Writer’s note: Since this chapter had become a lot longer than previously expected, as it has been greatly extended to include the more graphic detail of situations. I’m turning this chapter into a two-part chapter for those who like it to be a bit shorter. Comments Are Always helpful and wanted.

Chapter Five
Part Two
Accommodating the new relationship
Waking up, Evin found himself stuffed in a sleeping bag with Dawn sleeping on one side of him and Rika on the other. He was a bit confused as to what had happened to cause this, but for the moment at least he didn’t feel bad being snuggled in between them. It took him another moment to realize he had passed-out, which caused him to remember being sliced up by the skarmory. Silently and carefully removing himself from between the girls he left the tent to greet the new day. He felt a bit sickly and weak but otherwise enjoyed the breath of fresh morning air before examining himself.
His shirt had become little more than an accumulation of blood soaked rags while his pants had rips, stains and a torn belt as the stink of dried blood wafted off him in pungent waves while his hair felt like a greasy mess. He wanted a bath, bad. A new change of cloths was also in mind, but then Dawn emerged from the tent and stretched. He had a hard time looking at her and not seeing what he had seen from the shadows. Though covered by a shirt, to him the subtle rise and fall of her breasts as she took a deep breath seemed to be a magnificent sight.
It was hard to see her as he always had now that he had seen it all, but at this same time he now started to feel dizzy and quickly sat down. Dawn rushed over to him as she asked, “Are you okay?” Evin shook his head for a moment trying to get things strait and said, “I think I’m a little weak after yesterday.” Dawn huffed in a gesture of obviousness as she replied “You fainted and were ice cold to the touch throughout the night, which is why Rika and I slept so close to you to keep you warm. It’s no wonder why you don’t feel right today.”
They both sighed and had a moment of awkward silence as each tried to think of something to talk about. Dawn eventually was the first to say something as she asked, “So, how did you find me?” Evin thought back to his conversation with the professor as he said, “The professor was worried about you after the alarm went up that Team Rocket had attacked a trainer near the road. She says that the borders have been shutdown in the wake of the increasing activity here in this region and either wants you to travel with me again or return back to your home region. The things that those men were getting ready to do to you were the reason that she was worried. After that it was just a matter of keeping a vigilant eye out for anything out of place along the road since the professor informed me that you never checked in at Nacrene.”
Evin looked down at the ground feeling a little warmth return to his face as he then said, “I was worried about you.” Dawn looked at him with a thankful expression and asked, “How much of what happened did you see?” Evin looked away feeling too embarrassed to say before Dawn came over to sit closer to him and said, “Really, it’s okay. I wont be mad or run away from you again. It was a bad situation that no one should have rushed into, I’m just curious.” Evin swallowed his nerves as he looked up at her and explained everything he had seen and had planned out with the others. As he talked, Dawn couldn’t help but know that her face was turning red out of embarrassment, but didn’t blame Evin for any of it, as she waited for him to finish.
Once he was done she took a minute to digest the facts and then just leaned her head on his shoulder. “It was a terrifying experience, one that I could have gone my entire life without, but I feel that it ended for the better, since it brought you back to me. I regretted the way I left your company and have been agonizing over it ever since I left. It wasn’t your fault; I just wasn’t mentally prepared for it and couldn’t deal with my own embarrassment of how it had turned out. I’ve been wanting to tell you that and have also come to realize that I want to tell you this-…”
With no other warning, Dawn sat up and wrapped her arms around his neck as she turned his head to kiss him on the lips. He was surprised and slightly hesitant at first, but then wrapped her in his arms and returned the favor. Dawn was only slightly surprised when he did this and felt the stress from the last few days finally falling away. It wasn’t the first time she had kissed a boy, but it was the most enjoyable kiss she had ever had, as they stayed embraced for nearly an entire minute. A noise caught their attention as Rika exited the tent. She looked at the two and gave a little huff before turning to go elsewhere.
She made it look like she didn’t care, but Evin could feel the jealousy radiating off her in repugnant waves of bursting feelings. The moment for Evin was quiet well finished, but Dawn was left at a loss over what the problem was, as she couldn’t comprehend why Evin suddenly had a look of regret. Pulling away, Dawn asked, “Is there something wrong?” Evin started to shake his head, but then decided to say, “Rika is a bit jealous of you at the moment. During the time that we were away from you, she and I had been training one on one and has become a bit territorial of me.” Dawn put a hand over her lips and couldn’t restrain from having a bit of a laughing fit before she merrily said, “Oh my, that could be a problem.”
Evin gave a small sarcastic laugh as he thought, (This isn’t going to end well.) and tried to get up. Dawn worried for a moment when he got to his feet as he tottered back and forth, but without her help Evin left to go find Rika while she remained where she was to let them talk. In the forest, Evin spotted Rika just after she had punched a dent into a tree and caught her by the shoulders as he came to a stop behind her. She didn’t move to make him let go, but said, ~You didn’t put up much of a struggle towards her. I was under the belief that the only reason that you struggled was because you were shy, but now I see that it was just because I am a pokemon.~
Clearly seeing where she was going with this Evin quickly intervened by saying, “Whoa, hold on there, that wasn’t like that just now. She kissed me. No I didn’t fight it like I had done with you, but you are also the big reason I didn’t fight her. Before I would have been too inexperienced and shocked to return a kiss like that, but now and with the way things are I feel different. Do you want me to turn her down? It could make things weird between she and I again if I do and there’s no telling what her reaction will be once she finds out about you and I.”
Rika looked down at her feet, ~No, I don’t want you to turn her down; of that, I am just guilty of being jealous, as I have already accepted her as a possible human mate for you. I’m just afraid that you might like or prefer her over me.~ Stroking her cheek, Evin said into her ear, “She can never replace you. You are my first love and for that matter my first everything from the moment I first appeared in this world. You helped me when no one else could when my powers were out of control, and it was you who I saved when we were at our worst moment when Team Rocket attacked us. Then just yesterday, it was you who foiled Team Rocket from regrouping when I was down. No Rika, you are my irreplaceable girl and I promise I will never try to substitute someone else for you.”
Rika felt embarrassed and turned around, ~I accept her as you second mate if she takes you and also accepts us. We lucario have been know to have more than one mate, so this case will be little different other than you both being human, but I will not tolerate being left out, you have to promise me that I can be there for it all.~ Evin chucked with exhausted mirth before he said, “I promise. You are my little vixen.” Rika huffed a laugh as she then said, ~Little? I’m nearly as big as you are.~ Evin shrugged before he then asked, “Shall we return to camp then?” Rika nodded her head before he continued, “Can I depend on you not to get jealous again if anything else does happen?” Rika smirked as she said, ~I’m not a saint.~
Both laughed a bit and started back for camp. Evin walked like a drunk with Rika following behind, but seemed to make his way back without falling before he found his place from earlier and plopped back down. Dawn had been watching as the two had come back to camp and couldn’t help but notice that both seemed a lot more at ease. “Anything interesting happen while you two were gone?” Evin and Rika looked at each other before Evin replied, “We worked things out.” Dawn looked over at Rika and said, “Don’t worry, I wont take him away from you.” Rika knew that Dawn didn’t yet grasp the situation of her display before, so she just gave her a happy nod. Together they all packed camp and stored the tent, then with a girl on either side of Evin they all setoff down the road towards Nacrene City.

Each couple of hours they had to stop and rest, because to Evin each time they setoff it felt like such a long and arduous walk that he just had to stop. They weren’t making good time, so by the time nightfall came they needed to camp again and stuffed Evin into the tent to get to sleep early. Sitting at the fire, Dawn talked with Rika about the things she had gone through since that morning at the pokemon center and related her uncertain feelings toward Evin. It was apparent to Rika on a multitude of levels that Dawn loved Evin, but for the same reasons Evin had first rejected her own claims of wanting to be his mate, Dawn was blocking out her own final decision.
Rika sighed out of exasperation and finally took pity on Dawn as she said, ~You humans are all alike. You fret over the things that you think are immodest and hesitate on things that should be said outright. You love him Dawn, I can feel it; you just need to decide if you want him to love you back. It’s that simple.~ With that Rika stood and went to bed to leave Dawn to her thoughts. A good while later, Dawn too joined them in the tent and like the night before she snuggled in on the opposite side from which Rika was snuggled in next to Evin.

The next morning Evin woke feeling a bit better than the day before. He found himself between both girls again, which was a feeling he could get used to. Sneaking out of the tent again, he first noticed that his skin didn’t seem nearly as pale and a lot of his former strength had returned. Doing a few stretches he found that he could still easily cause himself to have dizzy spells, but other than that he thought that it at least seemed like he had finally recovered. They only had about a four-hour walk ahead of them before they finally made it to Nacrene City, so there was no real rush to get going as Evin prepared an oatmeal breakfast for everyone.
Smelling the sweet scent of brown sugar, Rika left the tent following her nose and was delighted when Evin handed her a bowl. The concoction Evin had made was of a very simplistic nature, but one that tasted as good as a sweet treat since he always used brown sugar. As she devoured her meal with glee, Evin remarked as he said, “Probably isn’t good to be giving you sugar, so I’ll have to remember to get you a toothbrush next time we’re in town.” Rika looked up from her bowl, ~You humans always have so many gadgets for everything, but I have to admit, I do love the sweets and candies.~
“Yeah, well those sweets and candies can rot your teeth out if you don’t brush to keep them clean; so like I said, I need to get you a tooth brush.” Rika shrugged and went back to polishing off what was left in her bowl. Dawn finally arose from the tent with a yawning stretch and Evin offered her the last of the three bowls. She looked at it for a moment before accepting it, thinking that it was just an ordinary flavor. Taking the first bite, Dawn quickly exclaimed, “Wow, I’ve never had oatmeal that tasted like this!” Taken for a moment, Evin asked, “Really? It’s a really common flavor where I come from.”
Dawn shook her head, “No, I’ve had the berry and honey blends, but they’ve never used brown sugar before.” Evin was slightly bewildered, “That’s news to me, and here I just make it that way all the time since it’s always been my favorite flavor. Think we might get anything for suggesting it?” Dawn thought about it before she said, “I’m not sure, but it can’t hurt to find out I guess.” Saving the question for later Dawn finished off her bowl and before long they were packed and ready to go again. This time Evin was able to walk on his own, but both girls remained close in case he stumbled.

Though the walk wasn’t hard Evin still felt tired upon their arrival after they had spent the whole time talking and trying to get to know each other better. Upon arriving in town, they first went to the pokemart to get cloths and a few other essentials as they also exchanged their tents for a much larger one. The large tent was roughly the size of a gazebo and took two packs to carry, as they figured that they would bunk together from then on for added protection. The tarp and frame that had to be carried separately were each heavier than a complete full sized tent, but were designed to be much stronger and able to withstand harsh winds and even possibly a pokemon attack, which was a great upgrade from their simple cloth tents.
Between the trade-in and the other things they ended up buying, they were once again completely broke as far as spending money went, but they were by far much more prepared for a long journey. Heading into the pokemon center, Nurse Joy gasped at the sight of Evin’s attire before she said, “I got word from the rangers to be expecting a trainer that looked a bit worse-for-wear to be walking in some time, but this… It looks like you’ve come from a war zone. Are you hurt?” Evin shook his head, “None of us are hurt, our pokemon included, just tired. You say you heard from the rangers?”
Nurse Joy nodded as she said, “Yes, they radioed in a day ago that the treat watch was over and to be expecting a couple of trainers and said that the boy looked like he had gone through hell, but had said that he was fine when they left. I was expecting scrapes and bruises, but this looks like you were sliced to pieces.” Evin knew her description was pretty accurate as he inwardly sighed, but then said, “If you must know some of the details, I guess you could give Professor Juniper a call, but that’s only if you want to know more. I’ll be calling her tomorrow to let her know Dawn is safe, but for now I think we would all like a bite to eat before heading off to bed.”
Joy seemed a little skeptical at first, but then agreed that an answer to her curiosity could wait and said she would have meals brought out in a few minutes as she accepted Evin’s pokedex. For the first few minutes, Evin, Dawn, and Rika just sat in one of the booths holding their heads in tired contemplative silence. It was the first time that day that no one seemed to have much to talk about to the others, so it was a welcomed silence for all to continue possessing what had happened over the last few days. A chancey emerged from the backroom with two platters of human food and another with pokemon food. Everyone was ready to dig in about the time Nurse Joy returned and asked, “Are you going to be checking in your pokemon tonight?”
Evin and Dawn both quickly put their eating utensils down and removed their pokeballs as they used one of the trays to make a pile before Dawn said, “If you could take real good care of everyone tonight I will be eternally grateful. They weren’t hurt badly when I was caught, but the men did treat them roughly beforehand, so I’d defiantly feel better if you could have a close look at them.” Evin then piped in as he gave Rika a pet behind one of her ears, “And though my pokemon didn’t get hurt at all during the confrontation I’m sure they could use some extra special treatment for doing so well along with my lucario here.”
Nurse Joy was happy to see that everyone seemed to be doing so well after what the rangers had described and nodded with a smile as she took the tray with the pokeballs before saying, “Just send your lucario around the desk to enter the treatment room when you are all done here, You keycard for your room will be at the front desk when you are ready.” Everyone nodded with smiles saying, “Thank you.” Rike’s response however caused Nurse Joy to give a mock gasp as she then added, “Oh, an aura speaker. You’ll have to tell me all about the things that happened when you come to the back.” Rika smiled and nodded in a last response before cramming some food in her mouth, which caused everyone to laugh as she began pigging-out with delight. With that, Nurse Joy disappeared into the back while Dawn and Evin finally picked up their forks and started in on their own meals, taking their time to just enjoy eating together.

It was a while yet before the trio finished their meals and left the trays at the front desk before grabbing the key card. Evin hugged Rika and told her, “You were great the other day, be good for Nurse Joy and try to relax. I’m sure she will enjoy being able to have a conversation with you.” He gave her a wink and her ball before sending her around the desk and watched her disappear into the backroom. With a sigh, Evin turned to Dawn and smiled before they headed up the stairs. Dawn took notice in how tired Evin seemed to look and was a bit worried, yet at this same time she was already deciding on something that would change her journey forever, as she quietly followed.
The door unlocked with a click as the key card was swiped through the slot in the hallway and inside was a roomy space with two beds complete with a sink and fridge on the opposite wall from them. The room smelled of fresh linens with the slight scent of fruit from a fruit basket. Taking a look around the room, Dawn was thankful for the darkness since it concealed her blushing face from knowing what she would do next as she helped Evin remove his pack. Shrugging his pack off as his shoulder muscles popped, Evin let out another sigh and thanked Dawn for her help before removing his tattered blood soaked shirt and sitting down on the chair next to the door to rest for a moment. Dawn easily knew by the sounds coming from his shoulders that he was dealing with a lot of built up tension and after she had set her own pack on the floor she came to stand by him as she took his shoulders in hand.
Evin gave Dawn a curious look before she started grasping and pushing on the muscles in his neck and shoulders. He sighed with both pain and relief as knotted muscles popped and stretched while joints that had been nearly locked up creaked with the release of tension. It was the first massage he had ever had and it was a gimps of complete and total relaxation, as he did his best to let Dawn move him the way she wanted while it lulled him into a slight trance. It was over before he knew it, as he then felt Dawn sit in his lap so he could return the favor and watched her pull her hair aside to expose her shoulders as she asked, “Want to try giving me a massage?” Evin gulped down his nervousness before putting his hands on her shoulders and with the feeling of warmth beneath his hands and on his lap he found it hard to keep totally focused on the task at hand as his eyes wandered down her back.
He rubbed her in the same fashion she had just done for him and heard and felt the knotted muscles in his grasp popping with relief to his touch. It was a silent exchange of gratitude and trust between the two, but by the time he was nearly finished she turned around and kissed him on the lips. Once again Evin had been taken by surprise, but this time he was more than willing to comply, as he held the kiss with no resistance. Slowly Dawn pulled away; it was the first time she had kissed anyone in such a way and felt the heat of shy embarrassment coloring her face. Evin’s mind was still processing and slightly zoned-out, while Dawn stood and gabbed his hand.
At first Evin was slow to comply, but with Dawn slightly pulling on him he stood and followed her to the bathroom. His mind at this point was only barely functioning, as the entirety of the situation slowly unfolded when Dawn first began helping him out of the remainder of his tattered cloths. He was too zoned-out and tired to really show how bashful he felt about the situation, other than gaining an embarrassed blush, as she checked him out before she undressed. Out of compassionate understanding, Evin had been patiently holding her and standing without moving, as he had let her work her way through her painful deflowering. He knew it was a momentous occasion for her and didn’t want to spoil it with any rash actions or ill-conceived jokes to lighten the moment, since in her mind he knew that everything had fallen into place perfectly.
It was a strange feeling, to feel her pain, pleasure, and thoughts mixed with his own, which was in some small way kind of the same way it had been with Rika, but still different. He was trying to keep his mind from expanding into the area around him, but with his own feelings as they were it wasn’t a tangible possibility, as both his mind and aura seemed to pick up on everything that Dawn was feeling and thinking. “Evin?” Dawn asked looking and feeling really embarrassed again, “Yes?” he asked in return, wondering what she would ask next. She had some trouble getting the question out due to her embarrassment, “Can you, take me, right here, in the shower?”
Evin softly smiled and calmed her by simply saying in a soft loving tone, “Anything for you.” before hugging her with a kiss. His hands still being wrapped around her bottom, he pulled her up a bit till just his tip remained inside her and asked, “Are you ready for this?” With a blush still coloring her cheeks she nodded and with her signal to continue he let her sink back down onto his rod. It was a little awkward at first, as he searched for a comfortable way to continue, but With his abnormal strength he was able to easily pick her back up and repeat before he finally found a slow rhythm to keep pace with.
It wasn’t easy finding a great position in the shower while facing each other, but since it was what Dawn wanted, Evin did his best to find that perfect stance that would give them both the pleasure she sought after.
