"Oh! Are not from around here!"
Rio merely nodded and smiled back, then his eyes flicked a little wider, looking over the avian as he came to realization who he was standing in front of,
"Oh..! Wait... you are..."
The reptile trailed off in disbelief, and the green bird took over, merely winking, bowing and smiling as he speaks out with a warm hearty confidence,
"Of course! One and only!"
After the quick introductions, a shake of hands and another quick laugh from the so called smashing first meeting, the avian spoke up rather excitedly, eyes beaming as his head turned left and right.
"You are new to Bahia, Brazil even, Rio?"
The lizard could only nod and give a fond, toothy grin to the avian, he played the part quite well!
"Come then señor Rio! I will show you around!!"
The rest of the day was spent with Rio treated to a enthusiastic tour by the avian, whose name was well known to the lizard and fans José Carioca. As the sun had finished setting off the crystal clear horizon, the city lights lit up the town. Soon the two found themselves in a small tucked away bar that the classic film star was so fond of. Rio was extremely curious of José's carrier, as most of it was in Portuguese media. José told him about how his image was played in Brazil, how his works were slow but constant. They laughed at the stereotypes the bird had to carry as part of his character, a ladies man, a con man, a Brazilian man of pleasure or even "bad boy" will you. Even if the bird was "conning" a few beers off of Rio, he didn't mind, it was all good story that he never got to hear before from a fantastic host.
After all, what better way then to spend a happy night of drinking and story with someone that left such an impression on you from your younger days?
Although it was his last night, it was Rio's favourite night in Bahia.

Honestly, just wow. Ryoken absolutely blew me off my feet with a picture yet again, and very much so captured the look that I was hoping for. :D Great job by him once again : D
So for those of you who are confused as to who the strapping looking avian is, he is named José Carioca. He was first created and seen in a film called "Saludos Amigos" and later, his first big role, and where I first had seen him, in "The Three Caballeros". I had seen the movie quite a bit as a kid and José was one of the most memorable characters from my childhood. He hasn't been featured in very many English roles, but is very current and popular in Brazil and occasionally seen in other international products of **company that shall not be named**. English versions of himself are very upbeat and nice, though other versions were as stated, often the bird being a con or ladies man.
Either way, if you are interested, you can find the full film of The Three Caballeros on youtube, as well as other clips with the character in it on youtube as well. If your confused about the city of Salvador, in the movie and a long time ago, the city was strictly known as “Bahia”, the same name as the district it was in.
