The cheetah was staring at her with a smile on his face. “Morning Evalyn.”\n“Hmm…morning Casey.” She gave him a quick peck. “I take it you’ll have to do your mansion owner stuff?”\nCasey flopped on his back. “Oh, right…guess I should. And you were going to see how your brother was doing right?” He got out of bed and grabbed some clothes. “I’ll be in the bathroom. You go and see what he is up to. And thanks for last night.”\nEvalyn returned the thanks and got her underwear, which was still spread throughout the room. In the excitement of last night she forgot to grab her clean clothes from the room she shared with her brother, so she had to go out like this. Not that she minded. If it wasn’t for the possible guest with Shane and no idea how he would react, she would go back naked.\nWhen Evalyn went to her room, she wondered what she would find. She hoped to see Shane with Daniel, because seeing Shane with another boy was a fantasy of hers as well. She silently opened the door and peeked inside.\nThere were no sounds coming from the room other than some relaxed breathing, so she figured Shane was still asleep. She slowly stepped in the room and closed the door.\nShe could see the maid uniform on the ground, folded neatly, the underwear sort of properly placed, but a very disheveled bed. She could see Shane sleeping in the other bed with his back turned to her. Evalyn knew Daniel had to be around somewhere as well and she circled the bed with her brother to find the mouse being the little spoon. He totally disappeared in Shane’s body and the sight was quite adorable. Even more so when Evalyn reminded herself that the mouse was 16 years old.\nShe decided to let them lay there for a while and went to the bathroom herself. She grabbed some clothes and towels and took a nice shower.\n\nShane awoke to the sound of the running water. He wondered who it could be when the events from last night came back to him. He could smell Daniel’s hair and the mouse was laying quietly against him. Shane stretched himself, which lead to Daniel waking up as well. The mouse turned towards Shane. “Good morning Shane. Slept well?” “Morning Dani. Yes I did. How about you?”\n“Hmm hmm. I’m a bit slow getting up though. Do you mind if I keep laying here for a while.”\n“Oh, I totally get that. I’m the same. And we can’t use the bathroom right now anyway. I think Evalyn’s in there.”\nOnly now did Daniel realize that the shower was running. He could hear a bit of humming as well and Evalyn’s appointed closet was open. “I guess she is. O well. I should probably get back to my duties soon as well…but first 15 more minutes of rest.” And he snuggled Shane some more.\nShane could not tell if this was genuine or an act. After all, it is not what one would expect of a 16-year old boy, but he found it charming nonetheless. He stared at the ceiling, thinking what to tell his sister.\n\nAs Evalyn came back out of the bathroom 15 minutes later, the boys were just getting up. Daniel was sitting on the edge of the bed, rubbing his eyes and Shane had already put on some shorts. “Morning boys. How was your night?”\nDaniel turned quickly to Evalyn when she heard her call him a boy. “You know?”\n“Well, it was pretty obvious when I saw you two spooning just now. But yeah, Casey told me.” She sat on the disheveled bed. “So, I want to hear all about it.”\nShane sat up straight and faced his sister, a blush forming on his cheeks. “What? Telling about it just like that?” Daniel signed. “I told you, didn’t I Shane? Girls like it when two boys have fun. Just tell her. No use in keeping it hidden. I’ll...just…zzz” \nShane poked Daniel again, but got swatted away by the mouse. “While you tell her, I can catch up some more sleep…no-one will miss me downstairs until noonish when lunch is being served.”\nAnd just like that, Daniel was again snuggling inside the blankets.\nShane brought his hand to his face. “Aww…but telling it is so embarrassing. Sheesh, fine.”\nShane told Evalyn all about the events that transpired after she left. How he wanted to talk first –that’s so like you Shane-, how Daniel questioned the idea if Shane would like to be paired with another boy and his response –noting this for future use, said a smirking Evalyn-, and how Daniel came out himself towards Shane after the answer.\nEvalyn listened intently, but really leaned forward when it seemed like things were getting to the good part.\n“- so we pretty much did it where you were sitting right now. At first he just licked my feet and I got a really good feeling out of it.”\n“Wait. Your feet?” Evalyn asked, “that’s new. Perhaps I should try it too once.”\n“Perhaps…but anyway, he was very submissive and let me do whatever I want to him when it came to the real deal. I admit, I liked being able to be on top for once.”\nEvalyn gestured at Shane. “Well, you should fight me for it once in a while instead of just listening to me.” She flashed him a wide grin. “I’d like to see that side of you too someday.”\nAs she looked behind Shane she asked her brother. “Hey, can you poke him for me? I want to ask him something.” \nShane got Daniel awake once more and as the mouse looked over at the siblings it was clear Evalyn had something to tell him. “So miss, what is it you wanted to know?”\nEvalyn eyed both of the guys again and said. “Well Dani, would you like to join the two of us someday? Perhaps have some fun with me too? I always like playing with submissive boys.”\nDaniel was very firm in his answer: “I’m flattered you think of me, but I must respectfully decline that offer. I’m only that intimate with other boys. Besides, I know someone else who would love to take you up on the offer. And if I’m not mistaken you’ve been intimate with him already and from what I heard of your brother, so has he.”\n“Oh, yes, Casey was great as well, but he’s also taller than the both of us. He got out and walked casually towards his clothes, still butt naked. “When you’re in the mansion next time, be sure to think of me, alright Shane? I’m willing to do this again some time. And can one of you help me tie the strings behind my back?”\nShane and Evalyn helped the mouse get on the uniform together and saw him walk off towards the staff area. As he was out of the hallway door Evalyn looked at his brother and said “Well Shane, you should get dressed too. Time to see what Casey has in store of us before we go back home.” \n“I guess I should. Hey, want to help me like you helped Dani?”\nEvalyn threw a pillow in Shane’s face. “You don’t have strings on your back silly.”\nShane grabbed the pillow from the floor and threw it back at Evalyn “I have one on front!”\nEvalyn caught the pillow in her hands and faked a new throw. “Just get dressed already.”\n\nA few minutes later the two of them were wandering the halls of the mansion. There sure were a lot of bedrooms and stuff. The two of them wondered how many people could stay here and how big of a party could be given here. When they reached the end of the hallway with the bedrooms they took a right and found more hobby areas. Some of them were being cleaned and they could peek inside. They noticed a gym, an area with board games –Dani was playing something with another maid-, some beauty-studios and a sauna. \n“Wow Shane, this place is almost a town of its own. Don’t you agree?”\n“Yeah, I heard the rumors about the Nicolai household, but sheesh.”\nAfter the next set of double doors they came to a familiar hallway. The one with Casey’s gaming area, the library and the music room. They noticed an open door in the library and took a peek.\nInside, Annabelle Inaba was sitting in a big chair and reading a book. Next to her was Casey looking through some sports magazines. Annabelle noticed the two coming in and greeted them. “Good morning Shane, Evalyn, I hope you enjoyed the last night.”\nEvalyn cracked a wide smile. “We sure did.”\nShane blushed a bit. “Yeah, it was nice.”\nAnnabelle got up and ruffled Shane’s hair. “Oh, don’t worry about it. Dani loves hiding his gender as long as possible. As long as it all worked out, no harm done, right?”\nShane nodded his head. “Oh yeah, I agree. It wasn’t because of what happened that I got flustered…it’s just that I didn’t think you’d know already.”\nAnnabelle smiled at the boy. “There’s a reason I am the head maid young man. I know everything here. I am perfect.”\nCasey looked at his maid with one eye and calmly said: “So then why is your hair a bit sloppy today?”\nAnnabelle got flustered and quickly went with her hands through her hair. “Wait, what? But Jason said it was fine and…” as she heard some snickering she looked back and saw Casey, Shane and Evalyn holding their hands in front of their faces. “…ahum…anyway…I…should probably help with the lunch. Excuse me.” And the bunny quickly went out of the library, a bit embarrassed.\nShane looked at her as she left and said: “Is it okay leaving her like that? She didn’t look like she liked that.”\nCasey waved his friend off. “Oh, it’s fine. You can compare our relationship with you and Evalyn a bit, but with the genders reversed. She knows it was all a joke. Just watch. At the table she’ll be her usual self. It’s just that ever since she got the head maid job she wants to do things herself and do them perfectly. I think it’s fine to remind her sometimes that she doesn’t have to be completely perfect and there are plenty of others around to help her. Though it sounds like Jason helped her last night. That’s good. I was a bit worried how she would react to you two spending the night.”\nShane and Evalyn looked at each other and asked simultaneously. “Who’s Jason?”\nCasey responded. “One of the relatively older ones on staff today. He’s a 27 year old tiger and mostly responsible for the washing area. I don’t think you’ll see him around a lot because he’s pretty busy, but perhaps I can introduce you properly some other time.”\nCasey looked at the clock and said to the pair: “Alright, let’s go grab something to eat!”\n\nJust as Casey predicted, Annabelle was back to her usual maid self at the table. She didn’t leave Casey’s side for a moment and there were quite a few moments between the two that showed that their bond was still as strong as ever.\nEvalyn leaned into Shane as she saw those two caring for each other. “You know Shane, I have kind of missed our moments together. I may have gotten too absorbed in the general vibe here and neglected you a bit. I’m sorry.”\nShane threw an arm around his sister: “Don’t worry about it sis. We’ve declared it to our parents, remember? We know that in the end we’ll come back to each other. Nothing wrong with having a bit of fun.”\nEvalyn sat back upright and straightened herself. “Yes, you’re right. Sorry about that. I don’t know what came over me.” \nShane flashed her a big smile. “Now that was a side of you I don’t see a lot. You’re cute like that, you know?” Now Evalyn pouted. “I’m always cute.” “You sure are.”\nAs they heard a cough the two looked up and saw Casey staring at them amused. Annabelle also smiled in their direction, leading to a blush of the siblings. “Hehe, you two really are something together. But you should eat up. Don’t want your dish to go cold.”\nThe rest of the meal everyone was in good spirits once more and they chatted about their last plans before Shane and Evalyn would go home.\n\nCasey and Annabelle led the Boder siblings outside. There was still quite a bit that had to be shown to them. The backyard was pretty large as well with an outstretched grass field, a few soccer goals, some garden furniture and a big tree with a treehouse.\nThere were a few sheep grazing the field in the back with a small fence surrounding them. “Oh yeah, those sheep usually get all the room here, but I wanted us to have a one-on-one match as well Shane” Casey said. Shane knew what he was talking about. One of the first things they talked about online was that they should play a game of soccer for fun some time. This was way before they knew of each other’s other hobbies, but it was still something Shane was looking forward to. He noticed a few bottles with the caps off of them. “So Casey, I take it we go that way?”\n“Yep. We’ll play a game of kick the bottle. You know the deal right?” Shane nodded. “But there’s a twist.” Casey pointed to the girls behind him. “Annabelle will be the one to put my bottle back up again and Evalyn will be the one to pick up your bottle. We won’t be touching our own bottles.”\nEvalyn got a determined look in her eyes. She was not really looking forward to this part of the stay because she was afraid she wouldn’t do anything but cheer. But now she was involved. And with the maid as competitor as well. \nShane looked at his sister and turned back to Casey. “Well, you sure got Evalyn fired up.” Casey looked back at the vixen and laughed. “Ha, we’ll see how it goes.”\nThe four of them rushed to the bottles and the ball that was standing in the middle.\n\n“Alright Shane, let’s recap. We’ll be playing one-on-one and try to knock over each other’s bottles with the ball. If the bottle is knocked over, water will spill out of it. At this point Annabelle or Evalyn can enter the field to rush in and put the bottle back on its spot. We’ll be playing for ten minutes and the one with the least amount of water left in the bottle, loses.”\nShane nodded his head. “Yep, all clear. So, what are we playing for?”\n“Oh, you want to make a bet on it?”\nShane thought a bit more, but saw Evalyn nodding her head to agree with it. “Yeah. But not something for immediately. How about an order for the next time we’re together?”\n“Alright, sounds good. And anything goes for the order, right?”\n“Yeah, anything goes.”\nThe boys took their places near their bottles and the girls took their places a few meters behind them. \n“Shane, you do the countdown.”\n“Alright! Three! Two! One…Go!”\nShane and Casey rushed towards the ball, but Shane quickly assessed that Casey would be there sooner and he took a defensive stance. Casey would have the advantage in terms of speed, but Shane’s technique in close quarters was slightly better. Still, keeping the bigger and faster cheetah away from the bottle was hard. Casey was surprisingly good in keeping the ball away from Shane’s feet and Shane found himself slowly being pushed back to defend his bottle. Casey tried a tricky shot past Shane, but he missed the bottle. Shane quickly picked up the ball again and saw that Casey’s positioning was off. He tried a long distance shot and the ball sailed just a few centimeters past Casey’s bottle. \nShane went back to the middle of the field while Casey went back to take the ball. Casey tried to out-trick Shane once again and succeeded this time. A scissor move over the ball left Shane leaning on his left foot, allowing Casey to pass Shane by his right. With a clear view, Casey could make a clean shot at the bottle and knocked it over, splashing Evalyn in the process who was waiting behind the bottle.\n“Eek!” The cold water startled the vixen a bit before she realized that is was her turn to come in. Water was streaming out of the knocked over bottle, but Evalyn managed to grab the bottle pretty quickly after that. She carefully placed it back on its spot while Shane was waiting with the ball and Casey was near his own bottle once more.\nThis time, Shane was able to go on the offensive. As a striker, defending was not one of the strong points of Casey so Shane thought that his experience on midfield would help him a bit here. And it was true. Casey was really confident with the ball, but without the ball and being forced on defense, he was not too great. Shane managed to off-balance Casey with a simple fake-out and knocked over Casey’s bottle as well. \nAnnabelle, who has been standing quietly and watching the entire time, calmly entered the field and walked towards the bottle. Casey encouraged her to speed it up a bit but compared to Evalyn, Annabelle was significantly slower.\nThis gave Shane an idea. He mentioned towards his sister and asked her to keep the movements of the ball in her sight. She should be able to predict where the bottle would go and cut back on the time the bottle was knocked over. So even if Casey was more accurate with his shots towards the bottle, Shane could still win. Shane took his defensive position once more as Casey grabbed the ball. This time, Casey dropped the pretense of a slow duel and decided to make a rush. This change of tactics startled Shane a bit, but cheered by Evalyn he circled his bottle, trying to be a goalie for it. \nWhen Shane got impatient though, he stepped out and Casey was waiting for that moment to quickly shoot the ball against the bottle.\nThe moment the bottle was flying through the air, Evalyn was already rushing towards it though. The amount of water lost this time was minimal.\nCasey smirked. “Heh, good insight Evalyn. Guess I’ll have to step up my game.”\nEvalyn stuck out her tongue towards Casey. “I can’t have my brother being ordered by anyone but me~. Come on Shane!”\nA smile appeared on Shane’s face as he once again slowly walked with the ball towards Casey. After their initial rushes and more physical confrontations, it became obvious for the both of them that it would be a matter of being a good goalie and the girls’ ability to quickly pick up the bottle.\n\nAfter the 5 minutes were over Casey knocked Shane’s bottle over more often, but as expected, Evalyn may have saved Shane anyway with her quick actions. Annabelle was getting a measuring cup and the three cubs were laying in the grass, having the sun shine on them.\n“Good thing the weather is so nice. I needed to dry off.” Evalyn said. “But if we win, it would’ve totally been worth it.”\n“You were almost more into it than us Evalyn.” Casey mentioned. “Even caught a bottle mid-air. I was impressed.”\n“Heheheh, thanks. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m drying off.” Evalyn spread her arms and legs and closed her eyes.\nShane got an idea with his sister like this and he nudged Casey. He whispered something in her ear and Casey laughed softly. However, they just sat calmly together and chatted a bit until Annabelle came back. Evalyn seemed to have dozed off in the meantime.\nAnnabelle had a measuring cup and one by one measured the water left in the bottles of the boys. Shane did have a bit more water in his bottle and won the game. He made a fistpump but stayed quiet. Casey looked a bit down hearing the result, but his mood would soon be a bit better as he got the refilled bottles from Shane. Annabelle brought the measuring cup back inside as the boys slowly made their way towards the dozed off Evalyn. \nCasey eyed Shane and gave him one of the bottles back. They stood on opposite sides of Evalyn and counted down with their free hand. At 0 they turned the bottle over and a splash of water came over Evalyn’s face and body.\nThe vixen shrieked as the boys rushed off towards the back of the garden. “YOU TWO! I’LL GET YOU FOR THIS!” The boys gave each other a high five. “Heh, good thing she’ll be gone from here after this, right Shane? You though…you’re living with her right?”\nShane’s face turned. That was not really something he thought out. “Seriously Shane, you did not think about this? Hahaha, man. That’s great. Keep me posted on how she got you back for this, okay?”\nThey looked at the screaming noise that came closer and a soaked Evalyn ran as quickly as she could towards the two. However, the water slowed her down and the boys had no problem dodging her.\nThis went on for another 5 minutes before they all rolled together in the grass once more.\nEvalyn looked a bit annoyed, but with a smile on her face nonetheless. “Sheesh guys. Was that really necessary?”\nShane looked at his sis. “You were the one who said I needed to be more assertive. I think I did good right? I should be rewarded. Not punished.”\n“We’ll see Shane. I’ll think of something…”\n\nThey lay together in the grass for a long period until Annabelle came to the three\n“Young master, it is time. We should be departing soon.”\nCasey nudged Shane and Evalyn and the three of them knew what time it was. “Looks like time’s up guys. It has been fun with you two but you’ll have to get home.”\nShane asked the cheetah: “Are you not coming with us?”\n“Nope, sorry. I got a message this morning from my parents and they’ll be coming home soon. I’ll have to prepare some stuff for when they arrive. I have been procrastinating a bit on my duties here because of you two. I’ve had too much fun too. But when we get together again, we’ll continue.” Adding begrudgingly “You still have an order to give me, right Shane?”\n“Indeed Casey. But I think it will be influenced a bit by my sister to calm her down a bit. I think she still hasn’t completely forgiven me for that shower.”\nA squinting Evalyn added: “You know it. Chapter 7

When Evalyn woke up, she looked right into Casey’s eyes. The cheetah was staring at her with a smile on his face. “Morning Evalyn.”
“Hmm…morning Casey.” She gave him a quick peck. “I take it you’ll have to do your mansion owner stuff?”
Casey flopped on his back. “Oh, right…guess I should. And you were going to see how your brother was doing right?” He got out of bed and grabbed some clothes. “I’ll be in the bathroom. You go and see what he is up to. And thanks for last night.”
Evalyn returned the thanks and got her underwear, which was still spread throughout the room. In the excitement of last night she forgot to grab her clean clothes from the room she shared with her brother, so she had to go out like this. Not that she minded. If it wasn’t for the possible guest with Shane and no idea how he would react, she would go back naked.
When Evalyn went to her room, she wondered what she would find. She hoped to see Shane with Daniel, because seeing Shane with another boy was a fantasy of hers as well. She silently opened the door and peeked inside.
There were no sounds coming from the room other than some relaxed breathing, so she figured Shane was still asleep. She slowly stepped in the room and closed the door.
She could see the maid uniform on the ground, folded neatly, the underwear sort of properly placed, but a very disheveled bed. She could see Shane sleeping in the other bed with his back turned to her. Evalyn knew Daniel had to be around somewhere as well and she circled the bed with her brother to find the mouse being the little spoon. He totally disappeared in Shane’s body and the sight was quite adorable. Even more so when Evalyn reminded herself that the mouse was 16 years old.
She decided to let them lay there for a while and went to the bathroom herself. She grabbed some clothes and towels and took a nice shower.
Shane awoke to the sound of the running water. He wondered who it could be when the events from last night came back to him. He could smell Daniel’s hair and the mouse was laying quietly against him. Shane stretched himself, which lead to Daniel waking up as well. The mouse turned towards Shane. “Good morning Shane. Slept well?” “Morning Dani. Yes I did. How about you?”
“Hmm hmm. I’m a bit slow getting up though. Do you mind if I keep laying here for a while.”
“Oh, I totally get that. I’m the same. And we can’t use the bathroom right now anyway. I think Evalyn’s in there.”
Only now did Daniel realize that the shower was running. He could hear a bit of humming as well and Evalyn’s appointed closet was open. “I guess she is. O well. I should probably get back to my duties soon as well…but first 15 more minutes of rest.” And he snuggled Shane some more.
Shane could not tell if this was genuine or an act. After all, it is not what one would expect of a 16-year old boy, but he found it charming nonetheless. He stared at the ceiling, thinking what to tell his sister.
As Evalyn came back out of the bathroom 15 minutes later, the boys were just getting up. Daniel was sitting on the edge of the bed, rubbing his eyes and Shane had already put on some shorts. “Morning boys. How was your night?”
Daniel turned quickly to Evalyn when she heard her call him a boy. “You know?”
“Well, it was pretty obvious when I saw you two spooning just now. But yeah, Casey told me.” She sat on the disheveled bed. “So, I want to hear all about it.”
Shane sat up straight and faced his sister, a blush forming on his cheeks. “What? Telling about it just like that?” Daniel signed. “I told you, didn’t I Shane? Girls like it when two boys have fun. Just tell her. No use in keeping it hidden. I’ll...just…zzz”
Shane poked Daniel again, but got swatted away by the mouse. “While you tell her, I can catch up some more sleep…no-one will miss me downstairs until noonish when lunch is being served.”
And just like that, Daniel was again snuggling inside the blankets.
Shane brought his hand to his face. “Aww…but telling it is so embarrassing. Sheesh, fine.”
Shane told Evalyn all about the events that transpired after she left. How he wanted to talk first –that’s so like you Shane-, how Daniel questioned the idea if Shane would like to be paired with another boy and his response –noting this for future use, said a smirking Evalyn-, and how Daniel came out himself towards Shane after the answer.
Evalyn listened intently, but really leaned forward when it seemed like things were getting to the good part.
“- so we pretty much did it where you were sitting right now. At first he just licked my feet and I got a really good feeling out of it.”
“Wait. Your feet?” Evalyn asked, “that’s new. Perhaps I should try it too once.”
“Perhaps…but anyway, he was very submissive and let me do whatever I want to him when it came to the real deal. I admit, I liked being able to be on top for once.”
Evalyn gestured at Shane. “Well, you should fight me for it once in a while instead of just listening to me.” She flashed him a wide grin. “I’d like to see that side of you too someday.”
As she looked behind Shane she asked her brother. “Hey, can you poke him for me? I want to ask him something.”
Shane got Daniel awake once more and as the mouse looked over at the siblings it was clear Evalyn had something to tell him. “So miss, what is it you wanted to know?”
Evalyn eyed both of the guys again and said. “Well Dani, would you like to join the two of us someday? Perhaps have some fun with me too? I always like playing with submissive boys.”
Daniel was very firm in his answer: “I’m flattered you think of me, but I must respectfully decline that offer. I’m only that intimate with other boys. Besides, I know someone else who would love to take you up on the offer. And if I’m not mistaken you’ve been intimate with him already and from what I heard of your brother, so has he.”
“Oh, yes, Casey was great as well, but he’s also taller than the both of us. You were so cute I could not resist to ask you. I’ll respect your decision though.”
Shane intervened: “Why don’t you respect my decisions!”
“Well, because you let me fight your decisions. You could learn a thing of two from the way Daniel just responded.”
Daniel saw the siblings quarreling and a smile came on his face. “Shane really is lucky” was what he thought before he took a look at the clock.
“Well Shane, Evalyn, it was fun but I’ll have to resume my duties. He got out and walked casually towards his clothes, still butt naked. “When you’re in the mansion next time, be sure to think of me, alright Shane? I’m willing to do this again some time. And can one of you help me tie the strings behind my back?”
Shane and Evalyn helped the mouse get on the uniform together and saw him walk off towards the staff area. As he was out of the hallway door Evalyn looked at his brother and said “Well Shane, you should get dressed too. Time to see what Casey has in store of us before we go back home.”
“I guess I should. Hey, want to help me like you helped Dani?”
Evalyn threw a pillow in Shane’s face. “You don’t have strings on your back silly.”
Shane grabbed the pillow from the floor and threw it back at Evalyn “I have one on front!”
Evalyn caught the pillow in her hands and faked a new throw. “Just get dressed already.”
A few minutes later the two of them were wandering the halls of the mansion. There sure were a lot of bedrooms and stuff. The two of them wondered how many people could stay here and how big of a party could be given here. When they reached the end of the hallway with the bedrooms they took a right and found more hobby areas. Some of them were being cleaned and they could peek inside. They noticed a gym, an area with board games –Dani was playing something with another maid-, some beauty-studios and a sauna.
“Wow Shane, this place is almost a town of its own. Don’t you agree?”
“Yeah, I heard the rumors about the Nicolai household, but sheesh.”
After the next set of double doors they came to a familiar hallway. The one with Casey’s gaming area, the library and the music room. They noticed an open door in the library and took a peek.
Inside, Annabelle Inaba was sitting in a big chair and reading a book. Next to her was Casey looking through some sports magazines. Annabelle noticed the two coming in and greeted them. “Good morning Shane, Evalyn, I hope you enjoyed the last night.”
Evalyn cracked a wide smile. “We sure did.”
Shane blushed a bit. “Yeah, it was nice.”
Annabelle got up and ruffled Shane’s hair. “Oh, don’t worry about it. Dani loves hiding his gender as long as possible. As long as it all worked out, no harm done, right?”
Shane nodded his head. “Oh yeah, I agree. It wasn’t because of what happened that I got flustered…it’s just that I didn’t think you’d know already.”
Annabelle smiled at the boy. “There’s a reason I am the head maid young man. I know everything here. I am perfect.”
Casey looked at his maid with one eye and calmly said: “So then why is your hair a bit sloppy today?”
Annabelle got flustered and quickly went with her hands through her hair. “Wait, what? But Jason said it was fine and…” as she heard some snickering she looked back and saw Casey, Shane and Evalyn holding their hands in front of their faces. “…ahum…anyway…I…should probably help with the lunch. Excuse me.” And the bunny quickly went out of the library, a bit embarrassed.
Shane looked at her as she left and said: “Is it okay leaving her like that? She didn’t look like she liked that.”
Casey waved his friend off. “Oh, it’s fine. You can compare our relationship with you and Evalyn a bit, but with the genders reversed. She knows it was all a joke. Just watch. At the table she’ll be her usual self. It’s just that ever since she got the head maid job she wants to do things herself and do them perfectly. I think it’s fine to remind her sometimes that she doesn’t have to be completely perfect and there are plenty of others around to help her. Though it sounds like Jason helped her last night. That’s good. I was a bit worried how she would react to you two spending the night.”
Shane and Evalyn looked at each other and asked simultaneously. “Who’s Jason?”
Casey responded. “One of the relatively older ones on staff today. He’s a 27 year old tiger and mostly responsible for the washing area. I don’t think you’ll see him around a lot because he’s pretty busy, but perhaps I can introduce you properly some other time.”
Casey looked at the clock and said to the pair: “Alright, let’s go grab something to eat!”
Just as Casey predicted, Annabelle was back to her usual maid self at the table. She didn’t leave Casey’s side for a moment and there were quite a few moments between the two that showed that their bond was still as strong as ever.
Evalyn leaned into Shane as she saw those two caring for each other. “You know Shane, I have kind of missed our moments together. I may have gotten too absorbed in the general vibe here and neglected you a bit. I’m sorry.”
Shane threw an arm around his sister: “Don’t worry about it sis. We’ve declared it to our parents, remember? We know that in the end we’ll come back to each other. Nothing wrong with having a bit of fun.”
Evalyn sat back upright and straightened herself. “Yes, you’re right. Sorry about that. I don’t know what came over me.”
Shane flashed her a big smile. “Now that was a side of you I don’t see a lot. You’re cute like that, you know?” Now Evalyn pouted. “I’m always cute.” “You sure are.”
As they heard a cough the two looked up and saw Casey staring at them amused. Annabelle also smiled in their direction, leading to a blush of the siblings. “Hehe, you two really are something together. But you should eat up. Don’t want your dish to go cold.”
The rest of the meal everyone was in good spirits once more and they chatted about their last plans before Shane and Evalyn would go home.
Casey and Annabelle led the Boder siblings outside. There was still quite a bit that had to be shown to them. The backyard was pretty large as well with an outstretched grass field, a few soccer goals, some garden furniture and a big tree with a treehouse.
There were a few sheep grazing the field in the back with a small fence surrounding them. “Oh yeah, those sheep usually get all the room here, but I wanted us to have a one-on-one match as well Shane” Casey said. Shane knew what he was talking about. One of the first things they talked about online was that they should play a game of soccer for fun some time. This was way before they knew of each other’s other hobbies, but it was still something Shane was looking forward to. He noticed a few bottles with the caps off of them. “So Casey, I take it we go that way?”
“Yep. We’ll play a game of kick the bottle. You know the deal right?” Shane nodded. “But there’s a twist.” Casey pointed to the girls behind him. “Annabelle will be the one to put my bottle back up again and Evalyn will be the one to pick up your bottle. We won’t be touching our own bottles.”
Evalyn got a determined look in her eyes. She was not really looking forward to this part of the stay because she was afraid she wouldn’t do anything but cheer. But now she was involved. And with the maid as competitor as well.
Shane looked at his sister and turned back to Casey. “Well, you sure got Evalyn fired up.” Casey looked back at the vixen and laughed. “Ha, we’ll see how it goes.”
The four of them rushed to the bottles and the ball that was standing in the middle.
“Alright Shane, let’s recap. We’ll be playing one-on-one and try to knock over each other’s bottles with the ball. If the bottle is knocked over, water will spill out of it. At this point Annabelle or Evalyn can enter the field to rush in and put the bottle back on its spot. We’ll be playing for ten minutes and the one with the least amount of water left in the bottle, loses.”
Shane nodded his head. “Yep, all clear. So, what are we playing for?”
“Oh, you want to make a bet on it?”
Shane thought a bit more, but saw Evalyn nodding her head to agree with it. “Yeah. But not something for immediately. How about an order for the next time we’re together?”
“Alright, sounds good. And anything goes for the order, right?”
“Yeah, anything goes.”
The boys took their places near their bottles and the girls took their places a few meters behind them.
“Shane, you do the countdown.”
“Alright! Three! Two! One…Go!”
Shane and Casey rushed towards the ball, but Shane quickly assessed that Casey would be there sooner and he took a defensive stance. Casey would have the advantage in terms of speed, but Shane’s technique in close quarters was slightly better. Still, keeping the bigger and faster cheetah away from the bottle was hard. Casey was surprisingly good in keeping the ball away from Shane’s feet and Shane found himself slowly being pushed back to defend his bottle. Casey tried a tricky shot past Shane, but he missed the bottle. Shane quickly picked up the ball again and saw that Casey’s positioning was off. He tried a long distance shot and the ball sailed just a few centimeters past Casey’s bottle.
Shane went back to the middle of the field while Casey went back to take the ball. Casey tried to out-trick Shane once again and succeeded this time. A scissor move over the ball left Shane leaning on his left foot, allowing Casey to pass Shane by his right. With a clear view, Casey could make a clean shot at the bottle and knocked it over, splashing Evalyn in the process who was waiting behind the bottle.
“Eek!” The cold water startled the vixen a bit before she realized that is was her turn to come in. Water was streaming out of the knocked over bottle, but Evalyn managed to grab the bottle pretty quickly after that. She carefully placed it back on its spot while Shane was waiting with the ball and Casey was near his own bottle once more.
This time, Shane was able to go on the offensive. As a striker, defending was not one of the strong points of Casey so Shane thought that his experience on midfield would help him a bit here. And it was true. Casey was really confident with the ball, but without the ball and being forced on defense, he was not too great. Shane managed to off-balance Casey with a simple fake-out and knocked over Casey’s bottle as well.
Annabelle, who has been standing quietly and watching the entire time, calmly entered the field and walked towards the bottle. Casey encouraged her to speed it up a bit but compared to Evalyn, Annabelle was significantly slower.
This gave Shane an idea. He mentioned towards his sister and asked her to keep the movements of the ball in her sight. She should be able to predict where the bottle would go and cut back on the time the bottle was knocked over. So even if Casey was more accurate with his shots towards the bottle, Shane could still win. Shane took his defensive position once more as Casey grabbed the ball. This time, Casey dropped the pretense of a slow duel and decided to make a rush. This change of tactics startled Shane a bit, but cheered by Evalyn he circled his bottle, trying to be a goalie for it.
When Shane got impatient though, he stepped out and Casey was waiting for that moment to quickly shoot the ball against the bottle.
The moment the bottle was flying through the air, Evalyn was already rushing towards it though. The amount of water lost this time was minimal.
Casey smirked. “Heh, good insight Evalyn. Guess I’ll have to step up my game.”
Evalyn stuck out her tongue towards Casey. “I can’t have my brother being ordered by anyone but me~. Come on Shane!”
A smile appeared on Shane’s face as he once again slowly walked with the ball towards Casey. After their initial rushes and more physical confrontations, it became obvious for the both of them that it would be a matter of being a good goalie and the girls’ ability to quickly pick up the bottle.
After the 5 minutes were over Casey knocked Shane’s bottle over more often, but as expected, Evalyn may have saved Shane anyway with her quick actions. Annabelle was getting a measuring cup and the three cubs were laying in the grass, having the sun shine on them.
“Good thing the weather is so nice. I needed to dry off.” Evalyn said. “But if we win, it would’ve totally been worth it.”
“You were almost more into it than us Evalyn.” Casey mentioned. “Even caught a bottle mid-air. I was impressed.”
“Heheheh, thanks. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m drying off.” Evalyn spread her arms and legs and closed her eyes.
Shane got an idea with his sister like this and he nudged Casey. He whispered something in her ear and Casey laughed softly. However, they just sat calmly together and chatted a bit until Annabelle came back. Evalyn seemed to have dozed off in the meantime.
Annabelle had a measuring cup and one by one measured the water left in the bottles of the boys. Shane did have a bit more water in his bottle and won the game. He made a fistpump but stayed quiet. Casey looked a bit down hearing the result, but his mood would soon be a bit better as he got the refilled bottles from Shane. Annabelle brought the measuring cup back inside as the boys slowly made their way towards the dozed off Evalyn.
Casey eyed Shane and gave him one of the bottles back. They stood on opposite sides of Evalyn and counted down with their free hand. At 0 they turned the bottle over and a splash of water came over Evalyn’s face and body.
The vixen shrieked as the boys rushed off towards the back of the garden. “YOU TWO! I’LL GET YOU FOR THIS!” The boys gave each other a high five. “Heh, good thing she’ll be gone from here after this, right Shane? You though…you’re living with her right?”
Shane’s face turned. That was not really something he thought out. “Seriously Shane, you did not think about this? Hahaha, man. That’s great. Keep me posted on how she got you back for this, okay?”
They looked at the screaming noise that came closer and a soaked Evalyn ran as quickly as she could towards the two. However, the water slowed her down and the boys had no problem dodging her.
This went on for another 5 minutes before they all rolled together in the grass once more.
Evalyn looked a bit annoyed, but with a smile on her face nonetheless. “Sheesh guys. Was that really necessary?”
Shane looked at his sis. “You were the one who said I needed to be more assertive. I think I did good right? I should be rewarded. Not punished.”
“We’ll see Shane. I’ll think of something…”
They lay together in the grass for a long period until Annabelle came to the three
“Young master, it is time. We should be departing soon.”
Casey nudged Shane and Evalyn and the three of them knew what time it was. “Looks like time’s up guys. It has been fun with you two but you’ll have to get home.”
Shane asked the cheetah: “Are you not coming with us?”
“Nope, sorry. I got a message this morning from my parents and they’ll be coming home soon. I’ll have to prepare some stuff for when they arrive. I have been procrastinating a bit on my duties here because of you two. I’ve had too much fun too. But when we get together again, we’ll continue.” Adding begrudgingly “You still have an order to give me, right Shane?”
“Indeed Casey. But I think it will be influenced a bit by my sister to calm her down a bit. I think she still hasn’t completely forgiven me for that shower.”
A squinting Evalyn added: “You know it. And we’ll see if that is enough…”
