It was love at first sight
The day was off to a disheartening start. During our voyage through space we had encountered an anomaly that ripped a hole in space throwing us into what seems like an alternate dimension where people pop puyos instead of clear tetrominos. It was all very uncomforting and alien to me, while the mean games of Ell and Jay weren't helping matters. Our ship ultimately crash landed on the new world, and currently resides atop a school. Tee went off with Ringo to see if they could find a way to get us back home, but while they were doing that, I had to work on the S.S Tetra.
And that's when I saw him. He introduced himself as Risukuma, he was an interesting character to say the least. Occasionally making sounds and whooshes with his mouth, while showing an avid interest in science. Now I'm not much of a scientist myself, or know much about the field, but I admired his excitement over his studies, he was kind of like me with mechanics. It sounds silly of me to believe in love at first sight, but something about him started a spark in my heart. I don't know what it was, perhaps it was his manly voice, or maybe his cute face, or perhaps, the fact he was the only other animal person like me. We understood each other on several points, how it was difficult to maintain our fur on humid days, the annoyance of heat and itching all the time, and always being on the look out to fleas, the pesky vermin.
He was assigned to help me in fixing the S.S. Tetra's damaged engines. During that time our friendship quickly flourished. What started as a few light conversations quickly turned into full blown discussions. Turns out a scientist and a mechanic can find a lot of common ground to talk about. And as we continued to converse, our friendship grew stronger. By the end of the day when Ringo and Tee returned from their first unsuccessful adventure to get us home, I was casually speaking with Risukuma as if he had been an old friend.
All worries melted away with him around, and I got the feeling he felt the same way. He struck less poses, and made less sounds. He looked and sounded far more relaxed when I was in the room with him. By the time we stopped working on the engines to rest, rather than going home right away, he opted to stick around, and spend more time together. The atmosphere was very relaxed, we dressed down to more casual attire, and played games. Risukuma taught me how to pop puyos, and I taught him how to clear rows like a pro. It humored him that my piece was the most essential to achieve a full Tetris, going so far as to complimenting me on my greatness in parallel to the tetromino. L and J even intruded on our time to mess with me, causing me to whimper as they often do, but Risukuma held my hand and calmed me down in little time.
The day was officially over, and Risukuma had to go home, but before he left he asked me if I wanted to spend more time together tomorrow, when we weren't working on the ship. I happily obliged. We gave our farewells, and he went home. That night I couldn't stop thinking about him. I wanted to spend more time with him, and maybe even, cuddle. Ohh what a lovely time that'd be, but I needed to at my top performance tomorrow, so I put myself to bed.
The next day we got back to work, Risukuma was more laid back and informal, as we continued to fix the ship, and converse on more personal topics. At one point the question of relationships emerged, I told him I wasn't seeing anyone, being out in space made i hard to keep communication with people. I gladly accepted, he cheered, and we gave ou farewells.

Around the same time Tee and Ringo came back, they had a lead on what could've caused us to enter this strange world, and I gave him the news that the ship was repaired. Everyone was in a good mood that day.
Eagerly we went to Risukuma's home. I got a little bold and I held on to his hand on the way there, he didn't seem to mind it one bit.
