You have been warned!)[/b]\nAct 17: Those Left Behind\n\nThings have certainly been getting a lot busier behind the scenes after the Four Eyes guild has established contact with the Avali. With their schemes having taken a leap, most of Stic's most trusted aces are having to keep a closer eye on the nobles of sandstone in case they start looking their way at such a critical time. One of these aces, Luca the Lucario, just got done with a mission of taking out a small band of bandits that pissed off a noble, he doesn't quite remember the reason why, maybe they harassed a relative or something. Right now he just wants to take a break sitting behind this tall stone that is providing some shade from the sun.\n\n\"Wow, is it always this hot on this planet?\" Someone besides Luca groans in a female voice. Luca is reminded of his current company. To most, she appears an oddly colored Hawlucha. However, he knows the truth: this is his new 'partner.' Assigned to him once the dealings with the Avali started in earnest: An Avali named Ranii.\n\n\n\"I heard about colder places.\" He says, giving a side glance to his partner. 'But when the sun sets it gets very cold at night. Is it too hot for you here?\"\n\n\"Well, we 'vali are from an iceball world, so, yeah, it kind of is.\" She says, sighing. She leans back on the rock, putting one foot on the sands and one foot on the rock behind her, folding her arms in front of her. \"Seriously, it's only thanks to the nanites that I haven't evaporated into thin air.\" She sighs. \"Ah well, what can you do?\" She takes a look at her signature weapon, a large spear. \n\n\"At least the bandits were easy to take care of, no?\"\n\n\"Yeah.\" He nods. Thinking back on how that fight was, he decides to give her a compliment. \"You fight well.\" \nLuca then starts feeling some eerie sensation in his aura sense, it's very different but...a little bit familiar in 'shape'. \"Hhhmmm...\"\n\n\"Heh, thanks big guy. You aren't so bad yourself\" She says back, not really looking at him though as she looks up at the clouds. \"You know, it feels a little odd running around in the buff like this. In most societies I've been to, people would run my feathery butt right out of town or even off the planet for 'streaking' like this. Yet here, you look out of place if you ARE wearing clothes.\" \nHowever, upon hearing him she changes the subject. \n\"Hmm?\" She answers back. \"Wait, do you hear that?\"\n\n\"No, but I feel it. It's a pokemon and...something else that is not a pokemon.\" The blue canine guys up on his feet. \"We must go take a look.\" With that he begins walking around the rock they were sitting at, these aura signatures are coming from the direction just beyond it.\n\n\"You can 'feel' it?\" Ranii questions, before quickly muttering to herself. \"Oh, yeah. Aura thing. I 'keep' forgetting.\" She takes out some sort of horseshoe object from seemingly nowhere, and soon her spear disappears 'inside' of it. She follows Luca shortly after.\n\nIt only takes some walking to get there, just a little over some dunes of sand. They see the sight of what appears to be a bipedal rabbit-like Pokémon with dark brown fur and a short, round tail. It also has fluffy cream colored fur on other parts of its body, like the tufts of above its eyes, at the end of it's long ears, wrists and lower legs. This pokemon seems to be on all fours, and has it's back turned to them. \nLuca can recognize what pokemon that is, although certainly bigger than he expected, and he can tell that it is a female because the view between her legs leaves nothing to hide. \"...hhhmmm, what is she...doing?\"\n\nRanii squints as she looks at the rabbit in the distance. Looking at the rabbit. She rolls her eyes as she sees Luca looking at her in this... rather compromising position. \n\"Please tell me your aura did not just remove us from that nice shady spot just so you could see some Lopunny's pussy.\" She grumbles a bit. \"I did get that right, right?\" She whispers under her breath, still not 100% familiar with all the pokemon around.\n\nHe sighs. \"There would be no point in even seeing it anyways.\" After all, it's not like he can ever taste sexual pleasure. \"But yes you spelled it right.\" Luca decides to get this over with and approaches the Lopunny. However he does remember that there were two aura signatures, this rabbit is but one of them. \nOne closer inspection it would see that this Lopunny is masturbating, one her paw is down between her legs, she is clearly touching herself. \nThe Lucario never could figure out WHY some people can be so sexually active, he almost always never heard anything good about such pokémon. \"Hey you...\" \nThere is a sudden movement from the rabbit, she jumps forward and away from him before turning around to look at him, all the while still in a stance that mimics that of a quadrupeds, that's some flexibility. \n\"Ooooh ohoh! Although, it's not like she was interested in that or anything, and certainly not with her. Whoever she is.\n\"No, we are not 'checking you out'. Or at least, I'm definitely not. It just seems like my partner's 'Aura-'o-Meter needs to have a horny filter on it.\" She says with a bit of indignity. \nShe is just about to tell him that this is pointless and to get on with their business, but then she remembers. \n\"Wait... didn't you say there was something else?\" She asks her partner. \"A Not-pokemon?\"\nOnce she gets her answer, she turns towards the Lopunny\n\"We'll let you get back to... your business. Just as soon as you answer this one question: Have you seen... anything out of the ordinary around here, madam?\"\n\nThe Lopunny smiles at the Avali. \"What is 'ordinary' really?~\"\n\"Yeah...\" The Lucario points to a sand dune nearby. \"You there, stop hiding.\" He says.\nTurns out there was someone hiding there in plain sight thanks to a piece of cloth that blended with the desert's sand, from there emerges a human dressed from head to toe in some sort of dark blue sneaking suit, with his face covered by some sort of mask that just has his eyes visible. He has some visible weapons on his person too, which seems to be a set of thick wooden tonfa he carries on his belt. \"...It was to be expected from an Aura Pokémon.\" The mysterious man said, crossing his arms.\n\n\"Don't get philosophical with me, lady.\" Ranii says.\nRanii looks over at the person.\n\"Scans like a human.\" She says. \"Okay human, who are you with? You're obviously not from the occassus, wrong colors for that.\" \n\"Not to mention they're all dead anyway.\" She mutters under her breath.\n\"Not USCM, same reason. Knightfall remnants? Ex-Protectorate? No, not really their style...\"\nIt seems they have both completely forgotten about the silly lopunny.\n\n\"Neither. I came from farther away, like the human who was here before me recently.\"\nLuca knows who he is talking about, it can only be Joshua. \"Hhhhmm, I see.\"\nSaid silly Lopunny being ignored just scrambled over to the Lucario, putting her face against his groin and sniffing it, it was short lived of course because of course such a contact would make him act immediately.\n\"HEY!\" He shouted and was about to slap her away but she quickly jumped back.\nThe rabbit seems to have a mixture of anger and disgust in her expression now. \"You don't have balls!\"\n\n\"Wait... what?\" Ranii asks, confused. It seems she was not briefed nor told about this. \"You don't have-\"\nShe shakes her head, that line of questioning will have to wait till later.\n\"Keep your paws and nose to yourself, Lady.\" Ranii growls, then turns back to the human.\n\"Anyway, go on. What's your business here, and what do you mean 'human who was here before you recently?'\"\n\nThe Lopunny sticks her tongue out at them, accidentally gets sand on her tongue and begins spitting repeatedly to get it off.\n \"The Avali are here to help this world, are they not?\" The man says. \"A fellow human was sent here to assist with that...covertly, and by association that is also my mission.\"\nSo they are here to help...but how? But there is still something Luca doesn't understand. \"Then what about her?\" He points to the Lopunny.\n\"She was not supposed to be here, but she came anyway. I'm trying to make the best out of this situation, so I had the idea of her being eyes and ears on this place called 'Sandstone' or any other settlement.\"\n\n\"Seems like she's more interested in... other activities.\" Ranii comments, raising an eyebrow. \"is it mating season or something?!\"\n\n\"She can be a wild card, yes.\"\nLuca is keeping an eye on her still. \"So tell us, human, the answer that this rabbit did not give to us, if you are with her you must know what she knows...\"\nShe frowns. \"Come on don't tell them, i can tell them! but here is the deal.\" She looks to the Avali and begins speaking...sultry. \"You and i, girl~ it's ALWAYS mating season with me!~ What do you say we-\"\n\"There has been the movement of a great number of pokémon heading this way, all of them bearing weapons made from the material you call 'iron'.\" The human says. \"I can make an educated guess that they shall arrive tomorrow.\"\nWell, then the rabbit has no more to bargain with to get anything lewd from these two. \"...Party pooper...\"\n\n\"That sounds like an army.\" Ranii says. \"Headed for Sandstone?!\"\nShe turns towards Luca.\n\"This is bad. Come on!\" Without any further ado he turns around and runs off, he is going to go straight for the Four Eyes guild to report this news. \n\nRanii turns to the human and Lopunny. \n\"You'd best come with, human. And... I suppose you can have her with you too, just make sure to keep her on a short leash.\"\nShe then turns and quickly follows after Luca.\n\nAs they leave, the human jumps from that sand dune, landing close to the Lopunny. \"...\"\nThe rabbit looks up at him. \"Well, she said I could come along, how about that? She said i could come along~\" She sure that is what he wants, and she knows he still needs her.\n\"Before that, you are going to have to start walking like a normal person.\"\nShe smirks. \"Alright~\" The Lopunny gets herself up, standing on her two feet rather than on all fours...towering over the smaller human as his head is just up to her thorax.\n---- \nWith haste Luca and Ranii arrive at the guild, the Whimsicott quickly stepped aside when he saw them coming in such a hurry, wondering what must have happened for the two of them to be in such a rush.\n\n\"HiWhimsyNoTimeToChatBye\" Ranii quickly says to the Whimsicott guard as she rushes past. Normally she'd give him a nice little chat up, or at least a warmer greeting, but this is an emergency.\n\nThey get to the headmaster's chamber, there is Stic looking over a map on that is upon his table, but he did noticed them coming in. \"Hhhhmm? Is something the matter?\"\n\"Guildmaster Stic!\" Luca began, going straight for the point. \"There is an army marching towards Sandstone, they are going to arrive tomorrow!\"\nNow the cat looks up at them, his ears raised in surprise revealing his other set of eyes. \"...What?\"\n\n\"Also we ran into another human.\" Ranii adds. \"In fact, that's how we learned of this.\"\n\n\"I see...\" Stic approaches them. \"Is there any other information to add? How many mons strong is that army? Where are they from?\"\n\"I'm afraid we don't know much beyond this, Guildmaster.\" The Lucario sighs.\n\"That's alright, there might still be some time for us to find out some more...and come to a decision of what to do with this information...\" He turns to that machine sitting on the corner that was left here by the previous Avalis that visited last time.\n\n\"I'm afraid we don't have an identity on this army, As we didn't see it personally.\" Ranii laments. \"We did tell that human to come with us, but...\" She looks behind her and sees nothing. \"it doesn't look like they came.\"\nThe machine flickers on, and the familiar hologram of the councilor appears. \n\"Ah, Stic. Hello again. Something to report?\" She asks.\n\n\"On the contrary...\" The Lucario looks to Ranii, deciding to whisper to her while the guildmaster is busy talking with the councilor. \"He did followed us, it appears like he is sneaking...but i'm not sure about the other one\"\n\"Yes, there is quite the predicament about to befall Sandstone.\" He speaks. \"There is an army marching towards it, as we speak, they will arrive tomorrow.\"\n\n\"Oh.\" Ranii whispers back, just now hearing the human's heartbeat. \n\"Oh... that's not good.\" Khaako replies. \"Well, first things first. What kind of army are we talking about here? Native army? Or something else?\"\n\"Native army.\" Ranii replies. \"At least, that's what our source told us.\"\n\"Okay, so we aren't dealing with a miniknog invasion or a floran hunt here. That's good, at least... Next question, are you and your guild in any sort of real danger, Stic?\"\n\nThe feline thinks for a moment. \"At first sight, no, the nobles might want us to put ourselves in the line of fire if they Sandstone is a going to get attacked however...but what i worry the most is what these invaders would want to begin with, at best it could be the grove coming to intimidate the nobles, at worst their intentions are far more bloody.\"\n\n\"And I can only assume there are no standard rules of warfare akin to Galactic Law or the Kentaries 3 Conventions or even the ancient Terran Geneva Rules that protect civilians from war crimes, right?\"\n\nHe gives a solemn nod to that. \"Yes, indeed. There are no such things, unfortunately.\"\n\n\"Hmmm\" Khaako puts a talon to her chin. \"I see the problem. If we intervene and act, it'll risk exposing us, and undoing everything we've worked hard to achieve. If we do not, we're talking about a massacare and/or a mass rape situation.\"\n\"Should we scout the force first?\" Ranii suggests. \"Maybe send a cloaked drone over there to see what's going on?\"\n\"Yes, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it?\" Khaako replies. \"Alright, we're sending one now, it should arrive momentarily to check on them.\"\n\nThen at the moment all there is to do is wait, and wager the possibilities of what might happen if a fight is indeed to occur. \"Alright then, I will look into measures to evacuate the people safely if it comes to the worst.\"\nLuca can see the human silently stepping through the entrance to the headmaster's chamber. \"It looks like he found his way in here.\"\n\n\"Ah, there you are.\" Ranii chirps as she turns around to face the human. \"I was beginning to think you had gotten lost on your way here, or didn't bother to come in the first place.\"\n\n\"Huh?\" The Guildmaster turns around and sees this new individual there by the entrance. \"Who are you?\" He guesses it's some sort of Intruder but Ranii and Luca aren't reacting to it.\n\"This is that human that we mentioned.\" The Lucario explains to him.\n\n\"And he had a Lopunny with him but... I'm not really seeing her anywhere.\" Ranii comments. \n\"Probably for the better.\" She adds under her breath.\n\n\"Well then, Human...\" The Meowstic steps closer to this person, looking up at them. \"Why are you here? Is there some...prophecy for you to fulfill?\" Why else would a human be here after all?\n\"No, there are no such things as prophecies...It is the Avali who are going to help this world. However, there will be aid for them and you, but it doesn't have to be noticed.\" He explains.\nThis is...certainly some way that this human wants to help, it's cryptic but Stic can understand it somewhat. \"Hhhmmm...so you do not want to help direct, but merely assist...How and why?\"\n\"There are things left undiscovered thanks to the rise of iron, that and more can help provide some unseen aid. It will be merely assistance because humans have done enough, there is no need for the world to know of our involvement in this.\"\n\n\"I... see.\" Ranii says. She doesn't quite get this human's stance herself, but decides now is not really the time to question it.\n\"The drone seems to have arrived.\" Khaako says as the hologram of Khaako disappears, replaced with images of an army being viewed from some distance away. The hologram is now big enough to engulf the entire room. \nThe view zooms in, and the words \"AUDIO ENHANCEMENT ENGAGED\" pop up on the screen, indicating the drone is seeing this from very very far away. There are tons of mons of different types, plant types mostly along with some others. \nRanii notices something of particular interest: two mons walking in a conversation. \"Zoom in on that location\"\nIt zooms in on the pair, a Skiddo and a Treeko. Both wearing citizen badges, like all the rest, but also something else. The former has a spear and is using it like a walking stick as they walk and talk.\n\"Our intelligence reports the town is poorly defended, General. It should fall quickly.\" The Treeko says. \"The nobles who lord over the town have not upped the defenses in some time. The fools know not what awaits them.\"\n\"And the guilds?\" The Skiddo asks.\n\"The Sandstone guild has already sworn fealty.\" The Treeko responds. \"They know which way the vines are growing. "Seriously, it's only thanks to the nanites that I haven't evaporated into thin air." She sighs. "Ah well, what can you do?" She takes a look at her signature weapon, a large spear.

"At least the bandits were easy to take care of, no?"

"Yeah." He nods. Thinking back on how that fight was, he decides to give her a compliment. "You fight well."
Luca then starts feeling some eerie sensation in his aura sense, it's very different but...a little bit familiar in 'shape'. "Hhhmmm..."

"Heh, thanks big guy. You aren't so bad yourself" She says back, not really looking at him though as she looks up at the clouds. "You know, it feels a little odd running around in the buff like this. In most societies I've been to, people would run my feathery butt right out of town or even off the planet for 'streaking' like this. Yet here, you look out of place if you ARE wearing clothes."
However, upon hearing him she changes the subject.
"Hmm?" She answers back. "Wait, do you hear that?"

"No, but I feel it. It's a pokemon and...something else that is not a pokemon." The blue canine guys up on his feet. "We must go take a look." With that he begins walking around the rock they were sitting at, these aura signatures are coming from the direction just beyond it.

"You can 'feel' it?" Ranii questions, before quickly muttering to herself. "Oh, yeah. Aura thing. I 'keep' forgetting." She takes out some sort of horseshoe object from seemingly nowhere, and soon her spear disappears 'inside' of it. She follows Luca shortly after.

It only takes some walking to get there, just a little over some dunes of sand. They see the sight of what appears to be a bipedal rabbit-like Pokémon with dark brown fur and a short, round tail. It also has fluffy cream colored fur on other parts of its body, like the tufts of above its eyes, at the end of it's long ears, wrists and lower legs. This pokemon seems to be on all fours, and has it's back turned to them.
Luca can recognize what pokemon that is, although certainly bigger than he expected, and he can tell that it is a female because the view between her legs leaves nothing to hide. "...hhhmmm, what is she...doing?"

Ranii squints as she looks at the rabbit in the distance. Looking at the rabbit. She rolls her eyes as she sees Luca looking at her in this... rather compromising position.
"Please tell me your aura did not just remove us from that nice shady spot just so you could see some Lopunny's pussy." She grumbles a bit. "I did get that right, right?" She whispers under her breath, still not 100% familiar with all the pokemon around.

He sighs. "There would be no point in even seeing it anyways." After all, it's not like he can ever taste sexual pleasure. "But yes you spelled it right." Luca decides to get this over with and approaches the Lopunny. However he does remember that there were two aura signatures, this rabbit is but one of them.

"Wait... didn't you say there was something else?" She asks her partner. "A Not-pokemon?"

"We'll let you get back to... your business. Just as soon as you answer this one question: Have you seen... anything out of the ordinary around here, madam?"

The Lopunny smiles at the Avali. "What is 'ordinary' really?~"
"Yeah..." The Lucario points to a sand dune nearby. "You there, stop hiding." He says.
Turns out there was someone hiding there in plain sight thanks to a piece of cloth that blended with the desert's sand, from there emerges a human dressed from head to toe in some sort of dark blue sneaking suit, with his face covered by some sort of mask that just has his eyes visible. He has some visible weapons on his person too, which seems to be a set of thick wooden tonfa he carries on his belt. "...It was to be expected from an Aura Pokémon." The mysterious man said, crossing his arms.

"Don't get philosophical with me, lady." Ranii says.
Ranii looks over at the person.
"Scans like a human." She says.  "Okay human, who are you with? You're obviously not from the occassus, wrong colors for that."
"Not to mention they're all dead anyway." She mutters under her breath.
"Not USCM, same reason. Knightfall remnants? Ex-Protectorate? No, not really their style..."
It seems they have both completely forgotten about the silly lopunny.

"Neither. I came from farther away, like the human who was here before me recently."
Luca knows who he is talking about, it can only be Joshua. "Hhhhmm, I see."
Said silly Lopunny being ignored just scrambled over to the Lucario, putting her face against his groin and sniffing it, it was short lived of course because of course such a contact would make him act immediately.
"HEY!" He shouted and was about to slap her away but she quickly jumped back.
The rabbit seems to have a mixture of anger and disgust in her expression now. "You don't have balls!"

"Wait... what?" Ranii asks, confused. It seems she was not briefed nor told about this. "You don't have-"
She shakes her head, that line of questioning will have to wait till later.
"Keep your paws and nose to yourself, Lady." Ranii growls, then turns back to the human.
"Anyway, go on. What's your business here, and what do you mean 'human who was here before you recently?'"

The Lopunny sticks her tongue out at them, accidentally gets sand on her tongue and begins spitting repeatedly to get it off.
 "The Avali are here to help this world, are they not?" The man says. "A fellow human was sent here to assist with that...covertly, and by association that is also my mission."
So they are here to help...but how? But there is still something Luca doesn't understand. "Then what about her?" He points to the Lopunny.
"She was not supposed to be here, but she came anyway. I'm trying to make the best out of this situation, so I had the idea of her being eyes and ears on this place called 'Sandstone' or any other settlement."

"Seems like she's more interested in... other activities." Ranii comments, raising an eyebrow. "is it mating season or something?!"

"She can be a wild card, yes."
Luca is keeping an eye on her still. "So tell us, human, the answer that this rabbit did not give to us, if you are with her you must know what she knows..."
She frowns. "Come on don't tell them, i can tell them! but here is the deal." She looks to the Avali and begins speaking...sultry. "You and i, girl~ it's ALWAYS mating season with me!~ What do you say we-"
"There has been the movement of a great number of pokémon heading this way, all of them bearing weapons made from the material you call 'iron'." The human says. "I can make an educated guess that they shall arrive tomorrow."

"That sounds like an army." Ranii says. "Headed for Sandstone?!"
She turns towards Luca.
"This is bad. We need to inform the guildmaster... and the councilor."
Ranii once again ignores the lewd bunny, as she now has MUCH more important things to worry about.

Luca grits his teeth. An army heading for Sandstone? What could be the reason? He can start looking into that after he tells the guildmaster about this news. "Yes, yes we have. Come on!" Without any further ado he turns around and runs off, he is going to go straight for the Four Eyes guild to report this news.

Ranii turns to the human and Lopunny.
"You'd best come with, human. And... I suppose you can have her with you too, just make sure to keep her on a short leash."
She then turns and quickly follows after Luca.

As they leave, the human jumps from that sand dune, landing close to the Lopunny. "..."
The rabbit looks up at him. "Well, she said I could come along, how about that? She said i could come along~" She sure that is what he wants, and she knows he still needs her.
"Before that, you are going to have to start walking like a normal person."
She smirks. "Alright~" The Lopunny gets herself up, standing on her two feet rather than on all fours...towering over the smaller human as his head is just up to her thorax.

With haste Luca and Ranii arrive at the guild, the Whimsicott quickly stepped aside when he saw them coming in such a hurry, wondering what must have happened for the two of them to be in such a rush.

"HiWhimsyNoTimeToChatBye" Ranii quickly says to the Whimsicott guard as she rushes past. Normally she'd give him a nice little chat up, or at least a warmer greeting, but this is an emergency.

They get to the headmaster's chamber, there is Stic looking over a map on that is upon his table, but he did noticed them coming in. "Hhhhmm? Is something the matter?"
"Guildmaster Stic!" Luca began, going straight for the point. "There is an army marching towards Sandstone, they are going to arrive tomorrow!"
Now the cat looks up at them, his ears raised in surprise revealing his other set of eyes. "...What?"

"Also we ran into another human." Ranii adds. "In fact, that's how we learned of this."

"I see..." Stic approaches them. "Is there any other information to add? How many mons strong is that army? Where are they from?"
"I'm afraid we don't know much beyond this, Guildmaster." The Lucario sighs.
"That's alright, there might still be some time for us to find out some more...and come to a decision of what to do with this information..." He turns to that machine sitting on the corner that was left here by the previous Avalis that visited last time.

"I'm afraid we don't have an identity on this army, As we didn't see it personally." Ranii laments. "We did tell that human to come with us, but..." She looks behind her and sees nothing. "it doesn't look like they came."
The machine flickers on, and the familiar hologram of the councilor appears.
"Ah, Stic. Hello again. Something to report?" She asks.

"On the contrary..." The Lucario looks to Ranii, deciding to whisper to her while the guildmaster is busy talking with the councilor. "He did followed us, it appears like he is sneaking...but i'm not sure about the other one"
"Yes, there is quite the predicament about to befall Sandstone." He speaks. "There is an army marching towards it, as we speak, they will arrive tomorrow."

"Oh." Ranii whispers back, just now hearing the human's heartbeat.
"Oh... that's not good." Khaako replies. "Well, first things first. What kind of army are we talking about here? Native army? Or something else?"
"Native army." Ranii replies. "At least, that's what our source told us."
"Okay, so we aren't dealing with a miniknog invasion or a floran hunt here. That's good, at least... Next question, are you and your guild in any sort of real danger, Stic?"

The feline thinks for a moment. "At first sight, no, the nobles might want us to put ourselves in the line of fire if they Sandstone is a going to get attacked however...but what i worry the most is what these invaders would want to begin with, at best it could be the grove coming to intimidate the nobles, at worst their intentions are far more bloody."

"And I can only assume there are no standard rules of warfare akin to Galactic Law or the Kentaries 3 Conventions or even the ancient Terran Geneva Rules that protect civilians from war crimes, right?"

He gives a solemn nod to that. "Yes, indeed. There are no such things, unfortunately."

"Hmmm" Khaako puts a talon to her chin. "I see the problem. If we intervene and act, it'll risk exposing us, and undoing everything we've worked hard to achieve. If we do not, we're talking about a massacare and/or a mass rape situation."
"Should we scout the force first?" Ranii suggests. "Maybe send a cloaked drone over there to see what's going on?"
"Yes, that would be a good idea, wouldn't it?" Khaako replies. "Alright, we're sending one now, it should arrive momentarily to check on them."

Then at the moment all there is to do is wait, and wager the possibilities of what might happen if a fight is indeed to occur. "Alright then, I will look into measures to evacuate the people safely if it comes to the worst."
Luca can see the human silently stepping through the entrance to the headmaster's chamber. "It looks like he found his way in here."

"Ah, there you are." Ranii chirps as she turns around to face the human. "I was beginning to think you had gotten lost on your way here, or didn't bother to come in the first place."

"Huh?" The Guildmaster turns around and sees this new individual there by the entrance. "Who are you?" He guesses it's some sort of Intruder but Ranii and Luca aren't reacting to it.
"This is that human that we mentioned." The Lucario explains to him.

"And he had a Lopunny with him but... I'm not really seeing her anywhere." Ranii comments.
"Probably for the better." She adds under her breath.

"Well then, Human..." The Meowstic steps closer to this person, looking up at them. "Why are you here? Is there some...prophecy for you to fulfill?" Why else would a human be here after all?
"No, there are no such things as prophecies...It is the Avali who are going to help this world. However, there will be aid for them and you, but it doesn't have to be noticed." He explains.
This is...certainly some way that this human wants to help, it's cryptic but Stic can understand it somewhat. "Hhhmmm...so you do not want to help direct, but merely assist...How and why?"
"There are things left undiscovered thanks to the rise of iron, that and more can help provide some unseen aid. It will be merely assistance because humans have done enough, there is no need for the world to know of our involvement in this."

"I... see." Ranii says. She doesn't quite get this human's stance herself, but decides now is not really the time to question it.
"The drone seems to have arrived." Khaako says as the hologram of Khaako disappears, replaced with images of an army being viewed from some distance away. The hologram is now big enough to engulf the entire room.
The view zooms in, and the words "AUDIO ENHANCEMENT ENGAGED" pop up on the screen, indicating the drone is seeing this from very very far away. There are tons of mons of different types, plant types mostly along with some others.
Ranii notices something of particular interest: two mons walking in a conversation. "Zoom in on that location"
It zooms in on the pair, a Skiddo and a Treeko. Both wearing citizen badges, like all the rest, but also something else. The former has a spear and is using it like a walking stick as they walk and talk.
"Our intelligence reports the town is poorly defended, General. It should fall quickly." The Treeko says. "The nobles who lord over the town have not upped the defenses in some time. The fools know not what awaits them."
"And the guilds?" The Skiddo asks.
"The Sandstone guild has already sworn fealty." The Treeko responds. "They know which way the vines are growing. As for the other guilds... There was an Ashshell guild presence some time ago, but that seems to be long gone. There are..." He pauses for a second. "... Rumors of another guild around there somewhere. But we've not been able to find anything. Nothing but rumors, each one getting more ridiculous than the last."
"Rumors?" The Skiddo raises an eyebrow. "What kind of rumors?"
"Well..." The treeko pauses, seemingly unsure if he should tell his superior this or not. "There have been rumors that this guild has contact with... get this... winged far outsiders. Of all things."
"'Winged Far Outsiders?!' The Skiddo laughs hautilly. "What kind of stupid shit is that?!"
"I know. Ridiculous, isn't it?" The Treeko chuckles. "I think we can safely ignore them."
"Indeed. 'Winged Far Outsiders.' Ha!" The Skiddo laughs off the silliness of these rumors before returning to his serious demeanor. "And the nobles?"
"Only two. Both are held up inside their manor, with the majority of the guards." The Treeko reports.
"I see. Tell the men that we begin moving out towards sandstone tonight." The Skiddo orders.
"General, if I may?" The Treeko asks.
"You may." The Skiddo raises an eyebrow. "What is it?"
"Would it not be simpler to simply attack the manor directly and simply demand surrender from the town?" He asks.
The Skiddo almost looks offended.
"What? And deny the men the plunder and free pussy and ass they were promised on this campaign?" The General speaks incredulously. "Do you want our morale to suffer, soldier?"
"N... No. Of course not. And I must admit, I am looking forward to stuffing my cock into some hapless sandstone slut." He confesses.
"Better." He says.
"I trust our orders regarding the aforementioned nobles are to remain the same?" The Treeko asks.
"Of course. Capture them, do not harm them. Ransom them or get them to change sides. The usual." Skiddo responds with a handwave.
"Very good sir. There's nothing else to report."
"Carry on then, soldier." The general responds with a salute. "For The Grove and our Princess!"
"For The Grove and Our Princess!" The treeko replies with a salute in turn. He then turns and walks off somewhere else.

"..." So this confirms that it is the Grove that wants to invade Sandstone. Stic is very deep in thought thinking what strategy to use, it does seem the odds are very much against them...but also does seen an opportunity, if this gets the nobles killed, with the other guild betraying them, Stic's guild could capitalize on that power vacuum...but they need the town to be intact too.
"Guildmaster...can we stand up to this army?" Luca asks.
"With the help from the Avali it should be...a possibility of a sizable victory, for the safety of Sandstone and our cause." The Meowstic explains. "This could be a good opportunity for the nobles to be 'removed' and the Grove will be to blame for that, and not us."

The image shifts back into the counselor, as it appears as if there is really not much more to show with that drone.
"We really do think alike, Stic." Khaako comments with a grin. "As I was going to suggest that very same thing. Yes, this might actually work to our advantage if the nobles were to  suddenly turn up a pair of stiffs. The trouble is... how are we going to go about it? I am tempted to call a night witch operation to reduce their combat numbers, possibly even scare them off. But the problem here is, if we scare them away, our opportunity for deposing our problematic lord goes with it."

"Well, we do know they are coming, we can prepare for that...and the other guilds' betrayal. We could make an ambush right at the entrance to keep them busy, that should give us time to evacuate the town, perhaps the manor could be a secure enough spot to move everyone in a hurry. And behind the scenes i will need someone to help the nobles 'evacuate', which means leading them somewhere else so they can be disposed of, and we can say it was a detachment of pokémon from the Grove going around the fighting in the village to flank the manor."

"Hmmm... sounds like a plan." Khaako says with a nod. "And what would you need from us? I mean besides Ranii, who will no doubt be assisting Luca with whatever task you assign him"

Stic knows the Avali and their technology can be the biggest help. "The information gathering that happened just now from your 'drone' was impressive, if I could have eyes on the battle I could find out how to most effectively position defensive efforts, and avoid surprises. But most importantly...some equipment might be useful too."

"Of course. Guns might be a little too obvious that you're getting help. We're lucky that the... whatever that creature was... dismissed the rumors of this guild existing let alone getting alien help right off the bat. Last thing we need is survivors running off telling tales of strange weapons being used. But luckily I also had a few people get into contact with another group that should give you some weapons that won't look too out of place that should give you an edge. Figuratively and literally speaking. A package will arrive shortly with them."

"That is good to hear." To think the day to change Sandstone would arrive so out of the blue, with an unexpected variable no less, Stic has much to think about, figure out what areas around Sandstone are of note for defense or choke points. He then turned to 'Hawlucha' and the Lucario. He also noticed that the human is no longer there. "You are dismissed for now, I require some time with my own thoughts."

"Yes, Guildmaster." Luca nodded to him and turned to his partner. "Come, we still need to talk with him." And by that he means the human of course, the stealth he used might be good but being a Lucario gives Luca a way to track others without needing to see them.

Ranii nods, and follows Luca out. The avali's hearing, while not as 100% accurate or mystical as the Lucario's 'aura' abilities, but they're none the less useful for locating heartbeats. It served their species well on Avalon when they were little more than tribals hunting down large monstrosities of prey in packs with flight, spears, and ambush techniques.
Something she's kept at least in part, especially when it comes to her weapon, despite... well... it's not a topic she wants to dwell on, even in her own thoughts.
However, now that she knows that the two of them will be in a pitched battle soon, and a certain... revelation regarding her Lucario partner due to a certain slut bunny, a few thoughts begin to turn in her head. Plans. Plans she intends to do before they are made to partake in this pitched battle they will most likely find themselves in.

Their search leads them out of the guild, not too far away they spot the human again, he seems to be standing in place and looking at a spot.
"Sometimes I wish they were just a little less mysterious..." Lucas mumbled before approaching him. "Hey, what's going on? Why are you still here?"
Looking back, the man answers him. "I had no choice but to tell her to stay here while I sneaked in there..." The fact that she isn't anywhere as far as the eye can see can point to a pretty obvious fact.
"So she ran off somewhere..."

"Well, that's just great." Ranii signs. As if she wasn't annoying enough when she was there. "Though to be honest, I fail to see how that's a proble-"
A stray thought suddenly hits her. Her eyes go wide.
"Wait, you dont' think she ran off to the enemy's camp now, did you?" She says, horrified. Her eyes narrow. "I swear, if that's the case I'm gonna wring that little slutbunny's neck."

"Unlikely." He shakes his head. "Her lifestyle makes her thirsty, quickly. She would not go far without water in a desert...which means she would go to the nearest populated place."
Luca understands what this means, she must have gone to Sandstone then. "Sandstone then...but I find it unlikely that they let her in."
"She wouldn't need to use the front gate, the walls would do little against her either."
Luca raises an eyebrow at this. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that she will bypass anything easily by simply going over it."

"Well, I can attest to that myself. Those walls are not as effective as people think they are." Ranii responds, having jumped the walls once or twice easily herself. "Either way, we should go fetch her before she gets herself into trouble."
She chuckles a bit.
"Or before she runs poor Ara out of business."

Luca nods. "Yeah, agreed...it doesn't seem like she would try to avoid attention to herself." Before going though, he has one last question. "Human, what is your name?" He doesn't want to call him 'the human' all the time after all.
"The last one you met must have used his real name...but I will go by Kage." He turns to them. "How exactly do you plan to help after finding her?"
"Well for starters I will give her a citizen badge so the guards don't trouble her...then...find a place to stay. What is she called anyways?"
"Are you sure about that? 'Staying in one place' is not something she is keen on doing. The codename she chose to go by is 'Mrs. Fluffybuns'...if she hasn't forgotten about it anyways."

"Is she usually this much trouble for you, Kage?" Ranii asks, chuckling at the nickname.

"Yes, she usually is like that, and if you underestimate her you get surprised." Kage said.
"Underestimate her how exactly?" The Lucario questioned.
"Underestimating her in general."

"I see." Ranii replies. She has no further questions for now.

"Alright then, I guess we will see you later then." He too has no further questions for this man, for now. Luca then looks down to Ranii. "Well, let us get going, before that Lopunny gets herself in any trouble with the guards..." Now he starts making his way towards the town.

As she walks towards town with Luca, other thoughts swim in her mind. About a certain something 'fluffybuns' said about Luca.  A certain 'problem' that she wasn't even aware of until now.
A problem she intends to fix. As soon as she figures out how to bring the issue up with Luca. However, she'll have to do this before the day ends. And that silly slutbunny is eatting up said time. She groans with annoyance at that thought.

Soon enough they arrive there at the entrance of Sandstone. Luca went straight to ask the guards at the gate if they saw a Lopunny pass through, but they said that no such pokémon came through...so she must have really jumped the wall. Then the next step of things is heading right into the down to try to find her, which should not be too difficult.
"It gets a little harder to track Aura with so many around...but we should find her soon enough." The Lucario says.

"I sure hope so." Ranii huffs. Still buried in her own thoughts about Luca. She remembers when she was first assigned to him, and they didn't get quite along at first, but he grew on her over these last few months, she's come to care for him, and even develop other feelings towards him. Feelings she has trouble expressing.
What 'Fluffybuns' said came as a shock to her, and she realizes for as much as they've spent time as partners, she really doesn't 'know' him as much as she wishes she could. That latest revelation does expain a few things though.  Like why her more 'subtle' attempts at expression and getting him to notice her haven't really worked.

"So the slut bunny told me that you... don't have a penis."

"..." He does remember that rabbit shouting that he has 'no balls' when they first met. "I...do not have a penis...yes..." He sighs.

"That... explains some things." She says sadly. "But... How exactly did that happen? Did you... lose it in a battle, or?"
She sighs.
"You know, it's funny, really. We've spent, what?  Close to a year of this planet's cycle together, and yet we still know very little about each other."

"Yeah..." He looks down, seems like he is feeling some...regret for her to be feeling this way. "I didn't lost it in battle, I lost it when I was younger, before I was a Lucario...a noble did it to me as punishment...It is not a time that i like to remember. I got separated from my mother when i got sold off, ending up in said noble's 'care'..."

"That's awful!" She says, giving him a friendly, comforting hug.
"Nobles... I should have known though." She grumbles. "It seems they're always at the root of just about every problem on this planet."
She lets him go.
"So what happened, then? I mean, you obviously didn't stay in this noble's 'care' forever? Not to mention, I suspect cutting your penis off was not the least of what he put you through, am I right?"

He wrapped an arm around her, hugging her back. "There were...other things he did to me, they were mostly hitting me for any reason. But one day I managed to kill him and escape."

"He is dead then? That's good.... If he was alive, I might have gone after them myself. I can see why you hate the nobles of this world so much."
She adds under her breath.
"Though then again, so can anyone who's lived here for 5 minutes."
Returning to her normal voice, she decides to keep this conversation going.
"So what happened then?"

Luca proceeds on telling her the rest of his story.

She listens intently to his story, then sighs, and hugs him again.
"I'm sorry you had to go through all of that." She says softly. "I wish I knew sooner. I might not have tried to ... seduce you the way I have."

"So you were trying to seduce me? Why?"

"Well... Because I... really like you." Ranii admits with a blush on her face. "I mean, more than a friend."
Suddenly her eyes go wide.
"Wait, I never told you my own story, did I?"

'More than a friend'...that's not something he ever heard being directed at him before. "No...you haven't told me yet."

"Well, no time like the present to tell it, then."
She clears her throat, and begins.
"First and foremost... You may have noticed that the last group of avali ran around in a pack, and that even Khaako mentions her 'pack' from time to time? And yet you've never actually seen my 'pack' at all? Or even heard mention of them?"

"Yes, that is correct. I have not seen your pack at all."

"That's because there isn't one. I'm what Avali society would call a "kayo", or severed limb. But it's not really accurate. 'Kayos' have a genetic disorder that prevents them from forming packs. But as for myself, well... it's a little more complicated. You see, I hail from Litus I, a cold mountain world. I was an ordinary avali hatching in an ordinary nomadic avali tribe. I was just entering creche, and hadn't really had time to form pack bonds with anyone. To this day, I'm still not sure if I'm a true 'kayo' or not. Never got the chance to find out... because right out of the blue, our tribe was attacked by the Occassus. Did... did the last group of Avali tell you about them, I wonder?"

"Occasus? No, that's the first time I heard that word, what is that?"

"It's... well, I should say, it WAS a human cult that was hellbent on wiping out all life in the universe. They're all gone now, or so they say, save for the occasional hold out or rogue vessel that pops up out of nowhere every couple decades or so, but back then, it was a rampant cancer throughout the universe. To be honest, you guys got pretty lucky that they for some reason never found this world.
It... doesn't take a lot of imagination to tell you exactly what they did to my tribe.."
She sighs sadly.
"I was extremely young, even by your years, when it happened, so I don't remember a whole lot, but what I did.... The screaming, the blood, the bodies... I got 'lucky', in that a tent fell on me and they didn't bother to look under it. I got unlucky in that I was trapped under it, and couldn't get out... I was stuck there for days, until a Alpaca scout came along, found the wreckage, and heard me crying out for help. He lifted the tent off of me, took me back to his village, and for the remainder of my childhood, I was raised Alpaca instead of Avali."
She takes a breath before continuing.
"I won't spare you much of the details of those years, they mostly consisted of learning to hunt, learning spearmanship, learning basic skills, that sort of thing. But yeah, unlike most avali, I was raised in a real family instead of a creche for most of my life. My 'parents' used to tell me stories of the Valkyrie, and when I came of age, I went on a spirit journey to see if I was worthy of Gungnir, the legendary spear of the Alpaca gods. I tried several times, and failed, but eventually, I was found worthy..."
She generates the spear from mid air, giving it a few twirls before throwing it off to the side and letting it disappear from whence it came.
"And I've had the thing ever since. That spear... it's an anomaly of science. It baffles avali scientists every time they looks at it, and it seems to give me a few weird powers as well. We'll come back to those later."

"Hhhhmmm..." He listened to her whole story with much attention, noticing how her too had a life of hardship, of loss. "I see. It is good to know more of you, Ranii. You really are someone strong..."

"Thanks!" She smiles sweetly from the complement. It means so much to her...
That she almost forgot where exactly she was.
"Anyway, some time later, I came across my own kind. It turns out that my tribe had sent out a distress beacon, but since the galaxy was in such a state of turmoil, no one was able to check up on it untill it was 20 years too late. At least, for most of the residents there. It was quite the coincidence, really. You see, once every year ever since I came of age, I had this little ritual of visiting the site where my old tribe died. it was on that day that the ADF finally got around to sending a pack to look into it. And they found me, the sole survivor.  They offered to take me back to Avali space, and while I was hesitant at first, my adopted parents urged me to go be with my own kind. I bid them farewell, thanked them for raising me all these years, and went with the ADF force.
When I got back to avali space, it took me a while to adjust. I did have nanites, as even my tribe gave those to every hatchling as soon as they're born, of course. But there was so much modern stuff to learn. So much science. So much math. So much... other stuff that I won't bore you with the details of describing. It was a real culture shock compared to my previous alpaca life.
They tried to insert me into a pack, but by that time, my upbringing was so different compared to most avali, that I just couldn't bond with a pack anymore. I could make friends, but I couldn't bond with them the way packmates are supposed to. So I was given 'Kayo' status.
Eventually once my reeducation was done, I decided to explore the rest of the universe, so I joined up with the AEF. I got myself a little UROs sphere, got assigned to this world, and you know the rest."

"So it wasn't easy to live with your own kind? Is being 'Kayo' a bad thing in their eyes?"

"Kind of. It was MUCH worse than it is now, so I got quite lucky on that front.  Back in the bad old days, being a kayo was..." She tries to look for an apt comparison that he'll understand.
"Like being a discoloured is here." That's the closest she could come. "Never did understand the reasoning for that though, I mean, Avali come in all sorts of colors and no one bats an eye about it."

That's a comparison that he wraps his head around well enough. "I could never grasp it either, i don't get how it started but that behavior somehow is a norm. But Pokémon with different colors are rare."

"Yeah. At least the Kayo thing is better now though.  One of the things that got changed when the Illuminate underwent its reformation. Something that happened when I was still with the Alpaca. There's still some stigma, but it's not institutionalized anymore."
She sits there, letting it sink in, and trying to remember what the original topic was. Then she remembers.
"Okay. Going back to the whole 'not having a penis' thing." She says. "I wish someone would have told me about that sooner. Hell, I'm surprised the Ghost Bear pack never brought it up, let alone did anything about it."

Now he is intrigued. "They could have done something about it? what do you mean?"

"Well, from what I was told, you cut off that human's hand the first time you meet the ghost bear pack. Correct? And then they reattached it."

He nods. "Yes, I remember that very well, they reattached his hand...but what does this have to do with this?"

"Well, let's just say that reattaching stuff isn't the limitation of avali tech. They can grow new ones, too. And not just hands, but other body parts. Hell, I've learned that there are avali out there that are 100% synthetic parts. Yes, that included... see where I'm going with this?"

"You mean..." His eyes go wide. "You can...make another one and to reattach it to me...?"

She grins and puts her hand on his shoulders.
"My friend... No, more than that... I intend to do EXACTLY that."
She looks off to the side in annoyance slightly as she says the next part.
"Of course it means I'll have to dust off the biolab on my ship, something I haven't used in ages, plus I'd have to download a tutorial but..."
SHe looks back at him.
"Yes. Yes I can."

Luca ponders on this for a moment. "I don't know how it is to have a penis, to be honest, it has been so long since I lost it but..." She pats her shoulder. "I see no reason to say 'no' to that, I'm...curious about it."

Ranii smiles, and hugs him closely.
"I knew you'd say yes!" She says.
"Okay, in order to do this, we need to go to my ship. I know, you've never seen it before. And it's ... probably not as fancy as the Ghost Bear's ship you were on. I tend to store my stuff in my Matter Manipulator" she takes out the horseshoe thing she has on her to illustrate her point. "rather than try to keep things on the ship. But I do have that at least. Ready to go aboard?"

He smiles and nods. "Yeah, I'm ready when you are."
