  "description": "A few years ago, I conquered my fear of imperfection.\nI pushed myself to doodle something and not go back and fix anything, just leave it as-is. I think I specifically chose to draw Quackerjack because I was feeling really close to him at the time. \n\nI developed the fear due to asshole teachers and staff saying nasty shit to me in middle school when I doodled in my notebook. Art helped me escape the physical, verbal, and sexual abuse at home, as well as bullying at school. So, being told I'm not a \"real artist\" because I draw cartoons, and being screamed at for facetiously calling myself a perfectionist destroyed what was left of my self-worth and halted my artistic growth.\nIt took years to reclaim all that.\n\nLike I said in the original post, the hardest part was admitting that I had a problem. It was also hard posting this piece, but the feedback I got was all positive and aided immensely in my healing.\n\nThat all being said, this doodle was, is, and always will be a personal favorite of mine. 💜",
