Days become weeks, weeks become months, and it becomes evident that mother Caroline Squirrellis is pregnant. Her first time in almost a decade, since Caedyn was born.
While a third child was not originally planned until her husband Conroy had earned his big promotion, it was ultimately planned in the end.
Now approaching her mid thirties and pregnant her third time, this would highly likely be Caroline's final child. The age gap between the newborn and the boys would not be small.
Still, great excitement was in the air at the Squirrellis household, though probably more for Mama, Papa & Caedyn. Carsyn was not as intrigued, himself realizing he'd have to be an older brother of beyond a decade.
Carsyn & Caedyn could both easily tell that mama was wearing large and loose fit clothing as she gained an ever-growing baby bump.
And the boys wouldn't ever dare mention it, but her mammary glands had increased in size too. They wondered greatly whether they'd have a little brother or little sister?
Around the house, the feeling in the air was so.... strange, exciting, and electric.
It made Caedyn & Carsyn feel odd, nervous, joyous.... a mix of many emotions all at once. Perhaps not so much the joyous part for Carsyn.
After all, mama was set to bring another little sibling into the family. Neither boy could describe the feeling.
And every week, they could see her belly growing, bit by bit. Mama and Papa both seemed excited, all the while talking about plans every day. The upcoming child was the talk of the house every day and night.
Tonight and in the dim, maroon-colored master bedroom, Caroline gets undressed for some gentle late night cuddling with her husband, and turns to him in the nude....
Sitting in the bed and reading a book, Conroy's face and emotions lit up.
Even pregnant, Caroline's beautiful and curvy body always turns him on.
Her belly, breasts and nipples were visibly enlarged as she was entering the second trimester.
"I've been thinking of girls names again...." she softly speaks.
"Me too, Care.... Me too." ('Care' is Conroy's short nickname for his wife).
She pauses and suggests a few names.... "Caitlyn, or maybe Cassandra" in keeping with the family tradition of "C" in their first names.
"No matter your gender, your birthdate, or your name, you will always be loved, my child...." she whispers to herself with hands on her warm belly.
She lifts the blanket and lies down softly in the soft king-sized bed with her husband. They both begin gently rubbing her warm baby bump. Did the baby just kick there for a moment?
Times hadn't been this exciting in years.
