You woke up really early, at 5am, and decided to message your mom good morning and scroll through the web for a while. Your mom told you your auntie doesn't let your cousins use smartphones or tablets, so you might as well fill your quota now then not use it at all. You were watching some videos on youtube when someone knocks on the door and slowly opens it. You lazily turn your head to the door, not bothering to move at all and see it's Bluey and Bingo. They see you and giggle.
"You look funny like that Sam!" Bluey says giggling.
"Yeah, you have a double chin!" Bingo adds up.
You giggle, imagining the scene from their eyes. With a sigh, you get up and stretch.
"Come on, it's time for breakfast." Bingo says fully opening the door.

"Uh-huh." You agree humming and walking out of the door.
They run downstairs and you can tell they have way more energy than you. Reaching the kitchen you find everyone, Bandit is sitting at the counter, Chilli is preparing the food, and, Bingo and Bluey are already playing. They are playing a very different version of checkers, where the pieces are somehow able to move both straight and diagonally. You sit with them and ask to play too, waiting for the rules.
"Well, Dad tried to teach us chess, but we couldn't learn. So he is trying to teach us checkers, but we didn't either." Bluey says almost with pride in her voice.
You giggle at the scene along with Bingo. 
"Do you know how to play chess or checkers Sam?" Bandit asks you as if he was defeated and had just given up.
"I do, both actually, but I can't pay attention to the multiple possibilities and never win in chess." You tell him.
"See dear, no reason to try and grow their heads when what we need is to grow their hearts." Chilli says looking smugly to Bandit.
"Nah, he just needs to play more. Kids, why don't you watch me and Sam play a game of checkers? You two will surely learn by watching." He says confident.
"Okay." Bingo and Bluey say at the same time and put the board in front of you and Bandit. You put the pieces in the right places and the game begins.

He does the first move, and you do your's. You manage to capture a few of his, but then he captures a whole lot from you, almost doubling the amount you had and opening space for him to get a crown. After that he easily beats you.
"That was quick." Bingo states drily.
"That's normal, I have never beaten mom at the board games we have at home. I'm not good at them, but it's okay." You tell them.
"You're not sad that you lost?" Bandit asks you puzzled.
"Yeah, shouldn't you be mad that he did that crazy move and capture all your pieces?" Bluey asks even more puzzled than her dad.
"No, I can probably beat your dad in something. It's a matter of training and learning to be good." You explain.
"Oh, like Rusty beating everyone in cricket?" Bluey asks her dad, he rolls his eyes and nods.
"Yes, bluey, like Rusty in cricket." 
"What can you beat dad at?" Bingo asks you curious.
You think for a moment. "I don't know." You say shrugging.
"Hahahaha! That's the spirit kid, surely you can beat me at something." He says smugly and Chilli rolls her eyes as she walks past with a tray of toasts.
"All right, time to eat!" She says and all of you go to the dining table.

Toast and butter is good, although you prefer coffee you drink the juice they poured you whitout complaints.
"So, Sam, the house is still clean, we will probably clean it tomorrow. So for today, do you have anything you want to do in mind?" Bandit asks you.
While you could go look for work at the neighbor's houses, you should probably spend sometime getting to know your cousins, aunties and the neighbors. You don't really know any games, usually just going with the flow of the other kids or stay alone. Looking to the side you can see that Bluey and Bingo are already playing, so you can count on them to help you with playing a game and meeti-
"Earth to Sam! Are you there kid?!" Bandit calls your attention and makes your cousins giggle.
"Sorry, I space out to think things through..." You explain embarrassed.
"No worries, just checking. This house has been infested with faires and gnomes, they like to prank people, you can never be too safe about them!" He warns you and your cousins giggle again.
"I see... Anyway! Bluey, Bingo, do you two think you can help me with playing games and meeting the other kids around?" 
"Of course we can! There's Judo, Lucky and Lucky's brother. Maybe even more if they are on a playdate with someone!" Bluey says excitedly.
"Sounds cool." 

After that, you eat your breakfast, help with the dishes and cleaning the table. Chilli walks up to Bandit, who was standing along Bingo and Bluey waiting for you.
"Bandit, do you want me to tag along with the kids so you can have the morning for yourself?"
"Don't have to ask twice!" He says and walks to the living room.
"Well kids? You're gonna stay there or are you going outside and play with everybody?" Chilli asks almost rhetorically and all of you quickly run outside.
"Let's start with Judo!" Bluey says going to the house left of her's, knocking on the door and waiting, after a couple seconds, a woman with beautiful fluffy fur opens the door.

"Oh, hey Bluey, Bingo! How are you?" The woman asks nicely, before seeing you and making a confused expression. "And who are you? Our new neighbor?"
"Morning Wendy!" The girls say in unision.
"This is our new cousin Sam! Our auntie adopted him, he is so cool!" Bingo introduces you to the woman. You walk towards the door and extend your hand.
"Good morning, nice to meet you Wendy, I'm Sam." You say politely.
"It's a pleasure." She says shaking your hand. "So, how may I help you kids?"
"Can we play with Judo?!" Bluey asks excited.
"Sure, I'm gonna go tell her you're here. Just a minute." She says and walks away, a couple of minutes passes and a girl that looks just like her  opens the door.
"Hey Bluey! Hey Bingo!" She says excited.
"Hey Judo!" 
She turns to you. "You must be their new cousin, nice to meet you, I'm Judo." She poses with one hand on her hips and the other on her chest, proudly introducing herself to you.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Sam." You extend your hand just like you did to her mom and she shakes it.
"Come on Judo, we gotta call Lucky too!" Bluey says running off to the house on the right and you follow her. 

As you kids leave, Chilli walks up to Wendy and they greet eachother. 
"He surely is not as energetic as the rest, huh?" Wendy states to Chilli. 
"Yeah, he is way more timid and quiet." Chilli answers. "My sister adopted him and she tells me he is a great kid, helps with the chores, good grades and doesn't give her any trouble."
"Oh, I hope Judo becomes like him then! Hahaha!" Wendy jokes.
"Hahaha! I can only hope the girls learn something from him."
"Yeah."
"..." Chilli looks to the side for a moment, fidgeting with her hands. "Say Wendy..."
"Yes, Chilli?" She leans closer, curious to what her neighbor wants to ask.
"Do you also think Sam is cuter than the other boys his age..?" Chilli asks still looking to the side.

Your cousins have introduced you to Lucky and Chucky, now the only thing left is to choose a game. 
"Well, you guys want to welcome Sam right? Well, what if we play a game he is good at?" Lucky suggests.
"That's a good idea Lucky! What games do you like?" Blueys says turning to you.
"I like games that include running." You say bluntly.
"What about tag?" Judo suggests.
"I'm good at tag, but that would be too unfair, I think. Because I'm older, taller and most likely faster than all of you..." You don't want to make the game boring or annoying for them.
"You can't be that better than us, it will be fine!" Lucky says and everyone agrees.
"Ok, I start then. I will count to ten. One." Everyone runs off laughing and you keep counting calmly to ten. "Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine... Ten."

As soon as you finish you sprint off, as you exit the backyard from the pathway on the side of the house you see Bluey on the other side of the street, she blows you a raspberry, and you run to her smiling. She ducks to the side and run to the backyard of Lucky's house, you take no time to reach her and before she even gets there you tap her shoulder.
"You're it!" You yell and run away.
"What! You were all the way over there just a moment ago!!!" She protests in shock as you run away, you look back and she goes into the backyard, probably going after someone else. As you go back to the the sidewalk you see Judo and Lucky hiding behind some plant vases. You run past them, but telling them that "Bingo is it" before going to the backyard of your auntie's house. The game goes on for a while, you're still uncaught, you decide to sneak inside and make your way through the front door, you open just enough to peek through and see Chilli is there, she looks at you and smiles.
"There you are kiddo, I was wondering where you went. What you kids playing?" 
"We are playing tag, but it kinda evolved into a hide and seek too because of the space we have."
"Oh, who is it right now?"
"... I don't know." 

"You!" Judo shouts booping your nose from the other side of the door you couldn't see.
"What!" You shout and quickly leave the door to try and see someone. "You knew she was here?!" You ask your aunt.
"Yup." Chilli answers you.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Well, Judo told me you are really fast, too fast for her to reach. So I told her to use the terrain, she knows this place better than you, it's only fair right?" She explains with a smug look.
"Maybe you're right, wouldn't it be also fair to tell me where someone ran then?" You ask back with a daring face and she rolls her eyes.
"Bluey is down the street." 
"Thank you auntie!" You say running downhill.
"You're welcome."
Just like she told you, Bluey is at the bottom, she looks left and right, knowing you have the high ground. You sprint down at full speed at Bluey, she tries circling around you but you're way faster than her and boop the back of her head before running back up and away from her. 

The game goes on for a while and you play until lunch, you eat and your uncle asks you kids if you want to go out. Obviously Bluey and Bingo agree and he tells you that we're going after the food had settled down.
"Hey, do you want to play 'models' with us?" Bluey asks you.
"Sure. How do you play it?"
"We choose clothes for the models and then they walk down showing off!"
"That seems fun."
"Hooray!" The girls say in unision.
"You go as model first!" Bluey tell you and Bingo and you two wait for her to create a design. "Hmm... What should I dress you as?" 
"Dress them with beach clothes!" Chilli suggests from the couch.
"Oh, good idea!" Bluey says and begins to pick clothes from the pile she brought. "Let's see, Bingo, you will use this yellow swinsuit, a big hat and sunglasses!" She tells her sister and hands her to clothes. "Now, for Sam..."
"Give him something easy to swim too, like a swim trunk." Bandit suggests.
"Sure, but we don't have that. How can I give him that?"
"Maybe he can use one of Bandits old ones, do you still have them honey?" Chilli asks and he gets up.
"Let's find out, right?" He says walking away.
"You will also need other things... like swimming goggles!" She says tunning upstair and leaving you with Chilli.

"-one of Bluey's..." You hear barely a whisper from your aunt.
"Sorry, what did you say?" You couldn't hear, so you ask so she can repeat herself.
"Oh nothing! Oh hey Bingo!" 
Bingo is back dressed with the clothes Bluey chose for her, she looks like a mushroom walking, you can't help but giggle to yourself.
"You look adorable Bringo!" you tell her.
"Hihihi, thank you." 
Bluey then appears with swimming goggles, a umbrella hat, arm floaters and duck feet. She hand the clothes to you.
"Now we just gotta wait for the swimming trunks. Mom, do you think we are missing something?"
Chilli looks at you and Bingo, putting her hand on her chin to think.
"Hmm, Bingo could use some paint and Sam could use one of those floral shirts, don't you think?"
Bluey nods and runs to the pile of clothes, while she looks for it, your uncle comes back with a speedo.
"That's the best we have kiddo." He tells you handing over the speedo.
"That's okay."
Bluey shows the two floral shirts to her mom, and she picks one that is red with white flowers. You pick all of the clothes and goes upstairs to put the clothes on, on your way up you see Bluey applying paint to Bingo's face. In the guest room, you change into the "beach clothes", the umbrella hat is very funny to you and decide to put it last. You put on the speedo, the floral shirt, the floaters, the duck feet and the goggles, leaving your room and going downstairs. You wiggle left and right because of the duck feet, but manage to walk back to the living room.
"How do I look?" You ask them, already giggling yourself.
Needless to say everyone laughs, you, wanting to really get into the game, walks up to the center like a model you seem on the internet. You try at least, the duck feet not letting you have the dexterity needed for that, which makes everyone laugh even more. Looking at Bingo, she has her face completely covered in green paint.
"Why so much green?"
"It's sunscreen."
"Hahahaha! Okay, let's show them who owns the fashion scene!" You say and both start posing.

"Show how it's done Bingo!" Bandit cheers as the girls walks with her hands on her hips and a cute wiggle.
"You're doing great sweetie!" Chilli follows her husband.
After you and Bingo, Bluey picks clothes for her mom and dad. Bandit wore a diver swimsuit with a party hat for 'hydrodynamics'; while Chilli wore a pillow cover on her legs and used a mop as hair. When it was Bluey's turn, she wore ALL the clothes at the same time, arguing that was the only way to truly bring to life her fashion mastercraft!!! 
Everyone laughs and with that it's time to go to the park, Bingo has to clean her face and Bluey has to take off all those clothes, so you fill a waterbottle since you wanna go for a run in the park, and then outside to get some air. 

Outside, you see an old lady and think this is the perfect first client! Walking up to her you first introduce yourself. 
"Good evening ma'am. I'm Sam, I'm Chilli's new nephew." You tell her standing your hand.
"Oh, nice to meet you! I'm Doreen." She tells you shaking your hand. "Chilli told me her sister had adopted a kid and they were going to spend some days here." 
"Nice to meet you too." You say before cleaning your throat. "Uh, you see, I'm trying to save some money, and I wanted to work cleaning houses. Would you be interested in my services?" 
"Oh, well, I could use some help with the cleaning. Time has not been great on my back..." she says rubbing her lombar. "How much is it?" she asks.
"Minimum wage per hour. I usually take less than 2 hours to clean everything, so it's gonna be more or less 35 dollars at the end." 
"That sounds reasonable, when can you start?"
"Anyday!"
"Oh, how about tomorrow?"
"That would be perfect!" You tell her wiggling your tail.
"Than it's settled, see you tomorrow young man."
"See you soon Doreen!" You say and walk back to your aunts front door, waiting for them. Not after long your uncle opens the door and sees you. 
"There you are! We thought we have lost you! Didn't know what I was gonna say to Chilli's sister!" He says jokingly and you laugh.

"Chilli! Sam is here, let's go!" He shouts inside and Chilli comes out a few moments later.
"Alright, to the park!" Chilli announces.
"Hooray!" All three kids shout in union and enter the car.
The ride to the park is fun, with everyone talking, playing and making jokes. You calls your uncle's attention and remember what you wanted to ask.
"Uncle Bandit, I heard you like to run. Do you want to run 50 laps around the park with me?" You challenge him.
"Ha! You're on kid!" 
...
...
...
"Come on uncle, we are barely halfway!" You tell him while way ahead of him.
"Slow down! You *heavy breath* run to fast!" He pleads you.
"Nah!" You say before speeding up again.
"Come on Dad you can beat him!" Bluey shouts from the swings.
Bandit runs as long as he can before having to take breath, you keep going and run laps ahead of him. By the end of it, both of you are completely spent.
"Sorry *breaths in* for not believing *breaths out* you could beat me at stuff... You are really good at this, hehehe." He tells you while laying on the park bench.
"Thank you."
...
Back at your aunt's house you were the last one to take a bath. You really enjoy cleaning after getting all sweaty, and taking a hot bath after having such a great day felt even better. You finish your bath, dry off, and as you go open the door you see it's just slitghly open, which is weird because you could swear you closed it all the way. Admiting you probably left it open by accident, you just leave the bathroom and go on with the night. You eat dinner, play and go to sleep. 
Tomorrow is your first job!
