Lady Everest Garmr Grieves was always looking for new business opportunities and bring more money into her kingdom. She had found the perfect island to build a vacation resort, said to be vast and lush. Weeks were spent making plans with contractors and sending surveyors to assess the island. But the latest report was concerning, this island inhabited by simple kobolds was suffering from a severe drought. And the kobolds were rioting against the men Lady Grieves had sent there. And so Lady Grieves decided she would need to settle the matter by herself. Preferring to go alone, she stepped off of the starship and onto the shore, she could tell that the sand beneath her four feet felt unusually dry, even for sand. The starship flew off as the stocky, blue-furred husky walked across the beach into what used to be a jungle, except now everything had dried up. The palm trees were brown, and what ferns there were left were shriveled up. Not a drop of water hung in the hot air, the island was practically a desert. As Lady Grieves walked on, there were signs life. Eventually she saw mud huts, small, but big enough for kobolds. The kobold village was the last green place on the whole island. A few three-foot tall lizards popped out from one of the huts, pointing fishing spears at the husky who stood two feet taller than them. "Not welcome!" One kobold said. "Where are my men?" Lady Grieves wasn't intimidated by these weak lizards, she knew her magic could freeze them solid before they took a step towards her. "We not tell dog." Another kobold said in typically broken english for their species. Though as merely lesser spirits, it's a feat that kobolds could speak at all. "I am Lady Everest Garmr Grieves, daughter of Eris and queen of Calferros, and you will tell me what happened to my men." The husky spoke coldly, her temper slowly rising. The kobolds just stood there. They could sense that Lady Grieves wasn't an ordinary dog, but they didn't know just how extraordinary she was. Lady Grieves' eyes flashed and suddenly the kobolds were chilled to the bone, dropping their spears. What little humidity there was, turned to frost on the lizards' smooth scales. The flash freezing spell extended to everything in her vision, freezing a fancy looking hut across the way. Another kobold emerged from this hut, one dressed in feathers and leaves, he was clearly the chief. "Grieves dog is strong." The chief said. "Must not anger her." "Explain, what happened to my men?" Lady Grieves asked once more. "I sent guards along with surveyors. Calferros trains the toughest soldiers, I can't believe a bunch of kobolds would be a nuisance to them." "Men were here. They anger harvest goddess, fought and kill goddess. Now drought drains island. Goddess curse angry men, life delays drought." The chief said. "Kobolds not strong, cannot restore goddess." "So they're dead... Idiots." Lady Grieves said that last word under her breath. "This will be a wasted effort if the island dies with them." "Giant dog strong enough, can help restore island." The chief said. "Become new harvest goddess for kobolds." Lady Grieves thought about it. She had already paid the contractors to start working, but building a resort at the moment would be stupid. No-one would choose to vacation in a desert. She was sure that researchers back in her kingdom could come up with a solution if given time, but there were only a few months before the contractors arrived. "Refer to me as milady, not dog. And I will aid you in restoring this bountiful island." Lady Grieves said. The chief led Lady Grieves to a side road out of the village, deeper into the green. Here there were plenty of plants offering shade and sustenance, and kobolds were climbing trees to get at the fruit in the canopy. Then they came upon a large clearing, in the center were a ring of stones surrounding a large space of moss covered ground. The chief motioned for Everest to sit on the moss. A few kobolds had followed them and they brought clay cups filled with red paint. "We begin ritual. Soul of island will pass into milady." The chief dipped his fingers into the paint and begun drawing symbols onto Everest's forehead and along her sides. The other 'bolds painted symbols into the stones that encircled the blue husky. When the chief was finished, he stepped back out of the ring. The village had gathered all around her by now, and they all placed their hands onto the ground, closing their eyes. The chief chanted an incantation, honestly a rare and old form of magic these days, and the stones begun to glow. Lady Grieves could feel the symbols on her resonate with the stones, and a low humming sounded in her mind. As the ritual continued the hum got louder, sounding almost melodic but so hard to grasp any words. The voice was without form, or identity. It sang of the island, or it was the island itself. Everest could feel a sense of power from the voice, filling her body, for a moment the energy felt wild and then it quieted down. The ritual was over, and the symbols had vanished from the stones. "Island has new goddess!" The chief said. The kobolds all cheered. "So now, what's next?" Lady Grieves cocked her head to the side. Her belly growled in response and she was struck with a sudden hunger. The kobolds heard this, and the chief ordered them to bring their new goddess whatever food they had. Lady Grieves felt a little bad taking their food, but her hunger was fierce. She needed to eat. She feasted on bananas, berries, and fish. It didn't take long to eat it all, there wasn't much to begin with. Everest panted briefly as the hunger pang faded. "What was that about?" "Milady needs food to nourish island. Hunger natural." The chief said. "Need only eat, and island flourishes." The chief was in a clearly good mood now, and his kobolds seemed to have relaxed considerably as they cleaned up banana peels. Everest yawned as exhaustion came over her next. The ritual must've worn her out, and she laid down to sleep despite it being in the early afternoon. *** Lady Everest Grieves woke up the next morning to a group of female kobolds offering baskets of fruit and berries. One whiff and her appetite returned, gratefully allowing the kobolds to feed her bananas, apples, and wild-berries. About an hour after finishing that, the kobold servants returned with baskets of fish for the husky. Once again her stomach rumbled hungrily at the sight of food, and she ate everything brought to her. Everest's days were filled with meals like these, and occasionally stretching her legs walking through the village. The meals were never enough to satisfy her, and she was sure the kobolds could hear her stomach growling. A few 'bolds offered her their own food, but she turned them down. A few scraps like that wasn't going to make a dent in her appetite anyway. After a week of this, she could swear that the greenery was spreading through the village. It was surprising that there was always some fruit or veggies available for her meals, maybe this harvest goddess thing was really working. The meals through the next week seemed to be getting larger too, but still not enough food to satisfy. It finally began to rain the following week, and the dry air was cooled by the refreshing rain. The kobolds rejoiced in the village, splashing in puddles and dancing around the once dry well. Everest was proud. The kobolds fed her nearly double the fruit and fish she was used to eating, and her belly was comfortably full by the end of each day. In a few weeks, Everest was beginning to look a little chubbier. She noticed the layer of pudge forming around her waist and a softness in her legs. She started taking to walking further from the village, for exercise but also to survey and plan out her resort. Two kobolds always insisted they accompany her, carrying food to feed Everest whenever the husky's stomach made any noise. Everest only minded them slightly, her arguments to be left alone were ignored. At least she was never hungry on her hikes. Everest was able to observe how the island was coming back alive, the dry browns yielding to the green further every day. Two months into her role as the harvest goddess, and Everest's offering were getting larger still. She awoke every day to a hunger she had grown accustomed to, and it was quickly filled by baskets on baskets of fruits and fish, nuts and berries. As the island recovered, her diet became more varied. Everest spent nearly the entire morning eating her fill. Then she spent the afternoons hiking or visiting the villagers. The villagers offered her food as always, but as it was no longer scraps, Lady Grieves accepted. The 'bolds acted so honored to be feeding their goddess, and in turn she gave them permission to pet her. And many kobolds in the village had taken to petting her growing form as she walked by. Everest was steadily packing on the pounds, her tall and stocky frame becoming softer each day. Her round belly hung down to her knees, swinging side-to-side as she moved. Her paws and legs all plumped up, with her hind legs merging with a bulbous ass that jiggled constantly. Her stern face was made less intimidating by her double chin and chipmunk cheeks. A neck roll pushed into her burgeoning back flab, and that weighed down on her spine along with her belly. Everest was really settling into her role as the new harvest goddess of Kobold Island. Just as she was beginning to get too heavy to hike far, the husky noticed she had begun to grow a taller. When once the kobolds' height came up to her chin, they now only came halfway up to her chest. The growth spurt was a little uncomfortable as her frame adjusted, and it spurred her appetite to fuel her growth. Everest needed to spend more time eating and less on hiking. Which wasn't a problem for the obese husky, Everest was quite enjoying the pampering admiration of her followers. She was even starting to adore the little lizards. Occasionally Everest's legs would itch, and it persisted more each day. So Everest assigned a kobold girl to scratch it regularly. Then her tail would itch and ache too, which was odd. One day the kobold found Lady Grieves' fur was falling out where she had been scratching, and in it's place were smooth white scales. While the kobold attendant was pleased, this surprised Everest. She wondered if that was why her tail ached. Everest tried to bend backwards to see, but her belly restricted such movements, and her butt was blocking the view of her tail. Asking the kobold to check, and she reported that Lady Grieves' tail was now serpentine with blue fur on top and white scales on the bottom. Everest needed to know what was happening to her. She waddled down the path and to the chief's hut. The chief was sitting outside his hut relaxing in the shade of the afternoon sun. "Chief! I need to talk to you." Everest said. "Look at my legs, what's going on?" "Island spirit strong in milady. Becoming dragon!" the chief raised his arms excitedly. Seeing that their goddess was confused he raised his voice so the whole village could hear him. "Goddess need more offerings! Kobolds hunt game!" Everest turned around to see some male kobolds move about, grabbing spears and heading into the jungle. Her mouth drooled at the thought of getting to eat something new. She swallowed and turned back to the chief. "I approve of this. Kobolds should hunt for me and bring me the juiciest of game." The chief nodded and Everest plodded back to the ritual grove to await her meal. It wasn't until nightfall, but the wait was worth it. The feast was huge, kobolds gathered around the grove to cook and celebrate the start of the goddess' transformation into a dragon. They played music with drums and flutes, and danced merrily. Everest laid on her belly and opened her mouth to accept offerings of thick cuts of pork dripping with grease, washed down with spoonfuls of stew. Throughout the night, kobolds lined up to offer her the usual assorted fruit and fish, which the husky-dragon to-be accepted with gratitude. Everyone feasted well into the night, and Everest was absolutely stuffed by the time she fell asleep. *** Lady Grieves' transformation continued in the following weeks with shiny scales replacing the all the fur on her legs and her belly. Eventually all the white fur on her body turned to scales, even on her fatty face which was still dog-like in shape. As the itching calmed down, Everest kept the attendant around to give her belly rubs. It felt strange when the kobold rubbed Everest's smooth, squishy belly. The belly rubs happened at the end of every meal, with Everest laying on her side and the rubbing helping with digestion. The draconic husky would often nod off, to be woken up by more kobolds bringing her next meal, which would be devoured eagerly. Occasionally she would get overzealous and the kobolds had to hop away or get their arms bitten. The chief informed Lady Grieves that her transformation had reached its end as the husky towered over the him. Everest had grown to nearly twice her original height, standing now at 7 feet tall compared to the kobolds' 3 feet. At this point when the island had mostly been restored, the chief asked if Lady Grieves would want them to leave her to herself. The same arrangement the previous goddess had. Or they would be pleased to continue bringing daily offerings. Lady Grieves had grown accustomed to this lifestyle, and though she knew she couldn't stay forever, she didn't want it to stop. "You will keep bringing me food. Your goddess demands it." The chief bowed and headed back. A few days later, Everest gets a call from the contractors for the vacation resort. Honestly, the resort nearly slipped her mind. The contractors were scheduled to arrive on the island within the week. In preparation, Everest had the kobolds relocate their settlement to the jungle around the ritual grove. The head foreman, a fox biped, was stunned when Lady Grieves waddled into the empty village. He had spoken to her nearly a year ago back when she was shorter, thinner, and furrier. Everest plopped her fat ass down with a thud, her legs spread out a bit to accommodate her belly. Not feeling like explaining, the two moved to discussing the plans for the island. They were to begin construction around the village, and a large portion of the jungle was made off limits to the building crews. The next day work began. Trees were chopped down and a path was made for construction vehicles to enter the old kobold village. The huts were easily leveled, and the workers set up a camp near the beach. The kobolds were saddened to see their home invaded by these men, but their goddess assured them that it would bring them new prosperity. So the kobolds didn't argue much, believing in their harvest goddess and building a new village around the grove. The 'bolds continued with the offerings even as their island was slowly transforming. At 7 feet tall Everest's stomach was difficult to fill, so she had the kobolds feeding her and rubbing her enormous form for half a day. Then she would either nap until dinnertime or waddle around the construction yard, monitoring the progress. Any slacking workers would quickly get to work on something when they heard the goddess stomping towards them. After brunch, Everest was noticing something about the kobolds. They looked plumper. She felt anger rise up as she thought about it. Was she going hungry every day while her followers were gorging themselves in secret? She was the goddess, she was the island. For all intents and purposes, that food was hers. She contemplated this until she was furious. When dinnertime came, Lady Grieves took a close look at the kobolds. The food they carried looked plumper too, even the fruit had grown. She dismissed the idea that the island's changes were at fault. She only cared about getting her fill. Everest raised a giant chubby paw, and poked the chubbiest kobolds with a claw. "You've been stealing from my offerings!" The kobold shook her head and took a step back, holding up her bowl overfilled with fruit. Everest growled. "You haven't been feeding me enough ever since I moved you into the jungle. You want your old tattered village back?" The kobold shook her head again. "Kobolds not steal." "Then explain how you've gotten so FAT!" Everest's stomach joined in with a loud growl, she was starving and getting angry was only making her hungrier. The kobold looked so juicy, and Everest began drooling. Everest was herself a half-demon, and being the half-demon daughter of Eris granted her a special 'quirk'. Her quirk allowed her bend emotions any-which-way when her target smelled her. "I don't care for excuses, you will feed me one way or another..." Everest activated her quirk, which within seconds caused all the kobolds to drop their bowls and baskets. They stood in a daze, looking up at Everest but their eyes couldn't focus. The husky scooped up the chubby one in her mouth, letting her muzzle fill with drool before gulping her down with ease. Then deactivating her magic the remaining kobolds came to, barely understanding what just happened, and picked up what they dropped. Everest settled down, feeling a little satisfied that she had both punished the thief and gotten more to eat. "Now, your goddess demands that any kobold who becomes overweight will be eaten to compensate for the food they took from me." Everest said. "Now on with my offerings." She lazily motioned for them to approach, and they carefully fed and caressed her as she ate. As she wished, Everest was offered more food from then on, and she grew plumper than ever as the 'bolds stuffed her fat face. Her legs grew to the size of tree trunks with her belly hanging well past her knees. She had to purposefully sway her belly to avoid too much of it bumping into her knees and hampering her movement. Her thighs swelled with an ass that hung over, and bulged beyond, her heels. This turned her waddle into more of a slow shuffle as she had to lift her butt-cheeks with every step. The walk to the construction site took longer every day, becoming a sweaty chore that left her panting. Her back flab was in thick layers, and her neck was forming into two rolls that limited her head to viewing only what was in front of her. Everest knew all the workers were weary of her. Was it because of her enormous size, or maybe it was the heavy musk coming off of her sweaty body? Maybe it was something else. No-one wanted to say anything as their employer pawed at their equipment, asking that they use the excavator arm to scratch her head, the stubs of horns poking through. No-one dared complain when she chewed on and broke the equipment, her fangs were clearly bothering her as they grew longer. Everest soon realized that every time she vored a kobold her head would ache the next day. But they kept getting fatter, and she had to punish them for their treachery. Fat kobolds couldn't forage or hunt for her after all, and they were so good to eat. As she continued with this unplanned second transformation, Everest felt fiercer, being a dragon goddess suited her tremendously. Her muzzle lengthened and her claws grew large. As the weeks passed she grew taller too, 8 feet became 9, 10 feet. By the time she was 10 feet tall, beautiful lilac horns had grown in curving backwards above her head. Her scaly muzzle was closer to a dragon's aside from keeping her dog's nose, and large showy fangs grew in to give her a wild and intimidating appearance. Her weight gain had slowed, the energy going to her increasing height, but she was becoming too wide for the jungle path towards the resort's plaza. Her wide, clumsy ass bumped into and eventually knocked down the trees. 12 feet tall, Everest felt so powerful, even as she left puddles of sweat in her wake, sweat streaming along her sides turning the dirt path to mud under her paws. Her musk filled the air across the entire island whenever the wind blew, and though she could smell it Everest wasn't aware of the effects her unchecked quirk was causing. The workers had a hose ready for Everest to drink water from once she got there, and they had run another hose into the grove. The hose was comically tiny in her mouth as she let the cold water flow into her throat for several minutes. Once the giant had a quick look around the nearly finished plaza, she headed back to rest in her grove. *** The day came when the resort was nearly finished. The paths had been paved in intricate tiles, the hotel was being built with a large swimming area made ta look like part of the jungle, and a giant statue of Lady Grieves was placed in the plaza. After weeks of resting and feasting in her grove, Everest heaved her draconic bulk across the ground to see it for herself. The statue was a masterpiece, made of shining silver, and the goddess's eyes were gems of sapphire. The sculptor had carved her perfectly, though it was her from before the transformation. A strong and regal husky, nothing like the bloated, sweaty, and panting husky-dragon that towered above the plaza now. Everest barely recognized the statue as her, and had half a mind to smash it and order a new one made. But she left it alone and looked around. All the workers could be seen eating huge fruit from the jungle, and they were looking plump with many bursting from or outright missing their uniforms. She lazily marched towards some workers lounging on a bench. The stomping of her fat paws and meaty legs made the ground shake and the men dropped their fruit and cowered. Thankfully the foreman ran up in between the men and the giant to intervene. Putting his paws up in the air, the fox spoke quickly. "Wait Lady Grieves! Let me explain." Even the fox standing there was fat and sloppily dressed, his uniform missing and his shirt riding up his round belly. "Explain? You better have a good explanation why everyone I hired is stuffing themselves to bursting instead of building MY resort!" Everest punctuated this by huffing out a cloud of frozen air from her nose and a growl from her belly. "Y-you're partially to blame," the foreman said this and was greeted by a growl from Everest. "We heard about your quirk from the kobold chief, and it's making everyone feel as hungry as you are. And you're always hungry. We quickly burn through our supply shipments, and paired with the unusual fruit that grows here, this happens." Everest sat down on her ass and tried to calm herself. She didn't use to be this quick to anger. She glanced back at the statue, or tried to glance back but her saggy neck wouldn't bend that far. "What do you mean 'unusual fruit'?" The foreman pointed at the fruit that was growing everywhere. "The fruit from the island isn't normal. It's bigger and sweeter than any other fruit we've ever tasted. And in spite of it being so fattening, we're always craving more." Everest tried to think, maybe this was an opportunity. Her stomach growled more and more, and she was getting too antsy to think straight. She was realizing just how much she's changed since coming to this island. The old her would've been able to easily figure out how to profit from the circumstances, but currently she needed to be fed as soon as possible. "You all stop what you're doing and get me something to eat." Everest told the plaza workers. "Bring it to the ritual grove." She heaved herself to her feet and began the trek back. She'd be able to think of a plan there. Everest laid on her side, airing out the underside of her belly that had been smooshed against the ground for so long and waited for a team of construction workers to bring her fruits and veggies from their side of the jungle. Their weren't many kobolds left to serve her these days, having eaten most of them. Once the foraging team arrived, Everest stayed on her side so they could reach to put food in her mouth. Her menacing growl stopped anyone who was tempted to eat anything for themselves. Once her belly finally began to feel comfortable, Everest got back to planning for the resort's grand opening. She needed more servants to forage and care for her, at her size she would destroy half the jungle looking for her own food. Really, the only things that mattered were that the resort brought her kingdom a lot of money and that she was kept well fed. Oh, and to avoid corrupting her staff. Her serpentine tail thumped the ground as a plan formed in her mind. *** The grand opening of the Goddess Resort was a big success, hundreds of vacationers arrived that first weekend. They enjoyed themselves in the many activities including jungle tours, and stories about the mysterious island goddess. The guests might've wondered why the staff all wore wolf masks, but seeing the plaza's statue of the supposed goddess and everyone assumed the masks were part of the goddess theme. The food court was especially popular with the guests, with some saying that something about the almost mushroomy flowery scent of the island air made them feel hungrier. All the food was made of fruits, veggies, fish, and meat from around the island. Many guests left that week unaware of the few pounds they had gained overnight, leaving reviews praising the island cuisine. Every week the resort held eating competitions in the food court, the prize being a meeting with the island goddess herself. The contests lasted three hours, during which the competitors ate more than they thought possible. Over the course of three days they would continue to compete, stuffing themselves to near bursting. Anyone who could place in the top three by the end would be escorted to the ritual grove. Anyone who competed noticed significant weight gain, but the winners were always huge hogs lumbering across the plaza as they were escorted to the grove. And Lady Everest Grieves was there waiting patiently for them. The panting and huffing guests stared wide eyed when they saw the husky-dragon in all her obese and smelly glory. The goddess was huge, her belly taking up a large portion of the grove and rendering her fat ass immobile. She smiled though with fangs like hers it was less friendly and more frightening. "I'm pleased you have been enjoying my resort," Everest said. "I can tell you enjoy our food as much as I do. Why not take a seat and enjoy some more." Everest carefully lifted a tremendously heavy foreleg and held a fat talon over her tired guests and let her sweat drip all over them. The guests' bellies responded with overwhelming hunger pangs, and Everest's staff attendants immediately begun stuffing them with fruit. The guests couldn't help themselves and accepted the stuffings. Eventually they noticed that to one side of the goddess was one of the previous winners. Bloated so far beyond normal size they barely looked like a person anymore. The goddess drooled and her belly grumbled as she watched her guests being fattened up. The guests slowly realized what was about to happen, but were too hungry and already too fat to change the course of events. The bloated guest was already in a daze or food coma when the goddess couldn't wait any longer. She conjured up a large talon of ice to lift them up and carry them to her gaping maw. Her tongue lolled out, as she dumped her sweaty prey in. She toyed and felt around them with her tongue, licking at all their salty sweaty folds, before swallowing them at last. The guest felt satisfyingly heavy in her enormous gut. The resort was a huge success. Everest licked her lips, in a few days her newest arrivals would be plump and ready to eat.
