Finding the planet again, that was easy. Finding the right continent on the planet, that was easy too. Landing a small corvette? Wasn't that hard considering the small landing zone. Waking up the scrapyards owner? Damn near impossible.
Occasionally his iguana friend enjoyed sleeping in for days on end, and it ended up taking about 3 hours and some creatively placed plastic explosives to wake him up. Shortly after waking his good friend, Raiden, from his eternal beauty sleep, Rio had explained the troubles he was having with the craft. With the usual gusto of crazed tinker and mechanic, Raiden jumped right to it, grabbing his tools and immediately started working on the craft.
Despite his asking, even pleads, the iguana had insisted that he need not the help of Rio, even as he clumsily worked open the panel and peered into the heavily wired and component cluttered space.
At this point though, Raiden was head mechanic, and Rio just huffed off inside the salvage shack and decided that if he couldn't help out with the ship, he could at least help out otherwise. He set about cleaning the kitchen, living area, sleeping area. He housecleaned every surface, nook and cranny, and even made up some nummy sandwiches. Though, he dared not clean Raiden's workshop. Woe is to ye who tinkers with a tinkers workspace.
Rio was surprised though, after what felt like hours he still had not seen the iguana face poke back into his own shop. He went out to the yard at that point, to see what the other lizzy was doing. Silently Rio had walked up behind the other and watched. Raiden had his head shoulders deep in the wing of the craft, and most of the wires and components that were previously in that space were on the ground beside the wing.
A big smirk crossed Rios face, the iguanas tail was waving slowly, certainly seemed happy doing what he was doing, there was a lot of trust for what other green reptile could do too. Though... Rio now was thinking it was time for a relaxing break for the dedicated Raiden.
The monsterlizzy gave a flick of his tail and crouched a little, and with a grunt heaves a mighty jump up to the wing! He leaned over and immediately grasped the shoulders of his friend. Of course at that point, with the feeling of being grabbed, Raiden panicked and put his hands on the edge of the hole, trying to pull himself up.
"Easy... Easy now Rai.. just me buddy~" Rio had spoke out with a smile, following with a brisk rub at the shoulders and loosening his grip. Head, body, and else of Raiden started to relax down to that brisk rub. As soon as the trapped lizard settled down against the metal, Rio started to firmly rub, massage and work into the shoulders and down the arm. The effect was almost immediate, the body of the iguana softened, his mouth gaped, tail slumped and paws started to relax open.
A wider grin spread across Rios face and a small chuckle,
"Heheh.. Works every time."

So, where do I start?
Well, lets try from the start
About 5 months ago I had seen a picture on FA, a fan picture for the flash Katan made by Cerberus. I absolutely loved this flash when I first saw it two years ago, and a fan picture seemed like a special treat. Upon clicking it I come to see the huge amount of detail and was blown away to see this quality of art for a flash that may be less commonly seen.
At this point, I said to myself that I absolutely have to contact this guy and figure out if he is taking commissions, much to my luck he is.
So rewind even farther back then 5 months. Sometime in the last year or two I had met Raiden. I may not have known him as long as other, but he was a fantastic friend for a bit of everything, watching things with, gaming, talking, and more. We have stuck it out for each other on a few things, and I decided it was high time we had a picture together.
So in the amount of time that this picture was worked on, the artist had checked back constantly with us. Constantly he was giving drafts to show us the progress. Eventually Raiden had gone to completed basic training for the US air force, big congratulations to him as well. He is now back and helped flesh out the last details of this picture between the artist and myself.
The amount of detail on this version of the picture is awesome, and even more mind boggling is the amount of detail in the full version at a high res size of 6237X3600. If anyone wants to grab a commission from this artist, you need to do it RIGHT NOW because this guy is a good artist, great guy, friendly to deal with and all the other good things us commissioners look for in artists. He will likely be filling up fast!
