A new concept I've been tinkering with recently, Lola here is an amphibious, leech-like alien who subsists on a mostly liquid diet, consisting primarily of blood. In the distant past, her species obtained said blood from the megafauna that populated their homeworld - stealing sips from sleeping or otherwise dormant animals, without their 'prey' ever realizing they'd been supped upon. Nowadays, they're a bit more civilized about it, surviving mainly on synthesized liquid proteins - though a few, like Lola, are fond of indulging in the 'real stuff' from time to time (provided they can find a willing donor, of course).
Thanks to her rubbery, elastic skin, Lola boasts a truly boggling capacity for blood and liquid in general (as well as air, when necessary), and can inflate to many times her normal size when feeding or trying to entice a potential mate. As one might guess from her full, pert lips, she can generate a terrific amount of... er... 'suction' when the need arises, allowing her to take in tremendous quantities of blood or liquid in a single, monstrous gulp - or suck in absurd amounts of air in just one great, wheezing breath.
Lola is blind to visible light, but she can detect heat signatures, and her other senses - particularly those of touch, taste and smell - are superhumanly keen by comparison.
Despite her somewhat unnerving appearance, Lola is quite friendly, laid-back and just a little bit flirty. She loves to touch, hug and cuddle - be it in a platonic or sexual fashion - and is all too happy to trade the 'pleasure of her company' for a few sips of blood... provided she finds someone she likes, of course. Supremely comfortable with her body, she isn't the least bit shy about strutting around in the nude (clothing being largely ornamental in her culture), and enjoys bloating herself up with air or liquid in order to expand her already substantial curves - either to entice a potential mate, or for the sheer giddy pleasure of lounging about on her own monstrously engorged belly, breasts or rump. She is quite fond of music, and has learned to play several wind instruments, though she dislikes pausing for breath, and often tries to take in all the air she needs for a piece in advance, which often leaves her comically distended.
While not cold-blooded, Lola prefers warm temperatures, and is extremely sensitive to cold. Combined with her keen sense of touch, this makes her extremely fond of soft, fluffy sweaters, comforters, and - of course - cuddling. Her fashion sense can be rather... odd at times, however. Unable to perceive color (at least within the visible spectrum) she tends to select clothes based on how they feel, rather than how they look, resulting in some unusual - if not downright bizarre - wardrobe combinations.
Lola enjoys warm bubble-baths with scented oils. Her favorite smell (currently) is strawberries and cream. Since arriving on Earth, she's grown quite fond of hot chocolate, especially with a hint of raspberry.
