Well, here's a change of pace to start another short story. By change of pace, I mean that this story has a little different ambience than the other ones. It does have some NSFW parts and a few kinks, but it's mostly about developing the characters before the second part.

I do love how this turned out. I do thank a certain friend in Discord for helping me out with the title. Now we'll see what it does for this story. Only one more to go.

The sun was shining and the birds were fluttering in the ponds, cleaning themselves up, unaware of the lives of the more sentient beings that live nearby.\n\nRausis remained awake for several minutes naked on his bed. The cyan and black frake (furred snake) enjoyed his slow, uneventful time relaxing in his quarters, cuddled in his soft mattress between bed sheets and pillows.\n\n'wonder what will I do today' he asked himself. After having a crazy Farryday yesterday with several of his work companions to celebrate the end of another work week, he had no plans in mind for this day. Having a huge hangover after partying, he was knocked out and awoke in a very refreshed state.\n\nHe took a deep breath, still remaining still in his bed, enjoying the soft, morning breeze that flurried by his nostrils, taking out the old air and bringing in new into his lungs. Rausis flicked his tongue slowly, feeling the gentle calmness that surrounded him this morning.\n\nJayki Street was not exactly the most peaceful community of Sektic City, but knowing right now that his one day of the week in which he does not have to go to work is completely silent, with only the sounds of nature flowing through the air like a cool morning breeze is just exhilarating. Rausis relished in the peace that the moment had brung upon him, like if it was going to be the last time that silence would march and reign over the population that inhabited this small community.\n\nMost of the people were very conservative, and quite active. Some cleaned their houses the same day that Rausis was off, and often times it was in the morning. This frequency of noise pretty much got him waking up drained after rough days at work to complete the week.\n\n'well, I guess things just won't happen by themselves... maybe some time at the pool will help' he thought in a lax state. He slowly got up and stretched his body. Bones popped gently, yet they rearranged themselves as the frake enjoyed his stretching up, and then calmed down. His muscles relaxed as Rausis remained there for a minute to enjoy the aftertaste.\n\n\"Ahh\" he breathed. He slowly moved himself over downstairs, where his kitchen would be. He never even minded putting clothes on, as he is getting used very well to having his beautiful, furry, patterned body out and free. He enjoyed the feeling of the wind breezing by his fur, caressing each hair gently as if the frake was being groomed.\n\nAs he cooked his food, he remembered one important thing that he had to do in order to not get in trouble. The last time he went to the pool, he was scolded by his nosy neighbor Gulzuma, who was as fat as annoying for Rausis, and strictly hated the idea of other furs and scales to be out in the open naked like porn stars.\n\nRausis never bothered asking Gulzuma why she thought that way, since he already had memories from his grandmother and grandfather, who both believed sturdily in that nudity is bad, and must always be outlawed. This had him some influence, especially when you add up how his parents took the subject themselves.\n\nRausis winced a little, quickly turning off the stove in some stress. He made himself some half cooked bacon and eggs and quickly gobbled them up. He gave a sigh and quickly went upstairs to look for a bathing suit to put on his lower bottom, and hopefully not live again the terrible moment he had to deal with the police when Gulzuma turned him in for dishonest exhibition.\n\nHe found a pair of bathing pants in rainbow tye-dye coloring. He liked the style and put them on, even though it somewhat mismatched his own coloring. This is the last pair of bathing pants he bought and the only ones he genuinely liked without just buying them for the sake of shutting up all the conservative people.\n\nBut now that he had his pair, he could go to his pool in peace, with low risk of being turned in again. Rausis went down the stairs and out to his yard and stopped himself for a minute.\n\nHe took in a deep breath and spread his arms wide, enjoying the feel of the morning air as the wind carried it in slow motion. The peace he had today was impeccable, and he enjoyed each bit. Now that he felt more relaxed, he slowly went up a couple stairs to the platform where his pool was.\n\nHe climbed a ladder, and gently dipped himself in up to his belly, which was the height of the water. He embraced the feel of his toes and claws being covered in water and the wet feeling of his body being surrounded by the cool fluid, which filled the pool. Taking his bathing suit off and holding it in his hand for a bit, he slowly dipped himself further inside, his butt cheeks eventually kissing the bottom of a staircase as Rausis went up to his neck in water.\n\nHe closed his eyes and enjoyed the peace. He slowly lost track of time and let go of the bathing suit, unaware of where it'd end up. He just wanted to enjoy this one time alone, and hope that nothing could ruin it.\n\n\"Hey, what are you doing!?\" An angry female voice yelled at him from a short distance. Rausis clenched his brows and slowly opened his eyes, slowly feeling the sting of disappointment that his heart felt when he saw the oversized body of the conservative spiked cobra.\n\nGulzuma was awfully fat, awfully well kept and just always being an awfully bad pain in the tail. Rausis felt like rattling his tail in a little frustration as he had to sit through and listen to her lecture once he replied.\n\n\"Relaxing? Enjoying life?\" He said, arching a brow in an annoyed manner, not noticing that his tail was rattling somewhat viciously in the water. 'not being a conservative twat?' his mind added.\n\n\"Nobody should enjoy life going around in your hatchday suit like if you were some prostitute. Go get some clothes on or I'm going to call the police again and make sure you end up in jail.\" She scolded while giving an angry scowl. She turned around and walked away in her usual fine-ass stuck-up attitude, leaving the poor frake just flared up from the reaction.\n\nIt was worse than last time. She clearly wanted to get him in trouble even though he wasn't doing anything remotely wrong. 'how can I ever be happy with her around? I have no privacy' Rausis sighed and dipped himself underwater for as long as he could hold his breath to try to relax and not ever be disturbed again.\n\nHis anger didn't exactly diminish much; he was still bristled at how he was treated. He lost track of time again in the hopes that his internal ranting would stop eventually, even though the longest he recalls holding his breath was about five to ten minutes. Still, it didn't matter to him; he could always just take a breath and go back down silently. It was the good thing about being a half reptile - he didn't have to take breaths as much as other furs had to because his body is adapted to water.\n\nNot to mention, a mix of cold and hot blood in his body helps him adapt to a lot of temperatures. The problem, however, he didn't find it as useful as another fur would, or at least he thought. His mind eventually wandered into appreciating his body and hoping that something big would happen.\n\nThough something went 'tap tap tap' in his head as he was poked about a few times. He groaned angrily again, thinking that Gulzuma was already invading his property to tell him to get some clothes on.\n\nQuickly, his head shot up, flaring his fangs as he began to yell \"Gulzuma will you-!\" He stopped his yelling as he raised himself to his full height. His fangs receded as he saw the beautiful shape of Leela just standing right on the other side of the pool.\n\nAnd then he noticed: he was naked in front of one of his friends, who he didn't know how they'd react to this.\n\nHe started to blabber in a rush \"Oh, wait I'm sorry, I just thought that Gulzuma - then you came, and then I thought that you - that she - that I'm very sorry about looking like this naked I just wanted to relax to-\" he was interrupted by Leela slapping him in his cheek.\n\n\"Jeez, calm down, Rausis\" she said in her sassy, dominant tone, holding her arms bent so her hands could press on her waist, providing a serious appearance.\n\n\"Sorry\" Rausis replied. Rubbing his cheek, he worried about what Leela might think about him being naked.\n\n\"You know I'm not conservative, so sheesh, Rausis.\" Leela crossed her arms for a minute. Some short period later, she seemed to lose her tension \"look, I need some help\" she said, lightening up a little, but not enough to make Rausis feel comfortable. He quickly put his clothes on just in case, and began to listen.\n\n\"Okay, what kind of help?\" He replied attentively, tilting his head and crossing his arms to keep his posture.\n\n\"Well, come follow me; it's better if I show you\" she said and motioned for him to come.\n\nLeft no choice, Rausis shrugged and followed Leela. Rausis wondered if all snakes were just plain close minded, since Leela was not conservative, and as far as he knew, she was a black lizard who moved in from Kyptia.\n\nAnd for someone that is truly cold blooded, she's got some warm looking fat right there and is much more warm hearted than a good amount of snakes in this neighborhood. Rausis couldn't wrap his head around this, so he stopped thinking about it for a minute.\n\nEventually, they reached Leela's home, which was somewhat close by in the same street, about a couple houses away, just across the street. It was very square-ish, with a triangular shaped roofing. The house was quite charming with the gentle coloring it had, but it wasn't as heavily decorated as some other houses here.\n\n\"Come inside\" Leela said with a more welcoming voice than she had before. It seems that enough time has passed for her tension to go away, but Rausis still felt a little awkward.\n\nOnce he entered the house though, he felt even more awkward. Leela guided him in, but Rausis kept away as much as he could and hope he didn't intrude too much.\n\nHe also nervously scouted his surroundings. Their first room seemed like a living room. It had couches, a love seat and a television on the farther wall to the right, just hanging from it. More rooms were ahead of the door, but Rausis stayed immobile.\n\n\"Make yourself at home. Like, please\" she welcomingly said, but then turned her usual serious voice as if telling Rausis to relax and be himself.\n\nReality was, he couldn't. His reply was quite clumsy \"yeah, uh right, thanks\", and his movements were a little off as he followed Leela. \"Where?\"\n\nLeela sighed and signaled to him \"here, come on\" she said and quickly turned to the next room to the right.\n\nOnce he came into the room, he looked around, still feeling alien to this new environment. Being here was nothing like being in his house. Back there, he had his comfort and privacy, as well as knowing where everything was. Here, he was right beside one of his oldest friends. Regardless of her being of the better, more reliable friendships Rausis had, he still felt like he shouldn't exactly be himself here.\n\n\"So, what's wrong?\" He stammered a little, still following Leela like a baby chick.\n\n\"Here\" she tapped her computer, as it was showing some sort of blue screen. Of course, this was a gaming room. That explained all the awkward banners that show heroes, assassins, and a couple more light hearted posters that decorated the room, along with some figures on a shelf, and a few trophies. Is this what Leela dedicates her teenage years to?\n\n\"What's wrong with it?\" Rausis said, somewhat absent minded. He sure felt like he was going back to his workplace, seeing the possible task that he was supposed to deal with.\n\n\"I don't know, what do you make of it?\" She replied like if she was having expectations of him. It didn't help keep Rausis at comfort.\n\n\"Well, it's displaying a blue screen\" he said, shrugging carefreely.\n\n\"Well, duh, but I was just browsing some sites and then this happened\" Leela replied and tried moving the mouse around, but the system didn't exit the blue screen.\n\n\"Well, did you download anything?\" Rausis went down and started reading the error messages and codes that were on screen, trying to understand the problem.\n\n\"No, nothing I can recall, I was just trying to look through some game forums and it just did that\" she said and Rausis somewhat understands what happened now.\n\nAnd of course, he'd have to leave it for another day because he didn't bring his computer and he didn't want to work today.\n\n\"Look\" he stood up and put one hand on Leela's shoulder, looking at her sympathetically \"it looks like someone just managed to attack your computer and leave it useless. I'll come tomorrow when the hacker hopefully left it alone to try and fix it\" he said and quickly got hugged.\n\n\"Oh, thank you; don't worry, I'll pay you as soon as I see the computer working again\" she said and hugged him body to body, giving Rausis a weird feel as their crotches were almost touching each other. The hug still felt normal, though. \n\nRausis blushed and let go, somewhat embarrassed, and quickly scratched the back of his head. \"Yeah, no problem, maybe I'll decide on how much to charge tomorrow; I'll just think if how to solve this\" he said and quickly started lumbering for a way out, feeling a little strange at the time.\n\n\"Thanks, Rausis! Can't wait to see you tomorrow!\" Leela replied and Rausis waved back, barely seeing her body. Through his peripheral vision, Rausis thought he caught her rubbing her crotch as well. Quickly, he moved out of the house.\n\n'that was weird' he thought and quickly put his hands in his bathing suit pockets. In the not-so-much rush, he had completely forgotten that he needed to put a top on, but luckily, the most people complain about is his groin being displayed.\n\nHe soon reached his house and called his work place so his boss knew he would not be able to go to work tomorrow. He worked as an antivirus software programmer, and as such had to be there almost every day doing research on every possible kind of malware that was being invented and how to counteract it.\n\nBut tomorrow, he had to work now on some more serious work. He had to fight a virus through his own computer because the program left Leela's computer completely useless. To his luck, Leela's parents weren't around, so there wouldn't be much problem with having to do things tomorrow, since nobody would be constantly watching over both of them, even though he was just going to help Leela and nothing more.\n\nAfter thinking for some bit about different ways to counter that virus, Rausis decided to ultimately charge about 250 furalls for the task. Furalls, being the national currency for Furries United Real Progression States (and more, aka FURPS+, or pronounced as Furplus), was not easy to earn, as he was paid only 14 furalls, only about four or so above the nation's minimum. It was going to be worth it though, as his job ain't as easy as just saying words to a computer so it obeys.\n\nSo instead, Rausis remained in his house, watching Furflix and taking a look at some flicks that appear on it. Eventually, he settled for watching Fap Furs For Life, which was the most recent iteration of the Fap Furs series. Then, as time went on, he went in his pool and enjoyed a good, cool day just being a cute, wet, furry snake.\n\nSoon enough as he went to bed, he heard his smart phone ring, and quickly picked up. \"Hello?\" He said from the phone.\n\nThe call continued on; Leela's parents had given him a couple of notes to keep in mind when going to Leela's house, as if her conservative parents had no idea that Leela was not the lizard that Rausis thought they made her to be. Eventually, Rausis hung up, leaving with a reply \"okay, I understand, I'll take good care of her tomorrow\" he said and quickly hung up.\n\nRausis gave a sigh. Although his day was mostly relaxed, he was already feeling stressed about tomorrow. Being given a new burden on top of his task, those 250 furalls were not going to be any easier to earn than his 14 hourly ones.\n\n//Solday morning//\n\nThe alarm clock Rausis set before getting to bed had been ringing furiously for quite a bit. He had no idea who he'd disturb today with the constant noise, but eventually, he just turned it off and began to get up.\n\nGiving himself his personal grooming, he brushed his hair and gently handled his fur with care. He wanted to keep the patterns nice, clean and intact for the rest of his life, and as such, personal care was very important to him. When he finished brushing himself, he went to his closet just outside the bedroom and began putting some more formal clothes on, contrary to how he behaved yesterday.\n\nThe feeling of being naked was nice, and as such, Rausis picked some casual clothing instead of going super formal like if he was some overly civil ape. He put some underwear on with the shame of having to cover his sheath up, and then began to put his shirt on. Not thinking much about it, he put some pants on and forgot that he needed socks and footwear, so he decided to bring those down with him and then put them on while he cooked his french toast.\n\nThe morning was a little peaceful. Some cars and horns could be heard on the street, which only indicated that this was going to be a fairly busy Solday morning. Rausis's heart ached a little, but he had to do what was necessary to be able to pay his debts.\n\nWhile he sat down in the dining room, he remembered how he reacted upon Leela hugging him. Consecutively, he also remembered one note that Leela's parents had left Rausis to take care of, which was to keep an eye on Leela's shenanigans. He had very minimal idea of what that meant, but it only foreshadowed a million possibilities of what weird stuff Leela could do, considering how much she trusted him (despite slapping his face every time he does something dumb).\n\nPretending to be ignorant, he ate his breakfast in peace and remained pacifically sitting in his table, looking out the window that showed his back yard.\n\nIt was planted neatly with a couple of fruit trees: snekberries, apples, oranges, dragonfruit, peaches, and a couple grape plants that made a light canopy with its branches and leaves. Are you in there?\" He heard Leela call from outside. Rausis sighed.\n\n\"Let's get this show on the road\" he said to himself and put his plate on the sink, giving it a gentle wash before attending to Leela, who was knocking and calling again as if she was being ditched.\n\n\"I'm ready\" he said after opening the door \"let's go\"\n\n\"Great!\" Leela said and quickly grabbed his arm and tugged him along \"I called mommy and daddy to tell them what happened and they told me you have to babysit-\" she stopped for a moment, turning back to see Rausis calmly locking the door and putting his two hands in his pockets.\n\n\"You said something?\" Rausis gave a slight smike, looking innocently at Leela.\n\n\"You're going to babysit me for today\" Leela smiled. Rausis at least didn't have to take this unexpectedly. He already knew with yesterday's call that her parents would lose confidence in her when they knew about the computer, as if she could basically ravage the house on her own.\n\n\"Why? You're basically 15 now\" Rausis replied, still looking somewhat calm and resigned.\n\n\"My parents don't trust me to take care of the house, after I told them about what happened to my computer\" she said, somewhat changing her expression to match discontent and shame.\n\nAnd of course, a mental 'told ya, Rausis' followed in his mind as soon as he heard his assumption confirmed. He didn't make any remark of it, though. \"Well that's silly\" he replied and Leela began tugging him again, this time with both hands. Rausis just followed her and got by her side so he wasn't dragged to the ground.\n\n\"I know, but hey, that means we get to have a sleepover!\" She said excitedly, quickly turning away \"if you want\".\n\n\"I wouldn't mind\" he said somewhat relaxed. He didn't care much about sleeping with someone else, as long as there was no mention of having sex with a female.\n\nWhile his rational side would argue that he wasn't ready to risk fertilizing an egg, there was another side that would occasionally argue against that.\n\n\"Yeah, but first things first, I need you to fix that computer. He unlocked the front door, and as soon as he went in, he went out with a small suitcase and his phone. He locked the door again and this time joined Leela a little more encouraged fully prepared \"now I'm ready\"\n\n\"Well, good, let's go!\" She said and quickly dragged him forwards.\n\nSoon at the house, the two were already inside getting comfortable in the gaming room. Rausis placed his phone on the left side while on the right he placed and turned on his now opened computer. Leela relaxed on the bean bag playing on the Fintendo Witch while Rausis looked at her collection of Fintendo consoles as his computer loaded up.\n\nThere were a few consoles of the same type in her displays, such as the Fintendo GameSphere and the Fintendo Woo, but if Rausis recalled correctly, she didn't seem to show any signs of owning the Fintendo Woo Huu or the original Fintendo Entertainment Systems.\n\n\"Hey, do you know about the Woo Hoo?\" Rausis asked, his computer still loading a few more things.\n\n\"Not really. Is that some kind of Woo add-on?\" She asked, tilting her head.\n\n\"No, if I recall correctly, it was the next console after Fintendo Woo\" he replied, still shifting his eyes to focus on both Leela and his computer, all the while the dead blue screen displayed on the computer he had to fix.\n\n\"Oh... I didn't know about that...\" she said, somewhat disconcerted.\n\n\"Yeah, do you know about the console war too? Seems like you might know quite a bit about video games\" he said, signalling to the game room.\n\n\"Ah, yeah, but mostly about the games I play. I don't really care about the console war between mini boner and tooty\" she gave a dismissive motion to the topic, as if she didn't care about it. He believed that Leela actually was aware that he took his clothes off by now, but somehow, the look on her face seemed to put that in denial.\n\nIf anything, he remained a little dazed thinking about it, with only the alarm of his computer snapping him out of it.\n\n\"What's wrong?\" Leela called from behind.\n\n\"Nothing\" Rausis dismissed without even looking at her. He felt stupid now that he realized he remained a whole bit of time just wondering about Leela's complete change in behavior.\n\nTrying to focus on the computer, he ignored a couple vibrations his phone had given him while he worked. The fight was tough, but he was already finishing to put together a code that will shut down the virus and hopefully reset Leela's computer to its last save state. The problem is, what would doing this undo for Leela?\n\nWell, so far Leela didn't seem to care much about what she'd lose if her computer was fixed. On another note, it could be possible that she was the kind of person that had just a minimal idea of how computers worked.\n\nSoon enough, though, Leela's computer shut down, which means that he managed to deliver the algorithm successfully. Now all he had to do is wait until the final bit of code that he implemented for the sake of the computer rebooting automatically played, and Leela's computer would restart.\n\nNow, changing the mindset and hoping to make things right again, he turned over and looked at Leela, who was absent minded playing on the Witch. He took a deep breath and tried to brace himself for any impact he might get for doing this.\n\n\"Leela?\" He called out in a soft tone.\n\nThe lizard only looked up, as if trying to avoid him.\n\n\"Look, I'm sorry about what happened, I know we rarely see each other naked and I shouldn't have just taken my clothes off like that\" he said, pretending like he didn't ask for permission first.\n\n\"No, it was my fault... She sighed for a moment before straight up looking at Rausis \"I like you, you're nice, you're pretty... and I just feel awkward seeing you naked...\" Leela said and Rausis felt like there was some sort of misinformation going on. It was a peaceful Sapterday morning in Sektic City, home of many snake-like anthropomorphic creatures. The sun was shining and the birds were fluttering in the ponds, cleaning themselves up, unaware of the lives of the more sentient beings that live nearby.

Rausis remained awake for several minutes naked on his bed. The cyan and black frake (furred snake) enjoyed his slow, uneventful time relaxing in his quarters, cuddled in his soft mattress between bed sheets and pillows.

'wonder what will I do today' he asked himself. After having a crazy Farryday yesterday with several of his work companions to celebrate the end of another work week, he had no plans in mind for this day. Having a huge hangover after partying, he was knocked out and awoke in a very refreshed state.

He took a deep breath, still remaining still in his bed, enjoying the soft, morning breeze that flurried by his nostrils, taking out the old air and bringing in new into his lungs. Rausis flicked his tongue slowly, feeling the gentle calmness that surrounded him this morning.

Jayki Street was not exactly the most peaceful community of Sektic City, but knowing right now that his one day of the week in which he does not have to go to work is completely silent, with only the sounds of nature flowing through the air like a cool morning breeze is just exhilarating. Rausis relished in the peace that the moment had brung upon him, like if it was going to be the last time that silence would march and reign over the population that inhabited this small community.

Most of the people were very conservative, and quite active. Some cleaned their houses the same day that Rausis was off, and often times it was in the morning. This frequency of noise pretty much got him waking up drained after rough days at work to complete the week.

'well, I guess things just won't happen by themselves... maybe some time at the pool will help' he thought in a lax state. He slowly got up and stretched his body. Bones popped gently, yet they rearranged themselves as the frake enjoyed his stretching up, and then calmed down. His muscles relaxed as Rausis remained there for a minute to enjoy the aftertaste.

"Ahh" he breathed. He slowly moved himself over downstairs, where his kitchen would be. He found a pair of bathing pants in rainbow tye-dye coloring. He liked the style and put them on, even though it somewhat mismatched his own coloring. This is the last pair of bathing pants he bought and the only ones he genuinely liked without just buying them for the sake of shutting up all the conservative people.

But now that he had his pair, he could go to his pool in peace, with low risk of being turned in again. Rausis went down the stairs and out to his yard and stopped himself for a minute.

He took in a deep breath and spread his arms wide, enjoying the feel of the morning air as the wind carried it in slow motion. The peace he had today was impeccable, and he enjoyed each bit. Now that he felt more relaxed, he slowly went up a couple stairs to the platform where his pool was.

He climbed a ladder, and gently dipped himself in up to his belly, which was the height of the water. He embraced the feel of his toes and claws being covered in water and the wet feeling of his body being surrounded by the cool fluid, which filled the pool. Taking his bathing suit off and holding it in his hand for a bit, he slowly dipped himself further inside, his butt cheeks eventually kissing the bottom of a staircase as Rausis went up to his neck in water.

He closed his eyes and enjoyed the peace. He slowly lost track of time and let go of the bathing suit, unaware of where it'd end up. He just wanted to enjoy this one time alone, and hope that nothing could ruin it.

"Hey, what are you doing!?" An angry female voice yelled at him from a short distance. Rausis clenched his brows and slowly opened his eyes, slowly feeling the sting of disappointment that his heart felt when he saw the oversized body of the conservative spiked cobra.

Gulzuma was awfully fat, awfully well kept and just always being an awfully bad pain in the tail. Rausis felt like rattling his tail in a little frustration as he had to sit through and listen to her lecture once he replied.

"Relaxing? Enjoying life?" He said, arching a brow in an annoyed manner, not noticing that his tail was rattling somewhat viciously in the water. 'not being a conservative twat?' his mind added.

"Nobody should enjoy life going around in your hatchday suit like if you were some prostitute. Go get some clothes on or I'm going to call the police again and make sure you end up in jail." She scolded while giving an angry scowl. She turned around and walked away in her usual fine-ass stuck-up attitude, leaving the poor frake just flared up from the reaction.

It was worse than last time. She clearly wanted to get him in trouble even though he wasn't doing anything remotely wrong. 'how can I ever be happy with her around? I have no privacy' Rausis sighed and dipped himself underwater for as long as he could hold his breath to try to relax and not ever be disturbed again.

His anger didn't exactly diminish much; he was still bristled at how he was treated. He lost track of time again in the hopes that his internal ranting would stop eventually, even though the longest he recalls holding his breath was about five to ten minutes. Still, it didn't matter to him; he could always just take a breath and go back down silently. It was the good thing about being a half reptile - he didn't have to take breaths as much as other furs had to because his body is adapted to water.

Not to mention, a mix of cold and hot blood in his body helps him adapt to a lot of temperatures. The problem, however, he didn't find it as useful as another fur would, or at least he thought. His mind eventually wandered into appreciating his body and hoping that something big would happen.

Though something went 'tap tap tap' in his head as he was poked about a few times. He groaned angrily again, thinking that Gulzuma was already invading his property to tell him to get some clothes on.

Quickly, his head shot up, flaring his fangs as he began to yell "Gulzuma will you-!" He stopped his yelling as he raised himself to his full height. His fangs receded as he saw the beautiful shape of Leela just standing right on the other side of the pool.

And then he noticed: he was naked in front of one of his friends, who he didn't know how they'd react to this.

He started to blabber in a rush "Oh, wait I'm sorry, I just thought that Gulzuma - then you came, and then I thought that you - that she - that I'm very sorry about looking like this naked I just wanted to relax to-" he was interrupted by Leela slapping him in his cheek.

"Jeez, calm down, Rausis" she said in her sassy, dominant tone, holding her arms bent so her hands could press on her waist, providing a serious appearance.

"You know I'm not conservative, so sheesh, Rausis." Leela crossed her arms for a minute. Some short period later, she seemed to lose her tension "look, I need some help" she said, lightening up a little, but not enough to make Rausis feel comfortable. He quickly put his clothes on just in case, and began to listen.

"Okay, what kind of help?" He replied attentively, tilting his head and crossing his arms to keep his posture.

"Well, come follow me; it's better if I show you" she said and motioned for him to come.

Left no choice, Rausis shrugged and followed Leela. Rausis wondered if all snakes were just plain close minded, since Leela was not conservative, and as far as he knew, she was a black lizard who moved in from Kyptia.

And for someone that is truly cold blooded, she's got some warm looking fat right there and is much more warm hearted than a good amount of snakes in this neighborhood. Rausis couldn't wrap his head around this, so he stopped thinking about it for a minute.

Eventually, they reached Leela's home, which was somewhat close by in the same street, about a couple houses away, just across the street. It was very square-ish, with a triangular shaped roofing. The house was quite charming with the gentle coloring it had, but it wasn't as heavily decorated as some other houses here.

"Come inside" Leela said with a more welcoming voice than she had before. It seems that enough time has passed for her tension to go away, but Rausis still felt a little awkward.

Once he entered the house though, he felt even more awkward. Leela guided him in, but Rausis kept away as much as he could and hope he didn't intrude too much.

He also nervously scouted his surroundings. Their first room seemed like a living room. It had couches, a love seat and a television on the farther wall to the right, just hanging from it. More rooms were ahead of the door, but Rausis stayed immobile.

"Make yourself at home. Like, please" she welcomingly said, but then turned her usual serious voice as if telling Rausis to relax and be himself.

Reality was, he couldn't. His reply was quite clumsy "yeah, uh right, thanks", and his movements were a little off as he followed Leela. "Where?"

Leela sighed and signaled to him "here, come on" she said and quickly turned to the next room to the right.

Once he came into the room, he looked around, still feeling alien to this new environment. Being here was nothing like being in his house. Back there, he had his comfort and privacy, as well as knowing where everything was. Here, he was right beside one of his oldest friends. Regardless of her being of the better, more reliable friendships Rausis had, he still felt like he shouldn't exactly be himself here.

"So, what's wrong?" He stammered a little, still following Leela like a baby chick.

"Here" she tapped her computer, as it was showing some sort of blue screen. Of course, this was a gaming room. That explained all the awkward banners that show heroes, assassins, and a couple more light hearted posters that decorated the room, along with some figures on a shelf, and a few trophies. Is this what Leela dedicates her teenage years to?

"What's wrong with it?" Rausis said, somewhat absent minded. He sure felt like he was going back to his workplace, seeing the possible task that he was supposed to deal with.

"I don't know, what do you make of it?" She replied like if she was having expectations of him. It didn't help keep Rausis at comfort.

"Well, it's displaying a blue screen" he said, shrugging carefreely.

"Well, duh, but I was just browsing some sites and then this happened" Leela replied and tried moving the mouse around, but the system didn't exit the blue screen.

"Well, did you download anything?" Rausis went down and started reading the error messages and codes that were on screen, trying to understand the problem.

"No, nothing I can recall, I was just trying to look through some game forums and it just did that" she said and Rausis somewhat understands what happened now.

And of course, he'd have to leave it for another day because he didn't bring his computer and he didn't want to work today.

"Look" he stood up and put one hand on Leela's shoulder, looking at her sympathetically "it looks like someone just managed to attack your computer and leave it useless. I'll come tomorrow when the hacker hopefully left it alone to try and fix it" he said and quickly got hugged.

"Oh, thank you; don't worry, I'll pay you as soon as I see the computer working again" she said and hugged him body to body, giving Rausis a weird feel as their crotches were almost touching each other. The hug still felt normal, though.

"Thanks, Rausis! Can't wait to see you tomorrow!" Leela replied and Rausis waved back, barely seeing her body. Through his peripheral vision, Rausis thought he caught her rubbing her crotch as well. Quickly, he moved out of the house.

But tomorrow, he had to work now on some more serious work. He had to fight a virus through his own computer because the program left Leela's computer completely useless. To his luck, Leela's parents weren't around, so there wouldn't be much problem with having to do things tomorrow, since nobody would be constantly watching over both of them, even though he was just going to help Leela and nothing more.

After thinking for some bit about different ways to counter that virus, Rausis decided to ultimately charge about 250 furalls for the task. Furalls, being the national currency for Furries United Real Progression States (and more, aka FURPS+, or pronounced as Furplus), was not easy to earn, as he was paid only 14 furalls, only about four or so above the nation's minimum. It was going to be worth it though, as his job ain't as easy as just saying words to a computer so it obeys.

So instead, Rausis remained in his house, watching Furflix and taking a look at some flicks that appear on it. Eventually, he settled for watching Fap Furs For Life, which was the most recent iteration of the Fap Furs series. Then, as time went on, he went in his pool and enjoyed a good, cool day just being a cute, wet, furry snake.

Soon enough as he went to bed, he heard his smart phone ring, and quickly picked up. "Hello?" He said from the phone.

The call continued on; Leela's parents had given him a couple of notes to keep in mind when going to Leela's house, as if her conservative parents had no idea that Leela was not the lizard that Rausis thought they made her to be. Eventually, Rausis hung up, leaving with a reply "okay, I understand, I'll take good care of her tomorrow" he said and quickly hung up.

Rausis gave a sigh. Although his day was mostly relaxed, he was already feeling stressed about tomorrow. Being given a new burden on top of his task, those 250 furalls were not going to be any easier to earn than his 14 hourly ones.

//Solday morning//

The alarm clock Rausis set before getting to bed had been ringing furiously for quite a bit. He had no idea who he'd disturb today with the constant noise, but eventually, he just turned it off and began to get up.

Giving himself his personal grooming, he brushed his hair and gently handled his fur with care. He wanted to keep the patterns nice, clean and intact for the rest of his life, and as such, personal care was very important to him. When he finished brushing himself, he went to his closet just outside the bedroom and began putting some more formal clothes on, contrary to how he behaved yesterday.

The feeling of being naked was nice, and as such, Rausis picked some casual clothing instead of going super formal like if he was some overly civil ape. He put some underwear on with the shame of having to cover his sheath up, and then began to put his shirt on. Not thinking much about it, he put some pants on and forgot that he needed socks and footwear, so he decided to bring those down with him and then put them on while he cooked his french toast.

The morning was a little peaceful. Some cars and horns could be heard on the street, which only indicated that this was going to be a fairly busy Solday morning. Rausis's heart ached a little, but he had to do what was necessary to be able to pay his debts.

While he sat down in the dining room, he remembered how he reacted upon Leela hugging him. Consecutively, he also remembered one note that Leela's parents had left Rausis to take care of, which was to keep an eye on Leela's shenanigans. He had very minimal idea of what that meant, but it only foreshadowed a million possibilities of what weird stuff Leela could do, considering how much she trusted him (despite slapping his face every time he does something dumb).

Pretending to be ignorant, he ate his breakfast in peace and remained pacifically sitting in his table, looking out the window that showed his back yard.

It was planted neatly with a couple of fruit trees: snekberries, apples, oranges, dragonfruit, peaches, and a couple grape plants that made a light canopy with its branches and leaves. It was still summer, so the temperatures were still adequate for the trees to stay out in the open.

Rausis closed his eyes and relaxes, leaving out a breath of air to move out of his lungs peacefully. He enjoyed the peace and quiet before he had to go over to Leela's house.

Although for him, the peace didn't last long, because soon enough there was someone knocking on the door.

"Rausis? Are you in there?" He heard Leela call from outside. Rausis sighed.

"Let's get this show on the road" he said to himself and put his plate on the sink, giving it a gentle wash before attending to Leela, who was knocking and calling again as if she was being ditched.

"I'm ready" he said after opening the door "let's go"

"Great!" Leela said and quickly grabbed his arm and tugged him along "I called mommy and daddy to tell them what happened and they told me you have to babysit-" she stopped for a moment, turning back to see Rausis calmly locking the door and putting his two hands in his pockets.

"You said something?" Rausis gave a slight smike, looking innocently at Leela.

"You're going to babysit me for today" Leela smiled. Rausis at least didn't have to take this unexpectedly. He already knew with yesterday's call that her parents would lose confidence in her when they knew about the computer, as if she could basically ravage the house on her own.

"Why? You're basically 15 now" Rausis replied, still looking somewhat calm and resigned.

"My parents don't trust me to take care of the house, after I told them about what happened to my computer" she said, somewhat changing her expression to match discontent and shame.

And of course, a mental 'told ya, Rausis' followed in his mind as soon as he heard his assumption confirmed. He didn't make any remark of it, though. "Well that's silly" he replied and Leela began tugging him again, this time with both hands. Rausis just followed her and got by her side so he wasn't dragged to the ground.

"I know, but hey, that means we get to have a sleepover!" She said excitedly, quickly turning away "if you want".

"I wouldn't mind" he said somewhat relaxed. He didn't care much about sleeping with someone else, as long as there was no mention of having sex with a female.

While his rational side would argue that he wasn't ready to risk fertilizing an egg, there was another side that would occasionally argue against that.

"Yeah, but first things first, I need you to fix that computer. Did you bring everything you need?" She asked, and quickly Rausis realized he did something stupid.

"Aw, crud, I'll be right back" he said and quickly let go of her to go back to the house. He unlocked the front door, and as soon as he went in, he went out with a small suitcase and his phone. He locked the door again and this time joined Leela a little more encouraged fully prepared "now I'm ready"

"Well, good, let's go!" She said and quickly dragged him forwards.

Soon at the house, the two were already inside getting comfortable in the gaming room. Rausis placed his phone on the left side while on the right he placed and turned on his now opened computer. Leela relaxed on the bean bag playing on the Fintendo Witch while Rausis looked at her collection of Fintendo consoles as his computer loaded up.

There were a few consoles of the same type in her displays, such as the Fintendo GameSphere and the Fintendo Woo, but if Rausis recalled correctly, she didn't seem to show any signs of owning the Fintendo Woo Huu or the original Fintendo Entertainment Systems.

"Hey, do you know about the Woo Hoo?" Rausis asked, his computer still loading a few more things.

"Not really. Is that some kind of Woo add-on?" She asked, tilting her head.

"No, if I recall correctly, it was the next console after Fintendo Woo" he replied, still shifting his eyes to focus on both Leela and his computer, all the while the dead blue screen displayed on the computer he had to fix.

"Oh... I didn't know about that..." she said, somewhat disconcerted.

"Yeah, do you know about the console war too? Seems like you might know quite a bit about video games" he said, signalling to the game room.

"Ah, yeah, but mostly about the games I play. I don't really care about the console war between mini boner and tooty" she gave a dismissive motion to the topic, as if she didn't care about it. Rausis had to admit though, it was kind of funny how she referred to the other two companies ruling the console industry.

"Yeah" he stuttered "but they're called Tony and Microhard, not sexy and dimdum" he said, arching his brow kind of playfully.

Leela gave a laugh in response, giving another motion with a different attitude "oh, Rausis" she said affectionately.

Rausis blushed a little and turned himself to the computer, which was already loaded. "Awesome, it's lewded up" he said and quickly shut himself up when he heard himself "I mean loaded" he said, tapping his head as if to wake him up.

He tried to ignore the laugh Leela gave afterwards, feeling quite sheepish for himself. He focused progressively more on the computer and started connecting the two systems up. His computer had the programs needed ready, and the other one already was already ready to appear in Rausis's interface.

As soon as code began to pop in the screen, Rausis got hard at work. He began to scope out the problem that caused Leela's computer to malfunction, and some unknown amount of time after, he found out the problem.

Although at this point now, he was as hot and sweaty as if it were midday, so he had to turn around and ask "Leela, do you mind if I take off my clothes?" He said, hoping to not sound lewd.

"No, I don't mind. Do you need anything?" She said, still looking intently at her Witch.

"Just some water" he said and turned around, not really paying attention whether Leela went to look for water or not. He just took off all his clothing, including his underwear, feeling glad that he was finally free. It seems that being in this busy, not-being-watched or harassed ambience made him get used to things and warm up to being nude again, which was a relief for Rausis.

As he continued the battle, Rausis began to furiously type code with each one of his clawed fingers. He was impressively fast at this, yet the task was nothing short of easy.

"Here you-" Rausis heard Leela say and stop right in her tracks.

"Oh, uh thank you-" Rausis stopped himself as he saw Leela in a frozen, astonished state. If Rausis didn't know any better, he couldn't say that she'd blush if it weren't for her scales.

Although that thought was immediately corrected when he saw some rose coloring in her face, which seems to take out that fact. Did Rausis think all this time that she was scaly and was instead having a different type of hide?

Well, apparently, yes. For a long moment, the two looked at each other and Rausis somewhat got a point.

"I guess I'll put my clothes back on" he said and started picking up his underwear from the floor, but he felt something touch his shoulder.

"No, don't, I just overreacted" Leela said and left the water quickly on the desk and discretely lied down on the bean bag again, looking intently at her Witch once more.

'that was weird' he thought for a moment. He believed that Leela actually was aware that he took his clothes off by now, but somehow, the look on her face seemed to put that in denial.

If anything, he remained a little dazed thinking about it, with only the alarm of his computer snapping him out of it.

"What's wrong?" Leela called from behind.

"Nothing" Rausis dismissed without even looking at her. He felt stupid now that he realized he remained a whole bit of time just wondering about Leela's complete change in behavior.

Trying to focus on the computer, he ignored a couple vibrations his phone had given him while he worked. The fight was tough, but he was already finishing to put together a code that will shut down the virus and hopefully reset Leela's computer to its last save state. The problem is, what would doing this undo for Leela?

Well, so far Leela didn't seem to care much about what she'd lose if her computer was fixed. On another note, it could be possible that she was the kind of person that had just a minimal idea of how computers worked.

Soon enough, though, Leela's computer shut down, which means that he managed to deliver the algorithm successfully. Now all he had to do is wait until the final bit of code that he implemented for the sake of the computer rebooting automatically played, and Leela's computer would restart.

Now, changing the mindset and hoping to make things right again, he turned over and looked at Leela, who was absent minded playing on the Witch. He took a deep breath and tried to brace himself for any impact he might get for doing this.

"Leela?" He called out in a soft tone.

The lizard only looked up, as if trying to avoid him.

"Look, I'm sorry about what happened, I know we rarely see each other naked and I shouldn't have just taken my clothes off like that" he said, pretending like he didn't ask for permission first.

"No, it was my fault... I wasn't just..." she drifted off. Rausis could catch Leela's eyes moving around anxiously, even though the lizard was pretending to play her console.

Rausis tipped his head a little, but eventually looked elsewhere; namely his clothes. He felt regret to selfishly taking his clothes off so he didn't feel as hot and sweaty as he was with them. He now wondered if he had messed up before even starting to 'take care' of Leela like her parents wanted to.

Looking back at the black lizard, Rausis heard some sort of stuttered response.

"I just like you" she whispered. Rausis couldn't exactly catch correctly what she was saying so he leaned in a little.

"What?" He said softly, trying to not create any tension.

"Rausis..." Leela said and put down her console. She sighed for a moment before straight up looking at Rausis "I like you, you're nice, you're pretty... and I just feel awkward seeing you naked..." Leela said and Rausis felt like there was some sort of misinformation going on. Although he could understand where she was coming from, he didn't exactly feel comfortable with where he felt this was going.

"Sex isn't love" he said calmly, looking away a little in fear of Leela's wrath.

For a short amount of time, there was no response, but abruptly, arms wrapped around his shoulders and a head leaned on to him.

"I don't care... you're my friend anyways, and I like you for who you are" she said and remained in the same state, rubbing her head a little with him to caress him.

Rausis was beginning to feel off. This wasn't even intentionally lewd, but he felt his sheath open up a bit with his penis pushing out. However, a beeping broke his head off the concentration of fear he already had. The two looked at Leela's computer, which was already at the password screen, waiting for Leela to put her password in.

"I guess it's fixed" Rausis said, trying to distract his somewhat erotic mind, hoping nobody watched.

"I guess... how much?" She asked, letting go of him and looking awkward.

"Just 250" he replied, looking at the computers absent mindedly.

He thought he faintly heard Leela's footsteps go up, but remained there silently. He wasn't sure what to do now. His penis was halfway there in it's pinkish demeanor, but he didn't feel like he had complete privacy, or any sort of safety regardless of what happens here.

"Look, even if we tried, I don't feel safe... if we try it now, our neighbors might find out and tell your parents anyway. You get an egg, and what will your parents say?" He said, feeling like this was only half of all the risks this would have, but those are just the ones that he most worried about.

"Oh" she said, seeming disappointed.

"I'm sorry, Leela, I'd love to, but I don't feel safe here, or anywhere I might know" he said and started getting dressed, ignoring his dick indignantly prodding in desires.

"It's alright... I suppose maybe later" she said, somewhat disconcerted, but another thought echoed in Rausis's head to complete that.

'in three or more years you mean' he added in his mind as he began to pull up his pants. Soon enough, he was working on getting his equipment ready for putting in the suitcase, and did as so in a short amount of time.

As soon as he had his suitcase in his hand, he started heading out, bidding farewell for Leela "see you tomorrow after work, Leela, I guess" he said somewhat somber and unmotivated. When he turned around, he heard Leela call out again.

"Wait, Rausis" she said and as soon as Rausis turned over to listen, he felt lips lock on to his, remaining for a small bit before letting go. "Don't do anything stupid" she said, winking a little.

"You too" Rausis smiled somewhat weakly, heading out and back to his house.

After a day hard at work, Rausis was glad to be back in his house, alone and naked. The air seemed to be stiff now at the time, and the place seemed to just stay silent, as if time just stopped after it became night time.

Melancholy covered the ambience, somber and gray, as Rausis finished the day by setting the alarm clock again and lying down in his bed.
