Opening the door to our appartment, I dragged in a heavy bag full of ice. I know people are gonna complain about the carpet being wet but with this heat wave and the ac units being blown, we really do not care. I heard the shower running in Shade's room so I can take a guess she was soaking in cold water again.

I gave it some thought before the idea of swimming came to mind. "You two want to go swimming? We can try to head to the lake nearby." Kitsuno thinks it over a bit before shaking her head. She then looks at her sister, who was starting to come to as she lets the ice on her melt and soak into her already wet fur. "Plus, it would be a long walk. I don't think Shade would make it."

"Well, what else are we suppose to do? Can't just sit around until the power comes back on." My eyes focused on Shade as she lowers the ice onto her groin and I just see the content look of relief on her face. "Hey Shade, don't you know any ice magic?" She blinks a bit as she regains focus of reality. "Sweetie, while I do know some, it's gonna take a lot out of me to even try to focus my magic in this heat wave. I'm more than likely gonna pass out attempting to do so."

Leaning down to the bag of ice, I grab a chunk out of it and started rubbing it on my neck to help cool myself off as the heat was starting to affect me again. Lugging a sixty pound bag of ice around was not easy, but it did keep me cooled off being near it enough. My mind ponders on what needs to be done then to help all of us beat the heat.

We all stayed silent for a while as we took chunk after chunk of ice out of the bag. It's not gonna last forever at this rate and we need to do something. Kitsuno stares at the bag as it grows lower and water was collecting on the floor. She then sighs and gets up to walk over to a drawer to open it and pull out a map of the area.

Her finger roams around the roads a bit before she stops at a certain location on it. "Well, we're all gonna pass out at this rate. I guess we can cut through the alleyways here and through the forest. We can see if that pathway to the lake is still there or not." She then looks at Shade, "Sis, go ahead and get dressed. I know, I know. It's hot and you don't want to. But you remember what happened last time you went out naked around here?"

Shade groans a bit and I can already feel her discomfort for having to do so just to stay safe from the police. "Yeah I know. Bunch of prudes in this area... and yet they are fine with the prostitutes. Just can't win with these people." She gets back up and slowly walks into her room to start digging through her clothes. I look at Kitsuno who closes the map and gets up to head to her room and gather her stuff. I wait for them both for a bit before having to grab the bag of ice... well. Water at this rate as most of it is melted. "Hey guys, what should I do with the bag? Dump it or put it in the freezer?"

Kitsuno walks out of her room with a towel in her hand as she looks at the bag. "Eh... I don't know Mel. If the power doesn't come back on, it'll leak everywhere. Plus, do you think you can get it up there easily?" Turning towards the freezer, I carefully lift the bag up off the ground and slowly walked over to it. Once I opened the door, I saw that there were a couple pizzas inside and a box of fudgebars. Quickly closing it so that stuff doesn't melt immediately, I lift the bag up over towards the sink and pour it over inside.

Moving over to the door, I waited for a little while as I wait for those two to get ready. Kitsuno was the first to come out as she had put on a light blue bikini with a towel wrapped around her shoulders. She looks at me before glancing into Shade's room. "Melissa, shouldn't you change into your swimwear? Just in case there are other people?"

"Already got it sis." Shade comes out of her room wearing a tight red bikini and threw over to me my leopard patterned bikini. I fumbled a bit catching it before looki g at them both. "Do I have to?" They nod as I looked down at it. "Fine..." I started lifting my shirt off and felt it peel off against my fur. Once I had it over my ears, I balled it up and tossed it on top of the counter. After that I undid my pants and started peeling those off as well. Once I bent down to pull my pants off my ankles, I look up to see both of them with a hand on their faces.
