Their parents have to assume constant responsibility for the boys, even when one set of parents are out of town, leaving them standing side by side for yet another session of even stricter discipline.\n\nBoth cubs angry at the other, they have been sent into the fenced in backyard bare to fetch their own switches - an act of butterfly-stirring obedience that no boy would dare wish upon another. Forced to choose and prepare their own tree branch to be used beneath their tails, it was a punishment in itself, and extremely traditional and ritualistic to boot. Like many a boy before them, they stood beneath the fluttering leaves and branches of a family tree, plucking twings from a stick with watery eyes and an upset scowl. Doing this together, gave the cubs time to quickly but quietly squabble; sniping at each other, as to \"who's fault\" this was. Not mature enough to grasp that their actions were a team effort, -surely- it was the other who was to blame, as they resented the impending thrashing they were ever so sad to recieve.
