Stranded: A WarKnight Adventure
This summer break I read Stranded. It was really good. It was all about the Royal WarKnights who are awesome. The two main characters are Knight-Lieutenant Alex Carter and Knight-Sergeant Zach Williams, brothers who came from the cat city, Camelot. They joined the WarKnights because they wanted to become the best soldiers of the Royalist Military, and they do that by getting Bionic Energy injected into them, making them even more powerful than ever before!
It all started when a bunch of bandit airships attacked their dropship. They were just coming back from a battle against some rebel insurgents hiding in some secret base of theirs. Alex and Zach were on the dropship when a rebel ExoBird shot their carrier down. The two had no choice but to jump out before it crashes. It’s a good thing they got boosters on their backs so they wont fall to the ground hard so easily. They both survive, but they see their dropship crash on the rocky terrain, and all of their ExoBirds were destroyed with it. With only their cool Sword Rifles and armor, both Alex and Zach had to survive in enemy territory while calling for help. They also have to learn to work together as a team too.
There was this very cool battle scene, where both WarKnights snuck into a rebel compound to request a distress call. The bad guys found out and started fighting both Alex and Zach. They each took a rebel ExoBird and started blasting the rebels before Royalist reinforcements came to rescue them. After that, Alex and Zach were awarded with shiny medals because they were so badass!
Reading this book was really fun. It was a bit boring at first but I’m glad I stuck with it because the battles were so cool. Everyone knows that the WarKnights are some of the best ExoBird Pilots in Ferreria and ride in some really cool ExoBirds! My big brother Joey wanted to join the WarKnights but was rejected for some reason because he’s a dog, even though they did had dogs in the WarKnights a long long time ago. I hope one day I can become one of the first dog WarKnights in a long while and be just like Alex and Zach so I can ride the cool robots too! So I think everybody should read this book.

Teacher’s note #1: While Ronny’s enthusiasm for the WarKnights is admirable, I am concerned that his desire to join them may set him up for disappointment in the future. Since the Unification War ended with the Feline Faction in control, the WarKnights have been reportedly recruiting from those in the Feline species. Ronny’s chances of joining the WarKnights are slim to none since he is of the dog species. Will have to seek advisement for this matter.
Teacher’s note #2: I was told not to worry about it as people who don’t get to become WarKnights will eventually get over it and earn their citizenship via other means. But that’s just ignoring the problem. If this goes unanswered, I fear that Ronny may take it out on society end up causing trouble for the kingdom down the road.
