When Knife was born, Blade loathed the idea of having a brother, fearing that his presence would overshadow his accomplishments and ultimately diminish his chances of becoming the shogun of Kitakami. Blade would bully infant Knife out of spite, wishing he had never been born. However, as the years passed, Blade's mistreatment only made Knife more affectionate toward his older brother, often looking up to him as a hero. Blade soon softened, learning how precious having a sibling is, and did everything in his power to protect his younger brother, even going out of his way to strike down anyone who tried to harm him.
In contrast to Knife's shy and reserved nature, Blade is direct and short-tempered. Some might call him a tsundere, but Blade is also known for being quite flirtatious, with a provocative sense of humor at times. Since Rachel the Angel is his brother's girlfriend, he has gone ahead and considered himself her brother-in-law. \n\t\t\t\t\t
