Where did he go? I'd just seen that furry beast! My horse thundered along the road on the tail of my prey, a vile creature that was only beat out by vampires. My silver armor reflected in the moonlight, my silver gauntlets tightly holding onto the reins. Slowing down I brought the horse to a short trot. Eyes gazing all around, I was ready to reach for my dagger should anything happen. "Where have you gone too little beastie. Come out to play." Suddenly I realize there is movement to my right, there is a ridge and before I can dodge there is a clawed form hurling out at me, it's body collides with mine and we both fall away from the horse. My back slammed into the wet mud, the beast's body on top of mine. The smell of burning fur quickly reached my nose, the wolf had mistaken my amour, not realizing it to be pure silver. The beast cried out in pain, moving off of me and quickly attempting to use the ground to cool itself. Using his pain to my advantage I quickly stood up, brandishing my sword, and stepping a silver boot onto one of it's clawed hands. A pained howl echoed through the woods around us, but the wolf unable to pull back attempted against hope to wiggle around, escape. Stepping down harder he cried out again, steam seeming to rise from where I was stepping on it's hand. "Pathetic, can't even take some silver on his hand. What type of wolf are you?" I chuckled before lifting my foot up to then slammed it back down. A scream came from the wolf and was that a crunch? Delightful. "Oh right, a werewolf." Lifting up my boot again I watched the creature yank back it's paw. Pointing my sword at the creature it didn't dare move. Holding it's paw close, fear clouded it's eyes, watching my sword. Smirking I stepped closer, it scooted back, trying to avoid the blade. "You beasts are a plight on this world, killing and taking what isn't yours, but now, it's my turn." Quickly stepping forward I lifted my sword up, looking ready to strike, the beast decided to go down fighting. As he lunged forward I thrust the sword down, the hilt slamming against it's head. The silver burned while the force seemed to knock the beast out, it's body slumped into me as it fell. The body burned briefly from landing against my armor but the wolf remained out. Stepping back I sheathed my sword and looked at my handiwork. The creature was as large as a six foot tall human, but was covered in a thick layer of brown fur, some areas burned off from the silver. According to locals this one hadn't done anything wrong yet, but that's why I was here, to make sure it never happened. These vile beasts in recent years did less to no longer draw the ire from villages, but they were still demons that needed defeating. Pulling out my rope I set to work tying the creature to the trees around it. When I was done, it'd never be a problem again. Moon high in the sky I finished with the last knot. Stepping up to the beast's face I took off the silver gauntlets I wore. Dropping the left to the ground, I swung the right at the beast. The sliver hand slammed into the creatures jaw, burning the skin and fur as it moved past. The beast startled awake, lips pulling back into a snarl. Realizing it was tied down it tried to lurch forward only to be held in place. Dropping the gauntlet with the other I stared deep into the wolf's eyes. The amber blue mix was unique but I wasn't here to just stare at them. Pulling off my helmet, my silver hair fell down my back. The wolf lurched back a bit but seemed confused. "Oh you silly wolves, all about power to you, well fine. I'm gonna show you power then, and you're going to enjoy it, or hate it, I don't care." Walking past the wolf I dragged my hand through his fur, it was soft, and silky to my fingertips. As I got closer to his hind quarters I started digging my nails into his skin, the wolf tried to move away but the ropes held tight. He was at my mercy. I wanted to include more for this teaser, but already the chapter is nearly a third done.
