\n\t\t\t\t\tfetalstarNaomi comes from the feral, hybrid Okapi clan. The okapis are a very small group, unlike the hyenas, and are also very close knit, seldom socializing with the other tribes. Naomi is the daughter of the clan's chief, the second eldest of five. Thanks to an illness when she was a toddler, Naomi cannot bear children, which downgraded her status in the clan. When her father died when she was fourteen, her older brother became the new chief and attempted to marry her off immediately to the lion tribe to form an alliance. On her wedding night, Naomi traded all of her gold jewelry with the exception of her bells for a flight to the states. While there, she was homeless for awhile until she was taken in by a human foster family. She met Brock in high school and became pretty quick friends. She currently attends college with him.
Okapi hybrids have a tradition of dyeing their hair with the same toxin that the other tribes use for tattooing ink. In its raw form, which the okapis use, the resulting colors are random, but the Okapi believe that these colors reflect their auras and fate. They also will pass down their hair adornments to their children. Naomi's bells are from her mother, who died in childbirth.
Naomi is very kind and sweet. She has a hard time standing up for herself but is very mellow tempered. She is high school sweethearts with Brock's cousin, Callie, a Clydesdale hybrid.
