"writing": "Being a camp counselor, there aren’t many things that are exciting. You learn to appreciate the small things. When the church raises enough money to get a new generator, because the old ones are rusted and tend to fail. Exciting! When we can finally go out to the lake since the storms have passed and we can get all the cubs out in the sun so they can stop complaining and swim. Exciting! Being able to watch all those cubs get all wet and naked as I get to watch every curve of their soft little bodies.. Very exciting.\n\nThe camp we run an 8-week event that’s sponsored by the local church. About 40 cubs show up with their bright smiles and excited little faces for fun, adventure, and swimming. Mostly swimming. The 5 of us, myself, Mary, Wakeem, Thomas, and Salem each take about 8 kids and separate them into the 5 sections of the camp. Naming the groups after our species. The Drakes, Avians, Equines, Canines, and Felines respectively. We get to know each “little friend” as we call them, in our groups and they stick with us throughout the 8 weeks. We set up in each of the 5 sections of the camp and do various activities depending on where we stay. The Northern section of the camp is more mountainous, so we call this side of the camp the “Rockies”. Here, campers get to hike and enjoy activities like mountain climbing, cave exploring, and even geological discovery work. We’ve even found a few gems in there with the help of a few experts the church hires out. The Eastern side of the camp we call the “Seaway”. That’s where most of the lakes and rivers around the area are, and where most of the campers want to spend their time. There’s a lot of canoeing, fishing, and swimming lessons that happen over there. The Western side of the camp is denser with forest and fauna. The “Everglades”. A lot of the natural fauna and flora that live in the forest reside there. We teach a bit more survival skills in that side of the forest, showing the cubs how to identify flowers and plants for what’s edible and what’s not, and even identifying some of the wildlife and how to properly document them. The Southern has a little bit of everything, but not too much of anything. The “Medley”. Here we teach them about setting up camps and doing some actual camping outside of the cabins. Since this area has everything from small rivers to a little bit of fauna and flora, and even some small caves, we’re able to be all encompassing in teaching and allowing the cubs to show the skills they learned from the previous 3 parts of the camp. And in the center, we have the “Grounds.” It’s the base of our camp and pretty much where everything is. The cafeteria, showers, main cabins, and counselor cabins are all here. Along with a large watchtower overlooking everything.\n\nUsually, I spend my time at the watchtower. Watching all the little faces pour out of the bus, looking at all their expressions, some excited, some sad, some even seeming a little annoyed, probably from all the noise and chaos on the bus on the ride here. I could tell from the majority of the attitudes this year that we had a pretty lively bunch this year, and even a few returning campers, so seems I had a good variety to choose from this year. The groups are decided by putting a bunch of balls in a pit and letting the campers run in and grab one. Each ball has a number on it and that number determines what group you'll be apart of for the camp. I watched and heard the shrill of little prepubescent voices as they scrambled on top of each other, shirts, shorts, and skirts, flying up and getting pulled down, a wonderful sight for a pervert watching with binoculars. Not that any of them know that.. I felt my shorts tighten as I received a call on the radio that the groups had been chosen and to come meet mine.\n\nAs I approached the center of the site, Wakeem handed me a clipboard with all the camper's names, ages, allergies, ect., and pointed me towards them. They all sat at one of the tables, a few of them seeming a bit chatty, but for the most part they kept to themselves. No returning faces though. Damn.. I was hoping I'd get Dae this year. Oh well. I'm sure I can make it up to him. I'll find out what group he's in later.\n\nThis year my group, the Drakes, started off in the northern region. I gathered my group of cubs and walked towards the Rockies. On the way I introduced myself again and my little friends did the same. A lot of different species this year. There was a little scaly named Max. He was a cute little ten year old green chameleon that didn’t talk much but didn’t mind being with the rest of the group. Cam and Sam, a pair of twelve year old twin dalmatians that couldn’t be more different than each other despite looking almost exactly the same, the only differing feature being where their black spots were, Cam having a black spot on his left ear and the rest of his head white, and Sam having a black spot on his right eye and the rest of his head white. They seemed to be arguing about which Pawer Ranger was the best, and while Cam was loud and boisterous about how the Red Ranger being the leader made him the best, Sam was a bit more calculated and focused on how certain powers made certain rangers better. Behind them, a black horse named Charlie with a white mane that was tied back into a ponytail. He seemed a bit full of himself but at thirteen he was the oldest and I assumed that he recognized that and tried to make himself seem bigger than the others, but he integrated with the twins just fine, jumping into the Pawer Rangers conversation to relieve Max, who had been pulled in the middle to settle the vote, but seemed unsure on picking a side. Two felines, Kailie and Marissa, one a leopard and the other a gray tabby, became quick friends, talking in the back about some boy-band or something I heard on the radio or in passing. Kailie, a fiery eleven year old who was obviously the popular one in school, wore pink nail gloss to match her blonde hair with pink streaks, adamant that the best album was the band’s first. Marissa, a nine year old tomboy who preferred being called “Riss” agreed with her but said that the bands best song wasn’t on that album despite that album being the best. I couldn’t help but watch all their little personalities clash and interact, which would make my job easier as I wouldn’t have to do so many icebreakers. \nTaking another look, however, I saw that there were two in my group that were struggling along and didn’t seem to really fit in with the rest. Whitney, a small brown bear of eight that seemed to instinctively keep himself away from the rest of the group, and an adorable little... chocolate lab mix Named Dakota. Whitney seemed like he had a chip on his shoulder, perhaps from past years, although I didn’t remember him. He seemed to be interested in the talk about the boy-band, but only stayed within earshot, never adding input. Dakota on the other hand… Stood out to me. He was a bit chubby and round, his flabby body bounced with each step and his shorts seemed a little too tight for his... rotund body. He seemed rather interested in the conversations happening but couldn’t really keep up with the rest. his round little body seemed to make it hard to keep up walking and talking. Seeing him falling behind, I slid to the back and offered to hold his hand and help him alone. He smiled brightly with his braced teeth and quickly took my hand, skipping and smiling as he hummed a song I had heard in church once long ago.\n\"How old are you, Dakota?\"\nThe boy looked at me, wide eyed, as he was surprised I took out the time to talk to him.\n\"I..I'm nine.\" \nHearing those words, I couldn’t help but feel a tent growing in my pants. He had a cute little lisp to the way he talked that instantly made me smile. I scanned him over closely, observing every curve and contour of his young pudgy body. His little chest was perky, but not overbearing, bouncing along with the rest of his form as he tried to keep up with my stride. Seeing our cabins in the distance, I challenged my group to run the rest of the way there. I looked down at Dakota and asked if he’d like to run too. He looked up at me and smiled, clearly winded. With a nod ‘yes’ I picked him up and piggy backed him the rest of the way. With his girlish squeals and laughs ringing in my ears, as he held onto my horns, a devious smile crept across my face. I squeezed his chunky thigh and leg tight. With such a wonderful little thing to appreciate I couldn’t help but feel just a little bit excited. This was going to be an exciting year.\n",

He seemed to be interested in the talk about the boy-band, but only stayed within earshot, never adding input. Dakota on the other hand&hellip; Stood out to me. He was a bit chubby and round, his flabby body bounced with each step and his shorts seemed a little too tight for his... rotund body. He seemed rather interested in the conversations happening but couldn&rsquo;t really keep up with the rest. his round little body seemed to make it hard to keep up walking and talking. Seeing him falling behind, I slid to the back and offered to hold his hand and help him alone. He smiled brightly with his braced teeth and quickly took my hand, skipping and smiling as he hummed a song I had heard in church once long ago.<br />&quot;How old are you, Dakota?&quot;<br />The boy looked at me, wide eyed, as he was surprised I took out the time to talk to him.<br />&quot;I..I&#039;m nine.&quot; <br />Hearing those words, I couldn&rsquo;t help but feel a tent growing in my pants. I looked down at Dakota and asked if he&rsquo;d like to run too. He looked up at me and smiled, clearly winded. With a&nbsp;&nbsp;nod &lsquo;yes&rsquo; I picked him up and piggy backed him the rest of the way. With his girlish squeals and laughs ringing in my ears, as he held onto my horns, a devious smile crept across my face. I squeezed his chunky thigh and leg tight. With such a wonderful little thing to appreciate I couldn&rsquo;t help but feel just a little bit excited. This was going to be an exciting year.<br /></span>",
