Tell me, little one…” the snake cooed at Rufus when he noticed the shy mammal’s presence. “Are you losssssst…?” Rufus would have normally been a tad bit offended at being called ‘little one’, as if a child, but when the wolf stared up into the tree from which the snake hung, Rufus realized he truly WAS the ‘little one’. The snake’s body twisted and coiled all along the thick and sizable tree branch from which he hung. The wolf found that he couldn’t be absolutely sure where in fact the snake’s body finally ended. Perhaps he had been foolish to trust the python, but something about the look in the snake’s eyes had told Rufus that the old snake KNEW something. Rufus was suspicious, but needed help wherever he could find it, so he nodded at the snake and said, “Y-yes. I am… please, tell me. Do you know the way back to the path?” The snake moved up to eye level with the wolf and screwed his eyes shut, as if lost in intense thought. “Oh yessssssss, the path… I think I know where that sssssssssssssilly old place is…” the snake said, feigning the recall of memory. “Just promisssssssse me one thing, little one…” the python cooed, opening one eye widely with a wicked grin, his forked tongue flicking out against the wolf’s nose. Rufus shifted nervously, and shrugged, his ears flattening down on his head. “Uh… s-sure! What is it Mr…?” “Kaa…” the snake said, introducing himself and wrapping his body around Rufus’ shoulder, flicking his tongue out at one of the wolf’s ears now. “Many call me ‘Kaa’… but YOU, my sssssssssssweet little wolf…” the snake began, his eyes widening and beginning to change colors. “… may call me ‘Ssssssssssssssiiiiiir’… “ Rufus felt the fog immediately fall over his thoughts, his whole body going limp as the snake’s hissing began to have a much more… sensual effect on him. Rufus found he just couldn’t look away from the swirling, hypnotic colors in Kaa’s eyes. Kaa chuckled as he watched the young naïve wolf’s body go limp, almost immediately succumbing to his gaze. Oh, this would be sweet indeed. And there were no creatures around to distract the either of them. The link between them would be almost inseparable with the jungle this silent. The python wasted no time coiling around the wolf a few times and pressing his snout into the side of the young wolf’s face, doubling his efforts to entrance him. “Tell me, little one….” The snake cooed, his lips curling up into a grin. “Do you trusssssssssssssst meeee…?” Rufus’ mind was so fogged that he could barely remember why he was lost in the first place. All he could hear and see was Kaa, and those swirling, colorful eyes. “Y-yes…. Yes sir…” the wolf replied, almost whimpering. “Gooooooooood…” the snake hissed, smiling, hoisting up the small wolf into the air, above the jungle canopy. Nothing would disturb the serpent tonight.
