This Comic Series is a flashback based on her Roleplay stories on Tumbr.
I have a Long way to go.
Allow me to explain the reason I agreed to this Comic commission.
I don't fully remember how I stumbled into the RP series called AWINDOFFREEDOM by YUNI. A story about a more vulnerable version of Sonic the Hedgehog called Starlight.
But discovering so many different branches of stories, events, and even AU's revolving around Starlight especially among other RP writers were quite fascinating, though the ones that got me hooked were when Star was pregnant with Ariel.
I'd read their stories any chance I could, even having to go back to figure out where they line up.
At most I enjoyed reading the events of Starlight's pregnancy.
I drew a few pictures for her here and there, as you can see.
And I would find them in RP blogs inbox forms to express Starlight's feelings as the blogs describe what he's going through. I was so honored.
And the time I lost the charge cord for my laptop, (It couldn't function without it) I panicked about how I was supposed to send my latest comic
page to Yuni AWINDOFFREEDOM before Christmas Eve.
I went beyond to find a way to deliver just one of those pages for her to add for Ariel's birth. I tried libraries, I tried photo prints at 2 different pharmacy stores to transfer them from my SD card to Flashdrive, but nothing worked. I feared I wasn't gonna make it.
Last ditch effort, I decided to try on my brother's laptop, I asked and he agreed.
But luckily, my uncle brought me a duplicate cord. With it, I got my laptop working again and I was able send that page to her right on time. (Wasn't entirely finished, but it was worth it.)
That's how dedicated I am.
At one point, I read a comment where she remembered she had another fanchild before Ariel, Pandora (formerly named Psalm.) and tried to figure out how to put her in her stories.
And that's where it came in motion.
When Yuni signed up to Inkbunny, I noticed one of my pictures in her Favorites gallery. (

A while later Yuni came to the conclusion to add Pandora to her story by having her taken away from Starlight at birth during his captivity. (via Sonic Forces)
And looking back on her favorites list, it led me to believe that I was the inspiration for Pandora's origin.
So of course I was delighted to do a commission comic for her on how it all played out, she even wrote a script for me. (I still have it)
I however underestimated how heavy of a task this turned out to be.
My heart ached each time I worked on this comic. With every sketch, line, color, down to the last detail, I could feel Starlight's pain and the worst to come.
At times I've gone for weeks without touching these pages because I couldn't bear to cause Starlight any further suffering.
But I knew deep down. This story was inspired by me, so it was up to me to finish it. I promised.
In the end... It was worth it.
