This tragedy happened 9 years ago, just a day before Rush and his twin sister Riley turned 10. Rush's father, named Ryuji, was having a heated argument with his mother, Maxine, who you see in the car. The two were having a debate on where the two should live when it comes to their dear children. Ryuji suggested they live away from the city, close to nature so that they can live in peace without worrying about any paparazzi crowding around them, since Maxine was a SUPER famous music idol. Maxine, on the other hand, wanted to live in luxury on tour, so that the family can attend her shows AND have a much more lively life. The small debate soon turned into a heated argument, raised voices and all. During the shouting, Ryuji suddenly realized that Rush and Riley were standing behind Maxine, though the ranting mother didn't. She kept going until Ryuji shouted "OUR KIDS ARE RIGHT BEHIND YOU, MAX!!!!" In a panic, she turned around to see their beloved children in tears and shaking. "Mom...? Dad...? Why are you yelling...?" Horrified by the sight of their children in fear, Maxine left as she was on her way to a show in town. Ryuji then explained that they wanted what's best for the twins, but as he comforted them, Maxine was driving off into town. At the same time, her boss was on his way there as well... Though he was speeding, irritated that his client had the gall to disobey his commands, and had planned to fire her as soon as the show was over...But the real reason was his attempted rape on her weeks prior, which failed badly since Max was taught some karate by her husband. The rain was heavy as the two made their way down an intersection...Though her boss didn't stop nor see the red light...And then....Well... Let's just say Maxine got lucky when the crash happened and didn't die instantly... About 15 minutes later, Ryuji got a call about his wife being in an accident and immediately took Rush and Riley to the scene. By the time they go there, crowds of people were just standing by, thinking Max was dead. The family eventually pushed through the large crowd and ran towards the wreckage, only to see her barely clinging to life. Ryuji was horrified, Riley covered her mouth and shook with disbelief...But Rush...He ran straight for her and attempted to get her out...But with little effort. Maxine slowly opened her eyes, seeing her family and with her last remaining breaths, she spoke. "It's not your fault...I should've just stayed at home... Don't cry, my son... Mommy's not going away forever... She'll always watch over you, your sister, and your father." Rush was on the verge of tears as he could only watch as her eyes were slowly closing. "I love you all...Now...And forever..." After those words, she passed away, smiling before her body laid limp on the car. The family had lost their most beloved mother and wife, with Ryuji shouting for help and the twins bursting into tears.
