I thought I could never feel such a joyous connection with anyone again, that I was broken." The bunny's heart leapt into his throat as the fox paused "until I met you. For the first time in millennia I feel at peace, I feel joy...and I am not sure, but perhaps even love."

Liquiir locked eyes with the shocked bunny, utterly stunned hearing the fox confirm his feelings for him.
"So I want to give you a choice." the hand Liquiir had been holding behind his back stretched forward with an amulet unlike any the bunny had ever seen.
Usagi was in a storm of emotions, still reeling from the fox's confession and now he was presenting a choice? What was all this about?

"In a strange way I suppose this is my proposal. I cannot tell how you feel about me, so I am giving you this choice. If you decline, that will be it, I will respect that you do not wish to see me again and this might well be the last time we ever see each other unless I end up finding and exploring your homeworld." before Usagi could deny that is what he wanted Liquiir continued.

"But if you accept, whether you think me as a friend or perhaps even..." he paused briefly and skipped over the intimate word he was embarrassed to say.
"We will be able to talk and visit one another, but there will be some consequences. To work, your soul will have to be at least partially bound to my dimension, which means that anyone looking at your soul might think ill of you, for a wealth of reasons. And when you leave the mortal coil your soul will be bound for my dimension's afterlife. Not that of your own. I will of course try to realign your soul after the fact if that is your wish, but I cannot guarantee I will be able to." The fox informed Usagi of the possible consequences.
Liquiir sadly knew the potential loss of an afterlife where Usagi's loved ones were might be too much for a mortal like him too take. He would not blame him for declining because of this.

What sort of choice was that!? "Can't you just come visit? Why the extreme polarizing options?" Usagi asked confused.
The fox became ashamed "because I lost the coordinates to your reality. I can send you back because it is from whence you stem, but for me to find it again will be like finding a specific drop of water in an endless ocean." he explained.

"I understand if you do not wish to take the risks.." Liquiir withdrew his hand with the amulet, but Usagi gripped his wrist with both his hands.
"No!...I...I care about you." the bunny's heart was racing "h-how....how high is the risk? The risk of me not being able to go to my world's afterlife?"
The fox hummed thoughtfully "if I can manage to visit it before you perish, fairly low. But I simply cannot guarantee."
"If not...would you be able to take me to visit there?" The god had taken him into his realm so easily, was it different for the plains of the dead?
Liquiir considered Usagi's question "hmm...I might have to inquire with the keepers of your afterlife, but it should be possible." he had not even thought about that. The deity wondered if he had been too focused on getting the amulet made in time and as a result forgot to consider other possible ways around the issue it could bring.

"Then..." Usagi smiled, tearing up with joy "I would be honored lord Liquiir...I...I think I might love you too"
The fox froze, he reached up with his free hand and rubbed his eyes and felt the wetness on his hand. His eyes were filling with tears...Liquiir thought he lost the ability to do so. It had been ages...centuries since he last had last done so.

Usagi felt a massive rush of energy flow through him from the amulet, it overwhelmed all his senses. But just as suddenly as it had come, it was gone again. The samurai breathed heavily "you could have told me that would happen." he sent Liquiir a mildly stinging glare.
"I could have, but I knew you were more than capable of enduring it. Besides it would have been detrimental if you had tried to prepare for it. The energy needed to flow without resistance and just knowing you might have unconsciously resisted." Usagi sighed and nodded, accepting the explanation Liquiir gave.

"So with all this done, where does that leave us?" Usagi asked.
"hmm, I do believe you will make an excellent concubine"

"There is no more provision on the personal lives of hakaishin Korn, you should read the rules our new omni has provided. Don't want to embarrass yourself by spouting untrue rules now would you?" The fox's tone was jovial and helpful on the surface, but was brimming with glorious satisfaction for turning the tables on the self-righteous angel overseer.

Korn froze for a moment, thoughts running thousand miles a second, then deeply sighed and deflated. He had been careless and not checked what rules had changed with the regime shift and now his student had managed to outsmart him because of it.
