", "writing": "[center]Nyarai’s Specialty of the House[/center]\n\n\tIt was another workday for Nyarai at Club Nighthawk. Tonight she was dressed in a purple dress, wearing silver necklace with sapphires, and golden earrings, anklets, and armlets. Her client this night was a hippo that was boring her to death talking about his business.\n\n\t[i]Keep smiling and praising him.[/i]\n\n\tIt was easy…the first few minutes. She had practice. But the hippo was so full of himself. She had clients that were arrogant regarding their business, but at least they tried to pretend they were classy.\n\n\tThen he asked if she was a Wild. \n\n\t[i]There it goes again.[/i]\n\n\tShe wasn’t strange of that question nor any of the claims the hippo stated afterwards, but they still pissed her off. He claimed she couldn’t read and that the only book she ever read was a comic book. He asked if Wilds were wild on bed. The last one he asked while groping her breasts.\n\n\tShe initially tried to ask her composure, but she let her mask slip when he was getting too grabby with her. He kept insisting and rationalizing. She was getting ready to give him the beating he deserved.\n\n\t[i]Control yourself. He’s a client![/i]\n\n\t“There seems to be an inconvenience?” \n\n\tIt was Shun who interrupted the confrontation. He politely asked the hippo to leave the place. The hippo responded by arrogantly throwing money at him.\n\n\t“So, you won’t listen?” Shun asked, dropping his friendly smile for a colder and more threatening one. “How unfortunate…no one can help you then. Deal with him as you see fit.”\n\n\t“Finally!” Nyarai stood and gave a savage grin.\n\n\tIn a swift movement, she stood up and gave an arching high kick with a leg. The top of her foot struck the hippo across the face. With her speed and reflex, Nyarai enjoyed the hippo’s suffering thanks to the impact of her kick.\n\n\tShe could see his cheek swell when her foot him. She saw one eye snap shut and the other staring into space, tears coming out of them from the sting of the kick. All the sweat that was resting on his face was literally smacked out of him. \n\n\tPAM!\n\n\tAt the same time, she heard the sound of her kick, she felt her foot hit the snout. In a surprising amount of self-control, Nyarai’s foot only pushed a bit to stop her kick to avoid permanently hurting him. It wasn’t worth destroying her Combagal career for a guy like him. Besides, she could still see the effects of her blow perfectly. \n\n\tThe guy’s face was twisted, blood coming out of his mouth. Snot was running down his nose due to the damage on his snout. One eye looked like it was nearly popping out. And there was still sweat flying out of his fat face.\n\n\tAnother second passed and the hippo was sent flying out of the club. Nyarai calmly followed him and watched as he crashed into some posts. After stomping him out and getting an apology out of him, Nyarai watched as the hippo ran away into the night.\n\n\tIt was a bad night. The only good thing is that Shun promised her that she’d be in Freydar’s team once Cookie makes her return to furry fighting.\n\n\t[i]A star shinning brghter than anyone else.[/i]\n\n\tSometime later, Nyarai was back at home doing her morning stretches. She was doing bridge stretches when she heard her phone ringing. Balancing on her hands, Nyarai stretched her body, using her long legs so that she could pick her phone with her feet. In a display of dexterity, she slowly brought the phone to her face and started pressing the buttons with her toes.\n\n\t“It’s a message from Shun,” Nyarai observed. \n\n\tIt was an article on Spotter Online. It was titled “Café Carrot Chaos” and it detailed Cookie’s comeback as a manager. Apparently, her new Combagal was a perverted bunny with no fighting skills that was beaten by a biker. The worst part was…this pervert was supposed to be her partner!\n\n\t“That little skinflint!” Nyarai gritted her teeth as she cut her stretching exercise, standing up so that she could pick the phone with her hands and better read the article.\n\n\tShe remembered a few days ago, back during their previous talk. Cookie had shamelessly asked Nyarai for money so that she could make a comeback. Nyarai refused on the ground that she didn’t find her a partner and that she could easily switch agencies if she felt like it. The shameless squirrel then tried to play the Wild Card on her so Nyarai stomped her to the floor and let her know that if she didn’t find her a suitable partner then she was going to switch agencies and fight the Combagal Cookie got.\n\n\t[i]“I will make her regret this,[/i]” Nyarai texted Shun.\n\n\t[i]“It’s okay,[/i]” Shun texted back. “[i]Stick to the plan. You will get revenge on Cookie and the inept partner she brought you.”[/i]\n\n\tReading the text calmed Nyarai down. It was true. It didn’t matter how adept or inept Nyarai’s partner was going to be, she was going to betray them anyway.\n\n\tShe got a call from Cookie with a few minutes later.\n\n\t“Go to Club Steppin Wolf. It’s time to meet your new partner. You and her will have your debut match against Team Executor. You will debut as Team Deliverance and win the Masato Championship in your first match. We will discuss the details at the club.”\n\n\tA sadistic smile spread across Nyarai’s lips as she texted the information to Shun’s phone. She got a message with instructions.\n\n\t“At least you’ll give me a good debut match, Cookie.”\n\n\n\tNyarai reached Club Steppin Wolf early. She was wearing a dress with stripes. This time around she was wearing thick earrings. Golden rings were adorning her neck. She also brought a purse with her. \n\n\tCookie and Team Executor were already there. As soon as the squirrel began speaking, Nyarai reached into her speaker and turned on a tape recorder she had hidden there. All she needed to do was record the whole conversation and wait for something incriminating.\n\n\t[i]I might as well give myself a manicure while I wait.[/i]\n\n\tWhile she filed her nails, Nyarai listened to Cookie’s proposal. She was trying to convince the manager of Team Executor, an old turtle named Dinedon, to let them win the match and the championship.\n\n\t[i]In other words, I’m the one who has to do all the heavy lifting while this Muko girl barely contributes at all.[/i]\n\n\tCookie came up with a storyline angle. Since Peki and Adelgund was a Wild in a tag team partner, sales had drop considerably due to incidents with Wilds. Even though Peki was a Face and a powerful Combagal worthy of being a champion, the paranoia apparently didn’t help the sales. Dinedon then forced Peki to become a Heel and lose to Adelgund into a fight, becoming her prisoner and losing her champion belt to her. She lost her popularity while Adelgund’s increased. However, the audience eventually grew bored of it.\n\n\t[i]No surprise there, the public is very fickle when it comes to Wilds.[/i]\n\n\tCookie’s idea was for Team Deliverance to defeat Adelgund and to use the chance for Peki to redeem herself and become a Face again.\n\n\t[i]I doubt I see that farce working.[/i]\n\n\tTo seal the deal, Cookie paid Dinedon twenty thousand Moni to earn his cooperation.\n\n\t[i]Now this is something I’m sure will work. [/i]\n\n\tNyarai paid closer attention to the conversation. She was sure that with the recorder still working that she could get incriminating evidence in the next sentences.\n\n\tTo her surprise, Cookie managed to get Dinedon to cooperate. \n\n\t[i]Well, the match is happening. But let’s see what else I can get from her.[/i]\n\n\t“Now what did I say, Nyarai?” Cookie asked happily. Once I’d find your tag team partner I arrange a match within a week! Just as I promised! See?”\n\n\tThe words of Dinedon as he mentioned Trilamity Day, the event that cost Freydar her career entered her mind. Not to mentioned how long it took Cookie to find her a partner and how that partner was a pervert. \n\n\t[i]Freydar lost everything… to this incompentent midget? Well then, I’m going to give her a piece of my mind.[/i]\n\n\tTaking out her phone, Nyarai showed her the article of Café Carrot Chaos. Hiding her fury behind a smile, the cheetah watched as Cookie hid her incompetence behind compelling words. \n\n\tThe act of spite nearly costed her as Adelgund picked up the phone and read the article. Surprisingly enough, she gave a simple answer.\n\n\t“I think I prefer her over Nyarai!” she stated before checking out a stripper.\n\n\tThe conversation continued before Muko finally entered the club. To Nyarai’s dismay, she was very clingy, bombarding her with questions about her personal life. She acted more like a fangirl than a Combagal.\n\n\tShe hated her guts already.\n\n\tFortunately, she shut up when she saw that Adelgund was one of her opponents. As it turns out, so Cookie was allowed to dictate the time of the match. Once it was decided, Nyarai left the club and turned off her recorder, returning to Shun.\n\n\n\t“You got anything we can use?” Shun asked back at Club Nighthawk.\n\n\t“Cookie bribed Dinedon and he accepted it without any problem,” Nyarai gave Shun the recording, hoping that he could find more to use.\n\n\t“Excellent,” Shun smiled. “I’ll make sure to do some payments to make sure your match goes as you want it to go. I also made sure to put a spy in the files of Team Executor to make sure you get a more proper partner than the one Cookie gave you.”\n\n\tIt didn’t take her too much to figure out what he did. “You sent one of your girls to seduce Adelgund?”\n\n\t“I did,” he smiled. “Fame does get you to fall on vices as you can see by her large number of assistants. Her partnership with Peki is an example of Wild discrimination that you can use for our cause.”\n\n\t“I’m surprised she didn’t break up with her since she forced her to turn Heel,” Nyarai scoffed. “Sales or not, I wouldn’t trade my dignity for profit. And if my partner forced me to do that and reaped rewards for my sacrificed I’d make her suffer for it.”\n\n\t“And that’s why when we make our entrance you will convince Peki to join you and help you dethrone Adelgund, who will have to tag with the inexperienced Muko,” Shun explained. “The two of you will become champions of justice for the Wilds once you become the new Masato champions.”\n\n\t“About time,” Nyarai smiled. She had waited so long and now she was going to fight. She was going to show the world what she could do. And the best way was getting a champion belt.\n\n\t“Get ready,” Shun told her. “We will make history for the Wilds.”\n\n\n\tIt was time for the big fight. Nyarai was dressed in a black leotard and a light colored scarf. Next to her was Muko. Unlike their previous meeting she was awfully silent. She could see from the eyes of the rabbit that she was getting nervous for her first match.\n\n\t[i]Amateur. You’re telling me you’re feeling stage fright at this time. You really know how to pick them Cookie.[/i]\n\n\tThe two of them had to wait as Cookie was giving an introductory speech for the two of them. From the reaction of the public calling bullshit or referring to Cookie as a child, she could see that Cookie was not a good public speaker with her height.\n\n\t“Welcome! Muko and Nyarai! Together they are Team Deliverance!”\n\n\tThe two of them walked into the stage. After they reached the ring, Team Executor entered the ring to the approval of the public.\n\n\t[i]I wonder how much they will approve once Shun comes in.[/i]\n\n\tWith the match starting, Muko was the one who got into the ring and rushed straight against Adelgund. The fight was very boring for Nyarai. Back at Club Steppin Wolf, it was decided that Muko needed experience fighting Combagals so it was decided that she was going to fight Adelgund with Nyarai stepping in when she needed help.\n\n\t[i]Except that I won’t save her.[/i]\n\n\tNyarai barely paid attention to the match, turning her back at the ring and yawning. As expected, even with Adelgund holding back, Muko was barely holding on as she was grabbed, spun, and slammed into the mat in quick succession by the shepherd dog.\n\n\tAs Adelgund relished in the cheer of the crowd, Muko took the chance to crawl back into her corner to where Nyarai was waiting. At this point, Nyarai was looking at the beaten bunny with a grin on her face. As Muko reached a hand for her, the cheetah turned her back on her partner, giving Adelgund a chance to continue the fight.\n\n\t[i]Why would I tag somebody who doesn’t have what it takes to be a Combagal?[/i]\n\n\tIn a sudden miracle, Muko escaped from a hold with a surprise kick and then hit Adelgund with a combo of a drop kick followed by a clothesline. To the crowd, it was a good combo, but to Nyarai it was clear that Adelgund was overselling and that Muko only knew basic skills.\n\n\t[i]If that’s the best you can do, then I don’t see any use in letting you fight anymore. I’m tagging in now.[/i]\n\n\tAdelgund stood up from Muko’s attacks and then tagged Peki in. \n\n\t“Oi!” Nyarai called once she saw Muko take a fighting pose. She had her hand extended, ready to tag in. “I’ve seen too much! Get lost!”\n\n\t “Nyarai! My friend!” Muko tagged her in. “Thank you!”\n\n\tThe cheetah laughed to herself.\n\n\t[i]You won’t think that once you see what’s coming to you.[/i]\n\n\t“Let’s end this farce!” she said as she faced Peki. Turning at the penguin, Nyarai announced her intentions. “Go!”\n\n\tBalancing on one leg, Nyarai swung a chambered leg and threw it from above, intending to swing it downward to Peki’s head. In the meanwhile, Peki crouched and sprung forward, curling her flipper into a fist in an attempt to punch Nyarai. She didn’t know which was faster her kick or the penguin’s punch. And she wasn’t going to find out thanks to the following interruption.\n\n\t“Nyarai from the inner desert. Peki from the northern ice-planes. Don’t fight each other. Wilds shouldn’t fight against Wilds. Instead, fight against your common enemy. Fight against your real enemy! Your real enemy is right here. It is… manager Cookie.”\n\n\tIt was Shun. And in one swift moment he earned the attention of everyone. Using the recorder Nyarai gave him, Shun incriminated Dinedon, Cookie, and Adelgund. The effect was immediate, while Dinedon and Adelgund were somewhat safe due to the popularity of Team Executor, all of the audience’s glares were focused almost exclusively on Cookie.\n\n\tAdelgund attempted to have Shun restrained by having her assitants arrest him, but Shun had her Cyclone Crushers close to him as his personal bodyguards to continue his speech.\n\n\tWith the momentum in Shun’s favor, Nyarai knew that her time to shine finally came. Putting her claws in her leotard, she tore of her clothes to reveal the bikini she wore and intended to use for the real fight.\n\n\t“I join the Cyclone Crushers!” Nyarai declared proudly and relieved to finally cut ties with Cookie. She turned her eyes on Peki and told her what she needed to hear for a long time.\n\n\t“Come with me, Peki! No one gives Wilds a fair chance! You always stood in Adelgund’s shadow! But now this can change! Here stands a man who gives us a chance to prove our real worth! Let’s fight those who fight us!”\n\n\t“Peki!” Adelgund cried out. “Don’t listen to that bitch!”\n\n\t“Adelgund…I have enough of playing your prisoner,” Peki whispered as she grabbed the collar that symbolized that. “This is the end! I want to break free!”\n\n\tPeki tore off her collar and her swimsuit to reveal a more revealing swimsuit underneath that one. With that gesture, her alliance with Nyarai was already forged.\n\n\t“This is your true debut!” Shun gestured on the microphone. “Get ready! Overthrow the fake idol of justice! Team Firestorm!”\n\n\tWith Nyarai taking Peki away from her, Adelgund immediately made Muko her new partner and sent her into the ring. The perverted bunny, entranced by seeing the two Combagals took a few seconds to realize what was happening and who was going to be her new opponent.\n\n\t“Wait a sec,” Muko futilely. raised her hands as Nyarai pounced with clawed hands and feet. “Aren’t we friends?”\n\n\t“Friends?!” Nyarai laughed as her hands grabbed Muko by the head and slammed her to the mat while her feet pinned the bunny’s arms to prevent her from fighting back. “Whatever gave you the impression we could be friends? Nothing connects us! We’re worlds apart, bug!”\n\n\tShe kicked Muko to the side so that she could have better access to her back. Sitting on top of the bunny’s back, Nyarai hooked her hands underneath her opponent’s neck and hooked her legs beneath her arms to perform a clutch.\n\n\t“You have no clue what real furry fighting is all about!” Nyarai pulled on Muko’s neck before twisting it. “It’s all about pain!”\n\n\t“But…” Muko wheezed due to lack of oxygen, tears welling up on her eyes. “It should be fun and sexy!”\n\n\t“Idiot,” Nyarai stopped holding her neck and instead yanked the bunny’s legs. “I really hate this attitude!”\n\n\tMuko screamed in pain, tears and drool coming out of her face from the agony Nyarai was putting her through.\n\n\t“Muko!” Cookie called in alarm. “Grab the rope!”\n\n\tLittle by little, the amateur Combagal crawled across the mat until she grabbed the rope. The referee then separated them to Nyarai’s mild disappointment.\n\n\t“You wanna hurt me?” Muko stumbled, shaking from the strain of trying to stand up. “Go right ahead. I’m an easy target. But what about Cookie?! Everything she made for us to become great Combagals!”\n\n\t“You really fell for her crap?!” Nyarai lunged at Muko and nailed her with a punch to the gut. The blow knocked the wind out of her.\n\n\t“Let me guess,” Nyarai wrapped her legs around Muko’s neck and body while her arm was locking Muko’s own. “She told you a sappy childhood story about how she wants to help others achieve their dreams? Did she also tell you that she’s a devastator of dreams?”\n\n\t“Nyarai!” Cookie called as the cheetah was using another wrestling hold to torture Muko. “Whatever you call me, unlike Shun Gonfano, I’m not a criminal! Working for him make you the sumiguza’s puppet! Of all people…when did you decided to turn on his side?”\n\n\t“You’re so oblivious!” Nyarai sneered. “I’ve always been on his side!”\n\n\t“What are you talking about?” Cookie asked, shock evident on her face. “When did you have time to join his agency?”\n\n\t“I told you I work as a hostess,” Nyarai chuckled. “That’s true, only I never worked in Club Diamond! You didn’t bother to check where I really worked. The truth is I work at Shun Gonfano’s hostess club, The Nighthhawk!”\n\n\t“That’s impossible!” Cookie grabbed the ropes. “Only Pro-Combagals can work as hostesses for Shun Gonfano!”\n\n\t“Shun knew I had my fair experience as a Combagal!” Nyarai grinned savagely as she used a suplex and clutch technique to choke Muko and look at Cookie at the same time. “He promised to help me out with a problem of my past if I did a favor in return!”\n\n\t“What…favor?” Cookie asked in fright.\n\n\t“Being a mole in your agency!” Nyarai confirmed with a laugh. “I had to be a spy getting inside information by pretending to join your agency! You had no doubt about my loyalty-while all the time I provided Shun information about your planed comeback into furry-fighting!”\n\n\t“You’ve been Shun’s spy all along?” Cookie asked, eyes tearing up.\n\n\t“Don’t you wonder why Shun has a recording of your strip club conversation?” Nyarai asked as she picked Muko by the scruff of her neck and then slapped her in the chest. “Take a guess who made this record!”\n\n\t“You?” Cookie was sweating. “Damn, Nyarai…Doing all this for him…You don’t know how dangerous this man Shun Gonfano really is…!\n\n\t“Don’t get me wrong!” Nyarai was sitting down, wrapping her legs around Muko’s neck in a scissorhold. “Putting up this act annoyed me beyond limits! But I didn’t do it just for Shun bur rather for her sake! For the life you have taken!”\n\n\tThe image of Freydar spread on Nyarai’s head.\n\n\t“Why,” Muko sobbed. “Just why…why did you leave us?!”\n\n\t“Ha! What a crybaby!” Nyarai laughed. “Don’t you see? This is what you get! Make one wrong friend and you get a whole lot of unwanted enemies!”\n\n\tAt the last proclamation, Nyarai slammed Muko’s head over and over until she was bleeding from the forehead. The assault was too much for Muko, who started crying out for her mother. Nyarai laughed in sadism afterwards. She threw her to the floor and watched as Adelgund tagged her out.\n\n\t“I see you’re not hatched yet,” she told the defeated Muko. “So I’ll end this misery for you!”\n\n\t“So you finally stopped hiding!” Nyarai smirked at Adelgund.\n\n\t“I’ll show you how fake I am!” Adelgund growled.\n\n\tNyarai dashed forward with hands outstretched. She was aiming for the knees. A giant like Adelgund would lack agility so being lifted from the ground and thrown would severely damage her.\n\n\tThis is your end!\n\n\tCrack!\n\n\tAdelgund’s knee slammed into Nyarai’s snout. \n\n\t“You wanted to lift me off my feet, huh,” Adelgund observed scornfully. “And you think none tried that before?”\n\n\tNyarai jumped away from the impact. Horror dawned on her as blood was coming out of her nose. With the way it was going, she was going to lose consciousness.\n\n\t[i]I got too cocky. I need to tag Peki in now.[/i]\n\n\tWalking away from Adelgund, Nyarai was stumbling into the opposite corner until she saw Peki. Her hand tapped Peki’s flipper and then she fainted into the arms of Jowdie, the nicest member of the Cyclone Crushers.\n\n\t“Na-Chan!” Jowdie screamed. \n\n\tNyarai heard her fellow Cyclone Crushers get close to her. But she couldn’t hear anything else. Everything just faded to black.\n\n\n\t[i]I let my guard down![/i]\n\n\tShe was in the darkness. She couldn’t see anything, but she was still capable of hearing a few things. They were muffled, but Nyarai could recognize some familiar sounds from experience. She recognized the concerned voices of her teammates, the cacophony of noises that were in the ring that was being made in the fight between Peki and Adelgund, and the cheering that was brought in the crowd by the spectacle. \n\n\t[i]It sounds like an exciting match. Who’s winning? Is it Peki or is it Adelgund?[/i]\n\n\tRegardless of who won, all of her efforts would have been for naught. If Adelgund won, then Team Firestorm lost and then Shun’s plans and her debut were ruined. That was a stain that could never be removed from her reputation. And if Peki won, even if this advanced Shun’s agenda for the Wilds, she’d be marked in history as the partner who got knocked out in the first round.\n\n\t[i]I won’t let it end like this! I’m waking up as soon as possible. I didn’t do all this spy work at that second-rate agency to lose like this![/i]\n\n\tShe was a pro-level Combagal. No. She was beyond pro-level. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared from her friend’s arms and went back into the corner of the ring.\n\n\t“To me, Peki!” she called out grabbing into a rope with one arm and extending her other arm to tag her in.\n\n\tPeki was clutching a broken arm with her flipper, tears running down her face as she was staring at her new partner for salvation.\n\n\t“Run to your partner then!” Adelgund kicked Peki in the back. “But you will regret it!” Adelgund, tears running down her face, stomped on Peki’s leg to punctuate her point. “Because that bitch is no team player!”\n\n\tPeki let out another scream of pain as she felt her fragile leg get shattered under Adelgund’s boot.\n\n\t“You can’t do this!” the referee told Adelgund. “I’ll disqualify…”\n\n\tHe didn’t get to finish his threat as the champion knocked him out with a push of her large hand. Adelgund then walked to Peki and stomped on her other leg.\n\n\t“Come here, Peki!” Nyarai stretched out her hand further so that the injured penguin could reach it. “Just a bit further! You can do it!”\n\n\tUpon seeing the injured penguin, crying and broken, and how Adelgund had been acting these last few minutes, the crowd turned against her. They started booing and jeering at her while turning all of their support to Nyarai. The cheetah ignored them as she focused on tagging Peki. Finally, her hand finally touched that flipper.\n\n\t“I’ll put this mad dog down!” she swore as she finally entered the ring.\n\n\tWith Peki tagged out, the Cyclone Crushers brought the agonizing penguin to a stretcher to provide her with medical care. Seeing her suffering, the audience started jeering at Adelgund and cheering for Nyarai to take her down.\n\n\t[i]How fickle. They were praising Adelgund and jeering at me and Peki for our so called betrayal. And yet the second the fight turns too brutal they turn to me to take down their villain. It doesn’t matter. I’m not fighting for their approval.[/i]\n\n\t“I underestimated you,” Nyarai wiped the blood from her snout with the back of her hand. “Seems a champion of Botaun actually is worth fighting seriously against!”\n\n\t“With that broken nose you should have stayed asleep!” Adelgund sneered.\n\n\t“Nothing…” Nyarai pulled back her leg and swung it, hitting Adelgund square in the gut. “…is broken!”\n\n\t[i]This is one of the reasons I love fighting against large opponents. It’s impossible to miss when you have so much to hit.[/i]\n\n\tAdelgund recoiled from the blow, but she remained standing. “You have a strong kick,” she gritted her teeth before extending her hands to Nyarai’s earrings. “But these ridiculous earrings of yours are just too easy to grab.”\n\n\tOnce again, Nyarai was hit with a knee, this time it was aimed to her forehead. A small cut open as blood was spilling out from her head. With the way Nyarai was staggering, Adelgund took her chance to attack.\n\n\t“This…” she elbow-dropped Nyarai on the throat, pinning her to the mat. “…will be…” she once again grabbed those earrings and pulled them up to lift Nyarai’s head. “…your defeat!” Adelgund finished the hold by grabbing Nyarai from one ankle.\n\n\t“That’s what you get for not playing by the rules!” Adelgund declared firmly as she placed her knee on Nyarai’s spine. “You’re trapped in my most dangerous submission hold! The Spine Breaker!”\n\n\tAt seeing the move performed on her, one of the announcers made this declaration.\n\n\t“Adelgund holds down Nyarai with her whole body weight! With no space left to move, Nyarai’s situation is hopeless!”\n\n\tThe situation is hopeless. Nyarai smiled as she cupped her face with one hand. But I’m not the hopeless one as everyone will find out.\n\n\t“Would you like to explain…how exactly did you win now?” Nyarai asked teasingly, not all scared with her current situation.\n\n\t“Idiot!” Adelgund sneered. “If you don’t submit, I’ll break your backbone. You’ll end up disabled!”\n\n\t“Oh how scary!” Nyarai mock cried, using crocodile tears from the acting skills she learned as a hostess. “I’ll be disabled for the rest of my life?” Her expression turned into one of maniac laughter. “Be my guest then!”\n\n\tAdelgund stared at her incredulously.\n\n\t[i]You don’t really have the right to play moral high ground after what you did to Peki in the previous round.[/i]\n\n\t“Breaking arms and legs, why not backbones as well?” Nyarai mocked sadistically, sticking out her tongue like a deranged killer. “While you’re at it, why not go all the way to become a murderer? Wouldn’t it be fun to kill a Combagal?”\n\n\t“Have you gone crazy now?” Adelgund asked, feeling a bit intimidated with the cheetah’s teasing.\n\n\t“You’re hesitating?” Having doubts?” Second thoughts? Not so sure after all? All barking and no biting?” Nyarai asked and teased hysterically before her face twisted to disappointment. “Bo-ring. I’ll do it myself.”\n\n\tTensing the muscles of her shoulders, spine, and leg, Nyarai broke free of Adelgund’s hold, by breaking her spine in the process. An inhuman snapping sound reverberated across the ring.\n\n\tOutside of the ring, her fellow Cyclone Crushers were screaming and crying at her predicament. Inside of the ring, Adelgund was horrified, not wanting things to go that far. At her feet, Nyarai was screaming and trying to stand up.\n\n\t“The pain! The pain!” Nyarai screamed, tears and drool coming out of her face. As she kept screaming, Nyarai’s body was making twitching and popping noises as she slowly was getting back on her feet. Adelgund was left speechless in horror as the cheetah whose spine she broke stood up just fine. “Just kidding,” Nyarai stuck out her tongue.\n\n\t“By the way, my earrings are just a trap!” Nyarai bent her spine forward to put it back into place, clarifying her health with a loud snapping sound.\n\n\t“Bam..” Nyarai folded herself vertically and continued until she was pointing at Adelgund. “…boozled!” She shot the dog with two finger guns just to rub her flexibility in her opponent’s face.\n\n\t“That’s impossible!” Adelgund recoiled at seeing such flexibility. “To move like that! Your back was all twisted!”\n\n\tDeciding to give one demonstrating of flexibility, Nyarai lifted her left leg and folded it behind her head, grabbing her ankle so that her foot was near the right side of her face. Her right hand was twisted as she held the ankle and her left arm was folded behind her left leg and head. \n\n\t“You know,” Nyarai licked her foot, knowing she was going to use it for the massacre that was about to take place. “Submission holds don’t work on me. Because I am unbreakable!”\n\n\t“You’re kidding me!” Adelgund cried out. “You’re unnatural!”\n\n\tNyarai grinned as she unfolded herself to take a kicking stance. She released her pent up energy as a fiery aura surrounding her body.\n\n\tTruthfully, not even her fellow Cyclone Crushers knew the true extent of her abilities. She didn’t expect to use it so soon. But this fight was truly worth using it.\n\n\t“Have a taste of what I have to give!” Nyarai threw a kick similar to the first one. Unlike the previous one, this kick was faster, stronger, and wreathed in flames. Right before the impact, Nyarai could see Adelgund’s frightened face before her foot could hit her square in the snout.\n\n\tShe had seen that expression countless times in her customers’ faces every time she was about to punish them for getting fresh with her. To see that same expression in a pro-level Combagal, a champion no less, was totally priceless.\n\n\tPAH!\n\n\tHer kick connected in a jumping flaming arc. Adelgund was sent tumbling down, blood spitting out of her snout. At the last second, she stumbled forward with clenched fists, ready to fight back. At the same time, Nyarai was charging with her leg burning and swinging.\n\n\t“The specialty of the house!” she called out as she spun on her normal leg and used the flaming one to deliver a barrage of kicks to Adelgund. “Leg-Jet Burst!”\n\n\tRealizing that the kicks were going to be too fast for her to intercept, Adelgund used her large arms to cover herself. She remained firm, but the sound of Nyarai’s leg striking down her arms was unnatural.\n\n\t“Guess what time it is!” Nyarai yelled as she was increasing the speed of her kicks and throwing them at different angles. “Time to go to hell!”\n\n\tThrough the gap in the champion’s guard, Nyarai could see how her kicks were taking a toll on Adelgund. The pain was getting to her thanks to the constant assault in her arms. As she kept on going, the crowd and the comments cheered on.\n\n\t“Nyarai’s speed is beyond comparison! Her moves become a blur! Every impact sounds like firecrackers! Adelgund finds no opening! All she can do is block this volley of kicks!”\n\n\tNyarai kept on kicking, increasing the speed and power of her kicks. The true reason the team was named Team Firestorm was because of her Leg-Jet Burst. Her opponents were under fire from a merciless storm of kicks from her.\n\n\tAt the corner, Muko attempted to ask Adelgund to tag her in.\n\n\t[i]Useless. You’d only buy her a minute or two before losing.[/i]\n\n\tNyarai kept kicking, ignoring what Muko and Cookie were saying at the corner. She ignored what Adelgund was telling her too. It was time to finish this.\n\n\t“Now I’m warmed up!” Nyarai stopped, steam coming out of her body. “It’s time… for your knockout!”\n\n\tAs Nyarai started stretching in preparation for the final blow, Adelgund lowered her arms. They were useless from the pummeling that Nyarai gave them. Nyarai bent forward, readying the muscles of her legs for a leap. She needed height in order to reach the head for the finishing blow.\n\n\tAdelgund lowered her arms and let herself exposed. Nyarai leaped forward, jumping high enough so that her leg was above the champion’s head. She focused all of her energy into her leg for this final blow.\n\n\t“Bye bye,” Nyarai smirked, knowing that this was probably the last time they’d ever see each other in the ring.\n\n\tThe energy of her leg was released in a sudden burst. Nyarai was propelled foot first as she struck Adelgund across the face. The dog’s jaw was broken upon impact by the way on which the tongue was sticking out. \n\n\tNyarai flashed back at the hippo she kicked out of Club Nighthawk not too long ago. And then at the previous customers before him. They were lucky. They never got hit as hard as Adelgund did right now.\n\n\tThe recoil of the explosion sent Adelgund flying into the air. While Nyarai elegantly back flipped away from her. The champion landed into the mat lifelessly while the cheetah challenger landed safely on her feet. \n\n\tAs the unconscious champion lied there with her tongue sticking out, Nyarai’s bare foot stomped on her face so that she could demonstrate her victory over her.\n\n\t“Are you happy now, Lenny?” Nyarai asked as she remembered one of the reasons that inspired her to fight. Raising her fists into the air, the cheetah celebrated her victory.\n\n\tThe sound of cheering met her. She didn’t know how to respond. \n\n\t[i]What is this feeling?[/i]\n\n\t“Nyarai,” Shun called for her, carrying the belt under his arm. “Why so serious?”\n\n\t“People hate the Wilds, yet they cheer for me,” Nyarai voiced her confusion. “Why?”\n\n\t“It’s obvious, isn’t it?” Shun gave Nyarai the belt and raised her arm in celebration. “Smile, Nyarai. Nyarai’s Specialty of the House


\tIt was another workday for Nyarai at Club Nighthawk. Tonight she was dressed in a purple dress, wearing silver necklace with sapphires, and golden earrings, anklets, and armlets. Her client this night was a hippo that was boring her to death talking about his business.

\tKeep smiling and praising him.

\tIt was easy…the first few minutes. She had practice. But the hippo was so full of himself. She had clients that were arrogant regarding their business, but at least they tried to pretend they were classy.

\tThen he asked if she was a Wild.

\tThere it goes again.

\tShe wasn’t strange of that question nor any of the claims the hippo stated afterwards, but they still pissed her off. He claimed she couldn’t read and that the only book she ever read was a comic book. He asked if Wilds were wild on bed. The last one he asked while groping her breasts.

\tShe initially tried to ask her composure, but she let her mask slip when he was getting too grabby with her. He kept insisting and rationalizing. She was getting ready  to give him the beating he deserved.

\tControl yourself. He’s a client!

\t“There seems to be an inconvenience?”

\tIt was Shun who interrupted the confrontation. He politely asked the hippo to leave the place. The hippo responded by arrogantly throwing money at him.

\t“So, you won’t listen?” Shun asked, dropping his friendly smile for a colder and more threatening one. “How unfortunate…no one can help you then. Deal with him as you see fit.”

\t“Finally!” Nyarai stood and gave a savage grin.

\tIn a swift movement, she stood up and gave an arching high kick with a leg. The top of her foot struck the hippo across the face. With her speed and reflex, Nyarai enjoyed the hippo’s suffering thanks to the impact of her kick.

\tShe could see his cheek swell when her foot him. She saw one eye snap shut and the other staring into space, tears coming out of them from the sting of the kick. All the sweat that was resting on his face was literally smacked out of him.

\tPAM!

\tAt the same time, she heard the sound of her kick, she felt her foot hit the snout. In a surprising amount of self-control, Nyarai’s foot only pushed a bit to stop her kick to avoid permanently hurting him. It wasn’t worth destroying her Combagal career for a guy like him. Besides, she could still see the effects of her blow perfectly.

\tThe guy’s face was twisted, blood coming out of his mouth. Snot was running down his nose due to the damage on his snout. One eye looked like it was nearly popping out. And there was still sweat flying out of his fat face.

\tAnother second passed and the hippo was sent flying out of the club. Nyarai calmly followed him and watched as he crashed into some posts. After stomping him out and getting an apology out of him, Nyarai watched as the hippo ran away into the night.

\tIt was a bad night. The only good thing is that Shun promised her that she’d be in Freydar’s team once Cookie makes her return to furry fighting.

\tA star shinning brghter than anyone else.

\tSometime later, Nyarai was back at home doing her morning stretches. She was doing bridge stretches when she heard her phone ringing. Balancing on her hands, Nyarai stretched her body, using her long legs so that she could pick her phone with her feet. In a display of dexterity, she slowly brought the phone to her face and started pressing the buttons with her toes.

\t“It’s a message from Shun,” Nyarai observed.

\tIt was an article on Spotter Online. It was titled “Café Carrot Chaos” and it detailed Cookie’s comeback as a manager. Apparently, her new Combagal was a perverted bunny with no fighting skills that was beaten by a biker. The worst part was…this pervert was supposed to be her partner!

\t“That little skinflint!” Nyarai gritted her teeth as she cut her stretching exercise, standing up so that she could pick the phone with her hands and better read the article.

\tShe remembered a few days ago, back during their previous talk. Cookie had shamelessly asked Nyarai for money so that she could make a comeback. Nyarai refused on the ground that she didn’t find her a partner and that she could easily switch agencies if she felt like it. The shameless squirrel then tried to play the Wild Card on her so Nyarai stomped her to the floor and let her know that if she didn’t find her a suitable partner then she was going to switch agencies and fight the Combagal Cookie got.

\t“I will make her regret this,” Nyarai texted Shun.

\t“It’s okay,” Shun texted back. “Stick to the plan. You will get revenge on Cookie and the inept partner she brought you.”

\tReading the text calmed Nyarai down. It was true. It didn’t matter how adept or inept Nyarai’s partner was going to be, she was going to betray them anyway.

\tShe got a call from Cookie with a few minutes later.

\t“Go to Club Steppin Wolf. It’s time to meet your new partner. You and her will have your debut match against Team Executor. You will debut as Team Deliverance and win the Masato Championship in your first match. We will discuss the details at the club.”

\tA sadistic smile spread across Nyarai’s lips as she texted the information to Shun’s phone. She got a message with instructions.

\t“At least you’ll give me a good debut match, Cookie.”


\tNyarai reached Club Steppin Wolf early. She was wearing a dress with stripes. This time around she was wearing thick earrings. Golden rings were adorning her neck. She also brought a purse with her.

\tCookie and Team Executor were already there. As soon as the squirrel began speaking, Nyarai reached into her speaker and turned on a tape recorder she had hidden there. All she needed to do was record the whole conversation and wait for something incriminating.

\tI might as well give myself a manicure while I wait.

\tWhile she filed her nails, Nyarai listened to Cookie’s proposal. She was trying to convince the manager of Team Executor, an old turtle named Dinedon, to let them win the match and the championship.

\tIn other words, I’m the one who has to do all the heavy lifting while this Muko girl barely contributes at all.

\tCookie came up with a storyline angle. Since Peki and Adelgund was a Wild in a tag team partner, sales had drop considerably due to incidents with Wilds. Even though Peki was a Face and a powerful Combagal worthy of being a champion, the paranoia apparently didn’t help the sales. Dinedon then forced Peki to become a Heel and lose to Adelgund into a fight, becoming her prisoner and losing her champion belt to her. She lost her popularity while Adelgund’s increased. However, the audience eventually grew bored of it.

\tNo surprise there, the public is very fickle when it comes to Wilds.

\tCookie’s idea was for Team Deliverance to defeat Adelgund and to use the chance for Peki to redeem herself and become a Face again.

\tI doubt I see that farce working.

\tTo seal the deal, Cookie paid Dinedon twenty thousand Moni to earn his cooperation.

\tNow this is something I’m sure will work.

\tNyarai paid closer attention to the conversation. She was sure that with the recorder still working that she could get incriminating evidence in the next sentences.

\tTo her surprise, Cookie managed to get Dinedon to cooperate.

\tWell, the match is happening. But let’s see what else I can get from her.

\t“Now what did I say, Nyarai?” Cookie asked happily. Once I’d find your tag team partner I arrange a match within a week! Just as I promised! See?”

\tThe words of Dinedon as he mentioned Trilamity Day, the event that cost Freydar her career entered her mind. Not to mentioned how long it took Cookie to find her a partner and how that partner was a pervert.

\tFreydar lost everything… to this incompentent midget? Well then, I’m going to give her a piece of my mind.

\tTaking out her phone, Nyarai showed her the article of Café Carrot Chaos. Hiding her fury behind a smile, the cheetah watched as Cookie hid her incompetence behind compelling words.

\tThe act of spite nearly costed her as Adelgund picked up the phone and read the article. Surprisingly enough, she gave a simple answer.

\t“I think I prefer her over Nyarai!” she stated before checking out a stripper.

\tThe conversation continued before Muko finally entered the club. To Nyarai’s dismay, she was very clingy, bombarding her with questions about her personal life. She acted more like a fangirl than a Combagal.

\tShe hated her guts already.

\tFortunately, she shut up when she saw that Adelgund was one of her opponents. As it turns out, so Cookie was allowed to dictate the time of the match. Once it was decided, Nyarai left the club and turned off her recorder, returning to Shun.


\t“You got anything we can use?” Shun asked back at Club Nighthawk.

\t“Cookie bribed Dinedon and he accepted it without any problem,” Nyarai gave Shun the recording, hoping that he could find more to use.

\t“Excellent,” Shun smiled.  “I’ll make sure to do some payments to make sure your match goes as you want it to go. I also made sure to put a spy in the files of Team Executor to make sure you get a more proper partner than the one Cookie gave you.”

\tIt didn’t take her too much to figure out what he did. “You sent one of your girls to seduce Adelgund?”

\t“I did,” he smiled. “Fame does get you to fall on vices as you can see by her large number of assistants. Her partnership with Peki is an example of Wild discrimination that you can use for our cause.”

\t“I’m surprised she didn’t break up with her since she forced her to turn Heel,” Nyarai scoffed. “Sales or not, I wouldn’t trade my dignity for profit. And if my partner forced me to do that and reaped rewards for my sacrificed I’d make her suffer for it.”

\t“And that’s why when we make our entrance you will convince Peki to join you and help you dethrone Adelgund, who will have to tag with the inexperienced Muko,” Shun explained. “The two of you will become champions of justice for the Wilds once you become the new Masato champions.”

\t“About time,” Nyarai smiled. She had waited so long and now she was going to fight. She was going to show the world what she could do. And the best way was getting a champion belt.

\t“Get ready,” Shun told her. “We will make history for the Wilds.”


\tIt was time for the big fight. Nyarai was dressed in a black leotard and a light colored scarf. Next to her was Muko. Unlike their previous meeting she was awfully silent. She could see from the eyes of the rabbit that she was getting nervous for her first match.

\tAmateur. You’re telling me you’re feeling stage fright at this time. You really know how to pick them Cookie.

\tThe two of them had to wait as Cookie was giving an introductory speech for the two of them. From the reaction of the public calling bullshit or referring to Cookie as a child, she could see that Cookie was not a good public speaker with her height.

\t“Welcome! Muko and Nyarai! Together they are Team Deliverance!”

\tThe two of them walked into the stage. After they reached the ring, Team Executor entered the ring to the approval of the public.

\tI wonder how much they will approve once Shun comes in.

\tWith the match starting, Muko was the one who got into the ring and rushed straight against Adelgund. The fight was very boring for Nyarai. Back at Club Steppin Wolf, it was decided that Muko needed experience fighting Combagals so it was decided that she was going to fight Adelgund with Nyarai stepping in when she needed help.

\tExcept that I won’t save her.

\tNyarai barely paid attention to the match, turning her back at the ring and yawning. As expected, even with Adelgund holding back, Muko was barely holding on as she was grabbed, spun, and slammed into the mat in quick succession by the shepherd dog.

\tAs Adelgund relished in the cheer of the crowd, Muko took the chance to crawl back into her corner to where Nyarai was waiting. At this point, Nyarai was looking at the beaten bunny with a grin on her face. As Muko reached a hand for her, the cheetah turned her back on her partner, giving Adelgund a chance to continue the fight.

\tWhy would I tag somebody who doesn’t have what it takes to be a Combagal?

\tIn a sudden miracle, Muko escaped from a hold with a surprise kick and then hit Adelgund with a combo of a drop kick followed by a clothesline. To the crowd, it was a good combo, but to Nyarai it was clear that Adelgund was overselling and that Muko only knew basic skills.

\tIf that’s the best you can do, then I don’t see any use in letting you fight anymore. I’m tagging in now.

\tAdelgund stood up from Muko’s attacks and then tagged Peki in.

\t“Oi!” Nyarai called once she saw Muko take a fighting pose. She had her hand extended, ready to tag in. “I’ve seen too much! Get lost!”

\t “Nyarai! My friend!” Muko tagged her in. “Thank you!”

\tThe cheetah laughed to herself.

\tYou won’t think that once you see what’s coming to you.

\t“Let’s end this farce!” she said as she faced Peki. Turning at the penguin, Nyarai announced her intentions. “Go!”

\tBalancing on one leg, Nyarai swung a chambered leg and threw it from above, intending to swing it downward to Peki’s head. In the meanwhile, Peki crouched and sprung forward, curling her flipper into a fist in an attempt to punch Nyarai. She didn’t know which was faster her kick or the penguin’s punch. And she wasn’t going to find out thanks to the following interruption.

\t“Nyarai from the inner desert. Peki from the northern ice-planes. Don’t fight each other. Wilds shouldn’t fight against Wilds. Instead, fight against your common enemy. Fight against your real enemy! Your real enemy is right here. It is… manager Cookie.”

\tIt was Shun. And in one swift moment he earned the attention of everyone. Using the recorder Nyarai gave him, Shun incriminated Dinedon, Cookie, and Adelgund. The effect was immediate, while Dinedon and Adelgund were somewhat safe due to the popularity of Team Executor, all of the audience’s glares were focused almost exclusively on Cookie.

\tAdelgund attempted to have Shun restrained by having her assitants arrest him, but Shun had her Cyclone Crushers close to him as his personal bodyguards to continue his speech.

\tWith the momentum in Shun’s favor, Nyarai knew that her time to shine finally came. Putting her claws in her leotard, she tore of her clothes to reveal the bikini she wore and intended to use for the real fight.

\t“I join the Cyclone Crushers!” Nyarai declared proudly and relieved to finally cut ties with Cookie. She turned her eyes on Peki and told her what she needed to hear for a long time.

\t“Come with me, Peki! No one gives Wilds a fair chance! You always stood in Adelgund’s shadow! But now this can change! Here stands a man who gives us a chance to prove our real worth! Let’s fight those who fight us!”

\t“Peki!” Adelgund cried out. “Don’t listen to that bitch!”

\t“Adelgund…I have enough of playing your prisoner,” Peki whispered as she grabbed the collar that symbolized that. “This is the end! I want to break free!”

\tPeki tore off her collar and her swimsuit to reveal a more revealing swimsuit underneath that one. With that gesture, her alliance with Nyarai was already forged.

\t“This is your true debut!” Shun gestured on the microphone. “Get ready! Overthrow the fake idol of justice! Team Firestorm!”

\tWith Nyarai taking Peki away from her, Adelgund immediately made Muko her new partner and sent her into the ring. The perverted bunny, entranced by seeing the two Combagals took a few seconds to realize what was happening and who was going to be her new opponent.

\t“Wait a sec,” Muko futilely. raised her hands as Nyarai pounced with clawed hands and feet. “Aren’t we friends?”

\t“Friends?!” Nyarai laughed as her hands grabbed Muko by the head and slammed her to the mat while her feet pinned the bunny’s arms to prevent her from fighting back. “Whatever gave you the impression we could be friends? Nothing connects us! We’re worlds apart, bug!”

\tShe kicked Muko to the side so that she could have better access to her back. Sitting on top of the bunny’s back, Nyarai hooked her hands underneath her opponent’s neck and hooked her legs beneath her arms to perform a clutch.

\t“You have no clue what real furry fighting is all about!” Nyarai pulled on Muko’s neck before twisting it. “It’s all about pain!”

\t“But…” Muko wheezed due to lack of oxygen, tears welling up on her eyes. “It should be fun and sexy!”

\t“Idiot,” Nyarai stopped holding her neck and instead yanked the bunny’s legs. “I really hate this attitude!”

\tMuko screamed in pain, tears and drool coming out of her face from the agony Nyarai was putting her through.

\t“Muko!” Cookie called in alarm. “Grab the rope!”

\tLittle by little, the amateur Combagal crawled across the mat until she grabbed the rope. The referee then separated them to Nyarai’s mild disappointment.

\t“You wanna hurt me?” Muko stumbled, shaking from the strain of trying to stand up. “Go right ahead. I’m an easy target. But what about Cookie?! Everything she made for us to become great Combagals!”

\t“You really fell for her crap?!” Nyarai lunged at Muko and nailed her with a punch to the gut. The blow knocked the wind out of her.

\t“Let me guess,” Nyarai wrapped her legs around Muko’s neck and body while her arm was locking Muko’s own. “She told you a sappy childhood story about how she wants to help others achieve their dreams? Did she also tell you that she’s a devastator of dreams?”

\t“Nyarai!” Cookie called as the cheetah was using another wrestling hold to torture Muko. “Whatever you call me, unlike Shun Gonfano, I’m not a criminal! Working for him make you the sumiguza’s puppet! Of all people…when did you decided to turn on his side?”

\t“You’re so oblivious!” Nyarai sneered. “I’ve always been on his side!”

\t“What are you talking about?” Cookie asked, shock evident on her face. “When did you have time to join his agency?”

\t“I told you I work as a hostess,” Nyarai chuckled. “That’s true, only I never worked in Club Diamond! You didn’t bother to check where I really worked. The truth is I work at Shun Gonfano’s hostess club, The Nighthhawk!”

\t“That’s impossible!” Cookie grabbed the ropes. “Only Pro-Combagals can work as hostesses for Shun Gonfano!”

\t“Shun knew I had my fair experience as a Combagal!” Nyarai grinned savagely as she used a suplex and clutch technique to choke Muko and look at Cookie at the same time. “He promised to help me out with a problem of my past if I did a favor in return!”

\t“What…favor?” Cookie asked in fright.

\t“Being a mole in your agency!” Nyarai confirmed with a laugh. “I had to be a spy getting inside information by pretending to join your agency! You had no doubt about my loyalty-while all the time I provided Shun information about your planed comeback into furry-fighting!”

\t“You’ve been Shun’s spy all along?” Cookie asked, eyes tearing up.

\t“Don’t you wonder why Shun has a recording of your strip club conversation?” Nyarai asked as she picked Muko by the scruff of her neck and then slapped her in the chest. “Take a guess who made this record!”

\t“You?” Cookie was sweating. “Damn, Nyarai…Doing all this for him…You don’t know how dangerous this man Shun Gonfano really is…!

\t“Don’t get me wrong!” Nyarai was sitting down, wrapping her legs around Muko’s neck in a scissorhold. “Putting up this act annoyed me beyond limits! But I didn’t do it just for Shun bur rather for her sake! For the life you have taken!”

\tThe image of Freydar spread on Nyarai’s head.

\t“Why,” Muko sobbed. “Just why…why did you leave us?!”

\t“Ha! What a crybaby!” Nyarai laughed. “Don’t you see? This is what you get! Make one wrong friend and you get a whole lot of unwanted enemies!”

\tAt the last proclamation, Nyarai slammed Muko’s head over and over until she was bleeding from the forehead. The assault was too much for Muko, who started crying out for her mother. Nyarai laughed in sadism afterwards. She threw her to the floor and watched as Adelgund tagged her out.

\t“I see you’re not hatched yet,” she told the defeated Muko. “So I’ll end this misery for you!”

\t“So you finally stopped hiding!” Nyarai smirked at Adelgund.

\t“I’ll show you how fake I am!” Adelgund growled.

\tNyarai dashed forward with hands outstretched. She was aiming for the knees. A giant like Adelgund would lack agility so being lifted from the ground and thrown would severely damage her.

\tThis is your end!

\tCrack!

\tAdelgund’s knee slammed into Nyarai’s snout.

\t“You wanted to lift me off my feet, huh,” Adelgund observed scornfully. “And you think none tried that before?”

\tNyarai jumped away from the impact. Horror dawned on her as blood was coming out of her nose. With the way it was going, she was going to lose consciousness.

\tI got too cocky. I need to tag Peki in now.

\tWalking away from Adelgund, Nyarai was stumbling into the opposite corner until she saw Peki. Her hand tapped Peki’s flipper and then she fainted into the arms of Jowdie, the nicest member of the Cyclone Crushers.

\t“Na-Chan!” Jowdie screamed.

\tNyarai heard her fellow Cyclone Crushers get close to her. But she couldn’t hear anything else. Everything just faded to black.


\tI let my guard down!

\tShe was in the darkness. She couldn’t see anything, but she was still capable of hearing a few things. They were muffled, but Nyarai could recognize some familiar sounds from experience. She recognized the concerned voices of her teammates, the cacophony of noises that were in the ring that was being made in the fight between Peki and Adelgund, and the cheering that was brought in the crowd by the spectacle.

\tIt sounds like an exciting match. Who’s winning? Is it Peki or is it Adelgund?

\tRegardless of who won, all of her efforts would have been for naught. If Adelgund won, then Team Firestorm lost and then Shun’s plans and her debut were ruined. That was a stain that could never be removed from her reputation. And if Peki won, even if this advanced Shun’s agenda for the Wilds, she’d be marked in history as the partner who got knocked out in the first round.

\tI won’t let it end like this! I’m waking up as soon as possible. I didn’t do all this spy work at that second-rate agency to lose like this!

\tShe was a pro-level Combagal. No. She was beyond pro-level. She had surpassed that a long time ago. As soon as she woke up, she was going to show Adelgund her true strength.

\tI was conceited. I thought that because she was from Botaun and participating in a rigged match that she wasn’t worth using my true style. I guess you don’t become a champion by being weak. Well, Adelgund, you’ve proven yourself worthy.

\tA new sound reached her ears. It was the sound of bones snapping. It was followed by a scream. She recognized the voice. It was Peki’s voice.


\tNyarai opened her eyes. She was resting in Jowdie’s lap. In the blink of an eye, she disappeared from her friend’s arms and went back into the corner of the ring.

\t“To me, Peki!” she called out grabbing into a rope with one arm and extending her other arm to tag her in.

\tPeki was clutching a broken arm with her flipper, tears running down her face as she was staring at her new partner for salvation.

\t“Run to your partner then!” Adelgund kicked Peki in the back. “But you will regret it!” Adelgund, tears running down her face, stomped on Peki’s leg to punctuate her point. “Because that bitch is no team player!”

\tPeki let out another scream of pain as she felt her fragile leg get shattered under Adelgund’s boot.

\t“You can’t do this!” the referee told Adelgund. “I’ll disqualify…”

\tHe didn’t get to finish his threat as the champion knocked him out with a push of her large hand. Adelgund then walked to Peki and stomped on her other leg.

\t“Come here, Peki!” Nyarai stretched out her hand further so that the injured penguin could reach it. “Just a bit further! You can do it!”

\tUpon seeing the injured penguin, crying and broken, and how Adelgund had been acting these last few minutes, the crowd turned against her. They started booing and jeering at her while turning all of their support to Nyarai. The cheetah ignored them as she focused on tagging Peki. Finally, her hand finally touched that flipper.

\t“I’ll put this mad dog down!” she swore as she finally entered the ring.

\tWith Peki tagged out, the Cyclone Crushers brought the agonizing penguin to a stretcher to provide her with medical care. Seeing her suffering, the audience started jeering at Adelgund and cheering for Nyarai to take her down.

\tHow fickle. They were praising Adelgund and jeering at me and Peki for our so called betrayal. And yet the second the fight turns too brutal they turn to me to take down their villain. It doesn’t matter. I’m not fighting for their approval.

\t“I underestimated you,” Nyarai wiped the blood from her snout with the back of her hand. “Seems a champion of Botaun actually is worth fighting seriously against!”

\t“With that broken nose you should have stayed asleep!” Adelgund sneered.

\t“Nothing…” Nyarai pulled back her leg and swung it, hitting Adelgund square in the gut. “…is broken!”

\tThis is one of the reasons I love fighting against large opponents. It’s impossible to miss when you have so much to hit.

\tAdelgund recoiled from the blow, but she remained standing. “You have a strong kick,” she gritted her teeth before extending her hands to Nyarai’s earrings. “But these ridiculous earrings of yours are just too easy to grab.”

\tOnce again, Nyarai was hit with a knee, this time it was aimed to her forehead. A small cut open as blood was spilling out from her head. With the way Nyarai was staggering, Adelgund took her chance to attack.

\t“This…” she elbow-dropped Nyarai on the throat, pinning her to the mat. “…will be…” she once again grabbed those earrings and pulled them up to lift Nyarai’s head. “…your defeat!” Adelgund finished the hold by grabbing Nyarai from one ankle.

\t“That’s what you get for not playing by the rules!” Adelgund declared firmly as she placed her knee on Nyarai’s spine. “You’re trapped in my most dangerous submission hold! The Spine Breaker!”

\tAt seeing the move performed on her, one of the announcers made this declaration.

\t“Adelgund holds down Nyarai with her whole body weight! With no space left to move, Nyarai’s situation is hopeless!”

\tThe situation is hopeless.  Nyarai smiled as she cupped her face with one hand. But I’m not the hopeless one as everyone will find out.

\t“Would you like to explain…how exactly did you win now?” Nyarai asked teasingly, not all scared with her current situation.

\t“Idiot!” Adelgund sneered. “If you don’t submit, I’ll break your backbone. You’ll end up disabled!”

\t“Oh how scary!” Nyarai mock cried, using crocodile tears from the acting skills she learned as a hostess. “I’ll be disabled for the rest of my life?” Her expression turned into one of maniac laughter. “Be my guest then!”

\tAdelgund stared at her incredulously.

\tYou don’t really have the right to play moral high ground after what you did to Peki in the previous round.

\t“Breaking arms and legs, why not backbones as well?” Nyarai mocked sadistically, sticking out her tongue like a deranged killer. “While you’re at it, why not go all the way to become a murderer? Wouldn’t it be fun to kill a Combagal?”

\t“Have you gone crazy now?” Adelgund asked, feeling a bit intimidated with the cheetah’s teasing.

\t“You’re hesitating?” Having doubts?” Second thoughts? Not so sure after all? All barking and no biting?” Nyarai asked and teased hysterically before her face twisted to disappointment. “Bo-ring. I’ll do it myself.”

\tTensing the muscles of her shoulders, spine, and leg, Nyarai broke free of Adelgund’s hold, by breaking her spine in the process. An inhuman snapping sound reverberated across the ring.

\tOutside of the ring, her fellow Cyclone Crushers were screaming and crying at her predicament. Inside of the ring, Adelgund was horrified, not wanting things to go that far. At her feet, Nyarai was screaming and trying to stand up.

\t“The pain! The pain!” Nyarai screamed, tears and drool coming out of her face. As she kept screaming, Nyarai’s body was making twitching and popping noises as she slowly was getting back on her feet. Adelgund was left speechless in horror as the cheetah whose spine she broke stood up just fine. “Just kidding,” Nyarai stuck out her tongue.

\t“By the way, my earrings are just a trap!” Nyarai bent her spine forward to put it back into place, clarifying her health with a loud snapping sound.

\t“Bam..” Nyarai folded herself vertically and continued until she was pointing at Adelgund. “…boozled!” She shot the dog with two finger guns just to rub her flexibility in her opponent’s face.

\t“That’s impossible!” Adelgund recoiled at seeing such flexibility. “To move like that! Your back was all twisted!”

\tDeciding to give one demonstrating of flexibility, Nyarai lifted her left leg and folded it behind her head, grabbing her ankle so that her foot was near the right side of her face. Her right hand was twisted as she held the ankle and her left arm was folded behind her left leg and head.

\t“You know,” Nyarai licked her foot, knowing she was going to use it for the massacre that was about to take place. “Submission holds don’t work on me. Because I am unbreakable!”

\t“You’re kidding me!” Adelgund cried out. “You’re unnatural!”

\tNyarai grinned as she unfolded herself to take a kicking stance. She released her pent up energy as a fiery aura surrounding her body.

\tTruthfully, not even her fellow Cyclone Crushers knew the true extent of her abilities. She didn’t expect to use it so soon. But this fight was truly worth using it.

\t“Have a taste of what I have to give!” Nyarai threw a kick similar to the first one. Unlike the previous one, this kick was faster, stronger, and wreathed in flames. Right before the impact, Nyarai could see Adelgund’s frightened face before her foot could hit her square in the snout.

\tShe had seen that expression countless times in her customers’ faces every time she was about to punish them for getting fresh with her. To see that same expression in a pro-level Combagal, a champion no less, was totally priceless.

\tPAH!

\tHer kick connected in a jumping flaming arc. Adelgund was sent tumbling down, blood spitting out of her snout. At the last second, she stumbled forward with clenched fists, ready to fight back. At the same time, Nyarai was charging with her leg burning and swinging.

\t“The specialty of the house!” she called out as she spun on her normal leg and used the flaming one to deliver a barrage of kicks to Adelgund. “Leg-Jet Burst!”

\tRealizing that the kicks were going to be too fast for her to intercept, Adelgund used her large arms to cover herself. She remained firm, but the sound of Nyarai’s leg striking down her arms was unnatural.

\t“Guess what time it is!” Nyarai yelled as she was increasing the speed of her kicks and throwing them at different angles. “Time to go to hell!”

\tThrough the gap in the champion’s guard, Nyarai could see how her kicks were taking a toll on Adelgund. The pain was getting to her thanks to the constant assault in her arms. As she kept on going, the crowd and the comments cheered on.

\t“Nyarai’s speed is beyond comparison! Her moves become a blur! Every impact sounds like firecrackers! Adelgund finds no opening! All she can do is block this volley of kicks!”

\tNyarai kept on kicking, increasing the speed and power of her kicks. The true reason the team was named Team Firestorm was because of her Leg-Jet Burst. Her opponents were under fire from a merciless storm of kicks from her.

\tAt the corner, Muko attempted to ask Adelgund to tag her in.

\tUseless. You’d only buy her a minute or two before losing.

\tNyarai kept kicking, ignoring what Muko and Cookie were saying at the corner. She ignored what Adelgund was telling her too. It was time to finish this.

\t“Now I’m warmed up!” Nyarai stopped, steam coming out of her body. “It’s time… for your knockout!”

\tAs Nyarai started stretching in preparation for the final blow, Adelgund lowered her arms. They were useless from the pummeling that Nyarai gave them. Nyarai bent forward, readying the muscles of her legs for a leap. She needed height in order to reach the head for the finishing blow.

\tAdelgund lowered her arms and let herself exposed.  Nyarai leaped forward, jumping high enough so that her leg was above the champion’s head. She focused all of her energy into her leg for this final blow.

\t“Bye bye,” Nyarai smirked, knowing that this was probably the last time they’d ever see each other in the ring.

\tThe energy of her leg was released in a sudden burst. Nyarai was propelled foot first as she struck Adelgund across the face. The dog’s jaw was broken upon impact by the way on which the tongue was sticking out.

\tNyarai flashed back at the hippo she kicked out of Club Nighthawk not too long ago. And then at the previous customers before him. They were lucky. They never got hit as hard as Adelgund did right now.

\tThe recoil of the explosion sent Adelgund flying into the air. While Nyarai elegantly back flipped away from her. The champion landed into the mat lifelessly while the cheetah challenger landed safely on her feet.

\tAs the unconscious champion lied there with her tongue sticking out, Nyarai’s bare foot stomped on her face so that she could demonstrate her victory over her.

\t“Are you happy now, Lenny?” Nyarai asked as she remembered one of the reasons that inspired her to fight. Raising her fists into the air, the cheetah celebrated her victory.

\tThe sound of cheering met her. She didn’t know how to respond.

\tWhat is this feeling?

\t“Nyarai,” Shun called for her, carrying the belt under his arm. “Why so serious?”

\t“People hate the Wilds, yet they cheer for me,” Nyarai voiced her confusion. “Why?”

\t“It’s obvious, isn’t it?” Shun gave Nyarai the belt and raised her arm in celebration. “Smile, Nyarai. You’re a hero now!”

\tI’m a hero after what I did to get here?

\t“A hero?” Nyarai laughed at the irony. “Don’t make me laugh!”

\tIgnoring Adelgund’s assistants rushing and crying for their fallen idol, Nyarai lifted the champion belt earning a roar of applause from the crowd. Jowdie was the first to congratulate her with a hug. The rest of the Cyclone Crushers joined her afterwards.

\tThis was truly her big debut.
