Shira wanders in after a night on the town. Shi had fun but, between a few (okay, five) drinks and a couple weird nights of sleep, shi’s darn near exhausted. The sparkling dragoness can barely go a minute without yawning as shi sits down and tries to write something short to close out the night. The words just aren’t coming, though. About an hour ago, after seeing another friend safely get home, the last of Shira’s real energy left hir. Shi still went through the motions of getting home and checking on things, but hir imagination was struggling to come up with anything worth writing about. Maggie notices Shira staring blearily at a computer monitor with a blank writing tab open. She knows the minidrake *wants* to write but, sometimes, one’s body or muse isn’t cooperative. The feral magpie struts over to her smaller friend and pushes her beak right under the micro’s snout. Shira is confused for a moment, as the dark mode on hir monitor is a similar hue to the bird, but Maggie’s soft, soothing vocalizations wake hir up just enough to understand what’s happening. “Hey Maggie…” Shira’s voice is heavy with exhaustion. “Told ya I’d be joining you for some creative work tonight. I can’t see through your beak, though it is very cute.” The dragon leans forward to give hir feral friend a soft kiss. It’s an act of kindness the bird decides to repay in kind. Maggie’s kisses are quite different than Shira’s, though. A bird’s beak isn’t made for giving out smooches. What’s an avian to do? The bird lifts her head slightly and pushes Shira back in hir chair. Maggie’s mouth opens… then closes around the micro’s entire head. Shira’s head frill is pinned by the upper part of the bird’s beak; hir snout is squeezed by the lower part. Maggie drags her tongue heavily over Shira, licking from the dragoness’ neck to the bottom of hir snout, then continuing over hir face, all the way to the very top of hir head. Only then does she release the saliva-drenched minidrake to let the girl catch hir breath. Shira had been wrong about one thing: Shi wasn’t completely exhausted before, since that heavy ‘kiss’ took even more out of hir. While the dragoness tried to catch hir breath, Maggie pushed her beak between the lady’s legs and lifted the anthro onto her head, with Shira belly-first atop her. A quick walk to the bedroom (nest–room?) followed. Once Maggie settled into her nest, she dipped her head to place Shira next to her. A raised wing was all the invitation Shira needed. The anthro nestled in against the warmth of bird feathers and shi peacefully dozed off soon after.
