I sat on a stool in front of a yellow sheet of some form and the puppeteers performed what were something like shadow puppets of the animals behind the sheet and were made to look like they'd jump into my mouth. They just told me to open my mouth as wide as I could. This pic is the only one I was able to keep. It's during swallowing the dog and then right after. They actually used the same body for most of the puppet animals. They just replace the needed parts. ( The cat kind of looked more like a squirrel ). As the song progressed and as I swallowed more animals, they made my belly appear to be expanding by hiding a balloon attached to a hose under my clothes. They didn't have a functioning air-compressor on the set so they just hooked the hose up to a faucet and filled the balloon with water. The production values were what they were at the time and if you look down by my ankles, you can see the green garden hose going up my pant leg. Even though the clothes were actually mine, they weakened the threads of the buttons of my vest so they'd hopefully pop off. Right before I swallowed the goat, the bottom vest button shot right off startling some woman I think, but they were able to go on with the scene. The other buttons all popped off at once when they began filling the balloon after I \" swallowed the goat \" in question. By the time they got to the cow though, the balloon was filled so much that I could barely breathe, but I didn't tell anyone. I was insistent on making this work. So, after I sang \" perhaps I'll die \" when I was finished with the cow ( I had managed to get in a breath to sing somehow ), the balloon burst rather violently throwing me off the stool and onto my ass and flooding the set with water. Unfortunately, since it was so much work to set it all up again, they scrapped the idea and just used a puppet of an old lady.
