      Jane was a gifted biologist with a huge pack of scientific awards, collected for long years of studying extraterrestrial flora and fauna. It was natural that she was sent on the most populous planet in the observed universe. Pandora was crowded with unexplored species of plants and animals and if it was Hell for marines, for scientists it was just Heaven. Only one thing prevented Jane from enjoying her job in full - her heavy pregnancy. Her belly was big and round, and sometimes unborn baby kicked Jane from the inside rather sensible. But as a true scientist, she couldn't stop her researches even in such ticklish situation, and now she was wading through thick Pandorian bushes with a misted filtrating mask on her face. The last researches of her colleagues showed, that the air on this planet was quite suitable for human's breathing, but according to the ordinance, they still were supposed to wear this unnecessary equipment. Fortunately, it was rather comfortable and brought no great inconvenience, even protecting uncalled strangers from pesky insects, which were mercilessly stinging undressed parts of humans' bodies.
      
      Their little squad contained one biologist and two botanists, guided by four marines with light assault weapon. Such guard surely wasn't the ultimate dream, but the bigger squad would be too noticeable and made Jane's job impossible. She was tracing small hexapod rodent, which could become a source of anti-cancer vaccine and save billions of lives. Unfortunately, Pandora's nature didn't understand the global purpose of Jane's researches, and soon their squad was attacked by local carnivorous fauna. Jane understood everything from the first sight on the gigantic flexible black body, which flashed in the bushes. Thanator or, as Na'Vi called him, palulukan, was a monstrous hexapod predator with smooth black bulletproof skin and a huge maw, filled with several rows of razor-sharp teeth. He was the size of a hippo and behaved as a panther, being a perfect predatory killing machine and the worst nightmare of Jane's guardians.
      
      Frightened marines started shooting into the bushes, where flexible dark silhouette was last seen, but only provoked the predator on more action. Hissing Thanator jumped off the bushes and attacked the closest marine. Jane goggled her eyes from shock - instead of tearing a tiny human apart, the huge predator engulfed his entire body with its maw and tilted up its spiky head, swallowing his helpless prey whole and alive with a loud gulping sound. A large squirming bulge slowly slid down through the beast's throat and settled down in its stomach. Thanator licked its lips and attacked the next marine, completely ignoring numerous bullets, which were helplessly bouncing off its thick skin. Jane stepped back, trembling with all of her body and breathing frequently from fear. Suddenly, a tree root appeared just behind her foot and pregnant scientist stumbled, falling on her back and rolling in the pit under the tree roots, hissing from pain and protecting her bloated belly from hits with all of her body. Only when she saw, how the mighty beast was mercilessly swallowing down her screaming colleagues one by one, she understood, how lucky she was.
      
      A minute later everything was over. The predator's stuffed glossy belly bulged down like a huge heavy dome. Desperate screams of five living preys could be easily heard from its fidgeting bloated stomach. Their constantly moving handprints and footprints were clearly visible on its stretched dark skin. One sound was the same on any planet - Thanator released a huge belch. He sniffed noisily and turned his head to Jane's unexpected shelter. The pregnant biologist was almost crying from fear, closing her mouth with her palms and staring with widely opened eyes on the approaching voracious monster. Happily, the last of her colleague scientists, who still wasn't eaten, stepped on a dry branch on the ground and attracted the predator's attention. Thanator turned back and found a botanist, who was running into the woods as fast as he could. With a mighty roar, the predatory beast started chasing his new prey, making his huge bloated stomach jiggle and wobble like it was made of rubber. Jane understood, that it was her single chance, and left her shelter, running to the opposite side as fast as she could, ignoring numerous branches, which were tearing her clothes apart. She preferred being scratched to being eaten whole and alive.
      
      Jane stopped running only when she was exhausted up to half-death. She flopped under the nearest tree with fluorescent green foliage, breathing deeply, almost suffocating in her filtrating mask, which was broken during Jane's downfall. The biologist furiously threw her useless equipment away and cried in despair. Her colleagues, who were her closest friends, were dead now, and she left alone in deep forest, filled with merciless predators, who were able to eat six humans at once. Yes, she was alive now, but surely not for a long time, as she had no weapon and all mobile communicating devices weren't working in Pandorian anomaly magnetic field. To the horror of Jane, her worst suggestions confirmed in five minutes. A pack of viperwolves or, as Na'Vi called them, nantangs, surrounded Jane. Poor scientist screamed from fear and instinctively started climbing on the tree, but her huge belly was insurmountable obstacle on her way. Jane turned back to the predators, breathing deeply and looking with fear, how the biggest one, who definitely was the leader, slowly approached to her.
      
      Dexterous hexapod creatures weren't called viperwolves for nothing - they had flat heads with wide mouths, filled with numerous needle-like teeth, which were bending, easily letting prey inside and reliably holding it from escape. The leader opened its mouth wide and bit Jane's ankles, making the scientist fall on the ground, and scream from pain in her wounded legs. The creature opened its mouth even wider and started shamelessly swallowing Jane whole and alive feet first. The poor scientist screamed and struggled as much as she could, but it was no use and her legs were slowly disappearing in the predator's throat inch by inch. Other viperwolves were patiently waiting when their leader finishes its meal. They ate together only big preys and such tiny snacks as humans always were eaten whole by every predator itself. Jane understood, that her struggling only made everything worse, as now her body was covered with numerous cuts from the predator's sharp teeth. But she could do nothing to her instincts and continued to panic, until the viperwolf put its strong sharp-clawed paw on her chest and pinned its prey to the ground.
      
      Its jaws reached her huge bloated belly and opened wide enough with some difficulties, but finally engulfed the pregnant abdomen without even scratching the human's tensed skin, as it was covered with tough jacket and Jane couldn't struggle anymore. The helpless scientist could only cry in despair, looking, how her bouncy breasts slowly disappear in the predator's throat inch by inch, until the widely opened mouth engulfed her entire head and the viperwolf sat straight, making her body rapidly slide down through its tight esophagus to its spacious stomach. The viperwolf licked its lips and burped loudly, purring with satisfaction. A second later, the full leader surprisingly swiftly raised on its paws and continued leading his pack to the bigger and more filling prey.       Half an hour later, when Jane's clothes were completely dissolved and the biologist herself was close to losing any hope, listening to predator's loud heartbeat, thick gurgling of its stomach and shrill hissing of its lungs, the leader slowed its run and laid down on its belly, obviously crawling to something. The devoured scientist gathered her last forces and started kicking the bouncy stomach walls around her, shouting loudly and trying to make as much noise as she could to disrupt the viperwolf's hunt. Her struggles gave the result - the confused predator rushed to his target earlier, than it should and yelped miserably, falling on its side. Jane couldn't hear the viperwolf's heartbeat anymore, but she clearly heard fading roars and yelps from the outside and understood, that the pack immediately ran away when its leader was taken down. She made a deep breath and screamed again, kicking everything around and trying to attract anybody to her prison of dead flesh. A few seconds later she felt somebody's touch from the outside and yelped when a sharp knife pierced the dead stomach and cut it, giving a long-awaited freedom to Jane.
      
      The released scientist wished to hug her saviors, thinking, that they could be nobody, but humans. It was hard to describe, how surprised she was, when she saw a huge cat-like blue face of a local Na'Vi aborigine. Jane was so scared, that recoiled back to the viperwolf's unpicked stomach, making her savior giggle. Na'Vi put her hands inside the human's fleshy shelter and took Jane out. The scientist closed her eyes from bright light, and when she saw two more Na'Vi, standing in three steps behind her savior, she understood, that her troubles had only begun. At least, she thought so.
      "Girls, look, it's a human woman!" The rescuer exclaimed, showing her trophy to her friends.
      "Humans are our enemies, Rini. Just leave her where you took her." Replied one of her companions.
      "But she's pregnant!" Rini protested, easily holding trembling Jane on her palm and pointing on her bloated belly. Her companions immediately got interested by her trophy and got closer to Jane, almost making her to faint from terror.
      "It changes everything - we are midwives and can't leave a mother to die in these woods, even if she belongs to the enemy species..." The second companion replied, looking with sympathy on naked Jane, covered with corporal liquids.
      "You damn right, Tsenu, but she is wounded and won't be able to get to her or our tribe herself..." Rini said, looking regretfully on Jane's legs, which were bitten hard by the viperwolf. Na'Vi had a deep thought, looking on Jane, who still kept silence and trembled from fear.
      "We won't be able to jump on woods with such a fragile creature in our hands..." One of the companions said gloomy.
      "Don't worry, Tuke - I saved her and I'll bring her in my stomach..." Rini said, looking on Jane with a friendly smile.  
      "You'll swallow her after she was in nantang's belly?" Tsenu asked with a mixture of surprise and disgust.
      "I have no choice..." Rini replied, ripping a huge leaf of Pandorian fern and wiping the nantang's corporal liquids from Jane, who was pushing Na'Vi's hand away and yelping in protest. She did not understand a word of their conversation and naturally was scared.
      
      Without giving her prey any chance to understand, what was happening, Rini opened her mouth wide and engulfed Jane's entire head with her lips, slowly and carefully shoving the tiny human deeper into her throat. The unlucky scientist screamed in terror, desperately slapping the Na'Vi's breasts and shoulders with her palms. Rini didn't even notice her resistance and made a huge gulp, devouring Jane up to her waist and trying her best to ignore the awful taste of nantang's gastric juices. Jane screamed fearfully, understanding, that she was eaten alive once again.       For Jane the road to Na'Vi's tribe wasn't as bad as she thought before. Jane got anxious, but kept calm, realizing that she wasn't able to do anything inside this tight gastric sack. Suddenly, her thoughts were interrupted by sharp stop. Her body continued moving inertially and bumped into the stretchy stomach wall. Obviously, they have reached the destination point.
      
      Slimy stomach walls, which became sweet home for Jane during this joyride, shrunk tight around her entire body, squeezing the devoured scientist's body like a huge fist. Jane felt, how her body slowly slid farther, until her head reached the Na'Vi's mouth and she finally was able to make a deep breath of fresh air. The predator coughed loudly and pregnant scientist, covered with thick layer of corporal liquids and saliva, finally left the Na'Vi's hospitable internals.
      
      Jane found herself laying on a huge hammock, made of fresh green foliage, in a wooden shack without windows, but with stone fireplace. She was surrounded by the same three Na'Vi's she met in the forest and all of them were breathing hard, like they were running a minute ago. Though, Jane was sure that everything was like she thought. She didn't understand only one thing - what will happen to her next? The predatory Na'Vi got closer to her former meal and made a strange gesture with her hands several times until she understood, that the human doesn't understand her. Then she carefully grabbed Jane herself and brought her to the huge washbowl. She put the woman inside and Jane yelped loudly - the water was really cold. But it was nothing compared to the godsent chance to finally clean herself from multiple predators' vomit. The Na'Vi looked with a kind smile on the human, who was trembling in cold water but still washed herself furiously. Five minutes later, when Jane started chattering her teeth from the cold, the Na'Vi pulled her out of the water and handled her a piece of rough cloth, similar to a towel. The pregnant scientist immediately enveloped herself in it from head to toes and felt herself much better. Na'Vi giggled and grabbed Jane again, bringing her back to the hammock.
      
      Jane gasped in surprise - there was a huge table with several bowls of local fruits and a dish with roasted meat, which smelled simply godlike. But she almost frozen from surprise, seeing that each of them was sitting on their own hammock in front of their own table with loads of food. Jane gulped nervously, but decided that she should at least try follow the local traditions and started from her favorite food - roasted meat. It was so tasty that she couldn't stop moaning from pleasure, closing her eyes in pure bliss while eating every piece of this giant exotic stake. Na'Vi's looked at her with amusement, but she didn't care, devouring her first course piece by piece. Finally, to her own surprise, she ate all of it, despite it was at least three kilos of meat.       "Hi! I'm Jane, a biologist who lost in the woods. My squad was eaten by a huge predator, but these girls saved me from a smaller predator's gut. Please, tell me, what are you going to do with me?" She asked impatiently.
      "These girls are... Midwives." Rea paused for a second, remembering suitable word. "They won't let you go until you give a birth to your baby. Then one of them will bring you back to the human base and leave you on the road, where you will be found really soon..." She said and took a deep breath - speaking on human language was really uneasy for Na'Vi, as they had bigger throats and mouths.
      
      "Sounds perfect for me, but will they be able to give me a medical help in case of any difficulties?" Jane asked carefully.
      "Oh, don't worry, they delivered babies hundreds of times and know their job better than anybody else..." Rea said with an encouraging smile on her face.
      "Okay, I trust you..." Jane replied, thinking that she has no choice anyway.
      "Great. Then just relax and enjoy your rest in our tribe. But better stay in the shack and don't walk alone outside. Most of Na'Vi are peaceful, but some of them lost their friends in war and hate humans..." She added with a serious face.
      "Don't worry, I understand this..." Jane replied with a bit of disappointment in her voice. She would be glad to study a Na'Vi tribe from the inside, even if it's not her specialization, but in these conditions, it would be a really bad idea. Rea smiled once again and left Jane alone with her saviors, who immediately surrounded her and started covering her entire body with floral salve, taking care about wounds from viperwolf's teeth. Jane sighed happily and relaxed - she felt herself like she was on spa, and she definitely wasn't going to make things go faster.
      
      Day passed after day, and the pregnant scientist got used to eat enormous amounts of food, enjoying every piece of exotic fruit or meat.       "Good morning, lovely. Are you ready to return back home?" She asked curiously.
      "Oh, Rini, I could barely say that my home is not here now..." Jane replied with a sad smile on her face. She got used to such life in a company of careful friends and didn't want to leave at all. Na'Vi looked on each other with happy smiles and each of them carefully hugged Jane.
      "We were glad to help you, lil sis! But you'll have to return to your tribe..." Tuke said with a sad sigh.
      "I understand..." Jane lowered her head a bit, but managed to smile to make this parting a bit easier. Rini patted her shoulder understandingly and hurried up to finish this sad moment.       Rini made a deep breath and looked on Jane with an exhausted smile.
      "I've brought you to the human base as close as possible, but you'll have to pass the rest of the way yourself. It won't take longer than half an hour in that direction..." Na'Vi said while raising off the ground and returning her loincloth on its place.
      "Thank you, Rini. You saved my life and my child, and I won't ever be able to give a worthy payback..." Jane said with a bit sad smile.
      "Oh, don't worry, lil sis. Just survive and grow up your son - it will be the best reward for us!" Rini smiled to Jane the last time and jumped on the tree, disappearing from her sight. Jane sighed sadly, realizing that she will never see her friend again. But she finally managed to raise on her feet and covered herself and her child with a piece of cloth. Jane made a deep breath and walked where her Na'Vi friend showed her to go. Five minutes later she reached a road and almost immediately faced a truck full of marines.
      
      The truck stopped and a couple of soldiers ran to Jane.
      "Ma'am, are you OK?" One of them asked, looking attentively on scientist with sleeping baby in her hands.
      "Yes, but I'm really cold and hungry. Can you give me a lift?" Jane asked with a hopeful voice.
      "Of course! Follow us!" The marine replied and guided a weird stranger to the truck. Jane took her place on the free seat and sighed with relief - now she and her baby were safe again.
      "So... Tell me, who are you and what the hell were you doing in the Pandorian forest in such outfit on your own?" Her savior asked in a devilishly curious voice. Jane giggled and started telling her long and tangled story, conquering attention of everyone around. Yeah, she was doomed to become the local celebrity, who had survived in deep forest for so long and stayed flawless together with her newborn child. Rini, who kept an eye on Jane till the end, finally sighed with relief and returned back to her friends. She made her duty once again and felt proud for it, even if her patient was a human.
