With an affirmative shout, Mew teleported straight behind the ghostly 'mon as it let out it's sinister gaze, avoiding the attack completely. Shinxy: Great! Now, use Psybeam! Fantina: Oh dear! Haunter, look out! Haunter was still left confused itself, having been caught off guard by Mew suddenly disappearing before it's eyes. By the time it got it's act together, Haunter was struck clean in the back by Mew's psychic wave. Thanks to the advantagous type match-up, Mew's attack caused Haunter to faint. Mewtwo: I didn't expect such a counter, it was very well-thought out. Altan: You haven't seen Shinxy battle before. He can come up with really slick strategies on his feet sometimes. Crystal: Yeah! You got this, Shinxy! Fantina smiled faintly as she returned her fainted Haunter to it's pokeball. She then tossed out her last one, releasing her Mismaguis onto the battlefield. Fantina: Oh, heavens. Is this my last pokemon? Shinxy chuckled softly and rubbed the back of his head with his right hand, a little confused by Fantina's question. Shinxy: Eheheh, what do you mean? Shouldn't you know that? Crystal: I think she's trying to make the scene a bit dramatic, being a professional performer. Fantina: Ohohoho! Indeed, my back is against the wall here. Mismagius is my last pokemon, but also my strongest! Now, it's time to prove your mettle, son of Shanon! Shinxy: Okay, bring it! Fantina: Mismagius, use Magical Leaf! Shinxy: Mew, fly out of the way, quick! Mew flew up and to the right, appearing to be able to dodge the Magical Leaves, but the attack arched and began homing in on it. Fantina: Ohoho! You'll find that trying to dodge Magical Leaf is utterly fruitless, as it seeks out it's enemy! Shinxy: Darn! Okay, Mew, keep flying and attack Mismagius while it's open! Use Ice Beam! Mew had to slow down slightly to execute it's attack. The beam of ice shot quickly from it's hands, striking Mismagius directly. At the Same time, the Leaves caught up and struck Mew from behind. Both of the competitors momentarily reeled from the attacks. Fantina: Wonderful! My heart is racing at the sight of this performance! Mismagius, use Shadow Ball! Shinxy: Mew, push it back with Psybeam! Both pokemon shot their attacks at once. The Shadow Ball and Psybeam collided, and Mew kept streaming energy into it's attack to try and push back Mismagius' move. Shinxy, thinking to himself: It's a risky play.
