Not all started out with great beginnings, and Ixen here was unfortunately not spared a harsh start when it came to his chosen profession...but for those curious...<br /><br />---</span>",
"writing": "These events take place when Ixen was 20 years old, about 8 years before meeting Yori\n\nDays after graduation commenced, as the month of Frostmoon ticked by, the graduation ceremony in Odarriya had finished up. Ixen eagerly looked at his official license to use offensive magic freely after participating in an end of year tournament to graduate. While he did not win, losing in round two of the competition, he still performed adequately enough to be allowed to take on the world, as an official graduate of the most expensive school in all of Edarel. \n\nAcross from him was a female kethana, small and sitting on a chair as the two drank tea from a pair of cups, the glasswear floating in front of them via magic while the table itself had no legs, but likewise levitated in the air, with a gemstone underneath it. The female squirrel creature wore a school robe, and had a strand of beads around her tiny arm. a small gemstone adorning her head, with a large one at the end of her tail. \n\n\"So what now for you? I have more schooling to do in order to get into my chosen profession. A few more years of learning about the scientific applications of magic to become a researcher. But you, love, never really said what you wanted to do afterwards.\"\n\nIxen contemplated it as the cup gilded towards him, pouring itself into his maw without the dragon having to even lift a finger, as he considered the answer he would give. \n\n\"I decided...I'll join the department. Using magic for combat just felt right you know? I never really had to fight anyone with it before, but getting a chance to do it for once was just...it felt really liberating in a sense. Like I could do anything I wanted to do.\" \n\nNivem looked at him, smiling at the dragon she admired as her tail swayed back and forth a bit, thinking to herself about the option. Sure the department was strict, but he did fine overall, and Odarriya is a rather famous school, so he should be fine getting in. At least she hoped. \n\n\"Alrighty. Well I do hope it goes well. Let's both meet here later ok? I have to go and do the paperwork for my transfer to another institute to learn more about research and development. You're heading straight there I take it?\" \n\nIxen nodded, crossing his arms before looking back at her confidently. \n\n\"This time tomorrow, you'll be looking at a new rookie on file at the department of magical affairs! Good luck to both of us! But you know, I don't really need it~.\" \n\nHis cocky and confident reply left Nivem giggling, smiling even at how brave he was to go into a line of work that would put him in danger so often and on the regular. She could never imagine doing that herself, but if it is him, then he should pull it off. \n\n\"Still wishing my lovely dragon it all the same anyway. You do well, and show them what for!!\" \n\nWith that, the pair left, finishing their glasses before each went their separate ways for the day. Despite how big Odarriya was, teleportation crystals directly to the department were plentiful around the city, the place for official law enforcement around the world being a primary place for many to go whenever the nobility had something to complain about or crime to report on the lower world. Thankfully, the department still filtered every job that came in, deciding what ones were actually worth doing and the ones that could either be relegated to mercenaries or thrown out. They showed no bias towards jobs given to them by nobles or common folk, something Ixen was confident would be the case when it came to hiring. However...it would not be quite that simple. \n\nAs he made his way in, an emerald dragon sat behind a desk, familiars all around her carrying crystal tablets around the building as she typed away on a crystal slab with a keyboard being magically projected in front of her. She did not even look up at the dragon as she continued, hearing him walk in through the magiced doors that dissipated upon him walking up, before reforming immediately.\n\nIxen looked at her, the two not speaking for a fair bit, with Ixen being actively ignored until he began to open his mouth to speak. Before he could even get a word out however, she quickly chimed in, immediately pre-empting his ability to speak. \n\n\"Any issue can be added and written on the tablet on the side. Jobs and requests will be looked over. Unless it is an urgent request, then please use the pad. If it is the latter, then go towards the left where they can help you over there...\" \n\n\"...off to a good start. Ok...\" \n\nThe comment annoyed Ixen, but he did his best to hold his tongue, knowing that it would only make things harder for himself. He simply proceeded to talk again, ignoring her instructions. Requesting an audience with the hiring agent, the emerald dragon stopped what she was doing immediately, and began to look him over, appraising him with her gaze, before losing interest. Immediately she took out a different tablet underneath the table where she sat and quickly began to type into it, now not looking at Ixen at all. \n\n\"Are you a member of a noble family that lives here in Odarriya?\" \n\n\"O-oh...well...no. I am from a town off the side of Silgar. It was called-\" \n\n\"So it's a no. Gotcha.\" \n\nShe quickly typed away on the tablet, cutting him off from speaking once more, before sliding up a bit on the handheld crystal slab and typing away a bit more. Soon she asked him yet another question, though a bit more condescendingly before compared to the last one, as if knowing what the answer would be even before he answered it. \n\n\"Any ties to a royal family that are vouching for you to join? Or a recommendation by one in Odarriya?\" \n\nIxen swallowed as his mind first jumped to Nivem. However a reminder that she was cut off from her own family due to learning alchemy instead of elemental magic, considering the former magic for commoners and poor folk. Thus, she lost her status as a noble and was scraping by off work at other places to help pay for school while staying with Ixen. Regardless, with a knot in his throat, he began to speak again, though only a bit came out before she quickly began typing again.\n\n\"N-no I-\" \n\n\"Got it.\" \n\nAnd with a deep, loathsome and condescending sigh, the receptionist put the tablet down and shook her head before staring back at him with a hard gaze that seemed to bore into his chest with pity and disdain. \n\n\"While your desire to join is warranted and appreciated, we sadly cannot accept someone with your...middling...magic potential into our department. Furthermore, due to lacking any connections with another royal or having a recommendation from one, I cannot choose to overlook your low aptitude for magic. I apologize, but we have a very strict standard for anyone choosing to apply and you fall very, very short of that. Consider training more and returning in a few years. \n\n\"What?!\" \n\nImmediately, Ixen slammed the table with his fists, the emerald not even reacting to the explosion as she stared at him with the same dead expression that looked down on him all this time. The outburst did nothing to help him, causing him to pull back and begin yelling. \n\n\"I graduated from ODARRIYA! And you're saying that I can't join because I have middling ability and am not some snobby rich dragon!?\" \n\n\"Something like that. Now if you are quite done, please leave-\" \n\n\"Like hell! That's not fair at all! You don't know at all what I'm able to do yet, and you're saying that just because I can't get through some pre-screening, that I'm not cut out for your prestigious little group?!\" \n\nThe emerald sighed before rolling her eyes, still quite composed as it was not the first time she had to deal with an outburst over someone not being able to join due to their preliminary scan. \n\n\"You can always come back at a later date. Train and work hard to increase your abilities so that-\" \n\n\"That's not the point! You even said you might wave that if I was a noble or tied to one! So you have a clear bias!\" \n\nThe receptionist didn't reply back, seeing little point in responding in kind, she shrugged before picking her original tablet back up and continuing on that, now ignoring Ixen completely. This served only to piss him off even more, leading to even more yelling on his end. Eventually, from the back, a high ranking member of the department, this time a pearl dragon, glared at Ixen as he made his way to the front of the room. \n\n\"Stop yelling. You are making a scene that you need not create. Need I remind you we are in the department office. Don't think we won't detain you for disrupting the peace, becoming aggressive and threatening a civilian.\" \n\n\"I-...haa...fine.\"\n\nAs much as he hated it, the pearl was correct. Fighting it now wouldn't serve to accomplish anything, thus leading him to lean back and take a deep breath to try and calm himself down. As the quiet of the hall slowly crept back in, Ixen still felt himself determined to join, now more collected than before and thinking a bit more rationally. \n\n\"I want to join the department. Why only let in so few? Surely you would want to have nearly anyone willing to join, join right?\" \n\nThe pearl shook his head quickly, without even having to mull over the question asked of him for any length of time.\n\n\"No, not at all. We have a minimum requirement because we want to ensure the best of the best join. The jobs we undertake are often dangerous and violent. We have no time to deal with run of the mill mages who will only run in and die at the first moment because they thought they were hot stuff.\" \n\nIxen bit his lip, now even more annoyed by the comment. Despite what he said, they seemed to waive the requirement, should they be a noble or close to a noble family enough to get recommended. All of it felt unfair, leaving him to refuse to leave and stand his ground. \n\n\"I can promise that wouldn't happen to me. And besides, I graduated from Odarriya, so surely that can account for something?\" \n\nThe pearl laughed as the garnet tried using Odarriya as a way to give himself some form of clout or prestige. Looking over him, it was clear that Ixen indeed graduated from there, given he lacked the physique of an offensive mage, with his chubby stomach and weak muscles. His stance also showed a lack of any kind of defense, making it clear he had very little combat training. \n\n\"If you had wanted to join, perhaps next time go to Melvania, rather than studying magic with your head buried in a book. We don't need bookworms, we need fighters. And you, my dear garnet, are not one of those.\" \n\nAt this, Ixen dropped to his knees, looking up at him now with an almost pleading look.\n\n\"Please, I want to join. I swear I won't be a burden or anything like that. I KNOW I'll be a strong member, so...\" \n\nThe pearl sighed once more, looking at him with a pitiful gaze. Still, with the sight of the dragon before him willing to throw any dignity he might have had away, the dragon was at least now willing to give him a chance. Making his way forward, he picked up an orb before beckoning Ixen to follow him over to a pillar with a slot to place the crystal globe inside on the top of it. Ixen himself recognized the item immediately, being a focusing crystal. \n\n\"I assume you know what this is?\" \n\n\"Yes. It is a focusing crystal. Basically a way to simulate fights...by having it scan one's mana information and then have the two fight inside a smaller arena created from environmental data.\" \n\n\"Indeed. A proper answer from one who knows the ins and outs. You participated in the end of year tournament, so you know the basics of how they work already. Channel your mana into it and we will begin. I'll test you. Pass and I'll be your noble rep, fail...and I never want to see your face here again. Deal? You are free to walk away of course, and won't be judged because of it.\" \n\nIxen looked at the pearl dragon as he mulled over the options. Leaving now and training first was on the table as an option. Or, he could accept here and now, prove his point and stomp this cocky noble...least who he thought was a noble, in combat and show he had what it takes to join. The answer did not take him long, standing up and putting his hand towards the crystal orb, he already knew the choice he wanted to make. This would be easy, a simple and trifling matter. All he needed to do was beat this guy in a simulation and it would be over. A quick and easy solution to his problems while getting to put a noble in their place. \n\nSeeing his confidence and resolve, the pearl dragon sighed before channeling mana into the sphere as well, muttering to himself as he did so. In mere moments, lights appeared around the two before erupting in a bright flash, causing everything around the two to go dark, a wide screen with a loading bar appeared in front of each one's gaze. Once the bar filled, a confirmation appeared, written in a language foreign to anyone other than those from Edarel appeared, and immediately stats of the opponent showed up in front of each one of the ones participating. The listings consisted of every school of magic to exist, with a rating from 0 to twenty. Along with it, age, gender, height and weight data also appeared, covering the information. \n\nFor Ixen, the age of the pearl dragon he was to face came up, listing it as 105, a bit over half the max most jewel dragon races live. Height listed itself as length, and came up as him being roughly ten feet overall, or 304 centimeters. Weight meant little, as he skimmed over it, and immediately locked eyes with the stats listing his aptitude in each school. As expected, most ranged from around 5-7. But what clearly stood out, was the neutral magic school rating of 17 and water at 20...a maxed out stat. Using his time remaining before the match began, he pulled down a sub menu within water to get a better idea of what he would be dealing with. The sub categories for it began listing, much to Ixen's shock, which in turn became fear as he realized just how outmatched he was. \n\nWater magic: 20\nSubcategories\nPlant: 20\nIce: 20\nLiquid: 20\nVapor/Gas: 20\n\n\"A fully mastered water mage! And that's not even covering neutral. Shit! No! Wai-!!\" \n\nBefore he could even consider withdrawing, the screens went black once more, and immediately the view of a lush, green field appeared before him. His opponent was nowhere to be seen, but there was no doubt that he was likely masking his presence with water.\n\n\"Ok...ok...he's going to be tough, but...I can do this. I HAVE to do this!\" \n\nIxen's eyes began to glow, and with it the view of mana particles in the air around him began to appear. As he looked around, a large mass of mana could be seen approaching him slowly from the distance. \n\n\"There!\" \n\nWithout even looking to see what the target was, Ixen immediately began to generate a massive amount of energy in his hand, the mana particles spinning uncontrollably around him as fire converged into a massive fireball! Once it was large enough, without even skipping a beat, he quickly raised it into the sky, before clapping his hands together and causing it to explode over the spot. The resulting explosion sent forth a rain of fire upon the spot where the large mana signature was, but once it had done so, Ixen quickly pushed his hand forward, and with an orange glow emanating from the palm of his hand, caused the flames to begin snaking around and ripping through the large cloud of mana! Eventually, once the cloud was littered with holes, Ixen quickly closed his palm, causing all of the mana serpents to come together, before erupting into a massive cyclone of fire, causing the mass of mana to evaporate. \n\n\"No problem! I was worried about nothing...this guy isn't so hard. To think…he was wearing such a weak shield bracelet…\" \n\nIxen then began to relax as he looked around and waited for the simulation to end. It was odd that the simulation had not ended yet, but he simply left it alone, assuming his win was too quick for it to pick up. However, not just a few moments later, vines from under the ground erupted around him, towering over him as they quickly began to surround him! With only a few moments to think, he quickly jumped out of the way and began moving away from the crashing vines before being tripped up by a root in the ground! The root caused him to fall and land on his back, the fall cushioned thanks to his own shield taking the impact from it. As his shield flickered from the potential damage he could have taken from the fall, he quickly shut his eyes in shock from what his mind perceived as incoming damage. After a few moments, he shook his head and opened his eyes once more, only to be greeted by a great many trees around him in the nearby vicinity. With this, it was clear the fight was far from over, but with so many trees around him, all emitting a mana signature, finding just one dragon with it would be impossible!\n\nIxen pulled himself up off the ground, frantically trying to find his opponent to avoid getting taken by surprise. With little choice, he moved to the only option available to him. Pulling in another large sum of mana, he got himself ready to burn every tree in the vicinity down around him. As he charged the spell up, a crashing wave of water surrounded him, causing him to lose balance as it swept him up into a vortex, battering against the bracelet as his body was sent into a spiraling cyclone! Screaming as he found himself completely defenseless, completely at the mercy of the vortex of water surrounding him, Ixen begged for it to stop, until eventually it did, causing him to come crashing down to the ground, before being caught beneath a strong tree, created to hold him between the crux of it like a pitchfork. Ixen’s scales and robe were completely doused with water, as he struggled to free himself from between the branches. He began to cover the plant holding him in flames, but the fire emitted did nothing to burn the tree holding him in place. \n\n\"You can’t even destroy my plants with your fire…do you now see? Your magic strength is middling at best.\" \n\nDespite having spoken, it still wasn't clear where the voice was coming from. How was the pearl dragon able to echo his voice all over the entire area? Was this some form of trick, or detailed magic he had not dealt with before? His fears slowly crept in, as reason and logic began to give way. Fear crept down his spine as he tried to continue to fight, as Ixen created a small orb in his hand and let it fly straight into the sky! However, despite doing so, the orb simply evaporated, as water surrounded it and completely doused the orb. \n\n\"Naive...this isn't magic, they are simple physics. How much do you know beyond how to fire out spells? Do you know the intricacies? How to alter them? Change them? No...you only know the basics of how to fight.\" \n\nWhat did he mean by physics and function? The comments from the pearl dragon began to grate at his nerves as Ixen struggled to free himself from in between the tree. The cloth bracelet on his arm was pulling double time as it kept shards of wood from the plant from piercing him, while also keeping it from scratching against the softness of his fragile scales. As he struggled, he quickly pushed the pearl dragon's comments out of his mind. Clearly he was overthinking it. The only thing he needed to do was find where he was hiding and blast him. Blast him hard and with enough shots, and he'd win. It was as simple as that. \n\nNow pissed off and more annoyed than ever, he quickly began charging up a vast amount of mana, far greater than his body could reasonably handle, before pushing the mana into the tree and causing it to erupt into flames! The scent of burning wood and billowing smoke rose into the sky, as the bracelet guarded him against the flames, though the cloth was becoming noticeably burnt from the heat. He needed to get out quickly, less the bracelet itself be destroyed and he found himself defenseless. \n\nAs he walked out of the flames, the residual use of so much mana took its toll on his body, causing him to collapse onto the ground, falling to his knees as pain wracked his body and he became unable to even move. As he struggled to breath, the aspect of having overcasted began to make him quickly lose consciousness, the sound of footsteps brought him back, as he looked up and saw the pearl dragon staring daggers down at him. \n\n\"Pitiful. You really are…not cut out for this. I was using the trees to make my voice echo...amplifying the sound and making it seem like I was everywhere. By using it, I can project my voice out over the field. Had you simply calmed down and listened, you could have easily located my actual position, but no…you acted rashly and drained yourself dry with only death staring at you. You never considered ways to use magic outside of just blowing things up with it. They would have taught you other combat applications for it in Melvania.\" \n\nAs much as he hated to admit it, the pearl dragon was correct in that he never considered the other applications of how to use his magic aside from how best to attack with it. Sure there were others who did as such, but never once did it occur to Ixen himself to try and expand what he knew on the application of fire based energy magic towards physics beyond the most simple concept of fire burning things on contact.\n\nAs the realization hit him, and with the pearl dragon right in front of him, with little other options available, his eyes dropped to his pendant with his gaze lingering on it for a moment before a smile crept over his face. \n\n“You think you’re so great…but…I haven’t lost quite yet. I still have LADON!!“ \n\nAt once, the necklace began to glow, and with it a vortex of fire began to burn away the trees all around the area, causing the pearl dragon to flinch for a moment as he laid eyes on a massive serpent forming from the flames in front of him. \n\n“How…ah…your father. I see…” \n\nDespite staring the massive serpent in the face, the pearl dragon’s expression did not change. As it rushed him, the pearl quickly created an orb of water around it, with steam covering the battlefield and making it impossible to see anything without mana vision! Clicking his maw in annoyance, the pearl dragon reared back and began pushing the orb down, covering the serpentine dragon in the orb before eventually causing it to evaporate into mist. On the outside, Ixen himself used the momentary distraction to refuel his mana, but the sight of Ladon having been taken down so easily stunned him. \n\n“L-Ladon…! You-!!” \n\nWithout even having a moment to even think, a vine instantly wrapped around his arms, preventing him from casting anymore spells. The vine began to pull him into the air, as the pearl dragon dropped himself back down onto all four legs, before walking forward again. \n\n\"I’ll admit, that was certainly surprising. I did not expect that. Such a trinket you have access to, and yet…it is wasted on you. Hmm…You also rely much on the shield of yours…like many mages do.\" \n\nIgnoring the nobles comments, Ixen continued to try and free himself, though without the ability to use his magic, he found himself unable to do much of anything. With each bit of movement he attempted, the pearl watched him with growing contempt, until eventually opening his mouth once more. \n\n“Shield bracelets block and protect us from otherwise fatal blows. The guard damage that could hurt us…and prevent us from being killed. However, as you seem to notice…they do not stop one from being pinned or…immobilized. As you no doubt have learned. But…there is a lot more to that…” \n\n“Grr…get to the point!!” \n\nThe explanation annoyed Ixen to no end, as if he was being lectured like a child about how the bracelets worked and functioned. With a sigh, the pearl dragon waved a claw around, causing a tree to begin forming underneath Ixen, before beginning to touch the tip of his rear. \n\n“W-what…what are you…p-planning…?” \n\n“As I was saying…they guard us from damage. Most see them as entirely beneficial. But…they can be used in very…notorious ways as well. Such as…this…” \n\nWith that, the tree began to grow, pushing its way into Ixen’s body, and forcing its way through him like a wooden snake! While the bracelet began to kick in, guarding him from the pain, the sheer feeling of being forcibly used, as a tree was forced through his body caused him to scream out in horror, as he struggled to free himself in as much haste as possible!\n\n“S-STOP!! W-WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS! P-PLEASE.S-STOP!!!”\n\nThe dragon looked at Ixen with disdain, continuing to let the plant grow all through his body, as tears began to flow out from Ixen’s eyes, covering his face as the size of the plant forced his neck up, growing through his throat and out his mouth.\n\n“You want…mercy? Oh…you have no idea what brand of criminals we deal with. You think…because you have magic, because you have a bracelet..,because you graduated from Odarriya, you deserve special treatment. No. What I’m showing you is reality. What will happen to you not just in a simulation, but real life…” \n\nEven as he talked, the sight of the tree finally growing leaves entered Ixen’s gaze, as a branch started to weave down towards the necklace he was gifted by his father for graduating. Something he was handed as an heirloom…an item to protect him in his time of need. The branch quickly wrapped around the fragile item and snapped it off Ixen’s neck, before dangling it in front of him, taunting him as the sight of his failure began to sink in. \n\n“You are undeserving of such an item. But…it isn’t my place to take things. That is not how we work here.” \n\nAnything the pearl dragon said to him was drowned out by the tears flowing out from Ixen’s eyes. As his mind was swamped with little else beyond the sight of his failure to live up to his own parents expectations, another feeling crept up in the back of his mind. One he knew nothing of at this moment in time. \n\nHowever, the pearl dragon, getting to see it for himself, looked on as he saw one thing that surprised him. The garnet dragon…was turned on. With his cock completely emerging from its slit, cum leaking from the tip and dripping out over the ground, the pearl dragon shook his head, though this time with a wry smile over his face. \n\n“Hah…so you are not as dominant as you care to show. You…really are something of a waste to have here. A mage who enjoys being raped and dominated by others…would only be seen as a detriment to our organization.” \n\nShield value at 5%\n\nThe sound of the item blaring a warning for it nearly running out of power finally began to give notice to both Ixen and the pearl in question. Struggling to even speak, Ixen tried to stammer out a last ditch plea for help, knowing that the moment it ran out, he would likely die inside the simulation. With no remorse, the pearl walked away, leaving Ixen to dangle in patience and horror as the inevitable creeped forward.\n\n“You will learn…that criminals…do not give you mercy…I hope this serves as a lesson…” \n\nIn moments, the shield dropped to 0, and with it, and onslaught of pain erupted throughout Ixen’s body! It felt as it his entire body exploded out in untold pain, screams from his muffled voice rang out as he couldn’t breath, the insides of his body breaking apart and any form of circulation throughout being cut off. In mere moments after the bracelet had worn off…Ixen blacked out, experiencing his death first hand. \n\nAnd almost as soon as it was over, their bodies were returned, with the pearl looking down at Ixen, and the garnet dragon, having fallen to the ground, tears flowing out from his face as he stared out over the floor. Even though it was simply a simulation, the trauma…the pain, everything felt as real as anything he could have ever experienced. He felt his death, and felt the tree run through his body, raping him and killing him within that simulation. \n\nWith no time to even recover, the pearl pulled Ixen up off the ground, before staring back at him with a stone expression upon his face. The next few words Ixen himself knew all to well. And ones that would continue to haunt him…all through his years. \n\n“Leave…and never come back here. You are forever barred…from joining the department.” \n\nWith that, Ixen was thrown out with a blast of water, the shield bracelet protecting his fragile bones from the force of the blast and impact of the stone that he landed on outside. He laid on the ground, staring up at the sky above him, doing nothing aside from contemplating what all had happened. As his mind slowly corrected itself, remembering that it was only a simulation, the realization of what had all happened slowly sank in. He failed. In the worst and most embarrassingly one sided way possible…\n\nA few hours later, inside the home each of the two shared at the time, he met up with Nivem once more, though with a far less cocky attitude compared to before. While she consoled him on the failure, a new path did open itself up to him, with her suggesting he go the route of being a mercenary instead. Despite his failure, his desire to get stronger only increased all the more. \n\n“I…I can do that. Yeah…mercenary. It isn’t nearly as prestigious, but…” \n\n“Yeah…well…it’s ok. I admit, even I agree. Nobles can be…really restrictive about who they accept.” \n\nIxen sighed from this, nodding silently to what she said, though knowing full well that it wasn’t the only thing on his mind. \n\n“Hey…N-nivem. There is…something else…I learned. \n\nThe kethana looked at him, cocking her head to the side as he said it, all before rubbing his back gently as she leaned in more to comfort him. The smaller mammal cuddled up to him, rubbing his stomach gently as she relaxed.\n\n“What would that be? You know you can tell me anything.” \n\nIxen looked away from her for a moment, his gaze uncertain on how to approach the subject. With a long, deep and overly dramatic sigh, he looked down at Nivem. His eyes signaled silently not to tell anyone about what he was about to say, much less ask of her. \n\n“Despite failing…something else…I l-learned. Um…I think…I want to test something. But I need you to top me. P-please…” \n\nThe question surprised her, causing Nivem to look at Ixen with wide eyes for a moment, only to nod before pulling herself up. With a few waves in the air, elemental particles gathering into the air, she quickly created something else for her to wear around her lower body. \n\n“You really want to try this? Are you sure, have you…ever subbed before?” \n\nIxen shook his head, knowing that this would actually be his first time ever actually taking a dick, even if artificially. With a request to take it slowly…the two left and within a few hours, became a newer experience that Ixen sought to keep to himself. \n\n(“I suppose this makes me a switch…. It’s really nice…being dominated…I like it a lot…”)\n",
"writing_bbcode_parsed": "<span style='word-wrap: break-word;'><em><span class='underline'><strong>These events take place when Ixen was 20 years old, about 8 years before meeting Yori</strong></span></em><br /><br />Days after graduation commenced, as the month of Frostmoon ticked by, the graduation ceremony in Odarriya had finished up. Ixen eagerly looked at his official license to use offensive magic freely after participating in an end of year tournament to graduate. While he did not win, losing in round two of the competition, he still performed adequately enough to be allowed to take on the world, as an official graduate of the most expensive school in all of Edarel. <br /><br />Across from him was a female kethana, small and sitting on a chair as the two drank tea from a pair of cups, the glasswear floating in front of them via magic while the table itself had no legs, but likewise levitated in the air, with a gemstone underneath it. The female squirrel creature wore a school robe, and had a strand of beads around her tiny arm. a small gemstone adorning her head, with a large one at the end of her tail. <br /><br />&quot;So what now for you? I have more schooling to do in order to get into my chosen profession. A few more years of learning about the scientific applications of magic to become a researcher. But you, love, never really said what you wanted to do afterwards.&quot;<br /><br />Ixen contemplated it as the cup gilded towards him, pouring itself into his maw without the dragon having to even lift a finger, as he considered the answer he would give. <br /><br />&quot;I decided...I&#039;ll join the department. Using magic for combat just felt right you know? I never really had to fight anyone with it before, but getting a chance to do it for once was just...it felt really liberating in a sense. Like I could do anything I wanted to do.&quot; <br /><br />Nivem looked at him, smiling at the dragon she admired as her tail swayed back and forth a bit, thinking to herself about the option. Sure the department was strict, but he did fine overall, and Odarriya is a rather famous school, so he should be fine getting in. At least she hoped. <br /><br />&quot;Alrighty. Well I do hope it goes well. Let&#039;s both meet here later ok? I have to go and do the paperwork for my transfer to another institute to learn more about research and development. You&#039;re heading straight there I take it?&quot; <br /><br />Ixen nodded, crossing his arms before looking back at her confidently. <br /><br />&quot;This time tomorrow, you&#039;ll be looking at a new rookie on file at the department of magical affairs! Good luck to both of us! But you know, I don&#039;t really need it~.&quot; <br /><br />His cocky and confident reply left Nivem giggling, smiling even at how brave he was to go into a line of work that would put him in danger so often and on the regular. She could never imagine doing that herself, but if it is him, then he should pull it off. <br /><br />&quot;Still wishing my lovely dragon it all the same anyway. You do well, and show them what for!!&quot; <br /><br />With that, the pair left, finishing their glasses before each went their separate ways for the day. <br /><br />As he made his way in, an emerald dragon sat behind a desk, familiars all around her carrying crystal tablets around the building as she typed away on a crystal slab with a keyboard being magically projected in front of her. She did not even look up at the dragon as she continued, hearing him walk in through the magiced doors that dissipated upon him walking up, before reforming immediately.<br /><br />Ixen looked at her, the two not speaking for a fair bit, with Ixen being actively ignored until he began to open his mouth to speak. Before he could even get a word out however, she quickly chimed in, immediately pre-empting his ability to speak. <br /><br />&quot;Any issue can be added and written on the tablet on the side. Jobs and requests will be looked over. Unless it is an urgent request, then please use the pad. If it is the latter, then go towards the left where they can help you over there...&quot; <br /><br />&quot;...off to a good start. Ok...&quot; <br /><br />The comment annoyed Ixen, but he did his best to hold his tongue, knowing that it would only make things harder for himself. <br /><br />&quot;Are you a member of a noble family that lives here in Odarriya?&quot; <br /><br />&quot;O-oh...well...no. I am from a town off the side of Silgar. It was called-&quot; <br /><br />&quot;So it&#039;s a no. Gotcha.&quot; <br /><br />She quickly typed away on the tablet, cutting him off from speaking once more, before sliding up a bit on the handheld crystal slab and typing away a bit more. Soon she asked him yet another question, though a bit more condescendingly before compared to the last one, as if knowing what the answer would be even before he answered it. <br /><br />&quot;Any ties to a royal family that are vouching for you to join? Or a recommendation by one in Odarriya?&quot; <br /><br />Ixen swallowed as his mind first jumped to Nivem. However a reminder that she was cut off from her own family due to learning alchemy instead of elemental magic, considering the former magic for commoners and poor folk. Thus, she lost her status as a noble and was scraping by off work at other places to help pay for school while staying with Ixen. Regardless, with a knot in his throat, he began to speak again, though only a bit came out before she quickly began typing again.<br /><br />&quot;N-no I-&quot; <br /><br />&quot;Got it.&quot; <br /><br />And with a deep, loathsome and condescending sigh, the receptionist put the tablet down and shook her head before staring back at him with a hard gaze that seemed to bore into his chest with pity and disdain. <br /><br />&quot;While your desire to join is warranted and appreciated, we sadly cannot accept someone with your...middling...magic potential into our department. Furthermore, due to lacking any connections with another royal or having a recommendation from one, I cannot choose to overlook your low aptitude for magic. I apologize, but we have a very strict standard for anyone choosing to apply and you fall very, very short of that. Consider training more and returning in a few years. <br /><br />&quot;What?!&quot; <br /><br />Immediately, Ixen slammed the table with his fists, the emerald not even reacting to the explosion as she stared at him with the same dead expression that looked down on him all this time. The outburst did nothing to help him, causing him to pull back and begin yelling. <br /><br />&quot;I graduated from ODARRIYA! And you&#039;re saying that I can&#039;t join because I have middling ability and am not some snobby rich dragon!?&quot; <br /><br />&quot;Something like that. Now if you are quite done, please leave-&quot; <br /><br />&quot;Like hell! That&#039;s not fair at all! You don&#039;t know at all what I&#039;m able to do yet, and you&#039;re saying that just because I can&#039;t get through some pre-screening, that I&#039;m not cut out for your prestigious little group?!&quot; <br /><br />The emerald sighed before rolling her eyes, still quite composed as it was not the first time she had to deal with an outburst over someone not being able to join due to their preliminary scan. <br /><br />&quot;You can always come back at a later date. Train and work hard to increase your abilities so that-&quot; <br /><br />&quot;That&#039;s not the point! You even said you might wave that if I was a noble or tied to one! So you have a clear bias!&quot; <br /><br />The receptionist didn&#039;t reply back, seeing little point in responding in kind, she shrugged before picking her original tablet back up and continuing on that, now ignoring Ixen completely. This served only to piss him off even more, leading to even more yelling on his end. Eventually, from the back, a high ranking member of the department, this time a pearl dragon, glared at Ixen as he made his way to the front of the room. <br /><br />&quot;Stop yelling. You are making a scene that you need not create. Need I remind you we are in the department office. Don&#039;t think we won&#039;t detain you for disrupting the peace, becoming aggressive and threatening a civilian.&quot; <br /><br />&quot;I-...haa...fine.&quot;<br /><br />As much as he hated it, the pearl was correct. Fighting it now wouldn&#039;t serve to accomplish anything, thus leading him to lean back and take a deep breath to try and calm himself down. As the quiet of the hall slowly crept back in, Ixen still felt himself determined to join, now more collected than before and thinking a bit more rationally. <br /><br />&quot;I want to join the department. Why only let in so few? Surely you would want to have nearly anyone willing to join, join right?&quot; <br /><br />The pearl shook his head quickly, without even having to mull over the question asked of him for any length of time.<br /><br />&quot;No, not at all. We have a minimum requirement because we want to ensure the best of the best join. The jobs we undertake are often dangerous and violent. We have no time to deal with run of the mill mages who will only run in and die at the first moment because they thought they were hot stuff.&quot; <br /><br />Ixen bit his lip, now even more annoyed by the comment. Despite what he said, they seemed to waive the requirement, should they be a noble or close to a noble family enough to get recommended. All of it felt unfair, leaving him to refuse to leave and stand his ground. <br /><br />&quot;I can promise that wouldn&#039;t happen to me. And besides, I graduated from Odarriya, so surely that can account for something?&quot; <br /><br />The pearl laughed as the garnet tried using Odarriya as a way to give himself some form of clout or prestige. Looking over him, it was clear that Ixen indeed graduated from there, given he lacked the physique of an offensive mage, with his chubby stomach and weak muscles. His stance also showed a lack of any kind of defense, making it clear he had very little combat training. <br /><br />&quot;If you had wanted to join, perhaps next time go to Melvania, rather than studying magic with your head buried in a book. We don&#039;t need bookworms, we need fighters. And you, my dear garnet, are not one of those.&quot; <br /><br />At this, Ixen dropped to his knees, looking up at him now with an almost pleading look.<br /><br />&quot;Please, I want to join. I swear I won&#039;t be a burden or anything like that. I KNOW I&#039;ll be a strong member, so...&quot; <br /><br />The pearl sighed once more, looking at him with a pitiful gaze. <br /><br />&quot;I assume you know what this is?&quot; <br /><br />&quot;Yes. It is a focusing crystal. Basically a way to simulate fights...by having it scan one&#039;s mana information and then have the two fight inside a smaller arena created from environmental data.&quot; <br /><br />&quot;Indeed. A proper answer from one who knows the ins and outs. You participated in the end of year tournament, so you know the basics of how they work already. Channel your mana into it and we will begin. I&#039;ll test you. Pass and I&#039;ll be your noble rep, fail...and I never want to see your face here again. Deal? You are free to walk away of course, and won&#039;t be judged because of it.&quot; <br /><br />Ixen looked at the pearl dragon as he mulled over the options. <br /><br />Seeing his confidence and resolve, the pearl dragon sighed before channeling mana into the sphere as well, muttering to himself as he did so. In mere moments, lights appeared around the two before erupting in a bright flash, causing everything around the two to go dark, a wide screen with a loading bar appeared in front of each one&#039;s gaze. <br /><br />For Ixen, the age of the pearl dragon he was to face came up, listing it as 105, a bit over half the max most jewel dragon races live. The sub categories for it began listing, much to Ixen&#039;s shock, which in turn became fear as he realized just how outmatched he was. <br /><br /><strong>Water magic:</strong> 20<br /><span class='underline'>Subcategories</span><br />Plant: 20<br />Ice: 20<br />Liquid: 20<br />Vapor/Gas: 20<br /><br />&quot;A fully mastered water mage! And that&#039;s not even covering neutral. Shit! No! Wai-!!&quot; <br /><br />Before he could even consider withdrawing, the screens went black once more, and immediately the view of a lush, green field appeared before him. His opponent was nowhere to be seen, but there was no doubt that he was likely masking his presence with water.<br /><br />&quot;Ok...ok...he&#039;s going to be tough, but...I can do this. I HAVE to do this!&quot; <br /><br />Ixen&#039;s eyes began to glow, and with it the view of mana particles in the air around him began to appear. As he looked around, a large mass of mana could be seen approaching him slowly from the distance. <br /><br />&quot;There!&quot; <br /><br />Without even looking to see what the target was, Ixen immediately began to generate a massive amount of energy in his hand, the mana particles spinning uncontrollably around him as fire converged into a massive fireball! <br /><br />&quot;No problem! I was worried about nothing...this guy isn&#039;t so hard. To think&hellip;he was wearing such a weak shield bracelet&hellip;&quot; <br /><br />Ixen then began to relax as he looked around and waited for the simulation to end. With this, it was clear the fight was far from over, but with so many trees around him, all emitting a mana signature, finding just one dragon with it would be impossible!<br /><br />Ixen pulled himself up off the ground, frantically trying to find his opponent to avoid getting taken by surprise. Ixen&rsquo;s scales and robe were completely doused with water, as he struggled to free himself from between the branches. He began to cover the plant holding him in flames, but the fire emitted did nothing to burn the tree holding him in place. <br /><br />&quot;You can&rsquo;t even destroy my plants with your fire&hellip;do you now see? Your magic strength is middling at best.&quot; <br /><br />Despite having spoken, it still wasn&#039;t clear where the voice was coming from. <br /><br />&quot;Naive...this isn&#039;t magic, they are simple physics. How much do you know beyond how to fire out spells? Do you know the intricacies? How to alter them? Change them? No...you only know the basics of how to fight.&quot; <br /><br />What did he mean by physics and function? The comments from the pearl dragon began to grate at his nerves as Ixen struggled to free himself from in between the tree. The cloth bracelet on his arm was pulling double time as it kept shards of wood from the plant from piercing him, while also keeping it from scratching against the softness of his fragile scales. As he struggled, he quickly pushed the pearl dragon&#039;s comments out of his mind. Clearly he was overthinking it. The only thing he needed to do was find where he was hiding and blast him. Blast him hard and with enough shots, and he&#039;d win. It was as simple as that. <br /><br />Now pissed off and more annoyed than ever, he quickly began charging up a vast amount of mana, far greater than his body could reasonably handle, before pushing the mana into the tree and causing it to erupt into flames! The scent of burning wood and billowing smoke rose into the sky, as the bracelet guarded him against the flames, though the cloth was becoming noticeably burnt from the heat. He needed to get out quickly, less the bracelet itself be destroyed and he found himself defenseless. <br /><br />As he walked out of the flames, the residual use of so much mana took its toll on his body, causing him to collapse onto the ground, falling to his knees as pain wracked his body and he became unable to even move. As he struggled to breath, the aspect of having overcasted began to make him quickly lose consciousness, the sound of footsteps brought him back, as he looked up and saw the pearl dragon staring daggers down at him.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />&quot;Pitiful. You really are&hellip;not cut out for this. I was using the trees to make my voice echo...amplifying the sound and making it seem like I was everywhere. By using it, I can project my voice out over the field. Had you simply calmed down and listened, you could have easily located my actual position, but no&hellip;you acted rashly and drained yourself dry with only death staring at you. You never considered ways to use magic outside of just blowing things up with it. They would have taught you other combat applications for it in Melvania.&quot; <br /><br />As much as he hated to admit it, the pearl dragon was correct in that he never considered the other applications of how to use his magic aside from how best to attack with it. Sure there were others who did as such, but never once did it occur to Ixen himself to try and expand what he knew on the application of fire based energy magic towards physics beyond the most simple concept of fire burning things on contact.<br /><br />As the realization hit him, and with the pearl dragon right in front of him, with little other options available, his eyes dropped to his pendant with his gaze lingering on it for a moment before a smile crept over his face. <br /><br />&ldquo;You think you&rsquo;re so great&hellip;but&hellip;I haven&rsquo;t lost quite yet. I still have LADON!!&ldquo; <br /><br />At once, the necklace began to glow, and with it a vortex of fire began to burn away the trees all around the area, causing the pearl dragon to flinch for a moment as he laid eyes on a massive serpent forming from the flames in front of him. <br /><br />&ldquo;How&hellip;ah&hellip;your father. I see&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />Despite staring the massive serpent in the face, the pearl dragon&rsquo;s expression did not change. <br /><br />&ldquo;L-Ladon&hellip;! You-!!&rdquo; <br /><br />Without even having a moment to even think, a vine instantly wrapped around his arms, preventing him from casting anymore spells. The vine began to pull him into the air, as the pearl dragon dropped himself back down onto all four legs, before walking forward again. <br /><br />&quot;I&rsquo;ll admit, that was certainly surprising. I did not expect that. Such a trinket you have access to, and yet&hellip;it is wasted on you. Hmm&hellip; You also rely much on the shield of yours&hellip;like many mages do.&quot; <br /><br />Ignoring the nobles comments, Ixen continued to try and free himself, though without the ability to use his magic, he found himself unable to do much of anything. With each bit of movement he attempted, the pearl watched him with growing contempt, until eventually opening his mouth once more. <br /><br />&ldquo;Shield bracelets block and protect us from otherwise fatal blows. The guard damage that could hurt us&hellip;and prevent us from being killed. However, as you seem to notice&hellip;they do not stop one from being pinned or&hellip;immobilized. As you no doubt have learned. But&hellip;there is a lot more to that&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />&ldquo;Grr&hellip;get to the point!!&rdquo; <br /><br />The explanation annoyed Ixen to no end, as if he was being lectured like a child about how the bracelets worked and functioned. With a sigh, the pearl dragon waved a claw around, causing a tree to begin forming underneath Ixen, before beginning to touch the tip of his rear. <br /><br />&ldquo;W-what&hellip;what are you&hellip;p-planning&hellip;?&rdquo; <br /><br />&ldquo;As I was saying&hellip;they guard us from damage. Most see them as entirely beneficial. But&hellip;they can be used in very&hellip;notorious ways as well. Such as&hellip;this&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />With that, the tree began to grow, pushing its way into Ixen&rsquo;s body, and forcing its way through him like a wooden snake! While the bracelet began to kick in, guarding him from the pain, the sheer feeling of being forcibly used, as a tree was forced through his body caused him to scream out in horror, as he struggled to free himself in as much haste as possible!<br /><br />&ldquo;S-STOP!! W-WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS! P-PLEASE.S-STOP!!!&rdquo;<br /><br />The dragon looked at Ixen with disdain, continuing to let the plant grow all through his body, as tears began to flow out from Ixen&rsquo;s eyes, covering his face as the size of the plant forced his neck up, growing through his throat and out his mouth.<br /><br />&ldquo;You want&hellip;mercy? Oh&hellip;you have no idea what brand of criminals we deal with. You think&hellip;because you have magic, because you have a bracelet..,because you graduated from Odarriya, you deserve special treatment. No. What I&rsquo;m showing you is reality. What will happen to you not just in a simulation, but real life&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />Even as he talked, the sight of the tree finally growing leaves entered Ixen&rsquo;s gaze, as a branch started to weave down towards the necklace he was gifted by his father for graduating. Something he was handed as an heirloom&hellip;an item to protect him in his time of need. The branch quickly wrapped around the fragile item and snapped it off Ixen&rsquo;s neck, before dangling it in front of him, taunting him as the sight of his failure began to sink in. <br /><br />&ldquo;You are undeserving of such an item. But&hellip;it isn&rsquo;t my place to take things. That is not how we work here.&rdquo; <br /><br />Anything the pearl dragon said to him was drowned out by the tears flowing out from Ixen&rsquo;s eyes. As his mind was swamped with little else beyond the sight of his failure to live up to his own parents expectations, another feeling crept up in the back of his mind. One he knew nothing of at this moment in time. <br /><br />However, the pearl dragon, getting to see it for himself, looked on as he saw one thing that surprised him. The garnet dragon&hellip;was turned on. With his cock completely emerging from its slit, cum leaking from the tip and dripping out over the ground, the pearl dragon shook his head, though this time with a wry smile over his face. <br /><br />&ldquo;Hah&hellip;so you are not as dominant as you care to show. You&hellip;really are something of a waste to have here. A mage who enjoys being raped and dominated by others&hellip;would only be seen as a detriment to our organization.&rdquo; <br /><br /><em>Shield value at 5%</em><br /><br />The sound of the item blaring a warning for it nearly running out of power finally began to give notice to both Ixen and the pearl in question. Struggling to even speak, Ixen tried to stammer out a last ditch plea for help, knowing that the moment it ran out, he would likely die inside the simulation. With no remorse, the pearl walked away, leaving Ixen to dangle in patience and horror as the inevitable creeped forward.<br /><br />&ldquo;You will learn&hellip;that criminals&hellip;do not give you mercy&hellip;I hope this serves as a lesson&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />In moments, the shield dropped to 0, and with it, and onslaught of pain erupted throughout Ixen&rsquo;s body! It felt as it his entire body exploded out in untold pain, screams from his muffled voice rang out as he couldn&rsquo;t breath, the insides of his body breaking apart and any form of circulation throughout being cut off. In mere moments after the bracelet had worn off&hellip;Ixen blacked out, experiencing his death first hand. <br /><br />And almost as soon as it was over, their bodies were returned, with the pearl looking down at Ixen, and the garnet dragon, having fallen to the ground, tears flowing out from his face as he stared out over the floor. Even though it was simply a simulation, the trauma&hellip;the pain, everything felt as real as anything he could have ever experienced. He felt his death, and felt the tree run through his body, raping him and killing him within that simulation. <br /><br />With no time to even recover, the pearl pulled Ixen up off the ground, before staring back at him with a stone expression upon his face. The next few words Ixen himself knew all to well. And ones that would continue to haunt him&hellip;all through his years. <br /><br />&ldquo;Leave&hellip;and never come back here. You are forever barred&hellip;from joining the department.&rdquo; <br /><br />With that, Ixen was thrown out with a blast of water, the shield bracelet protecting his fragile bones from the force of the blast and impact of the stone that he landed on outside. He laid on the ground, staring up at the sky above him, doing nothing aside from contemplating what all had happened. As his mind slowly corrected itself, remembering that it was only a simulation, the realization of what had all happened slowly sank in. He failed. In the worst and most embarrassingly one sided way possible&hellip;<br /><br />A few hours later, inside the home each of the two shared at the time, he met up with Nivem once more, though with a far less cocky attitude compared to before. While she consoled him on the failure, a new path did open itself up to him, with her suggesting he go the route of being a mercenary instead. Despite his failure, his desire to get stronger only increased all the more. <br /><br />&ldquo;I&hellip;I can do that. Yeah&hellip;mercenary. It isn&rsquo;t nearly as prestigious, but&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />&ldquo;Yeah&hellip;well&hellip;it&rsquo;s ok. I admit, even I agree. Nobles can be&hellip;really restrictive about who they accept.&rdquo; <br /><br />Ixen sighed from this, nodding silently to what she said, though knowing full well that it wasn&rsquo;t the only thing on his mind. <br /><br />&ldquo;Hey&hellip;N-nivem. There is&hellip;something else&hellip;I learned. <br /><br />The kethana looked at him, cocking her head to the side as he said it, all before rubbing his back gently as she leaned in more to comfort him. The smaller mammal cuddled up to him, rubbing his stomach gently as she relaxed.<br /><br />&ldquo;What would that be? You know you can tell me anything.&rdquo; <br /><br />Ixen looked away from her for a moment, his gaze uncertain on how to approach the subject. With a long, deep and overly dramatic sigh, he looked down at Nivem. His eyes signaled silently not to tell anyone about what he was about to say, much less ask of her. <br /><br />&ldquo;Despite failing&hellip;something else&hellip;I l-learned. Um&hellip;I think&hellip;I want to test something. But I need you to top me. P-please&hellip;&rdquo; <br /><br />The question surprised her, causing Nivem to look at Ixen with wide eyes for a moment, only to nod before pulling herself up. With a few waves in the air, elemental particles gathering into the air, she quickly created something else for her to wear around her lower body. <br /><br />&ldquo;You really want to try this? Are you sure, have you&hellip;ever subbed before?&rdquo; <br /><br />Ixen shook his head, knowing that this would actually be his first time ever actually taking a dick, even if artificially. With a request to take it slowly&hellip;the two left and within a few hours, became a newer experience that Ixen sought to keep to himself. <br /><br />(&ldquo;I suppose this makes me a switch&hellip;. It&rsquo;s really nice&hellip;being dominated&hellip;I like it a lot&hellip;&rdquo;)<br /></span>",
