And head back to the main ship. They beam back into the main room. \"Okay everyone! We're home!\" Eilumi shouts.\n\nSeems like almost everyone else is here too. Joshua has been loitering around waiting for them while Shia and Spark were talking in corner but when Eilumi made his and other's arrival known they looked to them. \n\"Hey.\" Sparks waves to them. \n\"So you are back.\" Joshua said, with his arms crossed by being careful not to touch the sword whose blade is still stuck into his chest ever since Rai left it there once he died.\n\n\"Well not much. I tried to make sure your arsenal and dishes were in order to pass the time though.\" He shrugged. \"So how were things down there? what happened?\"\n\n\"Well, we, or rather, a member of our government had some negotiations with the guild that Luca belongs to.\" Eilumi expains. \"They've agreed to help them overthrow the nobles and provide the materials necessary for a transition to a better government once they're gone. They plan to do it more quietly, though an 'order 66' type thing.\"\n\n\"So they plan to help them in the near future? hhhmmmm...\" For some reason knowing this makes him furrow his brows. \"I suppose that is doable...but...\"\n\n\"But?\" Eilumi asks.\n\n\".......This isn't something that i like that i like to think about, or acknowledge it exists. But i think you should be warned.\" He looks very serious now. \"But first i need to ask you question to see how should i go explaining this to you. Tell me, do you believe in gods?\"\n\n\"The closest thing we've seen to exist that comes close to 'gods' was The Ruin, and first of all, that thing is dead, and second of all, hardly worthy of being worshiped as a god. So no.\" Eilumi answers.\n\"Hey wait a minute...\" Loona interjects, \"I've heard you guys say things 'by the nexus!' or 'for the oracle's sake!' aren't those gods?\" \n\"Heh heh heh, no.\" Eilumi says. \"Not even close. The Oracle is just a massive super AI. It's not a god. And the nexus is... well, and information and communications network. I believe the human equivalent was 'The Internet'?\"\n\n\"Alright, here is the issues i see with that. Usually there are unique pokémon who have enough power to be considered personifications of nature, i have reason to believe that they wouldn't like out worlders taking control of their world.\" He explains. \"But...on the other hand everything i see makes me question where they are, the fact that you could make multiple trips through the Ozone layer alone and still be alive is certainly thought provoking. And to add to that, what kind of gods would leave their world in such a horrible state?\"\n\n\"Indeed.\" Eilumi says. \"Even these gods do exist, they're doing a pretty good job of making sure people think they don't.\"\n\n\"Yes, i don't quite know why they aren't around, all i got are hypothesis...It is just my opinion, but word of advice: Always be on your guard when around gods. You shouldn't place too much trust in them. But at the same time don't go too far in the opposite direction...don't go trying to overthrow them or hunt them down.\" He remains silent for a moment. \"There not many who can do the latter after all...\"\n\n\"We'll... have to consider that. \" Eilumi says. \"Anyway...\" He hands josh the stone. \"There, they gave us one of these.\"\n\n\"Well\" Eilumi replies, \"Technically, [i]we aren't[/i] taking over their world. We're just helping a group with similiar ideals take back their world from the idiot nobles, and helping them build a better one.\"\n\nJoshua takes a closer look at the done. \"Hhhmmm, yes, this one should work, i will wrap it up in something and give it to him...and tell him it was you who collected it of course.\" Now as for that other thing... \"Yes, i trust you on that. But creatures like that tend to not act...within rational parameters.\"\n\n\"Well, at any rate, it's not [i]this particular pack's[/i] problem right now. We have a new pack to take care of, and space to explore\" Eilumi says. \n\"Speaking of,\" Khaun interjects, \"is Veera still sleeping?\"\n\n\"Oh her. She was sitting on that chair on the bridge watching the stars last time I saw her.\" Well, since now things have pretty much calmed down, maybe he can go prepare for the medical procedure. \"Anyways, i'm gonna go lay down on the operation table in the biolab, whenever you are ready to get this sword out of my chest just go there.\"\n\nKhaun was hoping to say Hi to Veera before he did this, but this cannot wait a moment longer. \"Tell Veera I'm in the Biolab. Though, also warn her that it might be a bit messy in there.\" Khaun says as he follows Josh to the Biolab. Nine and Eilumi both nod as they stay behind. \"So uh... Shia.\" Eilumi starts awkwardly. \"Have you... spoken to Veera yet?\" \n----- \n\"Well, I presume you know the drill.\" Khaun says as he takes out an auto-injecting sedative.\n\nWith a bit of a solemn look, Shia does not know if he should say yes or no. \"I...i guess, we walked past each other in the hallway, we said a few words to each other but that was it.\" \n----- \n\"Yes, of course.\" He lays himself down on the operation table, just as he did the first time when reattaching his hand was the procedure that took place here. \"After we are done removing this thing. I would like to gather all of you, well...Nine, you and Eilumi i mean, to give you guys one final talk about how pokemons work, i think it would be nice to put it on record. And...I also think you deserve to know a little bit more about the world you visited, it's the least I can do for all you have done for me.\"\n\n\"I... See.\" Eilumi says. \"You know you'll have to apologize some time. Though for now at least, at least it's good to see you're making at least one good friend.\" Loona looks on, with an unreadable expression. \"Why don't you go tell her we're back?\" Eilumi suggests. \"And that Khaun's in the Biolab?\" \n------ \n\"Of course.\" Khaun says. \"Welp, time to take a nap.\" He pushes the auto-injector into the back of josh's neck, letting the sedative drain. Once Josh loses consciousness again, he gets to work on him.\n\nSpark looked at Loona. \"uuuuh...\" \nShia nods. \"Well, alright, I can do that.\" He then notices Loona looking, her expression gives him some concerns. \"L-Loona, are you okay?\"\n\n\"It's... nothing.\" Loona says to him.\n\n\"O-okay then, if you say so...\" And with that he goes off to tell Veera that Khaun wants to talk with her. \nMeanwhile the Pikachu kept staring at her, but had this feeling that the air started to become...tense, so he is about to turn around to follow Shia.\n\nEilumi watches them leave. \nHe then turns to Loona. \n\"Something wrong?\" He asks, giving a small rub on her back. She sighs heavily. \n\"Just a lot on my mind when it comes to those two.\" Loona says. \"Shia... well.... I know he's trying, and I know shit happened to him. Probably worse than me. But still...\" She pauses. \"And as far as Spark goes. Well, I like the little guy well enough. But... the fact that he wants to turn into a Raichu. That just... bothers me.\"\n\nWhile Khaun is working on Joshua he hears someone step into the biolab, It is Veera, looks like Shia did tell her that Khaun has been looking for her after all. She approached and saw what was going on. \"i...i'm sorry did i come in at a bad time...?\"\n\n\"Only a little.\" He says. He now has the blade removed, but his chest cavity is open as he operates on the punctured organ. \"I'm removing the blade and repairing the ruptured organs. Real messy stuff. Anyway, how're you doing?\"\n\n\"I'm doing alright, sleeping really helped.\" She approaches a bit more, looking at the human that he is operating on. \"You know i never thought it was possible to survive having iron plunged on your chest like that, i want to ask him how he does it but...i'm afraid of asking him.\"\n\n\"Well, it won't do much good at the moment considering he's under sedation.\" Khaun chuckles as he continues to work. \"So what have you been up to since you woke up?\"\n\n\"After I woke up I was hungry. Spark showed me to the kitchen and introduced me to these 'taco' things, they tasted nice but they were spicy.\" She said.\n\n\"Ah, that's good to hear.... did he explain that the meat doesn't come from sentient creatures, or creatures at all, but from a weird type of flesh-plant?\" Khaun asks.\n\n\"Yeah at first I didn't quite believe him, but he insisted that it was true. But since you are saying that then i think he was really telling the truth.\"\n\n\"Yeah, he was. I don't think you'd want to see the plant though, it's... kinda gross looking.\" \n\"...And yes, it's more gross looking than this.\" He quickly adds. \n\n\"You know, now that you're here...\" Khaun says. \"I guess I should inform you of our plans concerning you four and the near future. Well, you'll be inducted as part of this crew, and as such, given avali nanites. We had planned to do all four of you at once, but due to a certain... issue josh made us aware of concerning 'Evolution', you and Loona will be getting yours first, considering you're at the end of your 'evolutionary' line.\"\nUnder his breath he comments on just how strange it is to use the word 'evolution' to describe that since that's not how evolution works in the rest of the galaxy.\n\n\"Eh, sort of. Getting them, you could say, is part of a ritual.\" Khaun explains as he works. \"But no, nanites are... very tiny machines. We have them in our bodies and they do things. A [i]lot[/i] of things. Prevent diseases, install tech slots, increase life span, allow for life support on hostile worlds, install the Neural Jack necessary to operate Avali machinery and computers, allow Nexus access. Too many things to list off the top of my head, really.\" \nHe replaces the heart, and begins the methodical process of reinserting it. \n\"The reason we're injecting you and Loona with them first, and not all four of them at once...\" He continues, \"Is that one of those 'many things' it does, or [i]might do[/i] is prevent sudden mutations. It's normally meant to combat things like radiation or magic-induced mutations, but once we learned on how your kind 'evolves', I realized it might interfere with that. He's told us though that you two can't 'evolve' anymore, hence you get the nanites first. In fact... I think I'll give them to you right after I'm done here.\"\nHe looks at her. \n\"Speaking of, I'm surprised you're not grossed out by all of this. I wonder, would you happen to have an interest in medical science as well?\"\n\n\"Hhhmmmm...\" She listened to all of the explanations he gave to her. \"increased life span? prevent diseases? Wow that sounds...amazing.\" She sounds in awe at what these 'nanite' things can do. And as for the ongoing operation in front of her, she isn't at a good angle to see the most gory details but come to think of it her stomach is not being upset by seeing all the blood. \"Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to learn, if you or the others happen to get hurt I would like to help as best as i can.\"\n\n\"Well, it's not exactly something you can learn overnight.\" Khaun says. \"In fact I had to spend a year or two taking classes to learn it. You'll likely have to, also if you go decide to go that route. But, as I said, increased lifespan. Plus..\" He smiles at her. \"You've got someone willing to help you learn.\"\n\nShe smiles back. \"Yeah, you do look like you really know what you are doing. Is he...really still alive? I have never seen someone survive with iron through the chest like that...\"\n\n\"Oh yes, he's still quite alive.\" Khaun remarks. \"Though, if I am to be honest here... I'm beginning to think he's not quite as 'human' as he makes himself out to be.\"\n\n\"'Not quite human'?\" She asked. \"I'm not really sure what a human is supposed to be in the first place if I'm being honest.\" She sighs. \"I guess he just...confuses me a bit.\"\n\n\"Ah yes, I forget that humans have never physically appeared in your world. At least, until now.\" He sighs. \"I mean on the outside he looks human enough. But on the inside, his organs just don't add up. quite literally in fact.\" He thinks for a moment. \"If that old earth TV show involving a time traveling doctor was a real thing, I would think this guy might be a Time Lord. Guess I'll have to tease him about that when I get done.\" Khaun chuckles.\n\nTV Show? She can't quite understand what Khaun and the other Avali say sometimes. \"I see. So...since you have these nanite things that let you live long, how old are you exactly?\"\n\n\"Well, Avali are already long lived even unaugmented, we live about...\" He runs the numbers in his head. \"200 of your years. But with augments... well... ever since nanites became a thing, no avali has ever died from old age. As to how old we are, hmmm.... about a century or two of your years old. Hard for use to tell exactly, age tends to lose its meaning after a while.\"\n\n\"W-wow, that long? And no one has ever died of old age?\"\n\n\"Not since the advent of Nanites, no.\" Khaun replies. --- Nine is currently with Spark and Shia, listening to the two of them. Eilumi and Loona have gone down to the Holodeck to... train. Uh huh. 'Train' Loona needed to blow off some steam, and Eilumi had been all too happy to join her.\n\n\"I see...\" She seems pretty impressed by that. \"So...after you are done taking care of him it will be my turn right?\" \n---\n \"Hey Nine...\" Spark said, looking up at the protogen. \"Are we going to be leaving soon? I mean like, you guys were saying we were going to explore someplace.\"\n\n\"Yes. Though don't worry, it won't take nearly as long.\" He says in a reassuring tone. \"In fact, it's just an injection, and a little nap to let it acclimate.\"\n\"Yes, yes we are.\" Nine replies. \"We're just attending to Josh before we leave.\"\n\n\"And then he will be alright?\" Khaun is making it sound like it is so easy, can she really learn to be as good as him at this? \n---- \n\"O-oh, I see...\" Spark is getting nervous all of the sudden. Shia raised a brow. \"Is something wrong, Spark...?\" \"Noooo...no.\"\n\n\"Yes. In fact... I'm on the last part of this now.\" He's already replaced Josh's heart, it's connected, it's beating, and now he just has to sew everything back up. \n---- \n\"I must ask the same question. Is there something you wanted to do or see before we leave? Or something to say?\"\n\n\"Oh, okay. I will just wait a little more then.\" \n--- \n\"I mean, n-no...? I don't want to go back to my world, it's just...\" Shia wonders why his Pikachu friend is nervous like this all of the sudden. \"Spark, you can tell me if something is wrong...\"\n\n\"So uh... what was your life like before.... all this?\" Khaun asks while trying to find a topic to talk about. \n---- \n\"Yes, it's quite clear something's on your mind, Spark. Do tell.\"\n\n\"Well...back then i was still an Eevee. It was just me, Loona and Shia surviving as best we could in the dungeons, just trying to get to the next day...\" She explained. \n--- \n\"There is...this thing I wanted to bring with me...it's from our world\" He said. \"You couldn't have told us before...?\" Shia sighs, he is not sure what the big deal is here, is Spark just scared of looking bad for only now bringing up the fact that he wants something before they leave?\n\n\"Anything noteworthy in particular?\" True, he already scanned Loona's memories, so he does actually know... most of this, but it's conversation as he sews up the chest of Josh. \n---- \n\"Well, what is it, Spark?\" Nine asks. His eyes go wide for a second before returning to their normal look. \"Oh, if you're talking about a... [i]certain stone[/i], I believe Josh has something he wants to show you once he wakes up.\"\n\n\"hhhmm, when we moved into a dungeon it took some used to just being there, there was this one time it separated me from Shia and Loona, ever since them we decided to stick together as much as possible to avoid it happening again.\" She says. \n---- \n\"Oh? h-he got it?\" He wonders how though, Joshua hasn't left the ship the whole time. \n\"A stone?\" The confused Shix asks. \"like some keepsake?\"\nWell, given that Spark plans to keep it even after using it, Shia is not wrong...but this line of thought is just him convincing himself to lie a bit. \"Y-yeah.\"\n\n\"So you weren't always living in a dungeon?\" Khaun inquires as he stiches up Josh's chest. \n---- \n\"I don't quite understand it myself, but yes. Josh passed the request onto us before we left, and had us ask the guild for it. They gladly gave us one.\" Nine explains.\n\n\"Not really.\" She shakes her head. \"I wasn't born in it. When i met Loona and then Shia we moved in to the Dungeon since it looked safer and...we hoped that it would have protected us.\" \n--- \n\"A-alright then.\" Spark is glad that is sorted out, but now he is a bit afraid of Shia finding out so soon. \n\"Well, i'm glad you have your stone then.\" The Shinx said.\n\n\"Aaaaand done. Now all that's left is to wait for the sedation to wear off. That might take a while though. So in the mean time, I'll just wait here and continue this convo.\" Khaun announces as he finishes the last stich. \"So if you weren't born in a dungeon, where were you guys from?\" \n--- \n\"May I pull you aside for just a moment, Spark?\" Nine asks him.\n\n\"Well, nowhere really, we just lived out in the wild pretty much.\"\n--- \nPull him aside? why? \"S...sure thing Nine.\"\n\n\"I see.\" Khaun says. He takes his clothes off and puts it in a bin, then puts on a new set, and comes over and sits by Veera. \"So, anything you wanted to ask me?\" \n--- \nNine pulls him aside for a moment, and whispers to him. \n\"While I can see why you'd want to try to have it, I do suggest you hold off on using the thunderstone for a while. At least for a few months while everyone else has the chance to get over what happened. So, we basically decided to stop getting involved in fighting for a while, do a science mission or two, give ourselves time to breath and grieve. Act 10: Recovery


They go outside, beam aboard their ship. And head back to the main ship. They beam back into the main room. "Okay everyone! We're home!" Eilumi shouts.

Seems like almost everyone else is here too. Joshua has been loitering around waiting for them while Shia and Spark were talking in corner but when Eilumi made his and other's arrival known they looked to them.
"Hey." Sparks waves to them.
"So you are back." Joshua said, with his arms crossed by being careful not to touch the sword whose blade is still stuck into his chest ever since Rai left it there once he died.

"Well not much. I tried to make sure your arsenal and dishes were in order to pass the time though." He shrugged. "So how were things down there? what happened?"

"Well, we, or rather, a member of our government had some negotiations with the guild that Luca belongs to." Eilumi expains. "They've agreed to help them overthrow the nobles and provide the materials necessary for a transition to a better government once they're gone. They plan to do it more quietly, though an 'order 66' type thing."

"So they plan to help them in the near future? hhhmmmm..." For some reason knowing this makes him furrow his brows. "I suppose that is doable...but..."

"But?" Eilumi asks.

".......This isn't something that i like that i like to think about, or acknowledge it exists. But i think you should be warned." He looks very serious now. "But first i need to ask you question to see how should i go explaining this to you. Tell me, do you believe in gods?"

"The closest thing we've seen to exist that comes close to 'gods' was The Ruin, and first of all, that thing is dead, and second of all, hardly worthy of being worshiped as a god. So no." Eilumi answers.
"Hey wait a minute..." Loona interjects, "I've heard you guys say things 'by the nexus!' or 'for the oracle's sake!' aren't those gods?"
"Heh heh heh, no." Eilumi says. "Not even close. The Oracle is just a massive super AI. It's not a god. And the nexus is... well, and information and communications network. I believe the human equivalent was 'The Internet'?"

"Alright, here is the issues i see with that. Usually there are unique pokémon who have enough power to be considered personifications of nature, i have reason to believe that they wouldn't like out worlders taking control of their world." He explains. "But...on the other hand everything i see makes me question where they are, the fact that you could make multiple trips through the Ozone layer alone and still be alive is certainly thought provoking. And to add to that, what kind of gods would leave their world in such a horrible state?"

"Indeed." Eilumi says. "Even these gods do exist, they're doing a pretty good job of making sure people think they don't."

"Yes, i don't quite know why they aren't around, all i got are hypothesis...It is just my opinion, but word of advice: Always be on your guard when around gods. You shouldn't place too much trust in them. But at the same time don't go too far in the opposite direction...don't go trying to overthrow them or hunt them down." He remains silent for a moment. "There not many who can do the latter after all..."

"We'll... have to consider that. " Eilumi says. "Anyway..." He hands josh the stone. "There, they gave us one of these."

"Well" Eilumi replies, "Technically, we aren't taking over their world. We're just helping a group with similiar ideals take back their world from the idiot nobles, and helping them build a better one."

Joshua takes a closer look at the done. "Hhhmmm, yes, this one should work, i will wrap it up in something and give it to him...and tell him it was you who collected it of course." Now as for that other thing... "Yes, i trust you on that. But creatures like that tend to not act...within rational parameters."

"Well, at any rate, it's not this particular pack's problem right now. We have a new pack to take care of, and space to explore" Eilumi says.
"Speaking of," Khaun interjects, "is Veera still sleeping?"

"Oh her. She was sitting on that chair on the bridge watching the stars last time I saw her." Well, since now things have pretty much calmed down, maybe he can go prepare for the medical procedure. "Anyways, i'm gonna go lay down on the operation table in the biolab, whenever you are ready to get this sword out of my chest just go there."

Khaun was hoping to say Hi to Veera before he did this, but this cannot wait a moment longer. "Tell Veera I'm in the Biolab. Though, also warn her that it might be a bit messy in there." Khaun says as he follows Josh to the Biolab. Nine and Eilumi both nod as they stay behind. "So uh... Shia." Eilumi starts awkwardly. "Have you... spoken to Veera yet?"

"Well, I presume you know the drill." Khaun says as he takes out an auto-injecting sedative.

With a bit of a solemn look, Shia does not know if he should say yes or no. "I...i guess, we walked past each other in the hallway, we said a few words to each other but that was it."

"Yes, of course." He lays himself down on the operation table, just as he did the first time when reattaching his hand was the procedure that took place here. "After we are done removing this thing. I would like to gather all of you, well...Nine, you and Eilumi i mean, to give you guys one final talk about how pokemons work, i think it would be nice to put it on record. And...I also think you deserve to know a little bit more about the world you visited, it's the least I can do for all you have done for me."

"I... See." Eilumi says. "You know you'll have to apologize some time. Though for now at least, at least it's good to see you're making at least one good friend." Loona looks on, with an unreadable expression. "Why don't you go tell her we're back?" Eilumi suggests. "And that Khaun's in the Biolab?"

"Of course." Khaun says. "Welp, time to take a nap." He pushes the auto-injector into the back of josh's neck, letting the sedative drain. Once Josh loses consciousness again, he gets to work on him.

Spark looked at Loona. "uuuuh..."
Shia nods. "Well, alright, I can do that." He then notices Loona looking, her expression gives him some concerns. "L-Loona, are you okay?"

"It's... nothing." Loona says to him.

"O-okay then, if you say so..." And with that he goes off to tell Veera that Khaun wants to talk with her.
Meanwhile the Pikachu kept staring at her, but had this feeling that the air started to become...tense, so he is about to turn around to follow Shia.

Eilumi watches them leave.
He then turns to Loona.
"Something wrong?" He asks, giving a small rub on her back. She sighs heavily.
"Just a lot on my mind when it comes to those two." Loona says. "Shia... well.... I know he's trying, and I know shit happened to him. Probably worse than me. But still..." She pauses. "And as far as Spark goes. Well, I like the little guy well enough. But... the fact that he wants to turn into a Raichu. That just... bothers me."

While Khaun is working on Joshua he hears someone step into the biolab, It is Veera, looks like Shia did tell her that Khaun has been looking for her after all. She approached and saw what was going on. "i...i'm sorry did i come in at a bad time...?"

"Only a little." He says. He now has the blade removed, but his chest cavity is open as he operates on the punctured organ. "I'm removing the blade and repairing the ruptured organs. Real messy stuff. Anyway, how're you doing?"

"I'm doing alright, sleeping really helped." She approaches a bit more, looking at the human that he is operating on. "You know i never thought it was possible to survive having iron plunged on your chest like that, i want to ask him how he does it but...i'm afraid of asking him."

"Well, it won't do much good at the moment considering he's under sedation." Khaun chuckles as he continues to work. "So what have you been up to since you woke up?"

"After I woke up I was hungry. Spark showed me to the kitchen and introduced me to these 'taco' things, they tasted nice but they were spicy." She said.

"Ah, that's good to hear.... did he explain that the meat doesn't come from sentient creatures, or creatures at all, but from a weird type of flesh-plant?" Khaun asks.

"Yeah at first I didn't quite believe him, but he insisted that it was true. But since you are saying that then i think he was really telling the truth."

"Yeah, he was. I don't think you'd want to see the plant though, it's... kinda gross looking."
"...And yes, it's more gross looking than this." He quickly adds.

"You know, now that you're here..." Khaun says. "I guess I should inform you of our plans concerning you four and the near future. Well, you'll be inducted as part of this crew, and as such, given avali nanites. We had planned to do all four of you at once, but due to a certain... issue josh made us aware of concerning 'Evolution', you and Loona will be getting yours first, considering you're at the end of your 'evolutionary' line."
Under his breath he comments on just how strange it is to use the word 'evolution' to describe that since that's not how evolution works in the rest of the galaxy.

"Eh, sort of. Getting them, you could say, is part of a ritual." Khaun explains as he works. "But no, nanites are... very tiny machines. We have them in our bodies and they do things. A lot of things. Prevent diseases, install tech slots, increase life span, allow for life support on hostile worlds, install the Neural Jack necessary to operate Avali machinery and computers, allow Nexus access. Too many things to list off the top of my head, really."
He replaces the heart, and begins the methodical process of reinserting it.
"The reason we're injecting you and Loona with them first, and not all four of them at once..." He continues, "Is that one of those 'many things' it does, or might do is prevent sudden mutations. It's normally meant to combat things like radiation or magic-induced mutations, but once we learned on how your kind 'evolves', I realized it might interfere with that. He's told us though that you two can't 'evolve' anymore, hence you get the nanites first. In fact... I think I'll give them to you right after I'm done here."
He looks at her.
"Speaking of, I'm surprised you're not grossed out by all of this. I wonder, would you happen to have an interest in medical science as well?"

"Hhhmmmm..." She listened to all of the explanations he gave to her. "increased life span? prevent diseases? Wow that sounds...amazing." She sounds in awe at what these 'nanite' things can do. And as for the ongoing operation in front of her, she isn't at a good angle to see the most gory details but come to think of it her stomach is not being upset by seeing all the blood. "Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to learn, if you or the others happen to get hurt I would like to help as best as i can."

"Well, it's not exactly something you can learn overnight." Khaun says. "In fact I had to spend a year or two taking classes to learn it. You'll likely have to, also if you go decide to go that route. But, as I said, increased lifespan. Plus.." He smiles at her. "You've got someone willing to help you learn."

She smiles back. "Yeah, you do look like you really know what you are doing. Is he...really still alive? I have never seen someone survive with iron through the chest like that..."

"Oh yes, he's still quite alive." Khaun remarks. "Though, if I am to be honest here... I'm beginning to think he's not quite as 'human' as he makes himself out to be."

"'Not quite human'?" She asked. "I'm not really sure what a human is supposed to be in the first place if I'm being honest." She sighs. "I guess he just...confuses me a bit."

"Ah yes, I forget that humans have never physically appeared in your world. At least, until now." He sighs. "I mean on the outside he looks human enough. But on the inside, his organs just don't add up. quite literally in fact." He thinks for a moment. "If that old earth TV show involving a time traveling doctor was a real thing, I would think this guy might be a Time Lord. Guess I'll have to tease him about that when I get done." Khaun chuckles.

TV Show? She can't quite understand what Khaun and the other Avali say sometimes. "I see. So...since you have these nanite things that let you live long, how old are you exactly?"

"Well, Avali are already long lived even unaugmented, we live about..." He runs the numbers in his head. "200 of your years. But with augments... well... ever since nanites became a thing, no avali has ever died from old age. As to how old we are, hmmm.... about a century or two of your years old. Hard for use to tell exactly, age tends to lose its meaning after a while."

"W-wow, that long? And no one has ever died of old age?"

"Not since the advent of Nanites, no." Khaun replies. --- Nine is currently with Spark and Shia, listening to the two of them. Eilumi and Loona have gone down to the Holodeck to... train. Uh huh. 'Train' Loona needed to blow off some steam, and Eilumi had been all too happy to join her.

"I see..." She seems pretty impressed by that. "So...after you are done taking care of him it will be my turn right?"

 "Hey Nine..." Spark said, looking up at the protogen. "Are we going to be leaving soon? I mean like, you guys were saying we were going to explore someplace."

"Yes. Though don't worry, it won't take nearly as long." He says in a reassuring tone. "In fact, it's just an injection, and a little nap to let it acclimate."
"Yes, yes we are." Nine replies. "We're just attending to Josh before we leave."

"And then he will be alright?" Khaun is making it sound like it is so easy, can she really learn to be as good as him at this?

"O-oh, I see..." Spark is getting nervous all of the sudden. Shia raised a brow. "Is something wrong, Spark...?" "Noooo...no."

"Yes. In fact... I'm on the last part of this now." He's already replaced Josh's heart, it's connected, it's beating, and now he just has to sew everything back up.

"I must ask the same question. Is there something you wanted to do or see before we leave? Or something to say?"

"Oh, okay. I will just wait a little more then."

"So uh... what was your life like before.... all this?" Khaun asks while trying to find a topic to talk about.

"Well...back then i was still an Eevee. It was just me, Loona and Shia surviving as best we could in the dungeons, just trying to get to the next day..." She explained.

"Anything noteworthy in particular?" True, he already scanned Loona's memories, so he does actually know... most of this, but it's conversation as he sews up the chest of Josh.

"hhhmm, when we moved into a dungeon it took some used to just being there, there was this one time it separated me from Shia and Loona, ever since them we decided to stick together as much as possible to avoid it happening again." She says.

Well, given that Spark plans to keep it even after using it, Shia is not wrong...but this line of thought is just him convincing himself to lie a bit. "Y-yeah."

"So you weren't always living in a dungeon?" Khaun inquires as he stiches up Josh's chest.

"I don't quite understand it myself, but yes. Josh passed the request onto us before we left, and had us ask the guild for it. They gladly gave us one." Nine explains.

"Not really." She shakes her head. "I wasn't born in it. When i met Loona and then Shia we moved in to the Dungeon since it looked safer and...we hoped that it would have protected us."

"A-alright then." Spark is glad that is sorted out, but now he is a bit afraid of Shia finding out so soon.
"Well, i'm glad you have your stone then." The Shinx said.

"Aaaaand done. Now all that's left is to wait for the sedation to wear off. That might take a while though. So in the mean time, I'll just wait here and continue this convo." Khaun announces as he finishes the last stich. "So if you weren't born in a dungeon, where were you guys from?"

"May I pull you aside for just a moment, Spark?" Nine asks him.

"Well, nowhere really, we just lived out in the wild pretty much."

Pull him aside? why? "S...sure thing Nine."

"I see." Khaun says. He washes himself up. He takes his clothes off and puts it in a bin, then puts on a new set, and comes over and sits by Veera. "So, anything you wanted to ask me?"

Nine pulls him aside for a moment, and whispers to him.
"While I can see why you'd want to try to have it, I do suggest you hold off on using the thunderstone for a while. At least for a few months while everyone else has the chance to get over what happened. You should know Shia especially got mistreated by a Raichu, so it might scare him if you turn into one." He warns him. "Though, then again, it also means you won't be able to take your nanites on for a long while, since those could block your evolution."

There are more than a few things she would like to ask him, really. "Hhhmmm, well. How did you end up here in this place? I mean, become an explorer and all."

He sighs and nods. "Yeah I know, and I'm really not in a rush to evolve just yet." Spark is now wondering how much he is complicating things for everyone else around him

"I'm not sure I understand that question" Khaun says confused. "We've always been here with my pack. Ever since we joined the AEF-" Suddenly his eyes go wide with realization. "OH! You meant your world that we're currently orbiting? Ah, my bad."
Khaun can't help but feel like a little bit of an idiot at that gaff.
"Well, it's a bit of a long story. Back before the Illuminate stopped being isolationist pricks, the AEF was really the only option for the more... well, let's just say 'inter-secies interested' packs when it comes to the military. The defense fleets was more for racist stuck up assholes. Though they're a lot better these days. And civilian work wasn't really for us. That was before The Ruin showed up though, and all the big wars happened. I'm still surprised your planet got spared all that. But anyway, long story short of how we ended up on your world, if that's what you were asking. We ended up getting involved in a lot of conflicts related to Occassus wars, which cost us Renali, and then got caught up with containing the Miniknog, which cost us Eytiu. Losing a pack member... it hits us Avali hard. It's like losing Brene to you, but far far worse. So, we basically decided to stop getting involved in fighting for a while, do a science mission or two, give ourselves time to breath and grieve. Though, we got a little more than we bargined for." Khaun sighed.

"I'm sorry for your losses..." Veera said and gave Khaun a pad on the shoulder. "Since it looks like we won't be staying here long, do you know where we will be going?"

"Thanks. It's been hard. Especially with the loss of Renali." Khaun replies sadly, with a sorrowful nod. "And, well, you'd have to ask Eilumi. I think he says we'll probably just do base level exploring on low-habitation worlds, give you guys some time to train up. Maybe do some anti-piracy patrols or something. I'm not sure. I do know we'll be staying away from the current mess that is the Miniknog."

"I hope it all goes well." She then looks to the side and remained silent for a moment. "......About Shia..."

Khaun listens attentively.
"I'm listening." He says reassuringly.

"I have been thinking if he is still the friend that i know despite what he...did to me. At the time when he was raping me...he was like a completely different pokémon, i thought i had lost him forever..."

"Mmh... "Khaun replies thoughtfully. "Well, I don't really know what he was like to you, but based on Loona's memories he was a very good friend. Are you asking me whether you should forgive him or not?"

"I am...thinkin about it still. I know I was very scared of what he did, but he was always my friend." She sighs. "...You...you think we really meant it when he said he liked when he...raped me...?"

"Well..." Khaun thinks about what to tell her in that situation. This kind of thing... sadly, was never really his area of expertise. That was always Renali's thing. "I'm afraid I'm not really the person to ask when it comes to that. You'd have to talk to Shia himself for that. Or Nine, since he went through something similar with the Miniknog. Probably why he's so sympathetic to Shia. I can tell you that Nine would definitely say 'yes you should at least try.' But if I were to wager a guess..."
He sighs.
"I'm guessing what Shia meant is that his body enjoyed it, while his mind certainly did not, but found no alternative. Otherwise, he wouldn't be remorseful about it."

"Hhhmmm...I guess you are right. I need some time to think about it still...but i remember what we have been through together and i think that maybe i should forgive him..."

"No one is rushing you to do anything" Khaun reassures her. He gets an idea. "Would it help if I or one of the other guys talk to him about it first?" Khaun proposes.

 "We're done here btw, you can go back to talking with Shia now."
He looks off to the side.
"Although, I will probably need to have a talk with him too. About a certain... thing he did." Nine sighs. "A fine mess that Raichu made."

Veera is not exactly sure how much that would help, and she hopes she is not being a burden by dragging them into this more... "If...if you think it will help, then alright."

"Hhhmmm..." He nods and goes back to Shia. "Alright so...as i was saying." The two of then continue to talk to one another, the topic this time seems to be the fact that this ship is...well, a ship, one that flies off into space, they are wondering if that means space is like an ocean that they are going to set sail off to.

"Okay so what exactly do you want me... or Nine for that matter, to ask on your behalf?" Khaun asks.

"Well, it's something like that." Nine joins the coversation. "A bit like an ocean except there's no "top" of it. And it doesn't make you wet, and you can't 'drink' the 'water' or anything. It's... kind of hard to describe, really."

"I don't know exactly..." She sighs. "Maybe...can you tell him that I still care about him?"

"A-are there monsters in it?" Shia asked. Pokémon do live in the ocean back in his world as well, and since space is being compared to an ocean right now...

"Alright. I'll message Nine to pull him aside and tell him." Khaun says. He puts a hand to one of his ears, and holds a moment.

"Kind of. There are robots, sentient rocks, that sort of thing. But not living breathing things like you, or fish. Most of the threats in space come from other travelers, not space denizens."
His face 'turns off' for a split second, then turns back on.
"Um, Shia... I need to talk to you, alone, whenever it's convenient."

Veera looks a bit confused after seeing what he did. "Done? done with what?"

Talk to him alone? Shia wonders why and hopes it's not anything serious. "O-oh...?" "What for?" Spark Asked.

"I told Nine to tell Shia that you still care about him. Over DM... You'll understand once you get your nanites." Khaun explains.

"Yes." Nine says. "It will only take a minute though." He looks to Spark. "It's... private."

Well, if this 'DM' thing is something she is going to learn soon, maybe there is nothing to do but wait. Suddenly a shadow covers her, spooking her and making her look up.
It looks like Joshua has woken up, and just sitting himself up on the operating table accidentally made him loom over both Khaun and Veera. He moves a hand to where that sword once was, feeling that it isn't there anymore. "Thank you again, Khaun."

"Well, alright then..." Spark doesn't believe that Shia might be in trouble, so he decides to leave them alone to talk and goes to some other part of the ship. The Shinx is a little bit anxious though. "S-so...what is it?"

"It's of no issue, Josh" Khuan replies cheerfully. "I see you're well on your way to a full recovery."

Nine watches Spark leave. He didn't mean to chase Spark off, but ah well. "Okay, so... Khaun messaged me to tell you something." Nine says. "It's about Veera..."

He nods. "Yes, of course." Veera is still a bit impressed but more intimidated by Joshua. "Are...feeling alright? Does anything hurt?" "Do not worry, I will be fine."

Nine forms a smile on his visor. "Yes, it just might. You might want to talk to her. " Khaun advises. "It does seem like she wants to talk to you, at least."

Upon entering the big black room, Spark finds Loona and Eilumi. In the room, as they said they were.
However, the two don't notice them. As they're in a rather... compromising position at the moment.
"Mmmph!" Loona moans.
Eilumi is sitting on Loona's lap, the smaller bird being hugged against the somewhat larger Linoone. Their eyes are closed, and their lips are locked with each other.
She slowly opens one eye as they slowly break their kiss, a trail of drool connecting the two of them.
 "Ummm Eilumi?" Loona asks.
"Yes Loona?" Eilumi replies.
"... Why did you put a copy of Spark waist-deep in the water?"
"... I didn't?" Eilumi asks back, raising an eyebrow, and then looking over to see Spark standing there.
They look at him. And they both realize... that he isn't part of the simulation.
"Spark? What?...." Loona stammers

"Well, it is a long story. But I can add to the list of things I need to discuss with you, Eilumi and Nine if that is what you want."

Oh, and you'll likely see a bunch of numbers, words, etc appear in front of your face. This is perfectly normal. It's the heads up display, and they should fade in a couple of minutes."

Getting an injection hurt a little bit, made her wince a little. Then she starts seeing all these strange words and numbers coming into her field of view but Khaun tells her that it is okay so she is keeping calm.
