You wake up at 6am, it has became routine for you waking up at this hour. Stretching yourself, and looking at your phone, talking to your mother last night made you feel refreshed. And no one is knocking on your door yet, so you might as well engage in your routine of using your cellphone, you don't want to get up anytime soon. That's because today you will have to go talk to Doreen about the spiderwebs you forgot to take off the ceiling, and maybe get to work on her backyard. You don't want to charge the spiderwebs because it's your fault for not cleaning, and even if you think it's fair, you're not keen on working for free. After scrolling for a while, someone is knocking on your door, you quickly get up and say that they can come in. "Morning Sam! Breakfast is ready!" Bingo says. "Morning Bingo, I will be going in a minute." "Okay." She says leaving. You decide to just text good morning to mom. Picking your phone and opening the messages, you see two unknown numbers messaged you. "Hey Sam, this is Chilli, I asked your mom for your number so we could call you if we needed." And the other. "This is Bandit, you heard the boss." Well, that's good in case you need to tell them something. You send your mom good morning and leave for breakfast. As you get to the table, your aunt pours you your coffee. "Morning Sam, any plans to go working today?" She asks you. "Well, I wanna see if Doreen needs help with her backyard. I hope I can figure it out though, it will be my first time cleaning a yard." "Don't worry about that kiddo, you will do great!" Your uncle tells you supportively. "Yeah, I'm sure you will learn as you do it. Today the girls are having fruit salad, do you that too or do you want toast?" Chilli asks you. "Hm, I think I will go with the salad. I like variety." Chilli than goes prepare the fruit salad and your uncle turns to you again. "Cleaning the backyard looks hard when dad does it. Can't you just skip it?" Bingo says. "Yeah, I mean, you are already making lots of dollar bucks by cleaning the houses ain't you?" Bluey adds. You think for a moment, you could just go for someone else's house. But you wanna clean the backyards too, you feel like it's part of the service. "Well, I think if I'm gonna work cleaning houses, I might as well do it properly." Bandit looks at you mouth agape, he then bring his hands together praying. "Oh God, bless this new member of our family! You sent us a perfect child! If only he was mine!" "Hey!!! You said you don't pick favorites!!!" Bluey says angrily. "Yeah, don't you love us??!!?!" Bingo asks sadly. Bandit then laughs and walk between them to hug both at the same time. "Hey, stop both of you, he's not my favorite! I promised I would love you two forever, and I will!" "Then why are you praising Sam so much!!!" Chilli then brings your fruit salad along with her and Bandit's toasts, and turn to the girls. "Because Sam already came here knowing stuff that it's your father's job to teach you." She then sits and looks at him smugly. "Even if he needs to teach you over and over again, as many times as needed. But he DOESN'T WANT TO DO IT PROPERLY, and wants you two to learn it anyway!" Chilli accuses him with a smile on her face. Bluey and Bingo look at him with judging eyes. "How outrageous!" Bluey says. "In my defense, you two are very hard to teach!" "No we are not!" The girls say in unison. They keep discussing and you just laugh every now and then. After breakfast you are ready to go to Doreen's house, and as you walk through the living room Bandit calls your attention. "Hey Sam, you have my number, so if you need my help with Dorren's backyard you can just call me okay?" "Okay, thank you uncle Bandit." You say smiling. "Bye everyone!" You say heading out and everyone tells you back. You get to Doreen's door and knock, she opens the door and is really surprised to see you. "Good morning Sam, what brings you here?" "Good morning Doreen. You see, when I came here to clean, I forgot to clean the spiderwebs, so I came here to finish the job, free of charge. And also to see if you wanted my help with the backyard." "Oh, my!" She looks up to check the ceiling. "Well, I didn't notice, so it's also my fault. I do need help with the backyard, so I will just pay you both things when you're done." "You really don't need to, but I will get to work and we can discuss that later." "Okay, I will bring the broom." She leaves and quickly comes back with the tool. "Here, I will take the things you will need to the backyard to speed things up." "Okay." You quickly realize you're too short to reach the ceiling here, so you take a chair so you can stand on. Then you start to run the broom across the corners on the ceiling, removing the spiderwebs. You repeat it in all of the rooms of house, throwing the webs into the garbage, finishing everything quickly. You than put the broom in the corner of the living room, and go outside to see Doreen waiting for you. "Wow, you were really fast Sam." "Thank you. So, what do you need me to do?" "I need you to swipe the leaves, cut the grass, throw everything in the bin and water the plants." "Ok, I will do my best." You than take the rake and start to swipe all of the leaves off the ground, doing this in the sun really makes you sweat and get tired. After getting all the leaves out, you reckon it's time to mow the lawn. You take her mower and see it runs on petrol, you never used one of these, so you might as well call your uncle. Pulling your phone out, you find his contact and dial it. "Hey Sam, how's it going over there?" "Oh, it's going alright, I just need a bit of help on turning on Doreen's lawn mower." "Oh, that's easy, do you see that there's a moving part at the place where your hands rest?" "Uh-huh." "That is the lever, you press it down, and then just pull the starter string. Might take a few pulls to go, but you will get there." "Ok, when I am done, how do I turn it off?" "Just let the lever go, easy peasy." "Thank you uncle Bandit." "You're welcome kid." You end the call and do as he said. Press the lever and pull the string. You hear the engine hurls, but it doesn't stay on. You pull it again, and again, after the fifth time or so it comes to life and you can finally start mowing the grass. You decide to go from side to side, in a zig-zag pattern, slowly covering all of Doreen's backyard. You take your time, making sure to get everything, when you're done, you figure out how to open the grass compartment and throw it into the bin. You pull your phone to send a "Thank you uncle, I finished cutting the grass without a problem." message to him. Now, the only thing that it's left is to water the plants. You take the hose and start throwing water on the plants, this goes pretty fast and you quickly finish the entire thing. Getting inside to meet Doreen, you find her watching TV in the living room. "Hey Doreen, I'm finished, this was my first time tidying up a backyard, so if you could check to see how I did it would help me a lot." "Sure thing, let me take a look." She stands up and walks outside. There, she takes a good look and nods to herself. "You did a great job Sam, how much was it in total?" "Let's see I got here at 8:00 and it's 9:40." You pull your phone and calculates the value. "$34,84." "Are you couting you coming back to finish the spiderwebs?" She asks inquisitive. "No..." She shakes her head smiling and pulls her purse. "Here's 40 dollars, great work Sam." "Thank you Doreen, you didn't have to." "Nonsense, you deserve it." You leave Doreen's house and go back to your aunt's. You can hear your cousins playing in the back along with Bandit and some other voices you guess are your neighbors. You enter through the front door and upon entering the living room you see your aunt Chilli, she is doing yoga in the living room. She is turned to the TV, hands on the ground, her bottom lifted all the way up... She notices you and looks at you between her legs. "Hey Sam, back already?" "Yeah..." She groans and sits back down, turning to you and opening her legs to make a almost full split, moaning as she does. "Wanna join me in here~?" She asks you with notorious sultry tone. "No thanks, I-I'm kinda tired after helping Doreen... I'm gonna go..." You tell her walking up the stairs. "Suit yourself." She says and goes back to doing the yoga. You go to your room, put your money on your wallet and sit on your bed. People don't wear clothes normally, but no one let their private parts visible the way your aunt was... Your auntie is the one that has been peeping on you while you bath. She definitely is behind that... but how far does she wants to go... You pull your phone. "Call me if you wanna tell me something." That's what your mother said, you should tell her this. You can't be exaggerating right now right? Right? You stay with your phone in your hands for a while, debating whether you should call and tell what's happening to your mom or not. You think about all that can happen if you do tell someone about this... And you don't want to make people mad at eachother... You take a deep breath and remember your strength. "Stray dogs thrive in the struggle." You can take whatever your auntie throws at you. You leave your room and go downstairs, your aunt is still doing yoga. You walk past her and head straight to the backyard, where you find your cousins, Bandit, Judo and Lucky playing. "Can I play with you?" You ask them and they say yes. They were playing jungle and all you had to do was to pretend you're a animal and interact with the others. The game goes until lunch time, and Judo and Lucky leave for their homes. Today's lunch was spaghetti, and was really good. "Hmm, this is better than normal, how did you do it mum?" Bluey asks viciously eating the pasta on her plate. "I decided to use the good tomato sauce today, your father and I thought you kids deserved it, so enjoy!" Chilli explains. "Really, you used the good one instead of that tasteless one you make us eat normally?!?" Bingo asks in disbelief. "Yup, don't get used to it thoug!" Bandit tells her. "Oh really??? But we are your lovely daughters!!!" Bluey says in a sad tone. "Yeah!!!" Bingo follows her sister and both give their parents puppy eyes. "Kids, that is not going to work." Chilli says rolling her eyes. "Awwnn..." Both says in unison. "Shouldn't you two be glad that you got to eat the good sauce today?" You try to argue with them. "Well, yes. But the other sauce tastes like nothing!!!" Bluey says refusing to accept. After lunch, your uncle and aunt tells you kids that we are going to the park later, and everyone cheers at that. You and your cousins go back to playing with your neighbors until it's time to go to the park. "Sam, do you wanna compete on who can do more skips in the monkey bars?" Bluey challenges you. "You're on!" You two go directly to the monkey bars and start your competition. "Do you want to go first?" You ask Bluey "Nah, you can have it, I need to know how good you are so I don't make you chicken out immediately!" She says smugly. "Oh yeah, let's see about that!" You start to skip in the monkey bars, to start with a nice number, you go through all the rings three times. One go all the way in, one all the way back and one back again. "Your turn." You say bowing and poiting at the toy. "I can easily do more than that." She says keeping her smug. And she does, she goes four times all the way, before dropping back on the ground. "And I didn't even break a sweat!" She says stepping aside. The game goes on for a while. You did 8 and a half and it's Bluey turn, she doesn't look as tired as you. "I think you will get the win this time Bluey..." You say stretching your sore arms. "Hehehe! I said it was gonna be easy." You roll your eyes and she gets to it, she easily goes back and forth, determined to win. You look around and see Bingo sitting sad at the bench, you walk up to her and sit beside her. "Hey Bingo, is everything okay?" "No, that boy pushed me off the swings and said I couldn't play there anymore..." "What! That's horrible, why don't we go tell your mom and dad about it. I'm sure they can do something about that mean kid." "Okay..." Bluey sees you two sitting and run towards you and Bingo. "What happened? Why did you leave? Why is Bingo sad?" "That boy bullied her, we are going to tell your parents so they can sort it out, come on Bingo, do you want to ride on my back?" "Yes..." She climbs onto your back and you take her to Chilli and Bandit. She explains what happened and Bandit walks to the kids mother, you all watch him talk to the woman and can clearly see she sighing. Then she stands up and walks to her son, when she talk to him you can clearly see that she is scolding him and that he knows that he is wrong. She then point at your family and both of them walk up to you. "I'm sorry I pushed you out of the swings..." "And?" His mother asks angrily. "And for saying you couldn't play anymore..." Bingo blows a raspberry at him and he frowns. "I'm sorry for my son, I don't know what got into him. You can go back to the swings, we are going back home, he is grounded for a while. Sorry again..." She says and they leave the park. Chilli than turns to Bingo and says. "You were really brave telling us about that bully sweetie." "Thank you, but Sam is the one that made me speak up. Thank you Sam!" Bingo says hugging you from the back. "You're welcome, Bingo. But you should always go talk to an adult when someone is causing you trouble." "Okay." After what happened to Bingo, they treat you to ice cream, Bingo gets two scoops since she got bullied and then you go back home. "Alright, time for the bath girls!" Bandit says happily. "NOOOO!!!" As they are taken upstairs, you're left wil Chilli in the living room, she turns to you and pets your head. "Thank you for helping Bingo speak up about that kid, she really needs help with these stuff, and I'm glad you were there for her." "You're welcome, just doing what's right." "I see, well, thanks again. I'm gonna go make dinner, we are having lasagna!" She says as she walks away. You go to your room, your arms are still sore from competing on the monkey bars with Bluey. After a while, Bandit knocks on your door and tells you that the bathroom is free for you to bath. You take your bath and this time, the door is closed when you leave!!!! You release a breath you didn't know you were holding and go play with your cousins until dinner. Like your auntie said, the dinner was lasagna. Each bite of it felt like heaven, but like everything that is good, it comes with something bad. "Huh, kids?" Your uncle calls your cousin's and your's attention. "What?" Bingo and Bluey ask while delightfully eating their plates full of lasagna. "You probably noticed that today we had many good things right?" "Yeah, today's been great!" Bluey says excited. "The reason for that... is because I was called by my boss, and I will have to travel for work immediately..." "What?! When are you leaving??!?!" Bingo asks devasted. Bandit takes a deep breath before answering. "Tomorrow morning." Bluey is left mouth agape and Bingo drops her fork.
