little spot to escape to. Be it the end of the day, the end of a long week, or maybe just a place to clear your mind. For some this may even be a spiritually aided, others it could be helped by physical activity or substance use. For a lizard? Well, usually a warm place is just perfect.\r\n\r\n\r\nRio of course, had his own perfect little spot tacked out. After all, being a bedmonster is hard work! Very stressful at times. \r\nThe reptile in fact, had already made his way there. He was flopped out, and leaning back, cross legged in a shallow pool of water. The pool was walled off by rocks and foliage, also snuggled into a slight hill and under a tree, creating a cutout with enough room for one, maybe two people to relax in. The reptile was against the back wall, head partially enshrined by bits of glass, leaves and vines on all sides, body against the vertical curve of the small canopy. His eyes were shadowed by leaves, but they appeared closed, his body still and breath slow, controlled, calm. Asleep? Meditating? It was hard to say. He seemed happy though, stress melted from his face, muzzle and jaw lax and unweighted. The pool that Rio was sitting in seemed to steam slightly, even in the thick, moist air of this jungle like place. The water causing the lighter green of his skin to react and shift colour. It was warm, even somewhat hot. Strange for a random body of water to do that. A hot spring? Still strange in a forest. \r\nRegardless of method, this mellow scene was quickly shattered, the sounds of scraping feet, crunching brush and snapping twigs drew ever closer. Snout tip wriggled a little. Once upon a time I stumbled on the page of vu06 and became particularly interested in his work. Although it has many endearing qualities of a typical eastern style, it was very unique and interesting to look over his gallery. As per usual, when interested, I checked to see if he was open to commissions. Luckily he was, and I basically threw money at him and said "Surprise me!" This picture is also the start of several surprise me pictures in a row, which has been leading to interesting results so far.

Either way, good artist to work with, great job he did too. I could probably nitpick at some things like key points on the pattern and such, but this was widely a surprise me commish, and he did a great job : D
