They stumble into a valley where they see badniks loading an egg pod full of helpless animals onto a flatbed truck ready to be converted.\n\n\"Y'see that Tails?\" Sonic points out the pod hided in a close bush. \"That's full of Eggman's victims off to become badniks for his army... y'know what we gotta do here?\" He asks.\n\nSonic smiles when Tails shakes his head in the negative.\n\n\"We smash it!\" Sonic leaps from cover and curls up into a spin, ploughing through badniks and slapping into the weak spot on the top of the pod. Freeing the helpless animals in pod.\nTails memorizing sonic moves went ahead when sonic wasn't looking and started to sham robots himself unlike Oscar the badnick weren’t that scary he was even counting them to compare with Sonic later.\nThen he saw the same machine that Sonic destroyed and launched himself to the weak spot. Then he continue the fight. Curiously he was fast enough and strong enough to destroy the machines and free the animals. Tails started to search another one too excited to care about being close with sonic or being careful it was his moment to gain respect from the people and he was going to use it.\nSonic fights back waves of robots to buy time for the animals in the pod to make their escape. He keeps an eye on the bush where he thinks Tails is still hiding, not seeing that he has joined the battle. The badniks are thinning out getting Sonic a little suspicions there weren’t as much like in scrap brain zone his conclusion probably Eggman doesn’t know that he is there. \n\nHe free animals and also destroying robots he had to admit he had missed this no fans or people getting in his just him and the robots that challenge him\nHey Tails!\" Sonic strides confidently towards the spot where he thinks the fox is still hiding now that the battle is over. \"You can come out now.\"\nTails had destroyed all the robots on his side of the hill but he didn't saw one who was behind him he also didn't hear sonic call.\n\nTails?!\" Sonic starts to jog towards the hiding spot when Tails doesn't come out, frightened that something 'got' him. He doesn't see the fox or the lone robot behind him. \n\nTails just say \"look at me sonic I can do it too” he said full of confidence when the motobug robot was about to charge at him.\n\"Tails!\" Sonic screams. He rolls up into a spin dash at once. Arcing around the cub and smashing into the badnick who would hurt him. \"What were you thinking?!\" He yells at the fox when the robot is totally destroyed \"You could have got really badly hurt!!\" he breaths and continue” Did you even see that badnick creeping up on you Tails?\" Sonic says sternly. \"You promised you would do as I said. I wasn't joking Tails, it's for your own good. You need to learn about the value of giving your word.\" \n“But sonic I want to fight badniks too “being alone for so much time had made tails susceptible to take orders “I don't wanna hide “he said kicking the ground and pouting.\n\nBut Tails didn't have much time to complain Eggman appeared riding his egg mobile who looked like a car with a drill \"Sonic I would have never guest that your weakness was little kids\" he say smirking trying to ice he didn’t predict Sonic arrival at the scene. \n\"Eggman!\" Sonic growls out the name. \"Tails, we'll talk about this later, get to cover for now.\"\n\nSonic turns on Eggman, dodging out of the way of the car. \"Eggman! What is your rotten plan this time?! What have you been doing in the city?!\"\nTails didn’t like the idea of hiding but then he had an idea that could help Sonic, he jumped to a tree then to another he was above sonic and Eggman now just waiting for an opportunity the two of them didn't notice him\n\n\"Nothing sonic you see when you destroyed my base in south island I decided to start my empire here is should be perfect place, but you have to show up\" the car started to advance charging at sonic and everyone could see that this try was lame it was too easy dodge it.\nSonic smiled jumped and spin-attacks into the vulnerable top of the car, dealing it some damage. It seems Eggman had nothing to do with Tails being abandoned, if he is to be believed, but then 99-times-in-100 Eggman lies. Sonic doubts this is that 1 time he is telling the truth.\n\"Oww stay still sneaky pest!” Eggman shouted and charged at sonic again.\n\n\"This is my opportunity “thought Tails and he jumped to the card dealing some damage then he bounced and he deals twice damage \"I'm winning sonic I can hit him more times than you “he says as he landed to the floor and dodged Eggman\n\"Tails?! Don't be so reckless!\" Sonic yells and then stops dead in astonishment. \"I never thought I’d say that.\" He mumbles. He spin dashes into the unprotected back of the car.\nTails and Eggman also stopped \"what did sonic say??\" Both talked at the same time coming back to reality when sonic attacked \n\nEggman was having a difficult time he wasn't prepared to fight two person's he wasn’t prepared to fight one person he wasn’t prepared to fight Sonic so he decided to fly away \"blast you sonic and you fox thing\" \n\nTails was laughing and making faces at him not seeing Sonic getting close and until he grabbed his arm \"Come with me.\" He says firmly.\n\nHe sees a small metal hut nearby, the logo indicates it was made by Eggman, but he figures it will suffice to take shelter in and talk things over with Tails “Wait for me inside” tails really quickly thanks to Sonic tone of voice so Sonic had time time to free the people.\nAfter the usual thanks you and autographs Sonic was free to go to the hut and talk with Tails who had took seat inside in other bench \n\n\"Tails what were you doing?\" Sonic asks as he sits on a small bench in the inside of the hut. The room is a bare metal cuboid with sliding doors and a panel of buttons, but Sonic doesn't pay any attention to that. \"Don't you realize you could have got hurt?\"\nNow Tails was a little scared he had never seen sonic had never talked to him in that way he but he had nothing to fear after all he didn't do anything wrong, did he?\n\nWhen Sonic asked the question Tails was perplexed \"Don't worry Sonic I was perfectly fine with that¡\" he responded with a little attitude after all he only helped him.\n\"But I'm not Tails!\" Sonic says. He sighs. \"I'd be really upset if you got hurt little buddy. You're my friend and that means you're important to me. I want to keep you safe, do you understand?\"\nFirst Tails was surprised by the sudden raise of voice then the next word's did the effect Tails just was a kid who believed he was right and in a second he became a cub filled with guilt, the fact that nobody has called him friend also affected \" I'm sorry Sonic \" he say in his place looking down \"I'm so sorry \" his eyes slowly tearing up\nSonic hugs his new friend. Comforting him and showing that he's cared for. What has to happen next is going to be unpleasant for the little fox, but necessary. Sonic waits for the kid's tears to dry.\n\n\"You've got a problem keeping your word Tails... You 'borrow' things and when you promise me you'll do something you immediately break your promise... I know you don't understand just yet why it's important to keep your word... but until you do I'm going to have to give you another reason to...\"\nTails hugged sonic back and cried on his chest he felt so comfortable in sonic hug like nothing would hurt him now he calmed down\nAnd sonic was right he didn't understand why he was making a scandal about so little things Oscar lied all the time and he had seen him \"borrowing\" thing's most time he was blamed he was in jail for Oscar fault one time then sonic pulled him over his lap.\n\nTails had never been spanked before so he didn't move or squirm he just innocently asked \"what are you doing Sonic\"\n\"If you can't behave without an incentive then I'm going to give you one; every time you lie to me I will spank you Tails. Let's try ten spanks per lie to start with?\" He raises his paw. Tails lied to him twice. That's twenty spanks. He starts, intending to put this cub on the right path again.\n\"But Soniiic I didn't lie to you! And what is a spank?\" Tails asked by the tone of voice he could tell that it was bad he squirmed a little but when Sonic started Tails immediately moved his hand's to his butt and tried to move his tails for cover \"Stop why are you hitting me stop!! \"\n\"Its incentive Tails when you stop lying I'll stop spanking... and you did lie to me, twice. You promised you would stay out of danger, but you joined in both battles. That's not cool little guy. Now, move your paws.\"\n\"No I’ll move them when you promise that you will not hit me \" Tails say he didn't understand Sonic had say that he was his friend but now he was hitting him, did he had been lying to bring his defenses down? All of this was a lie?\n\nTails... this is for your own good, you need to learn not to lie.\" Sonic tries explaining it to the vulnerable cub.\n\n\"Soniiic I will not lie to you again but please stop\" although he was four years old tails did have strength to resist. \"Soniiic\" he tried again looking at him with his blue puppy eyes who showed regret and guilt as them started to tear up\n\nSonic hesitates. On the one hand he really doesn't want to hurt the kid, and he seems to be sincere. On the other not following through with his threats might make Tails think he can always bargain his way out of trouble.\n\nSonic sighs. Tails seems to get that this is a big deal now. If he misbehaves again then he will spank him; no question. \"Okay Tails, but I'll hold you to that, and if you lie to me again I will spank you, that's a promise from me.\"\n\nHe puts the kid on the floor and stands up. He hits what he thinks is the 'door open' button, but really it activates the lift. Sending them rocketing down Eggman's express line to the chemical plant zone.\n\nTails accepted sonic promise knowing that he couldn't get out of this one again\n\nIn the express line was a TV who showed that chemical plant zone wasn't being attacked\n\nAs they travel Tails grows insecure like he wanted to say something “hum sonic there was something I want to show you \" he said now from his tails he grabbed a book of fairy tales \"I only pick up this honest \" he hold the book in front of him\n\nSonic sighs. \"And we didn't check it out did we?\"\n\nThis kid is quite a handful the hedgehog is starting to realize. \n\n\"Okay, I'm glad you trusted me enough to tell me, but you still shouldn't have 'picked it up'. We're going to have to take it back as soon as possible and apologize to the librarians.\" Sonic decides Tails looked ashamed at this moment.\n\nSince there seems to be a lot of time left on their journey he picks up Tails and sits him on his lap \"Would you like me to read you a story from it?\"\n\nFor a moment tails was scared that sonic would spank him again but when he asked the question he say \"yes\" he said not quite enthusiastic as someone would think in fact Tails looked worried about something\n\nSonic notices Tails' fear, but he decides not to badger him about it right away. If the story doesn't calm him down he will ask again afterwards.\n\nHe opens to the first page of the first story; getting Tails comfortable on his lap and making sure he can see the pictures.\n\n\"Once upon a time...\"\n\n\"A good blue hedgehog “Tails interrupted more enthusiastic about the history \"who fight an evil rotten giant egg\" tails ended getting comfortable in sonic lap\n\n\"Uh, yeah.\" Sonic cuddles the little guy. \"You like that story?\"\n\n\"I love it sonic but can I ask you a question?\" Tails needed all his bravery to say this “can the hero have a little friend he don't have to appear in every story but he can be there “he asked his shy self-showing up again\n\n\"A brave sort of fox boy maybe?\" Sonic asks smiling and ruffling Tails' head fur gently as he 'catches on' at what Tails is hinting at. \"Kinda clever? Maybe he has a pal called Socks too who goes on their adventures too?\"\n\n\"Hum-hum \"Tails starting to smile again \"no Sonic don't be silly socks has to take care of their home so nobody can enter and break their things\" then Tails realized how he called Sonic and was about to start apologizing again and again\n\nSonic laughs. \"Okay, Socks has to stay home... So just the hedgehog and his fox friend then.\"\n\nTails couldn't believe that sonic laugh he was expecting a spanking minimum but he relaxed\n\nSonic puts the book of fairytales to one side and lays back on the hard bench, Tails resting on top of him, and thinks. \n\n\"Okay, I think I know a story...\" He starts to tell Tails a slightly-embellished story based on one of his previous adventures, inserting him into the narrative.\n\nAs the story continues tails slowly start to fall asleep poor sonic he would have to carry a little sleeping fox to the hotel\n\nIt's a little later that the express carriage comes to a stop. Sonic collects everything and steps out, cradling Tails in his arms.\n\nEggman went to the trouble of creating a direct route to this place, so he must have been doing something here.\n\nSonic wanders around, trying to get a feel for the place.\n\nMost of the people wouldn't look at Sonic they were too tired after a long day of work to do so, a map showed sonic the closer hotel. \n\nThis hotel had rooms from one start to five when the manager saw sonic on his door he couldn't believe his eye's \"mister hedgehog allow me to carry you and your friend to your room\"\n\nSonic smiles. At last he found someone who was willing to give him faster service, rather than slower, because of his fame. \"That'd be way beyond cool, Mister?\"\n\n\"Pig \" this guy was an uncle of Oscar who was in the hotel only that neither sonic or tails knew that\n\nThe manager guided them to an elevator and the room was the best it was at the top of the hotel and you could see all the plant from there \n\n\"Our bathrooms have a selections of soap's and you can take a nice bath there and relax your friend Kinda need it \" it was true tails fur who was supposed to be white was brow and he stinks a little but after being tossed in a trash can how else would you smell.\n\nHe give sonic the key's and leave them alone tails slowly started to wake up\n\nSonic lays Tails out on one of the beds. \"Hey little buddy, you sure slept in. You must have needed it.\"\n\n\"Where are we\" asked Tails yawning cutely\n\n\"The Chemical Plant Zone, we arrived while you were asleep.\" Sonic says. \"Do you want to have the first bath or the second?\" Sonic asks, deftly omitting the option of not-bathing.\n\n\"Can I don't have any” asked tails with his puppy eyes\n\nSonic chuckles. \"We have a bathroom here... look.\" He points over to the door. \"I'll go run you a nice warm bath okay? Do you want bubbles?\"\n\n\"But sonic I don't want a bat\" the reasons behind tails resistance was that Oscar always bragged about not taking showers so now tails tried to imitate him\n\nYeah, after today? Sorry buddy you need one, pee-yew.\" He pinches his nose and waves his hand as if warding off the stench, all playfully, trying to get Tails on his side with the bath idea.\n\nHe stands up and walks into the bathroom. \"I'll just start it running little guy, okay?\" He puts the plug in and starts filling it up, adding some of the hotel's bubble mix.\n\nThat make tails feel a little ashamed but when sonic leaved he hidden under the bed waiting for sonic to give up\n\n\"Okay Tails now let’s get you in th--- Tails?!\" Sonic sighs. \"Where are you hiding Tails?\" He asks as he starts to search the room.\n\nTails didn't talk after all his time hiding he could silence his breath\n\nUnfortunately, 'under the bed' isn't a very imaginative hiding place and Sonic soon finds him.\n\n\"Ah ha! Gotcha!\" His hands clamp onto Tails, and he drags him out of hiding.\n\nThen he carries the struggling boy---his arms outstretched---to the tub which is now full of bubbles.\n\n\"No sonic I can't take a bat if I do... ”He tried to find a reasonable reason \"sock will not recognize me” that looked reasonable enough in his mind\n\nSonic holds him over the bath-of-doom. \"Of course Socks will recognize you... it's just a bath Tails... now are you going to stop making a fuss when I put you down?\"\n\n\"No!\" Tails responded thinking that he had won\n\nSonic puts him in the bath.\n\"No sonic\" tails started to squirm splashing water all over the place especially sonic\n\nSonic continues to bathe the reluctant fox, not caring that he's getting wet. He's getting into the bath next. \"Stop fussing Tails, you smell better already.\" It's true, the water quickly grows grimy as Sonic massages the kit's fur.\n\n\"But I don't want to bath \" tails then have an idea he started to spin his tails that has the desired effect as the water started to leave the bathtub if anyone saw sonic they would think that he just take a bat\n\nSonic's paw clamps down on those spinning tails. \"Well too bad, you need one Tails.\" The hedgehog's cool is being rapidly exhausted.\n\n\"But I don't need one” Tails responded not seeing that he was making sonic lose his patience he moved sonic hand's with a strength that sonic didn't knew he had\n\n\"Yes... You... Do.... now hold still Tails.\" Sonic grits his teeth as he struggles with the disobedient fox. \"Stop misbehaving.\"\n\nno no and no “But tails catches sonic hands all this time believing sonic was using all his strength and used his tails to specifically throw water at him with the force of his spinning tails\n\nGrrah! Tails sit down! And stop being naughty or I swear I'll spank you!\" Sonic loses his cool.\n\nThis make sonic desire of making tails stop but he would need to face another problem tails eyes started to fill with tears \"but… but sonic\" he said in a sad tone all of his rebel spirit lose \"but we are friends \"\n\nTails' expression and words melt Sonic's heart, he calms down. \"We're friends Tails,\" he says sadly. \"But why are you making bath-time so difficult then\n\n\"Because *sniff* Oscar will not be my friend if I take a bath \" Tails responded fully believing that one time that Oscar say \"if you don't bath for three years I will be your friend\" starting to cry as he realized that he didn't made his part of the deal\n\n\"Who's Oscar?\" Sonic asks hugging the half-clean boy.\n\nTails cried a little and started to explain \"Oscar is the co-*hic coolest kid in the city, everyone respect him be-because he always has the reason and some kids gain the honor of doing his homework. I believed that I could be his friend but you screwed it “Tails say getting mad and pushing sonic back\n\n\"The 'honor' of doing his homework?\" Sonic asks. \"That doesn't sound like much of an honor to me.\"\n\n\"It is sonic and is a big responsibility and if you don't do it he punch you, is the correct punishment for failing to him because being the coolest kid needed a lot of his time and he couldn't waste it doing homework \" Tails being little had believed most of the lies that Oscar told him but who would blame him the only advice he had was a teddy bear\n\n\"It sounds like people mostly do his homework so he doesn't punch them.\" Sonic points out. \"He doesn't sound that cool to me.\"\n\n\"But he is Sonic this is one of the reason he is cool...\" Tails started to tell sonic a lot of questionable things that Oscar did most of them suffered by him\n\n\"Yeah... He's a jerk.\" Sonic declares flatly after listening to Tails for a while. \"You shouldn't even hate him, just ditch him and get some real friends.\"\n\n\nTails was surprised by sonic declaration \"but sonic everyone is his friend if I ditch him nobody would be my friend\" he say \"except you\" he added quietly\n\nsomeone knocked the door \"mister hedgehog is everything alright\"\n\n\"One mo' little buddy.\" He touches Tails' cute nose.\n\nSonic stands and goes to open the door. \"Uh huh, what is it?\"\n\n\"There was a lot of noise coming from here “asked the manager \" is everything alright \" he say looking at the completely wet hedgehog \n\nTails was left thinking Sonic just say that Oscar was a jerk a thing that nobody would say in front of him. Tails was really confused he wasn't even thinking about leaving the bathtub\n\n\"Just a troublesome bath-time... you know how kids are.\" Sonic says confidently.\n\n\"I will recommend one of our hairbrush we have a really good selection for times like these\" the manager responded \"and after the test you can even buy one... Obviously you would get an special price “the manager added\n\n\"No... I think we're done with tantrums for today.\" Sonic looks over at the bathroom. \"And I think my paw is enough to deal with anything that comes up.\"\n\n\"Okay but if you think otherwise the brush is under the shelf” then he leaved the room\n\nTails hear the part of the hairbrush and he was preparing himself to say \"please don't buy it “in the cutest way he could\n\nSonic goes back into the bathroom, taking a peek at the hairbrush curiously.\n\nIt was white and also say something interesting also works with quills \n\nTails seeing sonic actions put his hands on his butt in instinct\n\n\"Relax little buddy. I don't need to use this on you, right?\" Sonic walks over. \"Let’s top up your bath since you got most of the water out of it already. You've got to admit it feels nice to be clean, doesn't it?\"\n\nTails relaxed after hearing sonic words also Sonic was right Tails feel better and sonic could discover that tails fur was actually white in some parts \"okay sonic\"\n\nSonic proceeds to wash Tails fully. He does have occasion to use the brush on him, but only after he is out of the bath and standing on a dry towel, and then only to brush out his fur. He takes the remote and turns off the TV. \"Okay Tails time for bed. There's a fresh toothbrush for Tails in the cup by the sink.\n\nSonic pulls back the covers to Tails' chosen bed. \"Okay little buddy, in you get.\"\n\nTails got inside the bed as sonic tucked him in he really wanted to see TV but the best will be to wait for sonic to be asleep he closed his eyes immediately and say \" Sonic I'm sleeping \"\n\n\"Uh huh? Is that so?\" Sonic chuckles at the poor deception, but he doesn't think it means anything. \"Just remember you promised not to lie to me anymore.\"\n\nSonic goes to turn out the room's light, then he gets into his own bed.\n\nThat got Tails thinking for a while after all he didn't lie at sonic he only didn't tell sonic that he took the remote or that he carried sock there bur if sonic considered that a lie he would be in trouble he counted to one hundred and asked to sock \" what I'm gonna do sock then he hid it again”\n\nSonic lays in the darkness. It's a little early for him to go to sleep, but they will be starting off early tomorrow to find Eggman so they need the rest. In the meantime Sonic sets a good example for Tails by pretending to sleep himself and listening out for any trouble.\n\nThen Tails got decided seeing that sonic was \"asleep\" he got up and leaved the remote on the shelf as fast as he could getting in bed almost immediately\n\nSonic watches him silently. Smiling as he sees the cub choosing to be honest when faced with a choice for the first time. Sonic smiles when Tails shakes his head in the negative.
"We smash it!" Sonic leaps from cover and curls up into a spin, ploughing through badniks and slapping into the weak spot on the top of the pod. Freeing the helpless animals in pod.
Tails memorizing sonic moves went ahead when sonic wasn't looking and started to sham robots himself unlike Oscar the badnick weren’t that scary he was even counting them to compare with Sonic later.
Then he saw the same machine that Sonic destroyed and launched himself to the weak spot. Then he continue the fight. Curiously he was fast enough and strong enough to destroy the machines and free the animals. Tails started to search another one too excited to care about being close with sonic or being careful it was his moment to gain respect from the people and he was going to use it.
Sonic fights back waves of robots to buy time for the animals in the pod to make their escape. He keeps an eye on the bush where he thinks Tails is still hiding, not seeing that he has joined the battle. The badniks are thinning out getting Sonic a little suspicions there weren’t as much like in scrap brain zone his conclusion probably Eggman doesn’t know that he is there.
He free animals and also destroying robots he had to admit he had missed this no fans or people getting in his just him and the robots that challenge him
Hey Tails!" Sonic strides confidently towards the spot where he thinks the fox is still hiding now that the battle is over. "You can come out now."
Tails had destroyed all the robots on his side of the hill but he didn't saw one who was behind him he also didn't hear sonic call.
Tails?!" Sonic starts to jog towards the hiding spot when Tails doesn't come out, frightened that something 'got' him. He doesn't see the fox or the lone robot behind him.
Tails just say "look at me sonic I can do it too” he said full of confidence when the motobug robot was about to charge at him.
"Tails!" Sonic screams. He rolls up into a spin dash at once. Arcing around the cub and smashing into the badnick who would hurt him. "What were you thinking?!" He yells at the fox when the robot is totally destroyed "You could have got really badly hurt!!" he breaths and continue” Did you even see that badnick creeping up on you Tails?" Sonic says sternly. "You promised you would do as I said. I wasn't joking Tails, it's for your own good. You need to learn about the value of giving your word."
“But sonic I want to fight badniks too “being alone for so much time had made tails susceptible to take orders “I don't wanna hide “he said kicking the ground and pouting.
But Tails didn't have much time to complain Eggman appeared riding his egg mobile who looked like a car with a drill "Sonic I would have never guest that your weakness was little kids" he say smirking trying to ice he didn’t predict Sonic arrival at the scene.
"Eggman!" Sonic growls out the name. "Tails, we'll talk about this later, get to cover for now."
Sonic turns on Eggman, dodging out of the way of the car. "Eggman! What is your rotten plan this time?! What have you been doing in the city?!"
Tails didn’t like the idea of hiding but then he had an idea that could help Sonic, he jumped to a tree then to another he was above sonic and Eggman now just waiting for an opportunity the two of them didn't notice him
"Nothing sonic you see when you destroyed my base in south island I decided to start my empire here is should be perfect place, but you have to show up" the car started to advance charging at sonic and everyone could see that this try was lame it was too easy dodge it.
Sonic smiled jumped and spin-attacks into the vulnerable top of the car, dealing it some damage. It seems Eggman had nothing to do with Tails being abandoned, if he is to be believed, but then 99-times-in-100 Eggman lies. Sonic doubts this is that 1 time he is telling the truth.
"Oww stay still sneaky pest!” Eggman shouted and charged at sonic again.
"This is my opportunity “thought Tails and he jumped to the card dealing some damage then he bounced and he deals twice damage "I'm winning sonic I can hit him more times than you “he says as he landed to the floor and dodged Eggman
"Tails?! Don't be so reckless!" Sonic yells and then stops dead in astonishment. "I never thought I’d say that." He mumbles. He spin dashes into the unprotected back of the car.
Tails and Eggman also stopped "what did sonic say??" Both talked at the same time coming back to reality when sonic attacked
Eggman was having a difficult time he wasn't prepared to fight two person's he wasn’t prepared to fight one person he wasn’t prepared to fight Sonic so he decided to fly away "blast you sonic and you fox thing"
Tails was laughing and making faces at him not seeing Sonic getting close and until he grabbed his arm "Come with me." He says firmly.
He sees a small metal hut nearby, the logo indicates it was made by Eggman, but he figures it will suffice to take shelter in and talk things over with Tails “Wait for me inside” tails really quickly thanks to Sonic tone of voice so Sonic had time time to free the people.
After the usual thanks you and autographs Sonic was free to go to the hut and talk with Tails who had took seat inside in other bench
"Tails what were you doing?" Sonic asks as he sits on a small bench in the inside of the hut. The room is a bare metal cuboid with sliding doors and a panel of buttons, but Sonic doesn't pay any attention to that. "Don't you realize you could have got hurt?"
Now Tails was a little scared he had never seen sonic had never talked to him in that way he but he had nothing to fear after all he didn't do anything wrong, did he?
When Sonic asked the question Tails was perplexed "Don't worry Sonic I was perfectly fine with that¡" he responded with a little attitude after all he only helped him.
"But I'm not Tails!" Sonic says. He sighs. "I'd be really upset if you got hurt little buddy. You're my friend and that means you're important to me. I want to keep you safe, do you understand?"
First Tails was surprised by the sudden raise of voice then the next word's did the effect Tails just was a kid who believed he was right and in a second he became a cub filled with guilt, the fact that nobody has called him friend also affected " I'm sorry Sonic " he say in his place looking down "I'm so sorry " his eyes slowly tearing up
Sonic hugs his new friend. Comforting him and showing that he's cared for. What has to happen next is going to be unpleasant for the little fox, but necessary. Sonic waits for the kid's tears to dry.
"You've got a problem keeping your word Tails... You 'borrow' things and when you promise me you'll do something you immediately break your promise... I know you don't understand just yet why it's important to keep your word... but until you do I'm going to have to give you another reason to..."
Tails hugged sonic back and cried on his chest he felt so comfortable in sonic hug like nothing would hurt him now he calmed down
And sonic was right he didn't understand why he was making a scandal about so little things Oscar lied all the time and he had seen him "borrowing" thing's most time he was blamed he was in jail for Oscar fault one time then sonic pulled him over his lap.

Sonic hesitates. On the one hand he really doesn't want to hurt the kid, and he seems to be sincere. On the other not following through with his threats might make Tails think he can always bargain his way out of trouble.
Sonic sighs. Tails seems to get that this is a big deal now. If he misbehaves again then he will spank him; no question. "Okay Tails, but I'll hold you to that, and if you lie to me again I will spank you, that's a promise from me."
He puts the kid on the floor and stands up. He hits what he thinks is the 'door open' button, but really it activates the lift. Sending them rocketing down Eggman's express line to the chemical plant zone.

As they travel Tails grows insecure like he wanted to say something “hum sonic there was something I want to show you " he said now from his tails he grabbed a book of fairy tales "I only pick up this honest " he hold the book in front of him
Sonic sighs. "And we didn't check it out did we?"
This kid is quite a handful the hedgehog is starting to realize.
"Okay, I'm glad you trusted me enough to tell me, but you still shouldn't have 'picked it up'. We're going to have to take it back as soon as possible and apologize to the librarians." Sonic decides Tails looked ashamed at this moment.
Since there seems to be a lot of time left on their journey he picks up Tails and sits him on his lap "Would you like me to read you a story from it?"
For a moment tails was scared that sonic would spank him again but when he asked the question he say "yes" he said not quite enthusiastic as someone would think in fact Tails looked worried about something
Sonic notices Tails' fear, but he decides not to badger him about it right away. If the story doesn't calm him down he will ask again afterwards.

"Hum-hum "Tails starting to smile again "no Sonic don't be silly socks has to take care of their home so nobody can enter and break their things" then Tails realized how he called Sonic and was about to start apologizing again and again
Sonic laughs. "Okay, Socks has to stay home... So just the hedgehog and his fox friend then."
Tails couldn't believe that sonic laugh he was expecting a spanking minimum but he relaxed
Sonic puts the book of fairytales to one side and lays back on the hard bench, Tails resting on top of him, and thinks.
"Okay, I think I know a story..." He starts to tell Tails a slightly-embellished story based on one of his previous adventures, inserting him into the narrative.
As the story continues tails slowly start to fall asleep poor sonic he would have to carry a little sleeping fox to the hotel
It's a little later that the express carriage comes to a stop. Sonic collects everything and steps out, cradling Tails in his arms.
Eggman went to the trouble of creating a direct route to this place, so he must have been doing something here.
Sonic wanders around, trying to get a feel for the place.
Most of the people wouldn't look at Sonic they were too tired after a long day of work to do so, a map showed sonic the closer hotel.
This hotel had rooms from one start to five when the manager saw sonic on his door he couldn't believe his eye's "mister hedgehog allow me to carry you and your friend to your room"
Sonic smiles. At last he found someone who was willing to give him faster service, rather than slower, because of his fame. "That'd be way beyond cool, Mister?"
"Pig " this guy was an uncle of Oscar who was in the hotel only that neither sonic or tails knew that
The manager guided them to an elevator and the room was the best it was at the top of the hotel and you could see all the plant from there
"Our bathrooms have a selections of soap's and you can take a nice bath there and relax your friend Kinda need it " it was true tails fur who was supposed to be white was brow and he stinks a little but after being tossed in a trash can how else would you smell.
He give sonic the key's and leave them alone tails slowly started to wake up
Sonic lays Tails out on one of the beds. "Hey little buddy, you sure slept in. You must have needed it."
"Where are we" asked Tails yawning cutely
"The Chemical Plant Zone, we arrived while you were asleep." Sonic says. "Do you want to have the first bath or the second?" Sonic asks, deftly omitting the option of not-bathing.
"Can I don't have any” asked tails with his puppy eyes
Sonic chuckles. "We have a bathroom here... look." He points over to the door. "I'll go run you a nice warm bath okay? Do you want bubbles?"
"But sonic I don't want a bat" the reasons behind tails resistance was that Oscar always bragged about not taking showers so now tails tried to imitate him
Yeah, after today? Sorry buddy you need one, pee-yew." He pinches his nose and waves his hand as if warding off the stench, all playfully, trying to get Tails on his side with the bath idea.
He stands up and walks into the bathroom. "I'll just start it running little guy, okay?" He puts the plug in and starts filling it up, adding some of the hotel's bubble mix.
That make tails feel a little ashamed but when sonic leaved he hidden under the bed waiting for sonic to give up
"Okay Tails now let’s get you in th--- Tails?!" Sonic sighs. "Where are you hiding Tails?" He asks as he starts to search the room.
Tails didn't talk after all his time hiding he could silence his breath
Unfortunately, 'under the bed' isn't a very imaginative hiding place and Sonic soon finds him.
"Ah ha! Gotcha!" His hands clamp onto Tails, and he drags him out of hiding.
Then he carries the struggling boy---his arms outstretched---to the tub which is now full of bubbles.
"No sonic I can't take a bat if I do... ”He tried to find a reasonable reason "sock will not recognize me” that looked reasonable enough in his mind
Sonic holds him over the bath-of-doom. "Of course Socks will recognize you... it's just a bath Tails... now are you going to stop making a fuss when I put you down?"
"No!" Tails responded thinking that he had won
Sonic puts him in the bath.
"No sonic" tails started to squirm splashing water all over the place especially sonic
Sonic continues to bathe the reluctant fox, not caring that he's getting wet. He's getting into the bath next. "Stop fussing Tails, you smell better already." It's true, the water quickly grows grimy as Sonic massages the kit's fur.
"But I don't want to bath " tails then have an idea he started to spin his tails that has the desired effect as the water started to leave the bathtub if anyone saw sonic they would think that he just take a bat
Sonic's paw clamps down on those spinning tails. "Well too bad, you need one Tails." The hedgehog's cool is being rapidly exhausted.
"But I don't need one” Tails responded not seeing that he was making sonic lose his patience he moved sonic hand's with a strength that sonic didn't knew he had
"Yes... You... Do.... now hold still Tails." Sonic grits his teeth as he struggles with the disobedient fox. "Stop misbehaving."
no no and no “But tails catches sonic hands all this time believing sonic was using all his strength and used his tails to specifically throw water at him with the force of his spinning tails
Grrah! Tails sit down! And stop being naughty or I swear I'll spank you!" Sonic loses his cool.
This make sonic desire of making tails stop but he would need to face another problem tails eyes started to fill with tears "but… but sonic" he said in a sad tone all of his rebel spirit lose "but we are friends "
Tails' expression and words melt Sonic's heart, he calms down. "We're friends Tails," he says sadly. "But why are you making bath-time so difficult then
"Because *sniff* Oscar will not be my friend if I take a bath " Tails responded fully believing that one time that Oscar say "if you don't bath for three years I will be your friend" starting to cry as he realized that he didn't made his part of the deal
"Who's Oscar?" Sonic asks hugging the half-clean boy.
Tails cried a little and started to explain "Oscar is the co-*hic coolest kid in the city, everyone respect him be-because he always has the reason and some kids gain the honor of doing his homework. I believed that I could be his friend but you screwed it “Tails say getting mad and pushing sonic back
"The 'honor' of doing his homework?" Sonic asks. "That doesn't sound like much of an honor to me."
"It is sonic and is a big responsibility and if you don't do it he punch you, is the correct punishment for failing to him because being the coolest kid needed a lot of his time and he couldn't waste it doing homework " Tails being little had believed most of the lies that Oscar told him but who would blame him the only advice he had was a teddy bear
"It sounds like people mostly do his homework so he doesn't punch them." Sonic points out. "He doesn't sound that cool to me."
"But he is Sonic this is one of the reason he is cool..." Tails started to tell sonic a lot of questionable things that Oscar did most of them suffered by him
"Yeah... He's a jerk." Sonic declares flatly after listening to Tails for a while. "You shouldn't even hate him, just ditch him and get some real friends."
Tails was surprised by sonic declaration "but sonic everyone is his friend if I ditch him nobody would be my friend" he say "except you" he added quietly
someone knocked the door "mister hedgehog is everything alright"
"One mo' little buddy." He touches Tails' cute nose.
Sonic stands and goes to open the door. "Uh huh, what is it?"
"There was a lot of noise coming from here “asked the manager " is everything alright " he say looking at the completely wet hedgehog
Tails was left thinking Sonic just say that Oscar was a jerk a thing that nobody would say in front of him. Tails was really confused he wasn't even thinking about leaving the bathtub
"Just a troublesome bath-time... you know how kids are." Sonic says confidently.
"I will recommend one of our hairbrush we have a really good selection for times like these" the manager responded "and after the test you can even buy one... Obviously you would get an special price “the manager added
"No... I think we're done with tantrums for today." Sonic looks over at the bathroom. "And I think my paw is enough to deal with anything that comes up."
"Okay but if you think otherwise the brush is under the shelf” then he leaved the room
Tails hear the part of the hairbrush and he was preparing himself to say "please don't buy it “in the cutest way he could
Sonic goes back into the bathroom, taking a peek at the hairbrush curiously.
It was white and also say something interesting also works with quills
Tails seeing sonic actions put his hands on his butt in instinct
"Relax little buddy. I don't need to use this on you, right?" Sonic walks over. "Let’s top up your bath since you got most of the water out of it already. You've got to admit it feels nice to be clean, doesn't it?"
Tails relaxed after hearing sonic words also Sonic was right Tails feel better and sonic could discover that tails fur was actually white in some parts "okay sonic"
Sonic proceeds to wash Tails fully. He does have occasion to use the brush on him, but only after he is out of the bath and standing on a dry towel, and then only to brush out his fur. He dries the little cub in a soft, fluffy towel. "There... that wasn't so bad, was it?"
"No it wasn't " Tails smiled he got scared every time that sonic moved the hairbrush but when he discovered that his butt was safe he relaxed again then his tummy growled and tails face got red
"Hungry, huh?" Sonic asks. "Well why don't you see if there's anything left in our bags to eat?" He gives Tails a pat on the rump. "I'm going to have a bath too, then we can go get some dinner."
"Okay sonic " tails say after sonic went to bath he searched in the bags to discover that they were empty so tails looked at the room
Almost everything was made of polished metal and it has an expensive looking TV in the wall. Tails has never seen this type of TV so he ignored it thinking it was a decorations then he saw other things a DVD reproducer he grabbed his screwdriver and started to work
Sonic isn't long in the bath. He knows Tails needs supervision. He cleans himself and the bathroom, then comes out. When he sees the DVD player in pieces he gets angry. "Tails! Can't I leave you alone for 10 minutes?!"
Tails jumped at sonic tone of voice he knew that he was in trouble but he didn't know why "But Sonic why did I do” he say in an innocent tone not knowing how mad sonic was
"That wasn't your machine Tails, it belongs to the owner of the hotel. You promised me you would stop 'borrowing' things."
"But sonic you didn't say that I couldn't use my screwdriver and I can put it back see " Tails started to repair it but something has to be said tails haven't show sonic all of his capabilities so even now sonic could not believe him
"No Tails!" Sonic says firmly and angrily. Why doesn't this cub get it? "It doesn't matter if you can put it back or not, the owner didn't give you permission to do that. Come here!" He almost shouts.
He promised next time Tails broke his word he would punish him. It would do the boy a disservice to let him develop the habit of lying. This is for his own good. Sonic is resolved.
"But Sonic I didn't mean" then the shout is heard, Tails stopped and walked to sonic putting his best *I'm sorry* face
He stayed quiet as sonic put him on his lap
Sonic grips Tail's tails near their base, lifting them up and out of the way. He puts a little weight on that arm, pinning Tails in place for what is about to happen. He takes the hairbrush in his paw.
"I'm very disappointed Tails." Sonic says paternally, knowing that is what the fox needs right now. "This is for your own good... To help you learn not to lie or steal... I want you to understand that."
He raises the brush and brings it down on the vulnerable globes beneath him; hard.
When sonic say I'm disappointed tails feel even guiltier and when the spank landed he immediately say "oww I'm sorry!!”He had never feel such pain before the guilt didn't help every time he was spanked tails apologized again being more hard to understand because his own crying
Sonic gives him ten spanks, just as he promised. Tails' 'sorry's not moving him this time. He sets the cub on his feet when the spanking is done, but the punishment isn't over. Not yet.
"Come on Tails." Sonic says as he takes the crying boy's paw. "You're going to go apologize to Mr. Pig for breaking his equipment."
He leads Tails out into the corridor, seeming not to care who might be there, or who might see that he's been well punished for his naughtiness.
"Hello Mr. Pig." Sonic says as they approach the front desk.
Tails cried all the way but that didn't stop him from covering his spanked butt with his tails
"A Mr. Hedgehog I see you found an use for our hairbrush " he said looking at the cub as he whipped his tears with his other pawn
"Yeah, looks like I needed it after all." Sonic admits. "I think I'd like to see your selection for sale, since it turns out I might be needing one of my own and this was such a good model." His words are mostly a show, for Tails' benefit. To let him know that Sonic will discipline him again if he has to.
Tails was scared by Sonics words but other thing was on his mind will be sonic still be his friend if he was bad after all sonic fought bad people, was he his enemy now?
"Then I would recommend this he grabbed a box under his desk” this one is made of black oak and it doesn't wear off with quilts I think it would be perfect for you, anything else!"
Sonic picks up the paddle and gives it a few practice swings. It whistles menacingly as it cuts through the air.
"Yes, I think this is just the thing for returning naughty boys to the right path..." Sonic appreciates the weight as he looks over at his young charge. "By the way, Tails has something he wants to say to you, Mr. Pig."
There will be 20 rings from that hairbrush" he say " how interesting what would it be"
Tails looked at sonic then at Mr. pig then down "I'm sorry for disarming your dvd player " he say like he wasn't wanted to be heard at all
But Mr. pig hear him anyway and say " that was a naughty thing to do I'm glad that someone got you back in place " he wrote something that say "don't worry mister sonic we were going to replace it tomorrow”
Sonic hands over the payment. "Is there anything else we can do to make it up to you Mr. Pig?" Sonic asks while nodding subtly to show he's seen the message.
"It's not necessarily the only thing I could think is that you eat in our restaurant instead of outside”
At the word food tails stomach growled again
Sonic nods and takes Tails' paw again. "Thank you Mr. Pig, we will."
He says, leading Miles through into the restaurant, paddle still in hand. He guides Tails through the crowd to an empty table. Everyone on the way sees the recently spanked cub and the paddle in Sonic's hand, putting two and two together.
"Can you sit Tails?" Sonic checks when they reach the table.
Tails didn't respond instead he took seat with his tails covering his behind it wasn't the most comfortable position but it did the trick
Tails wasn't talking to sonic not because he was mad it was because he was worried about his friendship was sonic still his friend? He asked himself
But unfortunately for tails this attracted the attention of someone, Oscar the pig he made his way to the table and say "finally someone had made justice "
Tails recognized the voice immediately his ears when flat and he felt litter that he really was
One of the things that Tails didn't told to sonic was that Oscar was a pig
"Excuse me?" Sonic isn't too surprised at strangers approaching him. He is the famous Sonic the Hedgehog, but this little kid seems more interested in commenting on Tails' punishment and he's shocked at his presumption. "Who are you?"
"Don't worry sonic after I deal with this freak and you will be free from him " at the word freak tails got even smaller " be thankful that you didn't end in the jail this time but I don't think that you have been punished enough " after saying this he pushed tails chair
Tails now on the floor didn't cry or anything he was used to this situation he needed to stay still and not show any emotion until Oscar got bored
Sonic on the other hand is---along with most of the other patrons of the Restaurant---shocked by this vile little hooligan.
Sonic got up at Oscar. "Kid where are your parents?" He demands in an angry tone.
"Why do you want to know and don't worry about that thing he doesn't deserve it " Oscar responded to Sonic he wasn't intimidated by his angry tone most people yelled at him but did nothing after that
Tails instead was totally quiet his eyes almost lifeless showing the big barrier he made to protect himself but like most of the barriers inside of him he was destroyed he had been humiliated in front of Sonic after the spanking and after this he will surely will be replaced by Oscar the coolest kid of the city
"I want to know because you just hurt a friend of mine. Now.. Where.. Are.. Your.. Parents?!" Sonic's tone becomes dangerous. There is little you can do to upset him more than to hurt someone he cares about.
Tails definitely heard that sonic still was his friend he was so glad he slowly started to cry as someone help him to stand up
"You friend with him " Oscar was so shocked by that words but when he couldn't intimidate his way he used the force he tried to punch sonic in the face
Sonic just takes the punch on the chin. The kid is nothing compared to him. He doesn't even blink he just looks at Oscar.
Then he picks him in one swift movement and throws him over his lap. He starts to paddle the little bully, not stopping until his pink behind is bright red and the boy is broken and sobbing. "Someone should have done that to you a long time ago." He says.
Oscar had never being more scared on his life that look he didn't have time to think "what I had done" as sonic started to paddle him
Tails smiled as Oscar what punished he didn't noticed that the person who help him was Mr. pig he wanted to see sonic reaction to the kitchen and found this scene
After all the pain Oscar leaved running he had never been so humiliated in his life, but he managed to scream "fuck you Tails and fuck you Sonic " before leaving. If it wasn't for sonic tails would be really scared.
As sonic turned back Mr. Pig say “don’t worry I will personally tell to his parents what he had done
"Thanks again Mr. Pig. It's a shame that boy's parents obviously didn't care enough to do that for him. Some kids really ache for discipline." Sonic says, still unaware who the little brat was. He assumes the Hotel owner is just a family friend. He looks at the paddle thoughtfully. "It's funny... Tails' paddles' first use wasn't on Tails."
Tails suddenly hugged Sonic and started to cry his eyes out "Sonic I was scared you would replace me I'm so glad" then after that what tails said wasn't understandable
"If you want I can let your dinner go to your room you clearly need some time alone " Mr. Pig signed
Sonic hugs his little buddy. "Replace you? Never!" He turns to the owner. "That would be great, thanks. I think Tails has had a little too much excitement today."
He carries Tails back to their room, cuddling him all the way.
Tails was cried all the way he wrapped his tails around sonic body and didn't let him go not even when they were in their room sonic could understand some words between tails cry’s "thank, Love you, Oscar, scary, glad, leave,"
Sonic doesn't resist the cub's tight hugs. He just sits down in a comfortable seat and hugs back. Whispering soothing words into his ear as he rubs the boy's fur. "...it's going to be okay... ...I'll protect you... ...you can relax now... ...it's safe Tails, completely safe
After Tails calm down a little because he didn't let Sonic go he asked "Sonic even if I'm bad... You are still my friend “he asked clearly needing an answer
"You're not bad Tails... sometimes you're naughty... and sometimes you need help to get back on the right path... but nothing will ever make you not my friend." He reassures the cub.
Tails face was the expression of happiness "sonic you are my best friend " tails told him immediately blushing surely sonic will have more friends than him he was being egotistical about this
He chuckles at the innocent and eager kid. "You're my best bud too Tails..." He says ruffling the boy's head fur.
Just then there's a knock at the door. Sonic goes to open it. It's their food.
It consistent in chicken vegetables rice all covered in a sauce that smelled delicious.
When sonic give his plate to tails he started eating not caring about manners and other things after all he ate nothing after breakfast
Sonic thinks back on all that's happened as he watches the little cub gorge himself. How long has it been since he had steady meals? His temperament seems to have improved since his punishment. Sonic always believed in disciplining wayward cubs, but he never realized how beneficial taking a firm hand could be to a boy.
Then was the thing that sonic couldn't see after the events of the kitchen Tails feel like a big weight was pulled off his back he had never feel protected he had never eat so much in so little time always had to find his own food paying attention for a suddenly attack his only consolation was a teddy bear and a sheet.
Some of his food actually was on his face on his try to get it the faster way possible in his tummy
"Okay Tails... let’s get you cleaned up again." Sonic says when the cub's done eating. He leads him back into the bathroom and over to the sink which he starts running. Then he takes a facecloth, dampens it and uses it to clean off the mess Tails made so he won’t stain the bedsheets.
Tails blushed at sonic cleaning him but he didn't protest and he let sonic do it
After that tails saw another thing that caught his attention the remote control of the TV but this time he asked “Sonic was this thing do "
"It's a TV, it shows you things." Sonic says switching it on to demonstrate. "Do you want to watch some cartoons before bedtime, Tails?" He asks turning to a cartoon channel.
Tails was completely impressed with the TV but when Sonic asked he say "Huh? What is a cartoon Sonic?" Asked Tails doubt expressed in his blue eyes.
His doubts didn't last after a while he was laughing his head off at the cat who tried to catch the mouse
Sonic hugs Tails as they watch. Holding him in his lap as he sits on the bed.
"That cat really is silly sonic obviously he couldn't catch that mouse if he hides in the chicken” he say just before Tom awake the chicken and attacked Tom. Tails started to laugh again this was so new for him
"He is." Sonic agrees with a laugh. They watch the rest of the episode and one more, before Sonic decides it is bedtime. He takes the remote and turns off the TV. "Okay Tails time for bed. Which one do you want?"
"But sonic I want to see more “say Tails trying to get the remote back "and I can really sleep in a bed!?" Asked a exited Tails
Sonic plays keep-away with the remote. Having an unfair advantage with his height and super speed. "Uh huh... pick one, but you gotta go to bed now it's late for little cubs like you." He says as he puts the remote on a high shelf.
Tails say " I want hum that one " he signaled the left one both of the covered with perfect white sheet's whit brow details then he saw that sonic was distracted and flied to the shelf and putting the remote on his back
"Okay... well go brush your teeth and use the toilet then come back here and it's under the covers with you." Sonic says, not noticing Tails' naughtiness.
"Brush my teeth how I do that Sonic” asked Tails hiding the remote on his tails with socks
He also had picked that up but he didn't tell sonic because he was afraid of him making him going back to let it in his hole
"Come on I'll show you." Sonic leads Tails into the bathroom and he demonstrates how to brush your teeth by doing it himself. "Now you try Tails." Sonic says as he rises and spits. There's a fresh toothbrush for Tails in the cup by the sink.
Sonic pulls back the covers to Tails' chosen bed. "Okay little buddy, in you get."
Tails got inside the bed as sonic tucked him in he really wanted to see TV but the best will be to wait for sonic to be asleep he closed his eyes immediately and say " Sonic I'm sleeping "
"Uh huh? Is that so?" Sonic chuckles at the poor deception, but he doesn't think it means anything. "Just remember you promised not to lie to me anymore."
Sonic goes to turn out the room's light, then he gets into his own bed.
That got Tails thinking for a while after all he didn't lie at sonic he only didn't tell sonic that he took the remote or that he carried sock there bur if sonic considered that a lie he would be in trouble he counted to one hundred and asked to sock " what I'm gonna do sock then he hid it again”
Sonic lays in the darkness. It's a little early for him to go to sleep, but they will be starting off early tomorrow to find Eggman so they need the rest. In the meantime Sonic sets a good example for Tails by pretending to sleep himself and listening out for any trouble.
Then Tails got decided seeing that sonic was "asleep" he got up and leaved the remote on the shelf as fast as he could getting in bed almost immediately
Sonic watches him silently. Smiling as he sees the cub choosing to be honest when faced with a choice for the first time. Well done Tails, he thinks.
Then Tails started to fall asleep until midnight
when someone knocked the door
