While everyone else ran away from the tinted rays
Everyone hoped that you would change your mind
But even to this day they`d claim brave

The wind booed and hissed as it brushed away
Knocking out poles, milestones, and years of hard work

Heavy hands slowly dragged them around

Water stopped sinking through the ground
Making everything around home float
Making things more exciting
Everything that didn`t bloat

You grew up with days like this
Heard and read about these days
Water spreads worldwide and nothing new
So why? This time everything seems glossed

But they run and run towards the toys
Towards the joys that saved your grace
