She instantly fell in love. Initially she simply liked being waited on hand and hoof once more like the good old days, but before long she'd begun to realize just how much stress and frustration she'd been carrying around. Celestia, Luna and the guards were shocked at how visibly the Queen mellowed out and relaxed, wandering around the castle with a sleepy-looking grin and an excess of giggly energy, the still somewhat-harsh attitude of certain other ponies going pretty much completely unnoticed. Notably, when she overheard a haughty stallion snarking about her legs, she laughed aloud and actually quipped back with a more cutting insult she felt he could have used!
Her initial stay turned out to last far more than a week. Celestia was surprised to see her genuinely crestfallen reaction when she brought up the subject of heading back home, so she arranged for a modestly lavish brownstone home to be outfitted for Chrysalis to live in Canterlot full-time. After all, it seemed like she was making progress and slowly forgetting about her hatred for ponies, so it was worth the expense...
As the days passed, she continued to visit the spa, actually becoming a regular there. Her looks even started to improve now that she was actually taking care of them. Her hair was fuller, her lashes longer, the harsh anger lines gradually fading from her face. Ponies still gossiped a little, but her reputation... started to improve, just a little bit, especially among those spagoers who were particularly conscious of how self care could improve a grrl. She even began to appear with friends, double-booking with, um, Fluttershy... then Rarity... then both of them... gently goading the occasional reluctant drone into trying out a massage session as well.
Did I mention she started growing bigger?
Of course, it's my fantasy, of course she did. She'd always been kind of small and scrawny compared to the Princesses, although she'd been almost pathologically fixated on hiding it, only showing her face when her body was exceptionally swollen with love. Now? Well, mmm, I'm no expert on pony anatomy or anything, but if I had to hazard a guess, maybe she was finally coming to be at ease and like herself for who she was, or something. She was finally growing as big as she was always meant to be as one of the alicorns' equals, now that she felt genuinely comfortable with her own body and had no loathing for herself or the outside world. Her old hunger for love largely vanished without the emptiness gnawing at her emotions, instead turning into a far more charming yet ridiculously more slutty lust for size, growy shenanigans, and a fondness for bedding overly hung dickmares like herself.
To help her hive, the Princesses advised her to step back from her position and let new blood fill the role of leader - a new king or queen would probably go a long way in helping the drones get over their toxic servile mentality. When asked about it, that rabble-rouser from before came to mind. Somebug named Fouracks or something, she didn't remember. But last she heard things seemed to be going well enough in her absence. They gave her a generous stipend to live off of, and the gifts her bedmates liked to foist on her helped too.
She continued to visit the spa, although now she was required to use the macro-mare facilities ("for alicorns and the egregiously-gifted"), and compared with her looks on the first day she was genuinely unrecognizable. The way the others treated her had pretty much done a 180, helped out by her relaxed, jovial personality, the Queen settling into a life of lazy retirement like a high-end prostitute. Just another one of Canterlot's assortment of eccentric (read: size-adoring) aristocrats and quasi-celebrities.
Oh, um, and all those gems she had? Well, they were still there, but without a desire to do evil or a desperate need to fill the hole in her soul through frivolous spending, she kind of stopped giving it much thought. Occasionally somepony got it in their head to try and scam some of it from her, but a good BWOOMPHing in bed usually put a stop to that. She might have stopped being evil, but she'd lost none of her mastery of the art of seduction.

\n\t\t\t\t\tSimonAquarius! He was very patient about adjusting certain details despite having to deal with bad internet and a family gathering. Eternal thanks as well to \n\t\t\t\t\tNonSequitur for inspiring this picture idea with an excellent RP that got cut far too short.I want to continue getting pics of Chryssy, but I figured that instead of drawing out the redemption arc (in writing, anyway, I may still commission things showing different parts of it in the future) I might as well just summarize how I'd like it to go all at once. Naturally, it goes without saying that this would be a gradual thing, of course, not "oh let's not foreshadow a huge plot-altering twist then resolve it in the span of a two-parter" like a certain ALICORN TRANSFORMATION hmmmph. Seriously, to make it feel natural it shouldn't be crammed in like that. ^^ Oh, um, though speaking of alicorn TFs... well, I don't know if I would ever get them drawn, but I DO have a headcanon for how that would be different and feel more reasonably paced...
But at any rate, if you read this far, I congratulate you. I know this is all kind of pointless especially since the show ended years ago, but it's what I like. :P Please leave a comment if you can, 'cause I sometimes feel sad that my submissions don't have any. I love to talk about my horny ideas!
