Hmm, let me think. Well, I remember I was young when I first saw the Ninja turtles, it was the 80’s version and I loved it. My mother however did not and told me that turtles were for boys and forbid me from watching it. I snuck every episode I could when I was over at friends houses. Fast forward to the 2003 turtles and once again I was told that turtles were for boy’s and was given a disapproving stare down by mommy dearest, so in true obedient fashion I turned the TMNT off, set my alarm clock under my pillow, woke up at 3am every single day and watched the re-aired episodes in secret.\n\n \n\nP: When did you begin participating in the fandom?\n\nCIR: Participating in the fandom…hmm…\nWell, if you mean in general, I was a turtle fan for years, but really became active during the 2k3 series. Hummerhouse is 100% to blame for my corruption and headfirst dive into the Tcest fandom. I was poking around, still a naughty minor, exploring the innocence of the internet when I came across fanfiction and even worse, the dreaded 18+ off limits for minors section!!!\nOf course I dove right into it and read this spicey fic regarding Donatello and Bishop and then…then…RAPHAEL??? Take constructive criticism and use it to better your work, but remember to have fun while doing it.\n\n \n\nP: How do you stay motivated, or cope with writers’/artists’ block?\n\nCIR: If I ever become overwhelmed with a story or board with a fic, I simply start to contemplate another one and create an intro and first chapter. While I do this, I make sure to write one sentence at a time if I have to in order to get through whatever is blocking me from writing.\n\nAsk Ikara, I’m always bouncing stories and ideas off of her.\nIn regards to staying motivated, that one is easy. Gladiator. It’s a nice change of pace.\nThe character I dislike writing? Leo… Mr. Serious. Ugh, no. He’s so hard to write.\n\n \n\nP: What character or characters do you identify with the most?\n\nCIR: I’d say a mix of 2k3 April and 2k12 Karai.\n\n \n\nP: Does that influence how you portray them?\n\nCIR: A little lol\n\n \n\nP: How do you personally handle the large number of comments that your bigger works have gotten?\nFor example, \"When the scientist becomes the subject\" by Ikara and yourself has over 800 comments!\n\nCIR: Archive of your own has a wonderful set up for comments.
