"description": "Decided to step a bit out of my comfort one and draw something waaay different to what I'm used to. This Is a Wurlitzer 146-A, a band organ.\n\nBand organs are pretty interesting musical Instruments, as they are mechanical Instruments; this means they don't need a someone to play them, they actually play music by themselves, with the use of a roll, a music book, a cilinder or MIDI.\nThis band organ plays rolls.\n\nThese organs are used for carousels rides. And they started becoming popular in the beggining of the 20'th century, however fairground organs already existed before that, like the ones made by Gavioli and Hooghuys, wich were european manufacturers.\nNot all mechanical organs are made for fairgrounds tho, there are other kind of organs called 'dance' organs; as the name suggests, they were used in ballrooms and cafés, where people would pay an ammount of money to dance to the organ's tunes (these were usually really short, so people would pay more money lol).\n\nThis organ in particular is my favorite Wurlitzer model. It's simple, but still flamboyant looking, and I love that!\nIt's not the best, nor the most antique or rare one, but I love how it looks and sounds, plus Is the only one I've had the oportunity to see and hear in real life, because I'm not from the US.\n\nSome videos of this organ playing:\n\nhttps://youtu.be/EG2EcJV1Y8Y\nhttps://youtu.be/xwfhhcZmh3E\nhttps://youtu.be/Vk9-Ban6ruI\nhttps://youtu.be/o8Kb4FZkBdA\n\nSome recorded music of this organ:\n\nhttps://youtu.be/_O75x03IriU\nhttps://youtu.be/TU_gWsoAB6o\nhttps://youtu.be/0Y5crXNMrgs\nhttps://youtu.be/bLjfV2gIIic\nhttps://youtu.be/KqNKgtdXwBw",
