\n\t\t\t\t\toneitvan.A sequel to this ( link ), a year after their initial meeting, Eddy's photography career had moved on from landscapes and nature, to modeling and fashion (a change that he greatly enjoyed - if nothing else, he liked not having creepy crawlies taking up residence in his camera bag while he worked); and wouldn't you know it, his first gig was to photograph his friend and "digital pen pal" Elizabeth "Liz" Paisley, who by this point, had become something of a recluse (though she had preferred the term "avid homebody").
Now, although they had been keeping in touch over the course of a year via phone calls, texts, and emails, this would be the first time that he'd actually seen her, in-person, for quite some time; after all, work tended to keep him busy and Eddy didn't want to bother her too much if he could help it.
Fate had other plans though, and he soon found himself at Liz's front door; though really, it wasn't so much "Fate", as it was the fact that he actually knew her, and he let slip to his bosses that he happened to talk with her online fairly regularly, thus making him the prime candidate for finding out just why Liz had suddenly seemed to just disappear from the public eye.
And well, soon after being let in and receiving a rather massive hug from Liz, he quickly found out why.
Turns out, Liz had gained some weight; like, a lot of weight. Like, enough weight to probably be mistaken for a beached whale (assuming she happened to be on a beach at the time, of course).
And as for how she suddenly became so massive, well, after their initial forest meeting last year, Liz had started getting into cooking and being the good chef that she was, made it a point to quote, "eat her mistakes"; and boy, did she make a lot of mistakes.
After all, she didn't want to waste all of that perfectly good (i.e. edible) food, so she'd just devour everything that she had made and try again until she figured it out; and by the time she'd finally get the recipes just right, well, she'd celebrate by cooking as much of her perfected foodstuffs as she could, and gobbling it all up in a veritable feast of the senses, which was a decision that definitely didn't do her waistline any favors (especially when her favorite recipes tended to involve a lot of deep frying and liberal amounts of butter). =p
And naturally, by the time she started to realize just how much of an effect her new cooking and eating habits had done to her figure, she ultimately decided to just stay home and continue practicing her cooking; especially since her royalties from previous modeling jobs were keeping her afloat rather nicely, so why not just stay at home, practice her cooking and eat loads of good food in the process?
Though in her case, maybe she went a little overboard with the "loads of good food" part of her plan (though I'm sure there are some that would actually argue otherwise, especially if it led to the kind of woman you'd see here). X3
