Her name is literally night in another language.”\n\nLapis didn't question it, soon watching in astonishment how Natt's touch had made the side carriages take the form of a Clarence carriage with the chopper taking the place of the horse, and when Natt turned the ignition, Lapis was jumping at the roaring sound of the engine. Her fear was understood by Lauranne, who moved to the carriage and climbed into it, all while Natt manually adjusted the various selections on the display of the chopper to better suit her needs.\n\nLapis had to finally give in and climb into the carriage with Lauranne before the roaring sound of the chopper's engine was heard and with a skillful maneuvering, Natt let the dirt rip under the rubber as she steered them to the west, towards Grobuz, the capital city of Q'Sta'Ei, the realm of vampires.\n\nOver in Grobuz, the castle was at high alert after the news about the assassination attempt on the wyvern queen had reached the ears of both Maria and Violetta, forcing them to take along members of the Blood Court to collect and transport the unconscious body to the castle, this having left Elvira alone in her room while she was taking some of the free time to file the important documents for the relocation of Lapis to the Staeian registry.\n\nAll she had to quench her thirst for now was a glass of garnet de vie, a very succulent wine with a rich aroma, and a similar hue to blood. Elvira enjoyed life, having already settled into the life style. She also realized it was big enough for her and one more to lay in, but she knew that most likely she would need a normal bed at first. I know you lost your noble title, but you are still a countess in the eyes of those who find what happened to you to be unforgiveable.”\n\nLapis bowed to her, “Your words are very kind, your bloody majesty. And I have heard tales about your many decisions that goes against formalities in the queendom.” Violetta nodded before a loud screech was heard and soon Natt and Lauranne were pinned down as Ocarina hugged them, making Lapis jump back a bit until she saw Sonata joining the hug, but soon her dress was gently pulled by someone and when looking down, Lapis saw Melody there, gently picking her up, “Awwww, aren't you cute?”\n\nMelody smiled before Sonata got up and walked over to take Melody from Lapis gently, making Lapis nod, “Is she your daughter?” Sonata shook her head with a smile, “No, she is my little sister. Elvira then remembered something and looked at Violetta, “I need to get the papers from my room.” Violetta nodded before Elvira ran back to her room, got the envelope with the papers and quickly came back to hand them over to Maria, who tore the envelope open and read through the papers, pricking her finger to sign the necessary lines in her blood before handing one copy of the papers over to Elvira, who held them out to Lapis, “Have these, countess Lazuli.”\n\n“Call me Lapis, Elvira. We are both Makians here.” Lapis said before reading the papers and then looking at her, “I correct that, Staeians. I lost my noble title. Over in Grobuz, the castle was at high alert after the news about the assassination attempt on the wyvern queen had reached the ears of both Maria and Violetta, forcing them to take along members of the Blood Court to collect and transport the unconscious body to the castle, this having left Elvira alone in her room while she was taking some of the free time to file the important documents for the relocation of Lapis to the Staeian registry.

All she had to quench her thirst for now was a glass of garnet de vie, a very succulent wine with a rich aroma, and a similar hue to blood. Elvira enjoyed life, having already settled into the life style. A knock on the door soon signaling that someone was entering and Elvira listened to the sound of the footsteps before nodding, “Greetings, Viscountess Bloodwing. How may I hear you out?”

The old bat was surprised at how Elvira could figure out it was her from just listening to her footsteps, but knowing how their senses improved when becoming vampires, she didn't question it, “I just wanted to say, dear, that I am really sorry about what a terrible childhood you had. I cannot even begin to understand how much you went through until the queen saved you.”

Elvira looked at her before standing up, “I am grateful for that her majesty saved me. I was ready to surrender myself to the After. But she gave me another chance at life. That's why I am here now. To help make the realm better for everyone.” The footsteps of another slowly approaching could be heard before Elvira smiled, “I can hear you, Grand Duchess Bloodheart, please enter if you wish.”

Both of them were amazed as the grand duchess entered the room, moving slowly due to her old age, “How could you know it was me?” Elvira giggled at her confusion, “You have a wavy way of walking, like you place more effort on using your left foot than your right one.” She knew to not question her, instead seeing the bottle of wine, “Garnet de vie. You got an exquisite taste. Maybe try a bottle of Le Sang des Nobles next.”

Elvira nodded before she quickly filled in the last of the paperwork before putting it in a big envelope and licking the glue-like substance on the sealing with a sudden whinny of pain being heard as she accidentally got a paper cut on her tongue, “Is there no easier way to do this to avoid it from happening?” Both the grand duchess and viscountess knew what she meant as they had their shared experience with having a paper cut on the tongue.

With her duty done and both the grand duchess and viscountess leaving, Elvira decided to try out her new coffin. Opening the lid, she found the inside being lined with red silk and a good amount of cushioning. She also realized it was big enough for her and one more to lay in, but she knew that most likely she would need a normal bed at first. And as soon as she laid down in the coffin, she found the lid closing on her and she fell asleep.

As the morning sun peered in through the window, the lid opened for Elvira to slowly soak in the light, and the sound of a rapidly approaching line of guests. Elvira could hear it clearly, and it wasn't so long before the sound was almost outside her window and as she looked out, she saw Natt turning off the chopper while Lapis and Lauranne sat in the carriage.

With her rapid reflexes, Elvira was soon wearing her dress after quickly pulling on some underwear that had been dropped off for her by a maid. She was blushing a bit at how revealing her dress was, but hearing the castle doors opening, she didn't have time to think about it and quickly made her way out of the room and to the grand hall, where both Maria and Violetta stood.

Slowly joining them, Violetta gave the signal and the second set of doors opened as Natt and Lauranne entered, followed by Lapis, who was looking around at everything in the grand hall before her attention was brought forward to the trio standing there. Violetta smiled, “Greetings, countess Lapis Lazuli. I know you lost your noble title, but you are still a countess in the eyes of those who find what happened to you to be unforgiveable.”

Lapis bowed to her, “Your words are very kind, your bloody majesty. And I have heard tales about your many decisions that goes against formalities in the queendom.” Violetta nodded before a loud screech was heard and soon Natt and Lauranne were pinned down as Ocarina hugged them, making Lapis jump back a bit until she saw Sonata joining the hug, but soon her dress was gently pulled by someone and when looking down, Lapis saw Melody there, gently picking her up, “Awwww, aren't you cute?”

Melody smiled before Sonata got up and walked over to take Melody from Lapis gently, making Lapis nod, “Is she your daughter?” Sonata shook her head with a smile, “No, she is my little sister. Technically as she was adopted.” Lapis felt a bit dumb, but her eyes suddenly fixated on Elvira approaching slowly, and Lapis understood, “You are the one who wanted me to come here and live with you so you could also protect me?”

Elvira nodded and with the same respect as she had been taught, but more like in a way to give Lapis a feel for tradition, she gently took the arm and placed her fangs against it, but didn't complete the bite. This made Lapis blush a bit and Violetta nodded, “Countess Lapis Lazuli, meet Countess Elvira Bloodmane. She already greeted you in our way.”

Lapis found it interesting and soon to not make it rude, she took one of Elvira's arms and gave a bite, but with her flat teeth, no blood came out, but Elvira still found it honorable of Lapis to follow the customs of the realm. Elvira then remembered something and looked at Violetta, “I need to get the papers from my room.” Violetta nodded before Elvira ran back to her room, got the envelope with the papers and quickly came back to hand them over to Maria, who tore the envelope open and read through the papers, pricking her finger to sign the necessary lines in her blood before handing one copy of the papers over to Elvira, who held them out to Lapis, “Have these, countess Lazuli.”

“Call me Lapis, Elvira. We are both Makians here.” Lapis said before reading the papers and then looking at her, “I correct that, Staeians. I lost my noble title. I should call you countess instead.” Elvira shook her head, “If you wanna be called Lapis, then I wanna be called Elvira.”

Both came to the agreement on that before Elvira smiled, “Now, why don't you follow me and I can ask two maids to come with us so they can give us both a calming massage?” Lapis blushed a bit at the question, “Sounds good, but I rather... umm...” Lapis' voice slowly sunk in volume like she was shy to admit it.

Elvira heard it, but she wanted to hear her say it, “What did you say? I could not hear you.” Lapis blushed a bit more, “I said that I would rather...” Her voice trailed off again and Elvira giggled, “I didn't catch what you said. Again, please.” Lapis began with her face blushing strongly, “I said that I would rather...” Now Elvira had caught her when she spoke with her, “...have you do it to me.”

Lapis realized that she had been tricked and covered her face, making both Violetta and Maria smile before they looked at them, “We'll leave you two alone now.” Elvira thought it was maybe for the best before she got closer and gently took both of Lapis' hands away from her face, softly speaking to her.

“I will gladly do that for a young mare like you, but only at a cost.” Lapis was wondering what it could be, also blushing from being called young, “I am not young... but what price is it?” Elvira leaned up close to her ear and whispered, “I want a kiss from you. A beautiful silver vein on a blue dawn.”

Lapis' face turned a shade of purple from how hard she was blushing, but soon they both shared a deep kiss, under the gaze of a warm sun before a loud crash was heard from above and Violetta's voice could be heard, “What in the gaja'ca was that?!” The only thing both Lapis and Elvira could see was a beam of light erupting from one of the rooms in the castle, but neither of them cared right now, as they were too busy enjoying the company they both had needed for so long.
