\n\t\t\t\t\trefinedsalt for another one of the Edarel characters done for the first time~Going along with the race sheet, here is another one of the major characters for Edarel. One that has appeared in name a few times, but now is finally getting a physical look. One of Ixen's partners and the first to help him, the Anki, Elsu. I'll get a more comprehensive character sheet for him eventually! But for now~

Appearance
Elsu is an anki with a shiny obsidian shell color, sporting the typical large, yellow eyes and three fingered hands. He wears a hooded gray and black cottro fur cloak around the body, using it to cover his arms and shell whenever possible, while also keeping a pouch around the waist for any small items such as mana and health pills. The cloak is connected by a single dark, non reflective clip that can come off and on over the side.
Personality
Elsu is one that puts a heavy focus on his love and affection for those he is close to, with a natural desire to protect the ones he sees as family, and a fierce loyalty to those he deems as a life mate. However, Elsu is also one that holds the religious tendencies of his race close to heart, while seeking to acknowledge some of the teaching that Cultus and magic would preach within his normal life. Naturally torn between his desire to be a skilled hunter, but knowing that magic is required to do so, the anki constantly struggles to seek a balance between each of the professions, leading him to be indecisive at times. He has begrudging respect for those who dislike magic due to holding a fair amount of resentment towards it himself, though retains a far greater respect for alchemy compared to any of the other schools. Despite his choice to work alongside mages in defense against those who would persecute them, he has a high amount of respect for anti-mage groups, even wavering on joining them on many occasions.
Abilities
Elsu is a skilled marksman and weapons mage who relies mainly on the bow to fire from a range and shower opponents in a bevy of energy arrows. Despite being a mage by trade, Elsu’s training in legitimate hunting and archery within the tribe make him a far better shot than mages who typically take up the school. He combines all of this with his natural affinity for shadow magic, using the school to stalk about unseen, and hide within lightless corridors to strike targets from the shadows at a distance. Mixed with an affinity for lockpicking, marlinspike, and general stealth skills, Elsu makes for a natural ranged assassin.
Overtime, he develops his weapon magic skills to expand them into using small shields and weapons for close combat as well.
