty chair... Then again, that Rayquaza-hooded kid was being manipulated by someone else. Maybe this mysterious leader is inside the building? Saturn walked passed the chair and stood in front of the mansion, looking up at the windows on the top floor and checking the inside from the first floor windows. Saturn: Looks empty... Hmmmm. I think I'm going about this wrong. This "Professor C." went through a lot of trouble propping up that girl to be the apparent boss of Team Galactic. He obviously doesn't want to be found so easily. Saturn paced back to Terra's chair. The left arm-rest had a circular device with lights on it, the tool she once used to contact commanders directly. Saturn: The girl used this thing to contact the commanders directly. Maybe one of these channels is connected to the professor?... No, too easy. He walked around and inspected the chair from top to bottom, then he turned his attention to the contact device. He carefully looked on top of, then at the sides and noticed a very small, subtle button on the side. Saturn pressed the button and suddenly a rectangular cellar door was revealed in front of the chair. Saturn: Bingo. Saturn walked down the steps, the sunlight fading as he descended further and further. Finally, he reached a straight floor and found himself walking down a short hallway, lighted up by circular ceiling lights. He kept walking straight until he found a door, the only door on the whole path. Saturn: ...There's people talking on the other side. Gotta be careful. He carefully pushed the door open just a crack, enough for him to see what was going on. What he saw was a hooded figure talking with Adam, or "Commander Mercury" via video communications. Adam: ...I don't know the cause at this time, the alert just came up a few minutes ago. I'll send someone to Eterna Forest to investigate. ???: Please do. Losing yet another commander is very unfortunate. You, Rodney as the new Neptune, and Saturn are the only commanders that currently remain. Adam: Just promote some replacements. I'm sure we have captains with strong enough pokemon to take the places of Mars, Venus and Pluto. You're a smart guy, you'll pick the right ones. Now I must get back to work. ???: Very well. The hooded man ended the call with Adam. Once Saturn was confident that no one else was watching, he stepped into the room to confront him. Saturn: So, you're the one who's been pulling the strings this whole time? Professor C., I assume? The hooded man tensed up once he heard Saturn intrude and identify him. In response, the Professor put on a show he'd become accustomed too when talking to those unaffiliated with Team Galactic. Professor C.: Yes indeed! It is I, Professor C.! Masked scientist extraordinaire~! You are either very lucky, or clever to intrude upon this underground laboratory in the middle of my video call, otherwise I would have been alerted to your presence! I suppose you would like to be honored with an autograph, Commander Saturn? Saturn: Heheh, that's funny. But no. You should know I'm here for answers. Like why the hell you told some kid to boss us around instead of doing it yourself? Professor C.: Ah yes, Terra. After I found her alone in the woods after her parents were tragically murdered, I gave her a purpose! Of course, now she decided to run off, but luckily I have another Rayquaza hood and a mask like hers to simply keep business going as usual! Saturn: That doesn't answer my question. Professor C.: Of course of course. Team Galactic's situation was quite sad before I bought it from you. I aim to turn this organization into the world's top company! Though Team Galactic is unfortunately seen in a negative light, so I must work from the shadows. The scientific community would be quite upset with me if they knew I was Team Galactic leadership! Saturn: Sure. Though, I think they'd be more upset if they found out who you were under that mask. Right... Commander Charon? There was a pause. The masked man put his arms to his sides and clenched his fists, giving Saturn a glare. Professor C.: Heh... Heheh... Commander Saturn... I should've suspected as much. Only someone who knew me before Team Galactic's down-bringing seven years ago could figure out my identity behind this charade. The Professor removed his mask and robe, revealing his true identity, confirming to Saturn it was indeed Commander Charon behind that mask. Charon: So... how'd you guess? Saturn: You hide your voice well, but I still recognize it. Also, "Professor C." isn't exactly the most clever alias. Did you get taller? Charon: No, these sagging pants are hiding my feet. They're strapped on top of fake boots to make me look taller. Charon cleared his throat, then approached Saturn. Charon: Hmph! I needed a break from that charade anyways, doing that voice tires my throat. Saturn: I didn't think I'd see you again after you were caught by the international police. Charon: Well I only spent about three years in jail... I was let out on good behavior and set out to make more of myself... took a new identity and became a world-renowned scientist. Made enough money to buy Team Galactic. You know the story. Saturn: Not really. Charon: Oh whatever. Anyways! Now that I'm in charge of Team Galactic, I will rebuild our former glory and take this organization to the top. We will take over the whole world with myself at the helm~ Saturn: What makes you think you can? Cyrus couldn't pull it off. Charon: That's because Cyrus was selfish and ignorant. He also didn't have the engineering prowess of Commander Mercury by his side either. I won't make the same mistakes Cyrus made, because my vision for Team Galactic is much different! Saturn: How, exactly? Charon: You see, while I traveled the world, I came across a frighteningly powerful pokemon... One called Deoxys. You heard of this, yes? It was in one of my magazines. Saturn: I think so... didn't say that you set it free to go back to space where it came from? Charon: Indeed that's what I wrote for my article, but of course it was a lie. I'm still in possession of Deoxys, and it will be very essential to our uprising. Not only that, but I've been keeping track of another powerful pokemon called Lugia, which will be surfacing near the Sinnoh region to roost not too long from now. With Lugia and Deoxys' power, Team Galactic will rule the world! Saturn: What about that Rayquaza that you were rumored to have too? Charon: That Rayquaza was tamed by Terra. She took off with it. I sent Commander Pluto to retrieve it, but... well, it appears he is dead. Saturn: Damn... Charon: I suspect Terra will use Rayquaza against us if I try to use Deoxys' power publicly. That's why I need Lugia. With both of them serving Team Galactic, there will be no one to stand against us and we will rule... That is my vision, one of leadership, not selfishness. Charon reached into his pocket and showed Saturn an empty Master Ball. Saturn's eyes widened a bit as he realized the implications. Charon: I see you're catching on... yes. Catching Lugia will be as easy as tossing this Master Ball at it. My vision for Team Galactic isn't as obscure as you were thinking it was, isn't it? Well, If we're going to make it to the top, I'm going to need you by my side, to continue serving this company as Commander Saturn... What do you say? Saturn paused briefly, looking to his left side to ponder. Charon seemed to share a vision for Team Galactic that he once had. Saturn wanted Team Galactic and every member in it to succeed, with no rivals. And Charon appeared to have the tools and the plans to make it happen. He then looked back at Charon, having made his decision. Saturn: ...Okay, you're the boss. What should I do first? Charon: Excellent, you won't regret it! Now then, there is a pokemon trainer out there in Sinnoh in possession of a Mew, a mystical pokemon. That pokemon will serve us well, and it would be great if you could acquire it for us. Saturn remembered meeting Shinxy in Jubilife City. At the time he knew about Shinxy's Mew, but wasn't very obedient to the Rayquaza-hooded boss that turned out to be Terra. He let Shinxy walk free with his Mew, but wasn't going to admit that to Charon. Saturn: Alright. I'll head out now. If I find this trainer, I'm taking that Mew. Charon: Good. I wish you the best of luck. Saturn then turned around and headed out, having nothing else to ask.
