[i]'He's lucky that blasted Panther was there, otherwise he'd be nothing but a bulge in my stomach!'[/i]\n\nAs the Snake slithered across the branches, a gurgling sound quickly reminded him that he had yet to quell his hunger. [i]'...speaking of which…'[/i] Looking around, Kaa quickly started scouting the area, hoping to find an unsuspecting animal to make a quick meal out of...\n\n[center]---[/center]\n\nLuck seemed to be on his side as, after a few minutes of searching, he noticed a small Mouse helping itself to some berries on a branch just below him, completely oblivious to the presence of the predator just above him.\n\nA light snack, but it would do for now.\n\nIn no mood to draw things out with his hypnosis this time, Kaa lunged at the unsuspecting mouse with his jaw open wide and swallowed him whole in one gulp. The poor creature didn't even have time to scream as he was consumed in the blink of an eye.\n\n\"A bit on the skinny side of scrawny… but you'll do for now…\" Kaa chuckled to himself as he watched the bulge that was his meal travel down to his stomach, vainly struggling all the way. \"If only it were the Man-Cub…\" He sighed in disappointment as he slithered down toward the floor, his thoughts drifting back to when that Panther had dared to strike him before he could consume his meal. \"...what changed? I usssed to be one of the mossst feared predatorsss in the jungle. Granted, not asss feared asss Ssshere Khan, but my presssenccce was enough to give othersss a fright… have I lossst my ssspunk?\"\n\n[i]*snap*[/i]\n\nThe Serpent was brought out of his thoughts as he looked around for a moment, he could've sworn he'd heard something…\n\n[i]*THWAK*[/i]\n\nKaa ducked out of the way in fear as a spear impaled itself on the branch he'd just occupied! Quickly slithering into the bushes, his yellow eyes peered through the underbrush and spotted two torches in the distance, both of which were heading towards his location\n\n...humans!\n\nHere? This deep in the jungle!?\n\nGlancing back up at the spear embedded in the branch, he gulped nervously and quickly attempted to slither out of sight... only for another spear to slam into the ground right in front of him. [i]'Not good! Not good!'[/i] He thought, mentally freaking out as he quickly slithered in the opposite direction, had it been one of them he might have taken a chance to hypnotize him and make him his meal, but two? Far too risky.\n\n[i]'This jungle was much less troublesome before those wretched humans got here!'[/i] He thought to himself as he rushed through the jungle, he could hear them shouting amongst each other, while too far to hear, he knew for a fact that they were dead set on hunting him. [i]'Then again, I shouldn't be surprised. Humans never followed the laws of the jungle…' [/i]\n\nAs he quickly slithered away, he could hear the sounds of branches and bushes being pushed out of the way as the two humans gave chase. Eventually, the serpent found himself cornered at a cliff overlooking a rather large river, he quickly slithered up into the trees, hoping to use the branches to reach the opposite end of the river and lose his pursuers, but just as he got to the farthest-reaching branch…\n\n*SNAP*\n\n...it snapped under his weight, sending him falling into the river and leaving his pursuers behind...\n\n[center]---[/center]\n\nAfter a good few minutes of holding his breath, Kaa's head popped out of the water gasping for air as the current carried him further downstream, eventually bringing him to a rather large lake.\n\nHis first instinct was to find dry land, however, given his most recent experience, he was more than a little nervous to risk running into more humans...\n\n...that is, until he noticed an island of some sort in the center of the lake... only it was structured quite differently. Upon swimming closer, he realized why the structure looked so familiar, this wasn't an island, but a temple, not unlike the one King Louis had taken residence in...\n\n[i]'A sunken temple? How long has this been here?'[/i] Kaa thought to himself as he swam to the submerged rooftop, slithering into an entrance on the upper level. The Serpent gazed down the long, stone stairway leading upwards and decided to follow the path, as he continued up the winding staircase he noticed several carvings that depicted several humans bowing down to a large Snake. \"Whoever built thisss place cccertainly had good tassste…\" Kaa chuckled to himself.\n\nEventually, he reached the top of the stairs, noticing that a faint, lime-green light filled the area as he entered a large circular room with a large statue of cobra in a lunging position in the center… said statue had some sort of jewel in its mouth, illuminating the room.\n\nA part of him was curious, wondering just what this jewel was… and yet, he was so tired…\n\nAs a yawn escaped his mouth, the Serpent slithered up to the statue and coiled his own body into a comfy bed of coils. As he slowly fell asleep, his mind started drifting back to the disrespect and humiliation he'd endured this night.\n\nThe pompous Panther disrespecting his status as a predator and denying him his meal.\n\nThat annoying Man-cub pushing him out of his own tree.\n\nAnd worst of all, those wretched humans who had the nerve to hunt him.\n\n[i]'I guess I truly have lost my spunk if I've been reduced to hiding like this…'[/i] He thought to himself. [i]'...well no more… it's time this jungle was reminded that Shere Kahn isn't the only predator to be feared in this jungle!'[/i] Kaa mentally vowed as he slipped into a silent slumber.\n\nJust as he did, however, several cracks began to spread across the surface of the jewel, then in an instant, the jewel dissolved in the air as a faint rain of sparkles rained down upon the sleeping Serpent...\n\n[center]---[/center]\n\nAs the Sun rose over the horizon, Kaa let out a sleepy yawn as he pulled himself out of his bed of coils, as he inspected his surroundings oh, he soon realized that there was something different about the room he was in. Looking back at the statue he noticed that the jewel was no longer in its mouth, much to his confusion. \"Ssstrange… did someone sssteal it while I was resssting?\" He mused to himself, however after a couple of seconds of thinking he decided that it wasn't really his problem, at least whoever took it to didn't bother him while he was asleep...\n\nAs the Serpent slithered out of the temple, he was greeted by the warmth of the Sun. \"Hmm… I mussst have ssslept all night… oh well…\" He mused to himself as he quickly slithered across a fallen log connecting the temple to the land and into the depths of the jungle, his growling stomach already reminding him that he hadn't had a fulfilling meal since that Mouse.\n\nSlithering into one of the trees, he considered making his way towards the Bandar-Log and snatching up one of the many Monkeys in the area… until he spotted a small Mongoose scurrying about a small clearing.\n\n\"Why hello there…\" Kaa smiled and lowered himself from the branches, licking his lips as he approached the startled animal.\n\n\"Please! D-D-Don't eat me!\" The Mongoose stammered as she backed away nervously. \"I don't taste very good, really! I'd just give you a stomach ache!\"\n\n\"Oh, don't sssay that.\" Kaa smirked as he circled around the timid mammal, trapping her before she could have a chance to flee. \"You don't give yourself enough credit, I'm sure you're deliciousss…\" He chuckled, preparing to hypnotize his prey...\n\n\"I… I look… delicious…?\" The mongoose repeated, tilting her head as she started approaching the predator. \"Yes… I… I am delicious…\"\n\nKaa blinked at this, did this creature just…?\n\nCuriously, he slithered closer to the mammal, noticing that she didn't seem to register the danger she was in any longer. \"How odd… you… [i]want[/i] to be my meal?\"\n\n\"Yes… I want to be… your meal…\" She repeated in an entranced tone.\n\nThe serpent was puzzled by this abrupt change in attitude from his prey… until he noticed something off about her eyes...\n\nUnlike when he used his natural hypnosis, her eyes were still normal. However, her pupils seemed to be pulsating in a rhythmic motion, they'd shrink down, then expand outwards, then shrink down again, then expand again...\n\nShe was definitely under his spell, there was no denying that... but what puzzled him as he had no idea what had triggered it… unless…\n\n\"You want to give in…\" Kaa stated.\n\n\"I… want to… give… in…\" She repeated.\n\nThe Serpent smirked as he continued. \"You want to become a part of me, forever…\" He chuckled as he lowered his tail towards his entranced prey, shaping it to form a sort of stairway, the tip of his tail making a \"come-hither\" gesture to her, which she willingly obeyed.\n\n\"...become... part of… you… f-forever…\" The entranced Mongoose repeated, walking up his body. As she reached the top, she found the Serpent hungrily gazing at her.\n\n\"Good… now then… enter my mouth… enter your dessstiny…\" He commanded as he opened his mouth, allowing the mongoose to slide herself right into his gaping maw. His prey offered no resistance whatsoever and obediently entered his mouth. Kaa slowly lifted his head into the air, relishing the taste as the poor mongoose slid down his throat, the Snake took one last swallow, and his prey was now nothing more than lump traveling down into his awaiting stomach.\n\n\"MmmHmm~ deliciousss…\" He chuckled, thanking whatever fortune had decided to smile upon him this day. His memories drifted back to that strange jewel he had come across in the temple and it all became clear, the jewel had somehow granted his voice the ability to radiate a strange new power, one that could bend the minds of his prey to his will.\n\n[i]'This is what I've been missing.'[/i] He thought to himself as he glanced at the bulge in his coils. [i]'My eyes and coils may have been my greatest strength, but now my voice can truly have a commanding presence in this jungle!'[/i]\n\nHe was quickly snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing a familiar voice not too far away. Kaa smirked as he slithered back into the trees, he may have already eaten, but there was far more \"fun\" to be had with this new power...\n\n[center]---[/center]\n\nThe Serpent licked his lips as he slithered through the branches, his yellow eyes watching as Bagheera stormed through the jungle, grumbling to himself in frustration. From what the Snake could gather apparently the Man-Cub had frustrated him to his breaking point.\n\nKaa hissed in delight, this was the moment to strike!\n\nAs tempted as he wished to use his hypnotic eyes straight away, he knew he'd have to properly get the hang of his new hypnotic voice. Bagheera tried to growl in protest, only for it to come out as a relaxed purr. Amused by his weak attempt at defiance, Kaa snickered sinisterly as he slithered a little closer to the Panther. \"You know you want thisss…\" He cooed, brushing his lips against Bagheera's muzzle.\n\n\"P-please Kaa-MMMPH!\"\n\nBagheera's vain protests were cut off by Kaa's lips locking with his own, his eyes shot open in surprise… and were completely captivated as the mesmerizing colors emerged from Kaa Snake's eyes.
