when the Heshen Empire launched its third Inquisition. While not having much magical potential herself her mother was a powerful pyronancer and a well known healer. While this doesn't typically come with any negative connotations to the Heshen the use of magic is to profane their goddess. In their zeal they'd launched two pevious Inquisitions in the past thousand years conquering the Heshen desert and the greater continent of Regane to the south. \n\nAfter a thousand years of recovery and internal strife the Heshen turn their eyes to the north. The Heshens offered a solution by way of the Collar, an implement that would suppress a mages magical potential but to accept that would be to accept a life of ridicule and be forced into a lower class. To be seen as something lesser to the normal, non-magical peoples of Iysreia. Some do accept this, they had their reasons.\nFamilies like Milha's, however chose to run. To seek shelter in further northern countries that had a military to protect them. One such country was Triitia; a conglomerate of countries that were ruled over by one king; the Ayden. A small fleet of ships were offered to ferry the Magicker population across the gulf to Triitia. Only a handful of ships made it back. Before Triitian soldiere had everyone loaded onto the ships the Heshen began to shell the city. Milha lost her arm to one such shell. And her mother with nothing but the world ahead and her home in flames behind her.
