On the very near brink of death, Ax turned his head slowly to the malicious wolf and uttered out one last word.
"Why...?" Lunar flashed a horrific grin, revealing her teeth painted in red fluid and cackled sadistically.
"HA! You think I really cared about you?! No, that was just a way of getting you to trust me so you would be more of an easy target! I know that you are just another pathetic excuse of a living thing, and you left your parents to die! That proves how much of a coward you are! Do you hear me?! A FUCKING COWARD!!"
Lunar laughed maniacally at the pathetic agony as Ax's response remained silent as the very last essence of life drained away and...
he was gone...

The black wolf shot upward, hyperventilating and sweating profusely. She scanned the area around her to find the cadaver of Ax nowhere, instead she found her own room in a nightly view, the light coming from the moon outside her window providing a very dim light source. Lunar modified her breathing to an appropriate pace when she realised what she had just witnessed...
Nightmare...
Tears began to trail down the poor wolf's face as the grotesque images came flashing back to her, of her punching into Ax's chest, of her tearing out most of his organs and of her biting down hard onto the beldum's heart, causing blood to spray everywhere in her proximity.
The images were enough to make Lunar break out into small quiet sobs, encouraging her to grab a pillow behind her and cradle it tightly for comfort as she allowed the continuing tears to fall.

Ax stirred in his sleep to the faint sound of knocking of the door to his guest room which Heiro had given him with the other room to Lunar after they both crashed into his abode for the night. He turned his head away from the door to blur it out but to no effect.
The knocks began to increase in intensity until the beldum finally caved and sluggishly rose, he retreated from the bed and trudged over to the door and slowly pulled it open to find his lover with an expression of a mix of tearful and fear which suddenly woke him to his senses.
"L-Lunar, what's wro--?" Ax was about to ask when the wolf unexpectedly lunged at him and wrapped both her arms around him very tightly.
"I-I-I don't ever want to lose you..." Lunar whimpered, seemingly about to cry again.
Ax's singular brow furrowed with sympathy as he returned the gesture and rubbed her back.
"Lunar?" The beldum inquired.
"Y-Yes?" Lunar replied, shivering.
Half of Ax's response was to lead Lunar to his bed and sit her down with him, then he brought a hand to her cheek and stroked it.
"Maybe you should sleep with me tonight."
Lunar felt a little warm inside from the upmost concern that Ax was giving her and obliged by getting into the covers and cuddling with Ax once he was in with her.
"I'd be glad to Ax, if it would make you feel better."
"Yes, I think it would, Lunar..."
