Those that lived in it had no functioning knowledge of electricity beyond what their “electric types” could use, and any homes that they had were simple, built from the most basic of foundations. Wood logs and thick, hardened mud or stone. But because of this, the natural resources in this world remained completely untapped and unused. With a sigh, he pulled a leaf from a nearby bush, feeling it within his paws for a brief moment before letting it fall to the ground. The leaf was from a plant typically valued for its unparalleled medicinal properties. Despite being as valuable as it was however, here…in Aderon, it grew wild, untamed and practically unused.
This led itself into the other main problem he noted. The distinct separation between those that wish to live in towns, and ones in the wild. Sure, digimon were not much different in this regard, but these other creatures, these pokemon, as they were called, lacked any form of organization and control. Or the organization he found himself a part of, Aderon would be an easy place to farm.
Eventually, he soon found himself pulled away from his thoughts as a town, tucked away from the world outside and sitting amidst the trees, came into view. Much of the pokemon within were grass and bug types, as expected. Nothing within stood out to him, until the notable feeling of a massive illusion took hold over his feelings. It was subtle, to be sure, but there was no doubt that something nearby had changed. Almost like…everyone was in a spell.
“I know what’s going on.”
Making his way out of the village, he looked around the general area, until soon enough, he spied a very familiar zoroark, sitting upon a self made stump and drinking what looked like tea. Completely unaware of his presence, Lars made his way over, giving the female quite a startle as he greeted her. It was clear by the reaction alone, that this was likely the real one again.
The two exchanged words, with Lars learning a bit more about Aderon overall, along with what Gemori’s purpose here was, as she called herself. To recruit a potential new ally? She was noticeably scant on details, which only further cemented her involvement in something nefarious. Still, this led Lars to make a proposition, one that the female would find quite enticing, given their last altercation.
“Let us have a bet. There aren't as many beauties around as yourself. So let us have a quick lay, and see if you can concentrate on keeping that illusion up while we do so. Pull it off, and I’ll be happy to offer my sincerest praise and bow to your superior skills. Fail, and you have little to lose other than pride. What say you…?”
Gemori thought over the proposition for a bit, knowing her purpose here and what it served. Still, the one she was aiming for was less than stellar, so after a brief moment of deliberation, she finally nodded, accepting the bet.
“Beating you will be a trifling matter anyway. I do hope you understand the unwinnable match in which you put your pride on the line for, love~”
With a smirk, Lars was upon her in only moments, pulling off the sash she wore around her chest and throwing it to the ground, before pulling her up and effortlessly overpowering her physically. It was clear her physical strength had not increased at all since before. Indeed, her confidence, despite the loss she had earned last time, had not diminished whatsoever.
Lifting her up into the air and holding Gemori up with one hand on her leg and another around the hip, she worked in tandem to keep herself steady by pulling her arm around his back. Later on, upon making it back to Lebon, despite the efforts Gemori had put in to getting the recruit, the pokemon that she brought in had failed to pass the first part of the test, dying at the earliest possible convenience. Disappointing as it were, she shrugged, and prepared to move on to her next potential recruit.
